Fred rules (copied and adapted from previous Fred)

  1. Thou shalt shag as much as humanly possible in order to get upduffed.
  2. Thou shalt not partake of OPKs, temping, or charting.
  3. Thou shalt keep symptom spotting to a minimum.
  4. Thou shalt share with your fredmates where needed.
  5. Thou shalt not be offended by the word vagina.

JSing lingo

ERTD = Evil Red Tide of Dooooooommmmmmm. Or AF to most others. Also known as 'the witch', 'bitch witch' and 'that one with the red shiny convertible'

Viroid = This is you, dear poster. This is from the first JS thread when someone tried to type 'ladies' and it autocorrected to 'Viroids' - so there you go!

Pant snot = Egg white cervical mucus.

Doing a Kitten = Getting upduffed soon after joining (warning: may induce envy in other posters).

POAS = Pee On A Stick (of the pregnancy detecting kind, not from a tree). Also known as PIAR (Pee In A Ramekin - cos we're posh birds innit), or PIATLH (Tea light holder), PIAWG (Wine glass) or anything else you care to pee in! PONF = Pee on Nigel Farage (Self explanatory)

ROC = Receptacle of Choice - what one chooses to use for the task of POAS. Optional decorations include photographs of controversial political leaders.

JIAC = Jizz in a Cup. Preferable to jizz on the carpet or jizz in the eye. This one's for the lucky men in our lives.

Jizz in a bra = how we transport the jizz to the Sperm Queen

Shagging like something = JSing like a teenage nymphomaniac.

Giving a hooya = Giving a much needed slap to a fellow poster in danger of slipping into TTC obsession. Warning - this may happen to you if you start trying to POAS at 5dpo. PUT. THE. PISSY. STICK. DOWN. IT'S TOO EARLY!

Contraband (or Cuntraband) = Of COURSE none of us EVER partake of any silly OPKs or temp charting. They are Contraband.

Icing = ovulating. Another autocorrect development!

Getting your Cape on = planning some serious pouncing on DH/DP

SOTM = Shagger of the Month. Awarded with varying regularity to those viroids who go above and beyond EOD shagging in pursuit of that BFP

TWOT - Two Weeks of Torture. AKA Schroedingering!
TWPU - Two Week Piss Up!

Keeping your gingers = fingers crossed, yet another autocorrect development! Shortened to 'gx'

Doing a Lemon = Testing WAAAAAAAY to early!

Miroid - The male compadre of a viroid

Cat - Compulsory

Skittletits - Killer molten painful tits and nipples

Ghost jizz/goat jazz - When the amazing foof sucks up all the jizz - achieved when coming at the same time/nearly the same time.

Johnny boo to the witch, but good work on lengthening your lp, massive progress!!

Trijo are you Irish too?? I'm from the North. Lols at the Barry White comment Grin Grin

Elbi ouch to your poor DH, although he is a tad inconsiderate with his timing Wink

Lil if you did ovulate cd12-13 I wouldn't worry at all about it being too early, I often ovulate around that time. Early ovulation is before cd10.

Went out for dinner & a few drinks last night, really enjoyed it at the time, but I'm remembering today why I don't really drink anymore

TriJo · 22/05/2017 13:14

I'm from Dublin angel :)

PNGirl · 22/05/2017 14:25

Ooh hello! I have found my people!

Name: Lucy
Age: 32
DCs: 0!
TTC: since early January so I guess it's month 5!

My cycles swing from 35 to 41 days so I can't be arsed with winking smileys and all that jazz. I don't even really know when my 2ww starts but my next period is due 6th June. Ish.

Elbi · 22/05/2017 22:47

Welcome PNGirl! I felt like that when I found the Fred :)

Sorry to hear it Johnny but good news on the long player LP.

I'm sulking with DH for putting football over pelvic safety/our future children.....

pretzelpieces · 23/05/2017 09:11

Have a good holiday angel! Agree with snooze that being second won't make it any less special, we were second with the grandkids with DD and they love her to bits. I know that doesn't help with the waiting though. Sad

Thanks snooze I had a great weekend away.

sofie I left the pissy sticks at home so I could just relax and have a nice weekend... But I tested when I got back and have done a bloody kitten, haven't I. Hoping it starts a chain of good luck and bfps for y'all. Pic attached.

Oh elbi that's shitty timing. How selfish of him! Wink

Happy shagging, trijo!

Ooh johnny, it's sooo long! Your luteal phase that is Wink glad the b complex is working!

Welcome PNGirl! As pud put it perfectly, "may your time here be short and filthy".

Let's get this shaggathon on the road! We are breaking out the buzzy friends, lubeing up our fanjo's and prepping the men! Let's make a baby the old fashioned way! It's only f**king JS'ing 63!
TriJo · 23/05/2017 09:40

Congratulations pretzel :)

We've managed to hit O-3, O-2 and O-1 so far, I'm icing today on CD16 and today is our 2nd wedding anniversary... Wine

NovaArt3mis · 23/05/2017 12:00

Hi pngirl

Congrats pretzel Grin

Is that 3 or 4 bfp's now? It's making me a tad anxious, last time we had a flurry of them not many got out unscathed. No, I've got to be positive! I sincerely hope they're all the stickiest of beans.

Sounds like a fab effort tri, that'd be lovely timing!

honeysucklejasmine · 23/05/2017 12:11

angelazul my sil got accidentally pregnant the month after I miscarried what would have been the first grandchild. I didn't get pregnant again until the month the baby was born. It tore me up inside, I will admit. It was only made easier when I got pregnant with my daughter.

angelazul · 23/05/2017 12:54

Congratulations pretzel Star

Good work tri & happy anniversary. Friday is our 3rd anniversary, we'll be on hols, and I'm due to ice by the end of the week ....

We have 9 nieces & nephews between us, so our child was never going to be the 1st grandchild & I'm totally fine with that. It's the reminder that we can't seem to do what so many others around us seems to manage that kinda gets me. This particular sil got pg 1st month of trying & announced it a few days after we had just found out that dh has sperm issues & we in all likelihood will need icsi. Not her fault at all, just a bit of shitty time for us. I am really and truly happy for them, but just very sad for us.

pretzelpieces · 23/05/2017 15:17

angel Flowers that is crappy, I'm sorry.

Elbi · 23/05/2017 20:51

Oh pretzel congrats!

angel so sorry, that's shite Flowers gx things start looking up.

LilSnooze · 24/05/2017 01:52

pretzel congrats!! So happy for you :D

Decided I plain wasn't ovulating so been super relaxed with shagging OH. Gave him two (YES TWO!!) bj's today, went to the bathroom and ONLY FUCKING PANT SNOT EVERYWHERE???! Unbelievably stringy and fucking everywhere. I hate my body. Why ovulate now??! Now we can't shag until he's home from work tomorrow evening so might have missed it.

Curses.

Is it bad I'm actually insanely pissed about it?? LOL I feel like I'm being a baby but ffs why ovulate so late Angry

TriJo · 24/05/2017 09:33

In fairness Lil I'd be pissed off too! Feels like a kick in the face when the body goes into troll mode!

At home with DS today, he had the MenB jab last night because they were out of stock last time and he had a high fever this morning in spite of Calpol.

Elbi · 24/05/2017 09:59

Argh Snooze that is monumentally frustrating. Can totally understand you being pissed off. Try tonight anyway?

Elbi · 24/05/2017 10:02

Sorry to hear it TriJo I know nothing about jabs and kids' fevers but hope he feels better.

ScuttleBugHug · 24/05/2017 12:51

Pretzel, congratulations! You really have done a kitten!
*
Angel*, I'm really sorry you're having a crap time Flowers

Elbi what a totally random injury at such an unfortunate time! Hope he recovers quickly!

Snooze still worth giving it a go tonight as Elbi said?

TriJo hope your lo feels better soon, jabs are so stressful!

Good news is I spoke to my specialist and he was lovely, thinks the pain I'm having is normal scar tissue pain. I also spoke to my GP to discuss my blood results in detail as I told her I was terrified of having another infection and premature birth, she was also lovely, reassured me that all results were well within the normal range, including those for infection, and said after what happened with DS I'd be classed as high risk and so would be constantly monitored by the Midwife's and be consultant led. So I'm feeling pretty confident now just to go for it with the JSing! Wink

AF arrived the earliest it ever has on Monday (24 days, usually I'm 31 days). It does make sense as I had cramps and ewcm a week earlier than normal this month so think I iced randomly early, has this happened to any of you viroids before?!

ScuttleBugHug · 24/05/2017 12:52

I have no idea what happened with the bold type! Another MN fail!

ScuttleBugHug · 24/05/2017 13:03

Oh and hi to the new viroids!Smile

LilSnooze · 24/05/2017 18:38

TriJo I'm probably an over reactor but I'd be so worried! Do jabs usually cause fevers etc in kids? I don't know much about it.

Scuttle I'm so happy for you!! That's great news after you were so stressed about it. It must be really reassuring that they take your situation so seriously too and will be checking on you regularly! I've ovulated at all random times before, my cycles vary by 4-5 days each way sometimes but my doctor wasn't concerned and said various environmental factors can affect it and as long as your cycles are generally regular you're not classed as "irregular". Keep an eye on it though!

We shagged tonight when OH got home from work so heathen womb is satisfied. Still so annoyed though. Who ovulates on CD 19??? Wtf are you doing body?? We js'd on 21st, 22nd and today, so would we have caught it if it was today/yesterday? I'm still new to figuring out this whole ovulation thing.

FloofyFloo · 24/05/2017 20:50

Hi there, I've been lurking for a couple of days, and js-ing for 15 months nowSad
I've been mostly eod for that time, in the hope I catch an egg in my ridiculously long cycles...

Anyway, I'm beginning too get a bit bored - last night I was NOT interested. How do you cope with that bit. I am not an did kinda girl at heart!!!

SofiePendragon · 24/05/2017 21:42

Hi floofy! Welcome to the thread. How long are your cycles?

Tri hope your DS feels better soon.

Good news Scuttle!

Congratulations Pretzel!

Snooze I'm sure missing one day won't effect your chances too much. It says in the "it starts with an egg" book that you have a similar chance if you shag on the day before or the day of icing. I'd keep up the shagging for a few more days if you can though - I don't think you necessarily ice on the same day as you get pant snot.

CD44 here. All tests have been Bfn and I don't think im upduffed. Should probably make a GP appointment, but last time I went (before my CP), they started talking about premature ovarian failure and that I might need HRT and I'm currently preferring to bury my head in the sand.

pretzelpieces · 24/05/2017 21:50

Thanks everyone

snooze that should be fine, I reckon you've shagged close enough to be in with a chance.

scuttle sorry for the witch, results sound positive though.

sofie get thee to the docs Flowers

FloofyFloo · 24/05/2017 22:28

Hi Sofie, my cycles are between 40 days (shortest ever so far) and 9 months (I could have had a baby in that time!) So completely ridiculous!

When I went to doc initially they tested for premature ovarian failure - it was a stupid middle aged man doctor who hadn't thought through the impact his words might have and I spent a month in utter panic.
Ovaries fine (ish - they're poly cystic but not failing failing) and I have made sure to see only female doctor's from then on. They've been a lot less dramatic!!
Gx for bfp instead though!

TriJo · 24/05/2017 23:45

Snooze They don't always cause a reaction, but the age 1 set has been dreadfully tough on my son. He had the measles reaction to the MMR a few weeks ago and he popped a high fever last night after the MenB 3rd jab. He is prone to fevers though.

TriJo · 24/05/2017 23:47

Missed the O+1 shag tonight but got the last 4 days. Into the TWOT we go...
