Fred rules (copied and adapted from previous Fred)

  1. Thou shalt shag as much as humanly possible in order to get upduffed.
  2. Thou shalt not partake of OPKs, temping, or charting.
  3. Thou shalt keep symptom spotting to a minimum.
  4. Thou shalt share with your fredmates where needed.
  5. Thou shalt not be offended by the word vagina.

JSing lingo

ERTD = Evil Red Tide of Dooooooommmmmmm. Or AF to most others. Also known as 'the witch', 'bitch witch' and 'that one with the red shiny convertible'

Viroid = This is you, dear poster. This is from the first JS thread when someone tried to type 'ladies' and it autocorrected to 'Viroids' - so there you go!

Pant snot = Egg white cervical mucus.

Doing a Kitten = Getting upduffed soon after joining (warning: may induce envy in other posters).

POAS = Pee On A Stick (of the pregnancy detecting kind, not from a tree). Also known as PIAR (Pee In A Ramekin - cos we're posh birds innit), or PIATLH (Tea light holder), PIAWG (Wine glass) or anything else you care to pee in! PONF = Pee on Nigel Farage (Self explanatory)

ROC = Receptacle of Choice - what one chooses to use for the task of POAS. Optional decorations include photographs of controversial political leaders.

JIAC = Jizz in a Cup. Preferable to jizz on the carpet or jizz in the eye. This one's for the lucky men in our lives.

Jizz in a bra = how we transport the jizz to the Sperm Queen

Shagging like something = JSing like a teenage nymphomaniac.

Giving a hooya = Giving a much needed slap to a fellow poster in danger of slipping into TTC obsession. Warning - this may happen to you if you start trying to POAS at 5dpo. PUT. THE. PISSY. STICK. DOWN. IT'S TOO EARLY!

Contraband (or Cuntraband) = Of COURSE none of us EVER partake of any silly OPKs or temp charting. They are Contraband.

Icing = ovulating. Another autocorrect development!

Getting your Cape on = planning some serious pouncing on DH/DP

SOTM = Shagger of the Month. Awarded with varying regularity to those viroids who go above and beyond EOD shagging in pursuit of that BFP

TWOT - Two Weeks of Torture. AKA Schroedingering!
TWPU - Two Week Piss Up!

Keeping your gingers = fingers crossed, yet another autocorrect development! Shortened to 'gx'

Doing a Lemon = Testing WAAAAAAAY to early!

Miroid - The male compadre of a viroid

Cat - Compulsory

Skittletits - Killer molten painful tits and nipples

Ghost jizz/goat jazz - When the amazing foof sucks up all the jizz - achieved when coming at the same time/nearly the same time.

Hi all,

So sorry fuzzy and user to hear about your mcs too - I missed those, I'm sorry. We can be hopeful together. I conceived my son after my first ever mc so I know it can be done.

Today gave me a bit of hope - saw the GP who couldn't have been nicer. She said she'd refer me to the RMC and I said I wanted to see a particular doctor (who I know is renowned for success with RMC) and she agreed to refer me to him on the NHS, which means I don't have to pay to go private (we can't afford that). She also said due to my age she'd do it as 'urgent' to try to get me seen ASAP.

So hopefully I can be seen soon and start to look at what's happening. Meanwhile I am going for a scan on Wed which will let me know if the mc is complete (and put my mind at rest that both sacs didn't develop into a baby).

Im so tired. Really tired of ttc and really tired of worrying about all of this. I just want to have a baby. I'm feeling very sorry for myself today! I'll snap back soon, don't worry.

HolyShmoly · 10/07/2017 20:37

Helloo, may I join? I was on another one and then realised this big one is probably a good place to go.

Name: HolyShmoly
Age: 30 DH is 31
DC: None, one hamster though
TTC: Since the first of July. Decided to kick the second half of the year off with a bang.

Now, I know that OPKs, etc aren't allowed. But what about calendar apps?

FuzzyOwl · 11/07/2017 08:11

Thank you choochooo and I'm really pleased your GP was so nice and obliging. I hope the referral comes through quickly for you and the doctor can help. Will be thinking of you on Wednesday and completely understand your tiredness, worry and being sorry for yourself. It's horrible and you have been through loads more back to back than me so are quite justified in feeling that way.

Hello and welcome Holy. I have never found calendar apps to be reliable but they can be good to log symptoms etc.

Elbi · 11/07/2017 19:18

Oh viroids, talk me down. I'm overdue AF, been cramping for days, skittletits to the max and peeing like a racehorse. But I can't test because DH wants to do it together and he's working until the weekend! I mean it'll probably save us money once AF turns up (I'll have jinxed myself by putting up this post) but I'm so impatient!

Choo I'm glad your appointment went as well as it could have - always helps to have a sympathetic doc and great that you managed to get referred to a good consultant too. All gingers crossed for you.

Also hi Holy!

stumblymonkeyagain · 11/07/2017 20:51

Just checking in to say that Corgi has put an update on the grads Fred - baby boy arrived on Friday and all doing well Smile

justtheonethen · 11/07/2017 22:12

Yay for mini corgi Smile

elbi HOOYAH!!!

justtheonethen · 11/07/2017 22:13

Welcome holy, second what fuzzy said. Found them largely pointless without accompanying opks!

BlueSky1980 · 12/07/2017 08:43

Don't do it Elbi! Step away from the tests. I'm about to start my TWOT so in about 14 days I will be doing the exact same thing 🙈
GF for you!

NovaArt3mis · 12/07/2017 17:50

Welcome holy

Now elbi, normally I'd egg you on to poas but seeing as DH asked you to wait, hooya! Not long to wait now.

Poochieblue · 12/07/2017 19:00

Hi viroids, not sure if anyone is still around from my original days here. I kind of disappeared as it wasn't helping my depression when ertd appeared every month. Anyway, I am currently on holibobs in Cuba, which I thought would be fine because after 3 years of JS-ing nothing was happening (albeit with a bit of marital drama in the middle!) so who cares about the ZIKA virus right?! So we flew out on Saturday morning, AF Was due last Monday so mid-packing suitcases and cleaning up for the burglars I was like "hang on a bloody minute here" so I went and pee'd on a stick, mid afternoon and the 2nd bloody line appeared plain as day!! So am now sat in a tropical country being eaten alive my mosquitos, NOT drinking the all-inclusive drinks and being shit scared to eat anything, all the while petrified to go the loo cos I'm still convinced AF will appear and trying to hide all this strange behaviour from my 15 yr old dsd!!

There is no data here, shite wifi, so struggling to look up all my niggles and worries, till I go home!
Is there still a JS-ing Grads post going round? Will I qualify for it having been away from here for 2 years? Lol Confused
Can I loiter here till I get home and manage to convince myself that this is actually happening?? Blush

HolyShmoly · 12/07/2017 19:43

Thanks for the welcome viroids. And no sooner have I joined but I'm asking for advice. Clue indicated that Friday to today was my fertile period. DH and I have been riding like pro jockies since the start of the month apart from yesterday when he went away for work for a couple of days. Of course today is when I get EWCM and pains which I think are ovulation. We haven't dtd since Monday night and he won't be back until late tomorrow.
Does this mean that we've likely missed this month?

It's our first month trying so I told myself that we would be very unlikely to actually conceive this quickly but I'm still disappointed. Although it does look like the last few months I seem to be consistently popping an egg on the 22nd day of my cycle so I've told DH he definitely can't go away that week next month!

HolyShmoly · 12/07/2017 19:44

And congratulations poochie

justtheonethen · 12/07/2017 19:59

This might help holy

Let's get this shaggathon on the road! We are breaking out the buzzy friends, lubeing up our fanjo's and prepping the men! Let's make a baby the old fashioned way! It's only f**king JS'ing 63!
justtheonethen · 12/07/2017 20:00

Basically 5 days before and day of and day after.

justtheonethen · 12/07/2017 20:02

poochie I think I must have been as I joined 3 years ago.
Congratulations! I'd be quite worried about the zika risk. Keep your arms and legs covered and wear insect repellent. The mozzies can bite in the day too.

justtheonethen · 12/07/2017 20:03

And yes join the grads thread Smile
It's in antenatal clubs. JS grads

HolyShmoly · 12/07/2017 20:09

Thanks Just. I'll keep my fingers crossed then!

FuzzyOwl · 12/07/2017 23:10

Hello poochie and congratulations. I was around three years ago as well.

Holy I get my ewcm a few days before ovulation. Hopefully tomorrow evening is all you need. In future I would go by your body rather than any fertility apps. GX

Poochieblue · 13/07/2017 00:34

Hi just and fuzzy yes I remember your names! I have every insect repellent going on, to much use tbh but at least I feel I'm doing as much as I can Confused
Thanks guys, I shall head over there and have a look x

one2three4five · 13/07/2017 01:15

Can I join? I don't want to join, I'm massively fed up and tearful this evening as I've seen another three Facebook birth announcements in the last couple of days, and it's really getting to me now. Plus DS has only got two more days at preschool and I am a mess about that too Sad Sorry- self indulgent whinge. Here are my stats...

Name- one2three4five
Age- 30
DC- 1 DS aged 4 and a half, who is desperate for a sibling.
TTC- Since January 2015. I've had enough. Seeing the doctor in a couple of weeks.

Literally have the most stupid cycles ever, ranging from 28-72 days. What. The. Fuck.

Apologies- feeling really moody this evening!!!

Elbi · 13/07/2017 08:22

Thanks ladies, I have been good and not touched the tests! Spoke to DH last night and he was like 'well you could go ahead and test?' and I was like 'no I want to wait for you to be here!' So clearly there's no pleasing me....

Fab news about corgi Smile

And congrats poochie! Typical timing! Hope you can still enjoy your holiday.

Holy my pals conceived when they thought they'd totally missed the window so worth a go!

And hi one - welcome! Sounds like things have been tough, I'm so sorry. Good news that you're getting it checked by a doc. Hopefully they can shed some light and help things along. Totally get the Facebook thing too - I think I said further back on this thread but just when i was feeling sad and grumpy about everything my ex's new wife announced she was pregnant! I wasn't very good company that day...

Good luck twotting Blue Wink

justtheonethen · 13/07/2017 09:00

Welcome one Smile. Sorry you're so fed up. Hope you get some support from the GP. You want a referral to the fertility clinic and some initial bloods- day 3 (fsh and lh) and progesterone.

poochie you must be bricking it. I know I would be. I would be tempted to sit inside all day to avoid the zika mozzies, but then I probably wouldn't have gone once I found out. We didn't have a honeymoon for that reason.
I would get tested for zika once home- blood to see if your body has attempted to create antibodies and urine to see if the infection is/has been present.
Urine has to be done within 14 days, blood after 21 days.
You don't have to show symptoms to have it.
Hope I'm not telling you something you already know but I think it's important that you know how risky it is.
Advice is to totally cover up, highest deet you can and avoid any stagnant water. Fingers crossed it's all fine.

FuzzyOwl · 13/07/2017 22:34

Welcome one and I hope the doctor can help you.

NovaArt3mis · 14/07/2017 04:53

Hi one, hope you get some answers/progress at the doctors.

I have my scan this morning. Crapping it just a little a lot. I highly recommend not testing at 10dpo. Longest two months of my life.

Elbi · 14/07/2017 07:51

Gx Nova! Hope all goes well.
