Calling all OPK-ers, Temp-ers, Clomid-ers, Femara-ers, IUI-ers, IVF-ers and anyone else on the TTC #1 Bus.

We've been going a while now so the novelty has worn off and we're slightly battle scarred and bruised in the cervix area. We don't get a lot of baby dust in these here parts, we just keep it legs spread and fingers crossed (LSFX). We love a baby bomb from a prior bus-mate but if we get told to 'just relax and enjoy it' ONE MORE TIME you will get a punch in the face!

Hop on board, post your stats and prepare to be dazzled by the wealth of TTC knowledge we long-timeys have to share...

Key:
HS - have/had sex
GOS - good old shag
ELH - enthusiastic lavatory happenings
LSFX - legs spread, fingers crossed

Thanks guys - unfortunately it's arrived. Went for a run and was feeling pretty good, but crappier now Sad. Working from home helps.

Had a quick consoling chat with OH which was nice - only cycle 5 & hadn't got cycles down initially, so onwards and upwards. Come on June!

Hope you're doing OK flash annoying about the progesterone - surprised it can lose effect that quickly

Sorry about AF, rainbow Flowers

Londonjam · 10/05/2017 13:17

Jeds that is puzzling, I really hope it's a good sign for you

Kath yes that's usually my experience too. Not sure why it took me by surprise.

Kerry they said I'd get some kind of follow up but it was very vague, I might give them a call today

Hycosy is with an ultrasound , HSG is X-ray. I believe is the difference!

@Londonjam Yeah hcg positive but with very low levels. Docs putting it down to a chemical.

Londonjam · 10/05/2017 13:19

Sorry quiet hope you're alright

I use softcups for AF which I love, no going back to tampons for me. Think mooncup is next stop!

Did an OPK and it's pretty much positive, could go a teensy shade darker but pretty much there. DH is on standby lol

P.S. Jed fx that's something positive, though totally know what you mean about heart v head!

Londonjam · 10/05/2017 13:20

Ah, sorry rainbow Sad I don't know if it will be reassuring to know you are conceiving having never had a CP, but I hope its not long until you get one that sticks

OP posts:
LoveRainbow02 · 10/05/2017 13:22

Yeah it is a bit reassuring. Putting it down to implanting late as I ovulated really late that cycle. Just going to go with the flow now until my IUI starts. Think that's the only thing that's keeping me going.

KerryLeanne84 · 10/05/2017 15:09

Rainbow do you know when it'll start? I have my #2 one starting in 4 weeks (assuming I don't get pregnant naturally this cycle, which, HA!).

Flashinthepan · 10/05/2017 15:47

Someone on a waiting to TTC until August thread has just found out she's 4 weeks pregnant.

I'm not sure all these people are real!

florafoxtrot · 10/05/2017 15:54

I saw that too Flash - it's hard not to feel a real sense of injustice.

Sorry to hear about AF Quiet

LoveRainbow02 · 10/05/2017 15:58

@KerryLeanne84 I'm just waiting on my letter coming in but I reckon I'll start end of June/July.

Flashinthepan · 10/05/2017 16:01

Flora I know! Maybe if we all collude and say we're all waiting, we'll magically get upduffed! Like tempting Sod's Law!

Sorry about AF Quiet, but well done for your run, even if you're feeling crappy now.

The progesterone thing is weird, have had no more bleeding today after that gush this morning (sorry that's so gross), and did take a pill afterwards. So maybe I am just a hormonally ravaged disgrace!

AlexiaB · 10/05/2017 16:20

So sorry Quiet CakeWine There's nothing to say you won't be upduffed very soon so hang in there. Hope you've got something nice planned to distract yourself.

Rainbow I'm sorry to hear of your loss Flowers Hope you won't need to do an IUI but it's a great backup to have.

Flash glad you've had no more bleeding. Keep on top of those tablets now! sorry I sound like your mum

Glad the Mooncup talk was a hit. skipper if AF arrives on a work day you could trial it in the evening/over night to get used to it. I don't think you'll experience leakage but wearing a pad made me feel safer to begin with.

Yay for the positive OPK Jam Star

AlexiaB · 10/05/2017 16:23

Someone was waiting to TTC and fell pregnant!? What the hell! Please don't tell me she was on birth control Hmm

harrietm87 · 10/05/2017 16:30

Hello all. You've reminded me to actually use my mooncup! I got one months ago, tried it out, realised I prob needed to cut the whole stem thing off and then never got round it!

I've got my appointment tomorrow at the private clinic. Apparently they take up to 14 vials of blood to test - eek! So looking forward to (hopefully) getting some answers.

Enjoy your GOS jam!

Flashinthepan · 10/05/2017 16:31

I second what Alexia said about trialling the mooncup, you could try it a couple of times not on your period, for an hour or so, and get used to taking it in and out, etc without the messier side of, so you feel more comfortable. It's not like tampons, there's no risk of using it as it's just medical grade silicone.

No Alexia that's just what I need, I've taken a sort of 'it won't help anyway' approach to things lately, which is good for some things, ie not beating myself up about having a glass of wine, but not so good for progesterone taking obviously!

And no, I don't think she was, which is the silver lining!

Flashinthepan · 10/05/2017 16:32

I cut the whole stem off mine too Harriet, couldn't work out how I'd ever be able to sit down otherwise, and thought maybe I just have a weird vagina! But so many people seem to have seen it now that it can't be too bad!

KerryLeanne84 · 10/05/2017 16:46

Rainbow - not long to wait then! If you have any iui questions give me a shout

LoveRainbow02 · 10/05/2017 16:48

I probs will have tons to ask kerryleanne so I'll keep that in mind lol. Good luck for yours.

AlexiaB · 10/05/2017 16:50

Good luck tomorrow Harriet. Hope it all goes smoothly and gives you the answers you deserve.

I completely cut off the stem too! Right down to the end. I freaked out and thought I must have an abnormally tiny vagina but girls on FF reassured me they did too, and now you both have I feel better Grin

Good shout to trial it when not on af too. When I first used my Mooncup I found it a bit 'weird'. I was over thinking it, and it arrived late so I started using it on CD3 when I was drying up. This time I used it CD1 and it was perfect! My favourite thing vs. tampons is leaving it in for hours (I don't mind if it's been 12-14 hours) and also how nice it is going to the toilet throughout the day and not needing to see blood, change a tampon or feel one uncomfortably full and slipping out. Plus money / environmental reasons you can't beat it.

Ok, well that makes it a bit easier to take Flash

Londonjam · 10/05/2017 17:47

Mooncup - what's the deal with size A and B?

OP posts:
Pyjamas81 · 10/05/2017 18:37

Loving all the mooncup chat! They really are the best invention ever! I think A is smaller than B jam (they recommend the larger one for those who have had children). I also cut the entire stem off mine or I would have felt it all damn day. Now I feel nothing and it's like I don't even have AF (apart from dragon mood)! It took a couple of tries to get my head around it, but then realised how much cleaner it all was compared to pads and horrible tampons (which not only absorbed AF but also every molecule of moisture in my entire body). And hurrah for your positive opk!

Sorry quiet - look after yourself tonight.

Can't believe someone waiting to ttc got pregnant - HOW?!

I think I've definitely ov'd now - got the usual bloatyness (nice) and opk is negative again. And, I got pain on my left side rather than my right, which is odd as it's always on my right! The right was also the tube which had a bit more trouble clearing the dye during the HSG. So I probably ovulated today - we just haven't got another GOS in us though so hoping the last three days was enough.

AlexiaB · 10/05/2017 18:38

Cup A is for those aged over 30 and/or have given birth vaginally (you'll need this one Jam). I have Cup B - under 30 and/or no vaginal birth.

Pyjamas81 · 10/05/2017 18:39

Ah thanks alexia - seems like I got it the wrong way around!

AlexiaB · 10/05/2017 18:45

No worries Pyjamas we XP. Glad you've O'd now, it's always such a relief Smile

Just realised I wasn't meant to say and/or no vaginal birth for Cup B. It's just for those under 30 with no vaginal births.
