Fred rules (copied and adapted from previous Fred)

  1. Thou shalt shag as much as humanly possible in order to get upduffed.
  2. Thou shalt not partake of OPKs, temping, or charting.
  3. Thou shalt keep symptom spotting to a minimum.
  4. Thou shalt share with your fredmates where needed.
  5. Thou shalt not be offended by the word vagina.

JSing lingo
~~~~~~~~~
ERTD = Evil Red Tide of Dooooooommmmmmm. Or AF to most others. Also known as 'the witch', 'bitch witch' and 'that one with the red shiny convertible'
Viroid = This is you, dear poster. This is from the first JS thread when someone tried to type 'ladies' and it autocorrected to 'Viroids' - so there you go!
Pant snot = Egg white cervical mucus.
Doing a Kitten = Getting upduffed soon after joining (warning: may induce envy in other posters).
POAS = Pee On A Stick (of the pregnancy detecting kind, not from a tree). Also known as PIAR (Pee In A Ramekin - cos we're posh birds innit), or PIATLH (Tea light holder), PIAWG (Wine glass) or anything else you care to pee in! PONF = Pee on Nigel Farage (Self explanatory)
ROC = Receptacle of Choice - what one chooses to use for the task of POAS. Optional decorations include photographs of controversial political leaders.
JIAC = Jizz in a Cup. Preferable to jizz on the carpet or jizz in the eye. This one's for the lucky men in our lives.
Jizz in a bra = how we transport the jizz to the Sperm Queen
Shagging like something = JSing like a teenage nymphomaniac.
Giving a hooya = Giving a much needed slap to a fellow poster in danger of slipping into TTC obsession. Warning - this may happen to you if you start trying to POAS at 5dpo. PUT. THE. PISSY. STICK. DOWN. IT'S TOO EARLY!
Contraband (or Cuntraband) = Of COURSE none of us EVER partake of any silly OPKs or temp charting. They are Contraband.
Icing = ovulating. Another autocorrect development!
Getting your Cape on = planning some serious pouncing on DH/DP
SOTM = Shagger of the Month. Awarded with varying regularity to those viroids who go above and beyond EOD shagging in pursuit of that BFP
TWOT - Two Weeks of Torture. AKA Schroedingering!
TWPU - Two Week Piss Up!
Keeping your gingers = fingers crossed, yet another autocorrect development! Shortened to 'gx'
Doing a Lemon = Testing WAAAAAAAY to early!
Miroid - The male compadre of a viroid
Cat - Compulsory
Skittletits - Killer molten painful tits and nipples
Ghost jizz/goat jazz - When the amazing foof sucks up all the jizz - achieved when coming at the same time/nearly the same time.
Haha no, embarrassingly 'love story' came on the radio and I liked that they ended up together and had a little tear. I blame the severe lack of sleep of late - waiting on a consultant appt for nerve pain in my arm...)
Noted - thanks for the tip!
Haven't tried amitriptyline yet - gp won't give me anything as consultant may need me to fee the pain to help diagnose. Work give us private healthcare for anything non-elective so they're paying for me to see a consultant on Wednesday so hopefully he'll be able to give me something to help ease the pain! Sadly fertility/pregnancy related treatments count as elective. I checked Blush
Isn't it awful they are 'elective' Angry. Good you get to see someone quickly.
Hi viroids, I've (well google has) convinced myself I have low progesterone. Waiting on AF's appearance next week before I head off to the GP re lack of bun in oven but until then does anyone have any experience of issues with low progesterone? I read somewhere that Brazil nuts can help improve hormone levels so I've been having 2-3 a day for a a few weeks! Am I going mad? I definitely need help!
Hi everyone. Dipping toe back in. Still feeling pretty battered from this year's offering of 3 mcs (plus 1 CP) and 4 babies gone (1 mc was twins at 7 weeks)
I'm afraid I'm not very good at talking just now but I need somewhere to go to talk to people who understand. People in RL don't know what to say to me and everyone else I'm normally friends with are pregnant.
I've just ovulated so we will see what happens. I have RMC appointment end of September. I see a counsellor every week and fertility clinic acupuncturist every 2 weeks.
How are you all?
PS some may remember me as La, I name changed a while back
Bloody hell choo, keeping everything crossed for you. Life is unbelievably shit sometimes. Flowers
Report
choo hon what to say? My heart goes out to you. I bloody hope that the repeated MCs have been investigated? I have had 2 and that was bad enough - I cannot imagine the pain of having even one more. The reason they gave me is that the most likely reason is an abnormal embryo each time - and this is most down to my age. So I am going to use a donor egg next time - I really hope this gives me a better chance. Have you thought about this?
Hi sorry to have killed the Fred! As you were....
So here's my deets for anyone I don't know:
37, ttc #2 now for 16 months
Have DS, 2, and really wanted a small gap.
3, potentially 4, mcs this year:
Jan CP (not 100% sure as it was blink and miss it)
April mmc at 10 weeks after hb seen at 7 weeks (baby died 7+4)
May mc very early, I think I wasn't ready after the previous one.
July mc at 7 weeks twins gestational sacs with yolks but no poles
Also had mc before conceiving my DS 3 weeks later in 2014. I've been a JSer since 2013 Shock and these shaggers have been my support network ever since, both on here and Facebook. Internet fwends!
Kwick I've been referred to RMC by GP and appointment at end of this month.
I've been taking the following for past month:
Vitamin D 2000iu
CoQ10 200
B complex 100
Pregnancy vits conception
Omega 3 high strength
I've got 75mg aspirin but not started it because it says you have to check with dr first so I was going to wait for my appointment. These are all things I'm expecting to be told to take by the RMC hence starting early.
We've started ttc again in meantime and im currently 5dpo.
I have short LP and long follicular phase. I go to acupuncture fortnightly at a fertility clinic.
Been a bloody rough year, not helped by all of my mates getting pregnant who had babies same time as me. I also suffer from GAD and I do think stress is not helping.
Report
choochooo · 06/09/2017 08:43
If anyone suffers with short LP I'm the gal to call - done tonnes of research into it and I brought mine forward 2 days by taking b complex 100. Other JSers have since followed suit and done tho successfully, creating 4 b complex babies between us!
kwick · 06/09/2017 17:56
choo hope you get some answers with referral - I know it does not help to hear that it is very common. Sounds like you are doing all the right things.
I had my telephone consult with IVI yesterday and am going in on Friday to see Lead Nurse to get options, costs and pathway and any remaining blood tests and then right after having a Dummy Embryo Transfer. Consultant seems to think after Friday things will go quite fast!!!!!!!!
I have had a 6 month break since last MC - dealing with loss and then trying to get BMI down to acceptable level (I did it!!!!!) and now it is going to be go-go-go again!!!
Squidge123456 · 06/09/2017 18:52
Hi choo, was just wondering what you take the vitamin D, CoQ10 and Omega 3 for? I'm presuming the B complex to to lengthen your LP but just wondered about the others...
Squige I take a similar combo - they are all very important for egg quality. You may want to read "It starts with the egg"
Kwick brilliant news both on egg transfer and on your weight!!!
Yup - to do with egg quality. It Starts With the Egg is an interesting read. I'm on a group for women all going through the RMC process and these supplements are recommended.
choo what is RMC? Recurrent MC? I guess I fall in that bucket too. Must remember to ask IVI if they plan on anything special to help avoid another one (apart from using someone elses egg that is).
