Fred rules (copied and adapted from previous Fred)

  1. Thou shalt shag as much as humanly possible in order to get upduffed.
  2. Thou shalt not partake of OPKs, temping, or charting.
  3. Thou shalt keep symptom spotting to a minimum.
  4. Thou shalt share with your fredmates where needed.
  5. Thou shalt not be offended by the word vagina.

JSing lingo

ERTD = Evil Red Tide of Dooooooommmmmmm. Or AF to most others. Also known as 'the witch', 'bitch witch' and 'that one with the red shiny convertible'

Viroid = This is you, dear poster. This is from the first JS thread when someone tried to type 'ladies' and it autocorrected to 'Viroids' - so there you go!

Pant snot = Egg white cervical mucus.

Doing a Kitten = Getting upduffed soon after joining (warning: may induce envy in other posters).

POAS = Pee On A Stick (of the pregnancy detecting kind, not from a tree). Also known as PIAR (Pee In A Ramekin - cos we're posh birds innit), or PIATLH (Tea light holder), PIAWG (Wine glass) or anything else you care to pee in! PONF = Pee on Nigel Farage (Self explanatory)

ROC = Receptacle of Choice - what one chooses to use for the task of POAS. Optional decorations include photographs of controversial political leaders.

JIAC = Jizz in a Cup. Preferable to jizz on the carpet or jizz in the eye. This one's for the lucky men in our lives.

Jizz in a bra = how we transport the jizz to the Sperm Queen

Shagging like something = JSing like a teenage nymphomaniac.

Giving a hooya = Giving a much needed slap to a fellow poster in danger of slipping into TTC obsession. Warning - this may happen to you if you start trying to POAS at 5dpo. PUT. THE. PISSY. STICK. DOWN. IT'S TOO EARLY!

Contraband (or Cuntraband) = Of COURSE none of us EVER partake of any silly OPKs or temp charting. They are Contraband.

Icing = ovulating. Another autocorrect development!

Getting your Cape on = planning some serious pouncing on DH/DP

SOTM = Shagger of the Month. Awarded with varying regularity to those viroids who go above and beyond EOD shagging in pursuit of that BFP

TWOT - Two Weeks of Torture. AKA Schroedingering!
TWPU - Two Week Piss Up!

Keeping your gingers = fingers crossed, yet another autocorrect development! Shortened to 'gx'

Doing a Lemon = Testing WAAAAAAAY to early!

Miroid - The male compadre of a viroid

Cat - Compulsory

Skittletits - Killer molten painful tits and nipples

Ghost jizz/goat jazz - When the amazing foof sucks up all the jizz - achieved when coming at the same time/nearly the same time.

Sofie don't assume the worst just yet!! It's easy to get sucked into that but sometimes doctors are so fucking thoughtless in what they suggest. You might just need something to help you along rather than having a huge problem or ovarian failure. If you find out earlier you have more time to TTC?

TriJo I had no idea jabs do that. I'd be a wreck. Hope your LO perks up soon and it's just a one day thing!

Thanks for reassuring me viroids Flowers Still new to all this so I'm flapping. I guess now I'm in the 2ww-ish?? I feel like we've missed it but I probably shouldn't be so defeatist.

I think because my first pregnancy (mc) was so traumatic I'm finding this TTC thing harder and more stressful than I probably should. Wish the bloody stork was real and I could just mail order one lol.

TriJo · 25/05/2017 07:01

Don't forget sperm can live in the body for a few days, you aren't out just because you missed ovulation day!

AlletrixLeStrange · 25/05/2017 09:12

Anyone got any idea why my cycle length has changed the past 3 months? It was 28 days my entire life then 3 months ago it was 31, last month was 32 and now I'm on 33 with no show and negative HPT.
No change to diet or lifestyle etc..
Been trying well over a year now Sad
(I do have a doctors appointment in a few weeks, just wanted to know you're ideas/experiences)

Viletta · 25/05/2017 12:28

@AlletrixLeStrange tbh it can be anything. My cycle used to be very irregular and now seem to stabilize at 29 days.. no idea why.. longer cycle on its own should be a problem though, I think

Elbi · 26/05/2017 08:56

Good luck with your appointment Alletrix - my cycle did something similar to that last year then just went back to normal. No idea why!

DH's injury (which he tells me is groin, not pelvis...) was feeling a bit better last night so we thought we'd give it a go, then the cat came in and vommed everywhere. Fucksake.

With you on the stork idea Snooze.

AlletrixLeStrange · 26/05/2017 16:55

Thanks guys.
Had some light spotting this afternoon so AF is on the way. Could cry!

Haha Elbi that sounds like the kind of perfectly timed vomming my cats would do, or sometimes they just jump in between us. Cock blocks.

Flumplet · 26/05/2017 17:00

Can I play can I play!! Ttc dc#2 - 2nd month in. Feeling overwhelmed at the mo because I'm very very overweight, well actually very obese but made the decision to go for it anyway as have been putting it off too long and not getting any younger.

Elbi · 26/05/2017 19:50

Does spotting always mean AF for you Alletrix? I've read about it sometimes happening with upduffery.

And hi Flumplet! Come join us :)

TriJo · 26/05/2017 22:32

Welcome Flumplet :)

Flumplet · 27/05/2017 09:55

I shall take this opportunity to introduce myself properly:

Name: Flump
Age: 34 (and nearly a bloody half too!)
Children: 1 beautiful 6yo ds, who is desperate for a sibling, as are we. Been putting it off for too long due to my weight but made the decision to just get on it.
Ttc: 2nd month in, just finished AF so this week is the official week of the shag. My egg is not going to be able to move for spermatozoa. It's going to literally be like swimming in a jizz soup in there.
Cycles: have been random and unpredictable- 32-34 days interspersed with the random 45 and 62 day cycles but have have the past few months settled weirdly In to 28 days for the first time in my life.

AlletrixLeStrange · 27/05/2017 13:25

Elbi it usually (always) does, a day of spotting before AF starts in full force. However, after a little spotting yesterday when I wiped (sorry) I've had nothing at all since. What is my body doing Confused

SofiePendragon · 28/05/2017 09:49

So I think that leaving the pissy sticks at home and going on holiday is definitely the way to go. I took a test yesterday (CD47) and it was only bloody positive! Obviously, now worrying that it won't stick (and that telling you all will jinx it) but today I am pregnant and keeping all my fingers and toes crossed that this one will work out Grin

AlletrixLeStrange · 28/05/2017 17:31

SofiePendragon congratulations! Hope all goes well for you Smile

Viletta · 28/05/2017 18:12

Good luck, @SofiePendragon !!!

ScuttleBugHug · 28/05/2017 18:13

Aw Sophie that's brilliant news! Congratulations Flowers

TriJo · 28/05/2017 19:19

Congratulations Sofie!

Pre Iron Maiden beers here now. Brb reliving lost youth. :)

Flashinthepan · 28/05/2017 19:25

Congrats Sofie great news!

I seem to have iced on CD 11. Really early, last few cycles have been CD 14/15. Got a shag in on CD 7 and 2 on CD 11 so hopefully that did the trick. Super sore boobs and nipples on CD 12 which is very annoying.

NovaArt3mis · 28/05/2017 20:03

Fab news sofie Congratulations!

Have a blast trijo

Hi flump

pretzelpieces · 28/05/2017 22:19

Congratulations sofie!

Elbi · 29/05/2017 00:30

Oh Sofie congrats! And good luck with the jizz soup Flumplet.

I'm in dire need of a hooyah... First go round, only a couple of shags and attempting symptom spotting on CD 18 Hmm

LilSnooze · 29/05/2017 05:35

Sofie I'm so happy for you!! Yaaaaaas!!!

Welcome flump :)

Radio silence from me as the past few days have been acheingly dull. Now 5/6dpo, not really any symptoms besides insomnia and some bloating, but I am very hungry and that's usually a sign of AF for me and she's due Friday :( In other news, almost finished buying all my clothes for our holiday... it's not until August LOL!! Might have gotten a little carried away...

TriJo · 29/05/2017 10:09

6dpo here as well Snooze - no symptoms at all. AF due next Wednesday afaik so probably not much point in testing until we get back from Ireland next Monday.

Viletta · 29/05/2017 18:21

Hi all, I am around 8-9dpo, af due on Saturday. I had a bit of pulling sensations 5 days after ovulation and then it stopped and I had it again yesterday.. promised myself to stop symptom spotting so don't take it all close to heart

emwithme · 29/05/2017 19:12

Firstly, I fucking hate it when threads fall off you're "threads I'm on" thing, and then I couldn't post on the app, and then I forgot because I am a bear of very little brain, but now I'm here.

And I am here to say SHAGGING WORKS and hand me a kitten. Got a BFP this morning. Cycle 2 post MC (we caught cycle 2 last time as well). Due date is a week before my birthday, if all stays sticky and goes well.

SofiePendragon · 29/05/2017 20:11

Congratulations Em!
