Calling all OPK-ers, Temp-ers, Clomid-ers, Femara-ers, IUI-ers, IVF-ers and anyone else on the TTC #1 Bus.

We've been going a while now so the novelty has worn off and we're slightly battle scarred and bruised in the cervix area. We don't get a lot of baby dust in these here parts, we just keep it legs spread and fingers crossed (LSFX). We love a baby bomb from a prior bus-mate but if we get told to 'just relax and enjoy it' ONE MORE TIME you will get a punch in the face!

Hop on board, post your stats and prepare to be dazzled by the wealth of TTC knowledge we long-timeys have to share...

Key:
HS - have/had sex
GOS - good old shag
ELH - enthusiastic lavatory happenings
LSFX - legs spread, fingers crossed

Hi lisa (and everyone). He told me to take it from now and throughout cycle when ttc. He said proven to help support conception and pregnancy. Obviously haven't had any of my tests back yet and he gave it to me on a printed card saying it was his standard recipe so I think it's for everyone.

Re hyperfertility, he said it's common for his patients (people with recurrent mcs and underlying problems) to be hyperfertile, so maybe there's a link. I'm pretty sure he's going to find I've got some kind of autoimmune issue, but we will see.

Jeds55 · 11/05/2017 22:22

Thanks re EPO feedback Flash, Jam & Sk1pper agree that prob just a cycle fluctuation due to factors other than EPO. Will carry on this cycle as did help with ewcm.
Lol Pyjamas that sounds like our foreplay during fw! I definitely get the feeling of relief when it's over for another month, esp if we've managed a few GOS at the right time. Unfortunately the relief is replaced by crazy symptom spotting after a few days!

sk1pper · 12/05/2017 08:56

I'm on my way to get my scan done at the hospital. The bus takes an hour to get there. OH feels really guilty for not being able to take me but he has to book holiday in order to do that (his work isn't very flexible) and he's nearly out of holiday because of all the meeting and procedures I've had done. Totally sucks...

But I'm not too worried about it, it's just a pain getting there and back.

HepKestrel · 12/05/2017 09:04

Best wishes for your scan skipper

florafoxtrot · 12/05/2017 09:15

Hope the scan goes ok Skip

harrietm87 · 12/05/2017 09:20

Good luck skipper - is this your scan to see how clomid is doing?

sk1pper · 12/05/2017 09:33

Yes Harriet - literally on the bus ovulating as well, so much pain in my side.

Flashinthepan · 12/05/2017 09:45

GL for the scan Skipper. Have you managed much GOSing this cycle?

sk1pper · 12/05/2017 10:05

Yeah enough I think :) I'm really going round the houses at the hospital. Get this form, go here, wait, get another form, go here, scan, get another form, go back to where you started...ugh

Flashinthepan · 12/05/2017 10:12

I think hospitals are designed to be so complicated that you don't realise how long you've been there!

Also, and I don't want to be this person, but 8 dpo today, and my boobs are suddenly really sore, having not hurt at all this cycle, when they normally start hurting the day after OV. I'm trying to put it all down to the progesterone.

Someone please remind me that there is no point testing until next Wednesday!

KerryLeanne84 · 12/05/2017 10:17

Oh Flash! You never know... but testing this early is definitely not a good idea. Maybe in a couple of days, if you really want to. 💗

Flashinthepan · 12/05/2017 10:23

Thanks Kerry. Fortunately I have no tests right now. But have ICs arriving tomorrow and am afraid I'll get carried away. Must try not to. I am normally pretty good. Even when I've had FRERs I've normally not tested until about 12 dpo. But sometimes I get the urge to pee on sticks! Especially when it was £3 for 20! Something I never thought I would ever particularly want to do. TTC does strange things.

sk1pper · 12/05/2017 10:27

I hope it's good news for you Flash xx

Flashinthepan · 12/05/2017 10:36

Oh Skipper I think I'm just symptom spotting for fun these days. I've had every early pregnancy symptom going in the 2WW before, so I don't even really believe myself. Thanks though!

Have you had your scan yet? Or still being sent on a long-winded form carrying mission round the hospital?

sk1pper · 12/05/2017 10:59

I know what you mean with regards to symptoms, anything that gives us that little bit of hope!

Yes all done, didn't appreciate being sat in a waiting room full of happy couples having their baby scans done. They're examining their unborn children in black and white and I'm looking at my sexual organs in black and white and thinking, "I hate you ovaries".

Scan was fine though. No cysts, no fibroids and was instructed to HS asap as I'm literally about to ovulate (as I expected).

HepKestrel · 12/05/2017 11:05

Fx for you flash. No point testing yet. Could be good sign, or just AF throwing a random symptom at you. Keep Zen.

KerryLeanne84 · 12/05/2017 11:09

It does do strange things - hugs Flash! I've been there too. When I had my first IUI I told myself not to get my hopes up but I was still devastated when it didn't work.

Flashinthepan · 12/05/2017 11:13

Sounds good Skipper. Make sure you jump DP/DH when you can!
I know what you mean about the scans and happy people. Even when I was pregnant I've only ever had ultrasound scans with an empty uterus, it's very depressing.

Thanks Hep I'm taking some of your zen. I've got lots to keep me busy so I'm going to set it as a challenge not to POAS until Wednesday.

Thanks Kerry. With TTC hope is all we have, but also a bit of a bugger sometimes!

Pyjamas81 · 12/05/2017 11:41

Glad your scan went ok skipper and yes, get shagging!!

I'm in that wonderful part of the cycle where all the hard work is done and the crazies haven't set in yet. Good times 👍🏼

Flashinthepan · 12/05/2017 11:50

Ah the chill out stage Pyjamas. That's the best bit.

I'm right there with you now, as I've started bleeding again so I know I'm out (I know, I know, you're not out til you're out). The progesterone does seem to be a bit weird re breakthrough bleeding, but I'm hoping it'll give everything a good clear out and reset things. That seems to have been his reason for prescribing it.

It has a strangely zen effect to know you don't have to wait or wonder as you already know the outcome.

harrietm87 · 12/05/2017 12:06

Great news skipper! Go forth and HS!

Sorry flash. Maybe your cycle will take a little while to readjust?

Does anyone have any good weekend plans? I'm doing one of those escape games tomorrow - really looking forward to it! So glad it's Friday as well.

Pyjamas81 · 12/05/2017 12:15

What's an escape game Harriet? I'm intrigued!

Sorry about the bleeding flash, but as you say, a sense of certainty sometimes helps.

DH and I are doing our 16km hike tomorrow, then I stupidly have a personal training session on Sunday morning. If I haven't lost at least 800 stone by Monday, I'll be very upset ha ha

LisaSimpsonsbff · 12/05/2017 12:23

Agree with you on the zen, flash - FF has now confirmed ovulation and that we didn't HS at anywhere near the right time. It's kind of nice - obviously not a long term plan (!) but a good respite.

I'm on my way to my best friend's wedding, which is tomorrow - I have to give a speech and I'm terrified!

Thanks for the info about the aspirin, Harriet. I've never done one of those escape games but I know someone who did it on a stag - he loved it!

Londonjam · 12/05/2017 12:35

It's 0425 here and I'm wide awake , 8 hr time difference is brutal

Sorry about the secondment pug , their loss

Eva I couldn't see anything but fx for next test. We haven't had a grad in aaaaages

Harriet 20 vials my goodness 😦 glad you're getting help. Omega 3? Does anyone else take that?

Happy TWW pyjamas we're almost synced this cycle

Flora I sometimes get EWCM 2-3 days before ovulation. I think by the time you actually ovulate the cm should be thinner and more slippery to help the sperm swim through

Great news on the scan skipper really hope you and your DH are one of the happy couples in the waiting room very soon

Hope you're alright flash I still symptom spot it's impossible not to

AlexiaB · 12/05/2017 12:51

Flash 8dpo is when I start itching to test! When I have cheapies I find it so hard not to test early (I once tested at 6dpo Blush) so I'm not going to say don't test; just do whatever makes you feel better. Sometimes I test just to prove I'm not pregnant so I don't waste time being hopeful. Sorry you've had more bleeding Flowers

Glad the scan went well skipper now get shagging! (well as soon as you physically can)

Hope you can get some more sleep Jam

Flora I got my first bit of ewcm on CD9 last cycle and didn't O until CD15/16.

Harriet that will be a fun distraction! Wish I had something exciting booked for this weekend. Just work and lounging around probably.
