Calling all OPK-ers, Temp-ers, Clomid-ers, Femara-ers, IUI-ers, IVF-ers and anyone else on the TTC #1 Bus.

We've been going a while now so the novelty has worn off and we're slightly battle scarred and bruised in the cervix area. We don't get a lot of baby dust in these here parts, we just keep it legs spread and fingers crossed (LSFX). We love a baby bomb from a prior bus-mate but if we get told to 'just relax and enjoy it' ONE MORE TIME you will get a punch in the face!

Hop on board, post your stats and prepare to be dazzled by the wealth of TTC knowledge we long-timeys have to share...

Key:
HS - have/had sex
GOS - good old shag
ELH - enthusiastic lavatory happenings
LSFX - legs spread, fingers crossed

Ooh pasta cooked in milk sounds v interesting Jam. I must try it!

I'm still waiting for DH to let me know he's on his way home so I can start dinner. Not that I actually know what we're going to have. Am having a glass of rosé though because the weather is obviously so summery...

Good news on the gynae results Flash

Pyjamas81 · 17/05/2017 20:05

Ooooo that looks lovely jam! I was going to cook a nice healthy meal tonight, then couldn't be arsed. So deliveroo is bringing Wagamamas as I type, that's healthy right?!!

AlexiaB · 17/05/2017 20:40

So sorry about AF Flash Flowers Hope you've already tucked into your delicious dinner!

Jam that looks/sounds lovely.

Love Wagamamas!!! pyjamas 👍

We had simple homemade Indian - daal and rice, and aloo.

KerryLeanne84 · 17/05/2017 20:46

Alexia - TWICE A DAY sex?! With five kids Shock

All your dinners are making me jealous, I can't be bothered with cooking nice stuff lately

Londonjam · 17/05/2017 20:55

Kerry I know Shock Just checked her chart - they HS: Weds, Thurs, Sat, Sun x2, Mon and Weds!!!

I think it's amazing they're still that active after years of marriage; her kids are 11, 9, 6, 4 and 2. The last 3 were all accidents (!) the first was conceived first time off the pill, the 2nd took 6 months. She has pcos though (might inspire some!). She sadly lost identical twin girls in July at 23 weeks due to TTTS and had a 9 week mc in March last. She's looking for one more and a happy ending. I love her, she's like the sister I've never had and her support/phone calls/messages really pick me up. There's no way I could talk to any of my real life friends about TTC the way I do with her.

MissyJones80s · 17/05/2017 22:11

Hi all, sorry I've been MIA was a bit disillusioned due to DH being away during FW again. Also as I think someone posted earlier on in this thread about it being perhaps a long term ttc thread. I kind of felt I was a bit of an inbetweener whilst ttc for 8 cycles now but not actually having seen my GP yet or referred for any treatment or tests...kind of felt like my questions were a little bit like I don't know hmm naieve but none the less it was great to get you guys informing me on all the stuff I had no clue on lol! Having said that I miss catching up on the thread so have started to hover again if you don't mind.
I'm in a bit of a weird one this cycle. Had GOS 4 days before positive OV test but DH away for OV. Anyway I have been feeling really like AF on way since Friday. AF was due Sunday and still not here. Still feel like going to have AF any moment. Not done test as convinced it hasn't happened this month. Must be a weird cycle or something. Grrr do you think I should try a test I don't see how the heck I could be pregnant at all? Cycles are weird-fact!

Londonjam · 17/05/2017 22:50

Missy you are so welcome here! Please don't go anywhere! And take a test please 🤞🏼

OP posts:
AlexiaB · 17/05/2017 23:42

Yes Missy - you're very welcome here! Please never feel like you're not a part / can't be a part of this group. And TEST! Keeping everything crossed for wonderful news 🤞🏼

QuietTime · 18/05/2017 07:00

"It's just a doctor that looks like Dawn" hahahaha - thanks for the heads-up flash & Alexia

Sounds like test territory Missy, fx for you - and I'm only cycle 6 (finally counted) so do stick around!

Sorry about AF flash hope you're doing OK ( and enjoyed dinner :) )

sk1pper · 18/05/2017 07:31

Oh Missy, we all have to start somewhere and everyone is welcome on this thread. That's what makes it so awesome. If you've got a couple of tests lying around I would definitely be tempted to, but up to you entirely.

I'm only 2dpo and having so many symptoms. Yesterday morning and this morning woke up feeling queasy to the point I thought I needed to throw up, but didn't. And aside from that I have felt physically exhausted since ovulation, I've been falling asleep as soon as my head hits the pillow. For me it's unusual, but I recognise it's far too early for this shit so I'm hoping someone will slap me in the face and tell me to get a grip.

otters2017 · 18/05/2017 07:43

Morning all. Hope everyone had lovely dinners. Sounded great! We were really naughty and had a take away which we rarely do.

Cd 15 today and finally got a flashing smiley although the ic opk was still negative. Will test it again later today. Feeling excited that we have another chance but trying to manage expectations as each time it's soul destroying my devastating.

Kathrino · 18/05/2017 08:19

I'm sorry if we made you feel at all excluded Missy, that certainly wasn't the intention and it's lovely to see you back with us. I'm in the definitely test camp too, particularly if you were OPKing so you're relatively sure of your ovulation date. Keeping everything crossed for you!

Sk1pper, I hate it when you get symptoms but know that it couldn't possibly mean anything (yet!). Our bodies are definitely screwing with us.

Rabiya · 18/05/2017 08:34

Hi ...i am new to this thread
Ttc#1
Cycle 3
My cycle ranges from 28 to 35...today is cd 50 and bfn... soo confused..why my af is so late...any1 experienced this kind of sitiuation???? Any advices and thoughts will be appreciated!!! ....going for blood test on 22nd

Londonjam · 18/05/2017 08:54

Skipper could those be clomid side effects? Did you have more ovulation pain than usual, or notice anything else unusual?

My clomid tablets have arrived from the oxford online pharmacy. I feel incredibly apprehensive about taking something I haven't been prescribed, but I just feel desperate to do something to help. AF arriving will be the final motivation I need to go for it I think

Fx for your IC otters

Sorry can't help you too much there rabiya, have you tried different brands of pregnancy tests?

OP posts:
Londonjam · 18/05/2017 08:56

I'm 7 DPO today and feel like all the hormones came in last night. Terrible insomnia, roasting hot, so bloated I look pregnant, very windy, spot by my mouth, mood plummet... ugh. All in time for my review today - lucky me.

Although I'm pretty pissed off with my manager at the moment so the hormones will help me stand my ground and not hold back!

OP posts:
Rabiya · 18/05/2017 09:01

No!! I just used one brand!! The appointment is on 22nd just 3 days to go...

KerryLeanne84 · 18/05/2017 09:02

Ah Alexia that is SO nice that you've made such a good friend online! Amazing!

Missy - please don't head off, you are definitely welcome! Flowers

Welcome to to Rabiya - I've not experienced long cycles but others in the group may have.

I'm on CD 14 and getting a lot of EWCM so fingers crossed ov is around the corner - only problem is OH is SUPER sick. I need to see if he's feeling well enough for a GOS tonight

Flashinthepan · 18/05/2017 09:42

Missy just as others have said, please don't feel like that at all. We're all in it together, wherever we're at! Also please test (because I need to know!)

I can't help much I'm afraid Rabiya although I think it's been mentioned before that sometimes a very long cycle can be a sign that you didn't ovulate? I'm sure someone who knows more about that will be along to correct me if I'm wrong! Hopefully you get some answers soon.

Sorry you're feeling yukky Skipper although hopefully that will turn out to be a good thing in a couple of weeks!

Jam I think as long as you make yourself aware of any potential side effects and keep an eye on yourself it'll be ok. FX for your review, give them hell!

Flashinthepan · 18/05/2017 09:43

To continue the food discussion from last night: if you were home alone for the evening, what would you make (I need ideas!)

otters2017 · 18/05/2017 11:18

missy do test and let us know

Hello rabiya sorry I don't know anything about long cycles as thankfully mine have been regular. What is your blood test for?

jam good luck with clomid. Hope it works for you

kerry hope your OH is well enough for GOS.

flash if I'm on my own I tend to cook simple as can't be bothered. Pasta with sauce or grilled salmon and veg. Maybe a stir fry. What do you feel like having ?

KerryLeanne84 · 18/05/2017 12:23

I really need to sort myself out on the food front - if I'm on my own I normally have scrambled eggs or some yoghurt - nothing like you Otters!. Terrible I know! I just can't be bothered lately, I really need some inspiration so if anyone has any delicious quick meal ideas, let me know!

Flashinthepan · 18/05/2017 12:50

I have decided to make steak tagliata! Healthy and quick, but also delicious.

Londonjam · 18/05/2017 13:35
