Calling all OPK-ers, Temp-ers, Clomid-ers, Femara-ers, IUI-ers, IVF-ers and anyone else on the TTC #1 Bus.

We've been going a while now so the novelty has worn off and we're slightly battle scarred and bruised in the cervix area. We don't get a lot of baby dust in these here parts, we just keep it legs spread and fingers crossed (LSFX). We love a baby bomb from a prior bus-mate but if we get told to 'just relax and enjoy it' ONE MORE TIME you will get a punch in the face!

Hop on board, post your stats and prepare to be dazzled by the wealth of TTC knowledge we long-timeys have to share...

Key:
HS - have/had sex
GOS - good old shag
ELH - enthusiastic lavatory happenings
LSFX - legs spread, fingers crossed

This really, really sucks. I am literally sat over the toilet seat heaving. Nothing comes out I'm just sick to my stomach. I'm glad I didn't do 50mg of this drug, It would be a whitewash. Sad

LisaSimpsonsbff · 20/05/2017 07:13

I'm so sorry that you're so ill, skip - I hope you've managed to go back to sleep by now! Do you think that you should talk to your doctor about the side effects? I know all drugs have them, but this does seem extreme.

I have moderately good news, or at least not bad news. The tests got a little darker this morning. I'm still trying very hard to not get my hopes up - it made my second loss easier than the first that I had much less hope for it. It's also still so incredibly early - I don't think I started testing until 12dpo for the other two, so perhaps it'll get 'stuck' like they did a bit later on. But anyway, I'm going to try to relax (well, actually, to do a tonne of work - but that's distracting at least!) this weekend and not think about it - much easier said than done, of course. I'll do more tests on Monday and see how things are then.

That sounds horrendous sk1pper, is it definitely the Clomid rather than a bug? I hope you're feeling a bit better now, it really doesn't sound right at all. Can you rest up today?

Kerry, that's a v good question re work! I don't think anyone can like their job very much at 2am but I do generally find it okay and get paid relatively well so it's worth it in the end.

Lisa, hope you manage not to think about it too much over the weekend. I think giving yourself a break from POAS for a day or two is a good idea. Wishing you lots of luck.

Missy, don't feel guilty about drinking last weekend! Would have been far too early to matter.

Pyjamas81 · 20/05/2017 08:08

Oh wow skipper that sounds really shit 🙁 I was on medication once that made me feel sick and it felt like I'd poisoned myself. Really hope you're feeling a bit better - I find ginger beer helps me when I've got the voms.

That's great line progression missy!

We've got our counselling session at midday - not sure what we'll talk about as we've been getting on really well. However, I haven't been drinking over the last couple of weeks apart from one beer last night (so how I want to behave at the moment happens to coincide with what he sees is acceptable) and haven't had AF (which is the only time we fight). We'll see!

sk1pper · 20/05/2017 09:04

Lisa - oh that's great news and those tests look perfect! I know you've had problems in the past but I've heard of lots of people getting lighter tests the next day. Especially testing so early. I'm sending all my positive vibes your way, try to relax and enjoy the weekend xx

Pyjamas - ooh good luck, I'll be interested to know the topics you cover this time.

I'm sorry to keep whining about how sick I am, Im feeling sorry for myself and I'm going to make a conscious effort to stop moaning. I went back to sleep for 2 hours and when I woke up, nausea again. It's literally whenever I wake up after prolonged sleep so. Blaaaaaaaaah.....

Pyjamas81 · 20/05/2017 09:05

Sorry Lisa I meant you!

Pyjamas81 · 20/05/2017 09:07

And moan away skipper - nothing worse than nausea!

Kathrino · 20/05/2017 09:23

Ugh, absolutely no need to apologise sk1pper. You have absolutely every right to moan. It sounds utterly miserable.

Binkybunny13 · 20/05/2017 11:03

Well I have a really busy couple of days and fall off the thread again- and look what happens! Congratulations missy!🎉

And (cautious) congratulations Lisa- it must be so hard with your previous losses, really hope this time everything is different. The tests being clearly positive so early Im sure must be a good sign? Thinking of you and hoping for the best for you 💐

Jam- I know I'm late to this but I am so intrigued by pasta in milk! How are your feet?

Sorry about AF flash 💐** but great news about the gynae results

Skipper hope you're feeling a bit better after a bit of time? So sorry you've been feeling so dreadful 💐 Def no need to apologise, It sounds awful!

Hope today goes well with houses and counselling pyjamas!

Kathrino, Harriet and others who have had hard weeks- hope the weekend brings some fun and R&R!

We need to start HS soon as haven't since AF and now CD8..have been doing EOD approach and usually ovulate around CD18-22 I think, but with last couple of weird (or more normal cycle lengths!) months I'm not sure when to expect to potentially O. And typically now my DH is working for next 8days and sure he will moan he's too tired! 😬

Londonjam · 20/05/2017 11:41

Oh skipper you poor thing! Feel better quickly please xx

Missy so pleased for you, it always amazes me how people feel no different and get BFP! You would think you would know something so incredible was happening in your body

Hope counselling went well pyjamas

Thanks tonks Smile

Kerry good emoji use there 😂

Lisa that's brilliant, you can definitely see the progression. Keeping everything crossed for you

Kath what were you doing up at 8am please go back to bed !

Hello binky pasta in milk was good but I chucked in raw blended cauliflower which made it all a bit grainy Confused my feet are okay... still not ready to go back to those shoes!! Hope your DH can be persuaded

Have lovely weekends all. I'm intrigued to see what dress /es Pippa Middleton rocks today! 👀

sk1pper · 20/05/2017 12:34

Oh hey Binks! Yes you better get on that GOS horse right away 😂

Thanks everyone, you're all so understanding. I'm better now, just seems to be in the mornings, OH has taken me out for my favourite lunch so feel content right now. Hope everyone has lovely weekends!!

geeup · 20/05/2017 12:58

Sorry to jump on out of nowhere again and sorry to be predictable but how many dpo are you skipper?!?!? I'm still gunning for you lot from the wings and as someone who took clomid and didn't experience any of this, you know what I'm thinking right...

sk1pper · 20/05/2017 14:17

Geeup - only 5dpo, I can't believe it's morning sickness as much as I want it to be. Thanks though hon xx how are you?

otters2017 · 20/05/2017 15:52

How are you feeling sk1pper ?sorry you're feeling so rough. Moan as much as you like, that's what we're here for.

pyjamas how did the counseling session go? Spa break sounds great!

kerry well done on getting all the GOS in. Good luck!

rabiya at least the blood test will tell you one way or another. Do you have any symptoms ?

lisa really hope it works out for you. Tests are looking good so far!

It's cd17 here and still getting flashing smiley on my CBFM but negative on ic opks. Anyone else had this before ?
DH has just done his back in gardening and can hardly move now. Obviously worried about him but more importantly thinking how am I going to get a GOS in when he can't even move?! Argh such as timing. Should have banned him from the garden!!

sk1pper · 20/05/2017 16:18

Otters - I think the flashing on the advanced clearblue means it has noticed your estrogen rise. That happens before the LH surge. The IC only picks up the LH surge so it won't be picking up the preliminary estrogen rise.

QuietTime · 20/05/2017 16:35

Sorry about the nausea skipper, glad you're feeling a bit better

Congrats Missy and low-key congrats Lisa - lovely news! Fx all stays well

Sorry have forgotten people, struggling to keep up! Nothing much from me, just keeping up the GOSs

Rabiya · 20/05/2017 17:24

Otters2017-I don't have any symptoms...just light leg pain..and that's not even a symptom...symptoms will not show up until your hcg level increases...yesterday cd51 and bfn....so even if i am pregnant symptoms will not show hpt is negative that means my hcg is low....well.. I don't think i am pregnant...:(

HepKestrel · 20/05/2017 22:49

Hope you feel better soon skipper

Rabiya fx for your blood test. I think I know a little how you must be feeling. Last year, I was 7 weeks late and had bfn's including the blood test. Stress does crazy things to your cycles. But some people do only get bfp very late. Keep Zen and try to relax.

Rabiya · 20/05/2017 23:17

Hepkestrel-really!! 7 weeks late and bfn...so did u end up being pregnant...when did u do the blood test then???....i am just trying to relax..but really i can't...i am just thinking whether i am pregnant or not 24/7....i am just so nervous first time checkup...i am just thinking that i may have cyst or fibroids or blocked tubes..Aaaah! I am thinking sooo negative right now!!!....

HepKestrel · 21/05/2017 06:38

rabiya my blood test was booked when I was almost 2 months late. This blood test was correct- 0 hcg. I conceived after this point and MC later.

I am not trying to lower or raise your hopes.

There are many of us we whose cycles have done odd things just to piss us off confuse us.

Try to have a nice walk in the good weather and keep calm. You will have clarity soon. Breath.

Rabiya · 21/05/2017 08:00

Hepkestrel-Ohh!! Sorry to hear that!!!...yeah u are right trying to relax...many of us experience late cycle coz of stress...my periods would have been late coz of stress....1 day left for bt!!!

Pyjamas81 · 21/05/2017 08:23

Hope everyone is enjoying the weekend!

How is your DH's back doing otter?

Glad you're feeling a bit better skipper 😊

Such a busy day yesterday! Counselling went well and DH thanked me for suggesting that we do it - it's really going to help us. A lot of it yesterday was talking about our upbringing - both our sets of parents are divorced, the way we deal with conflict in each family is very different and we both have dysfunctional relationships with the parent of the opposite sex. TTC is bringing all these things into sharp focus where basically we're trying to build an strong and stable family, but neither of us have any experience of being in one so we have no point of reference. All very interesting and lots to think about - we're going again in two weeks. I'm learning and understanding a lot about him which is great.

We then went to see a couple of houses - one which is comfortably in our budget and one which would be a stretch just to see what the extra could get us - obviously I totally fell in love with the one which was a stretch. It was gorgeous!!!!! Lots to think about there as well. We're fine in our house at the moment, and I'd rather wait until we can move into a house like the stretch one as it's the kind of house we could stay in for years and years.

12dpo now and still no symptoms - let's see if spotting starts today...

HepKestrel · 21/05/2017 09:03

pyjamas Glad the counselling went well!

So whilst I am trying to maintain my 5km running fitness, OH is doing really well trying to lose weight and get fit. He is cycling approx 50 miles a week, and thinks he has started to lose some pounds. I think he has lost some weight too. unfortunately our bathroom scales are v. dodgy !

Think i am 13dpo. sore boobs ahoy. Logically, chances are slim this month. So I am grateful my cycle is behaving itself..... OH and I are fitter and therefore our chance next cycle is much better.

sk1pper · 21/05/2017 09:18

Pyjamas - that counselling session sounds great, I find it so interesting when they explain why people react to high pressure situations the way they do. I am certain that once you both have what you're seeking, you'll make bloody excellent parents and all this heartbreak will seem like a distant dream.

Hep - your Zen and positivity is a beautiful thing. Well done to both of you for focussing so much on the exercise and weight-loss.

Fx to both of you and anyone else at the end of the 2ww!

Londonjam · 21/05/2017 09:32

Otters I rely solely on ICs; from people's experience here clear blue seems very unreliable. Hope your DH back is okay!

Lisa hope all continuing smoothly

To echo skipper your positivity is inspiring hep well done to your oh too

Pyjamas glad the counselling is helping you guys so much - and that your DH sees the benefit too. It's fascinating how much your own upbringing continues to shape your relationships and behaviours for life really. House viewings sound really exciting too!

Fx for you too skipper, rooting for your clomid boost

I've got all the PMS going on at 10 DPO but feel strangely zen about it now. What will be will be. Definitely coping better with it these days.

It's a beautiful sunny morning here so I'm waiting in bed with the papers and a coffee for DH to wake up and look alive. Going to drag him out for brunch 😁
