Calling all OPK-ers, Temp-ers, Clomid-ers, Femara-ers, IUI-ers, IVF-ers and anyone else on the TTC #1 Bus.

We've been going a while now so the novelty has worn off and we're slightly battle scarred and bruised in the cervix area. We don't get a lot of baby dust in these here parts, we just keep it legs spread and fingers crossed (LSFX). We love a baby bomb from a prior bus-mate but if we get told to 'just relax and enjoy it' ONE MORE TIME you will get a punch in the face!

Hop on board, post your stats and prepare to be dazzled by the wealth of TTC knowledge we long-timeys have to share...

Key:
HS - have/had sex
GOS - good old shag
ELH - enthusiastic lavatory happenings
LSFX - legs spread, fingers crossed

Ahhh I remember the cycle when my tea tasted metallic. I've had all the symptoms. Apart from a BFP !

Hi all can I join? I'm TTC #2. I'm currently 9dpo and feeling very nauseous today! X

Pyjamas81 · 23/05/2017 21:26

Ah yes - I remember the cycle where the smell of DH's curry made me gag. Those were the days 😂

KerryLeanne84 · 23/05/2017 21:44

Aw Alexia that's lovely 🌷 What a sweetheart

Jam - it's so hot at the moment too! Hope you feel better soon

otters2017 · 23/05/2017 22:22

lisa glad the lines are getting stronger. Fx for you!

flash sorry to hear about your grandad. Glad the funeral went as well as it could. Roll on FW!

rabiya hope AF shows up soon for you and that your cycles sort themselves out!

sk1pper glad to hear that you ovulated. Whoop! Whoop! And good to know that raspberry leaf tea hasn't caused a problem.

alexia jam sorry you're both having a rough time. Hugs!

I'm CD 20, 6 days of flashing smileys so I'm going to stop testing and try to HS for the next few days then wait and see if AF shows up or if by some miracle I get a BFP. Also have consultant appointment on Thursday so something to look forward to.

harrietm87 · 23/05/2017 22:24

Oh jam I've got my fingers crossed for you! And skipper!

kath thanks - i once got a day off in lieu when I did triple my hours target in one month, so nowhere near that level after a week sadly. It's awful! How are you doing? Have things calmed down for you?

alexia I agree with skipper and others - there's a chance every cycle. Your body can trick you!

Hi hopingforabfp this is actually a ttc#1 thread (sorry - thread title doesn't make that clear!) so maybe not a perfect fit for you if you're lucky enough to already have a baby?

Rabiya · 23/05/2017 22:35

Otters2017- day 20 today no sign of af at all....i thought to do a home remedy so that my af starts...!!!

sk1pper · 23/05/2017 22:38

Rabiya - Raspberry leaf tea can induce AF ;) since we've all been talking about it so much recently

Rabiya · 23/05/2017 22:43

Sk1pper-where can i buy that???

QuietTime · 23/05/2017 22:49

Am OK, thanks alexia - feeling a bit crap about ttc, but trying to focus on work and other stuff instead (still on here though Grin). Glad things are OK with your DH, hope the counselling starts to help

Glad nausea passed skipper, fx for the 2ww

jam don't beat yourself up, totally understandable; loving people's random symptoms, btw

Good luck with your appointment, otters

Bad news this morning (16dpo) unfortunately - line has got lighter Sad

Pyjamas81 · 24/05/2017 07:34

Oh no Lisa 🙁 I understand why you'd be preparing yourself, but perhaps there's still hope? I read that lines can fluctuate a bit - is the line a lot lighter? 💐💐

LisaSimpsonsbff · 24/05/2017 07:46

Thanks, PJs. It's definitely noticeably lighter - and it's been two days, so it really should be clearly darker. It just feels so cruel - I had just started to feel a little more positive because the 14dpo test was the best line I've seen in any of the pregnancies.

Pyjamas81 · 24/05/2017 07:51

From what I can see on my phone Lisa, it is a little lighter than yesterday but that's still a pretty strong line. I know it's near on impossible, but try not to lose all hope and try to (I know, impossible) relax until you can test again. I am so so hoping for the best for you xxxx

Londonjam · 24/05/2017 08:02

Oh no Lisa Sad I really really hope it's all fine, could there be fluctuation between tests?

DH is in South Africa with work this week and I'm feeling quite grumbly about it. He's there with one of his best mates so they are basically on a jolly, went on safari at sunset yesterday and out for steak and red wine last night. Today they are golfing.

We've never done a safari before and he knows how much I would love to. When I spoke to him he said "it's not a safari" and then posted a video on instagram of elephants in this incredible national park with the sun setting behind. The post he wrote with it said 'safari'.

I'm here waiting for my period emotionally all over the place and he gets to have the time of his life and call it work. Plus he's not here to support me.

Trying very hard to be gracious and happy for him but struggling a lot today.

Pyjamas81 · 24/05/2017 08:22

No wonder you're feeling grumbly jam - hope today is a bit better for you 💐

No sign of AF this morning - I got som O pain two days after my positive opk, so who knows AF may be due tomorrow instead.

I'm all packed and ready to go - will miss DH (esp as we're getting on so well at the moment), but the time alone will do me good when AF arrives. Not hopeful, but that hasn't stopped me from packing about 8000 pregnancy tests!

sk1pper · 24/05/2017 08:40

Is it bad Lisa? I genuinely don't know. I thought a line still confirmed pregnancy?

LisaSimpsonsbff · 24/05/2017 08:44

Yes, it's bad, unfortunately. I am still pregnant, technically, but if hormones are dropping then I won't be soon. One test could be an anomaly, so I will retest tomorrow and see, but consistently lighter tests is a v bad sign. If you look there are a million threads where women say their lines are getting lighter, people give them a ton of false hope and say 'a line is a line!' - and they always end the same way, in early miscarriage.

LisaSimpsonsbff · 24/05/2017 08:47

Sorry, the tone of that was really off, I didn't mean it to be. I was genuinely trying to explain, but reading it back it sounds like I'm cross at you for asking. I'm not - I'm so grateful for all of your support! To be honest I'm a total mess this morning

Londonjam · 24/05/2017 09:13

I can understand you needing facts and not wanting false reassurance. I really, really feel for you - I can't imagine getting two lines and then seeing them fade, it's so cruel Sad
I really really hope it's not another mc Lisa 💐

HepKestrel · 24/05/2017 09:25

LSFX for you lisa

sk1pper · 24/05/2017 09:45

Lisa - I didn't read it in that way so no offence taken. I only research stuff as and when I need it, no doubt I'll be in a similar situation to you one day. I can understand your anxiety, try again tomorrow though - the tests are only slightly different and I still have hope for you.

florafoxtrot · 24/05/2017 09:47

Will catch up later but could really be done with some advice or hand holding. My 21 day bloods came back inconclusive and a reading of 29. However test was done on CD23 because CD21 was a Saturday. Based on my regular periods, OPKs and temping - my sensible head says I am ovulating and that it was just too late for the peak reading. But can anyone help? Sorry for such a self indulgent post - currently hiding out in work toilets crying - told my Mum and she baby bombed me with her return text!! Hmm

florafoxtrot · 24/05/2017 09:48

Just for clarity - my mum is not pregnant - but her colleague who might be the most unhealthy and dysfunctional person I've ever came across - is.
