Calling all OPK-ers, Temp-ers, Clomid-ers, Femara-ers, IUI-ers, IVF-ers and anyone else on the TTC #1 Bus.

We've been going a while now so the novelty has worn off and we're slightly battle scarred and bruised in the cervix area. We don't get a lot of baby dust in these here parts, we just keep it legs spread and fingers crossed (LSFX). We love a baby bomb from a prior bus-mate but if we get told to 'just relax and enjoy it' ONE MORE TIME you will get a punch in the face!

Hop on board, post your stats and prepare to be dazzled by the wealth of TTC knowledge we long-timeys have to share...

Key:
HS - have/had sex
GOS - good old shag
ELH - enthusiastic lavatory happenings
LSFX - legs spread, fingers crossed

Forgot to say Jam that I've been taking Omega 3 for ages now, it's a really crucial supp for ttc. I got mine from cytoplan. Flaxseed powder is high in Omega 3 too and a great thing to add to smoothies.

harrietm87 · 12/05/2017 15:12

jam and alexia my consultant was recommending the pregnacare that comes with omega 3 - its called pregnacare plus. But I'm sure any other tablet would do fine!

pyjamas it's a kind of puzzle game where you get locked in a room (with your team), and have to solve clues/puzzles to "escape". I think it will be great but will report back on Monday!

Flashinthepan · 12/05/2017 15:25

Harriet I've done two and loved them!

Gout out of one, didn't make it out of the other. Good way to spend an hour though!

InspectorPenguin · 12/05/2017 15:27

I have just bought the Pregnacare, thanks Harriet. Will pop to Boots for the other bits over the weekend.

Sk1pper that great news about the scan, I hope you enjoy plenty of hopeful shagging tonight and over the weekend. I'm very envious of your ovulation after my barren month!

Flora I don't often get any kind of EWCM, but the few times I have it's usually started 4 or 5 days before ovulation (often only lasting 24 hours or so).

Sorry about the bleeding Flash but sounds like you're hopeful for things being better next cycle which is some consolation I hope.

Good luck with the speech Lisa - think I'd be terrified too!

Harriet I'd love to do an Escape Game but not sure I could convince anyone else. Did the Crystal Maze last year and loved it! Have fun :)

AlexiaB · 12/05/2017 16:07

Harriet yes, I just mentioned cytoplan for anyone currently taking a different prenatal but wanting to add Omega 3. Having looked at Pregnacare with Omega 3 (is it the pregnancy one? I can't find a conception one) the Omega 3 amount isn't that high. I take 1000mg daily.

skipper was wondering if they said anything about your lining at the scan?

HepKestrel · 12/05/2017 19:15

lisa make sure you only take a small dose of aspirin though. stick to 75mg (NOT the normal dose)

sk1pper · 12/05/2017 19:27

Alexia - they did, it was fine. Can't remember the measurements but I did have my womb lining measured before and it was okay then too. Why do you ask?

WingingIt83 · 13/05/2017 08:17

Cd1 cycle 16 right on time Hmm

Not surprised and luckily absolutely no symptoms to trick me this time round.

Jeds55 · 13/05/2017 08:22

Oh sorry to hear that Winging think am right behind you. Negative preg test just now, expect af later today. Going for a run (at least won't feel guilty about pushing it) then got my fav bottle red for later to soften the blow!
Happy Saturday all, FX for some bfps on here soon

Kathrino · 13/05/2017 08:44

Sorry about AF winging. Hope you're doing okay Flowers

Sorry too for you Jeds Flowers

sk1pper · 13/05/2017 08:56

Sorry Winging, at least it's the weekend and you can deal with it however you need to xx

And sorry about your BFN Jeds xx

sk1pper · 13/05/2017 09:01

FYI I just thought I'd show you this. Two advanced clearblue opks (one has Bluetooth sensitivity for a study I'm doing). One is low fertility and the other is high, same FMU. Needless to say I won't be using these anymore.

Jeds55 · 13/05/2017 09:29

Sk1pper that is ridiculous! Is it first time this cycle you've used them? Hate the fact that we have to resort to these things.

Boyf and I decided to not opk next cycle and go with the GOS every other day as finding the stress of a positive puts too much pressure. Must lock away the opks

AlexiaB · 13/05/2017 11:00

Skipper I was curious because they say Clomid can thin your lining but good to hear you've had no bad side effects. Will you stay on 25mg if there's a next cycle?

Sorry about AF Winging Flowers and sorry for the BFN Jeds Flowers

Jeds55 · 13/05/2017 13:23

Well af arrived during run, luckily was prepared! Onto month 17 overall, cycle 4 since mmc. Surprisingly not too upset as early ov caught us out so only had max 2 GOS at right time

sk1pper · 13/05/2017 13:38

Alexia - ahh I see, well I did up my intake of raspberry leaf tea as per your advice, so maybe that's why? They are keeping me on 25mg, i think I would of liked to have tried a full tablet but they seemed happy with the readings. I may suggest it as an option at the next meeting. My desire to conceive (relatively) naturally means I'm prepared to try a few different options before IVF.

Londonjam · 13/05/2017 14:43

Sorry winging and Jeds FlowersFlowers

Skipper those OPKs! Ridiculous

Paige are you still with us? Any luck testing?

Missy and unicorn also due soon. Hoping we will have some more grads! Fx

Sorry Jed and winging. Hope you can do some nice things this weekend.

Yes jam we definitely need a bfp. Was carly our last?

I've been having crampy feelings all day, not sure if it's the progesterone or just random but very annoying.

Pugmummy87 · 13/05/2017 17:45

Sorry jed and winging Hope you can do something nice this weekend to take your mind off it.

skipper I gave up in the end with those clear blue sticks. So stressful. I am starting the cheap opks again this cycle.

Does Raspberry leaf tea help to thicken lining then? I'm aware of it's effects in pregnant women.

Good to hear the scan confirming that you are about to ovulate. What cd are you?

I'm getting lots of pulling/niggling type pains on my right side of my lower tum today. Cd7, took last Clomid tab last night. Also woke up sweating during the night. Delightful side effects!

I saw this picture on a fb group I'm on about a partner feeling ill on ovulation day and had to show it to you all as it proper made me lol.

AlexiaB · 13/05/2017 18:53

Haha Pug 😂

If you're on Clomid ideally you should be drinking raspberry leaf tea 2-3 times a day from AF to O. I dislike hate tea so I took it in tablet form and drank pomegranate juice daily from AF to O.

Drinking grapefruit juice can help counteract Clomid's drying effects on CM but use Preseed too.

Eva30 · 13/05/2017 21:03

Thank you all for examining the previous squinter (or not) previously on 9dpo - I finally got my bfp yesterday, and it got a little bit darker today at 11dpo.
This was cycle 14, I literally had given up hope. I have everything crossed for all of you xx
