Fred rules (copied and adapted from previous Fred)

  1. Thou shalt shag as much as humanly possible in order to get upduffed.
  2. Thou shalt not partake of OPKs, temping, or charting.
  3. Thou shalt keep symptom spotting to a minimum.
  4. Thou shalt share with your fredmates where needed.
  5. Thou shalt not be offended by the word vagina.

JSing lingo

ERTD = Evil Red Tide of Dooooooommmmmmm. Or AF to most others. Also known as 'the witch', 'bitch witch' and 'that one with the red shiny convertible'

Viroid = This is you, dear poster. This is from the first JS thread when someone tried to type 'ladies' and it autocorrected to 'Viroids' - so there you go!

Pant snot = Egg white cervical mucus.

Doing a Kitten = Getting upduffed soon after joining (warning: may induce envy in other posters).

POAS = Pee On A Stick (of the pregnancy detecting kind, not from a tree). Also known as PIAR (Pee In A Ramekin - cos we're posh birds innit), or PIATLH (Tea light holder), PIAWG (Wine glass) or anything else you care to pee in! PONF = Pee on Nigel Farage (Self explanatory)

ROC = Receptacle of Choice - what one chooses to use for the task of POAS. Optional decorations include photographs of controversial political leaders.

JIAC = Jizz in a Cup. Preferable to jizz on the carpet or jizz in the eye. This one's for the lucky men in our lives.

Jizz in a bra = how we transport the jizz to the Sperm Queen

Shagging like something = JSing like a teenage nymphomaniac.

Giving a hooya = Giving a much needed slap to a fellow poster in danger of slipping into TTC obsession. Warning - this may happen to you if you start trying to POAS at 5dpo. PUT. THE. PISSY. STICK. DOWN. IT'S TOO EARLY!

Contraband (or Cuntraband) = Of COURSE none of us EVER partake of any silly OPKs or temp charting. They are Contraband.

Icing = ovulating. Another autocorrect development!

Getting your Cape on = planning some serious pouncing on DH/DP

SOTM = Shagger of the Month. Awarded with varying regularity to those viroids who go above and beyond EOD shagging in pursuit of that BFP

TWOT - Two Weeks of Torture. AKA Schroedingering!
TWPU - Two Week Piss Up!

Keeping your gingers = fingers crossed, yet another autocorrect development! Shortened to 'gx'

Doing a Lemon = Testing WAAAAAAAY to early!

Miroid - The male compadre of a viroid

Cat - Compulsory

Skittletits - Killer molten painful tits and nipples

Ghost jizz/goat jazz - When the amazing foof sucks up all the jizz - achieved when coming at the same time/nearly the same time.

Congrats em! I'm also newly upduffed 2nd cycle post mmc (altho the first bfp took almost 2 years!)

Gx for lots of sticky beans.

Name: Purple
Age: 43 how the fuck did that happen
DC: MC July 2014
DS aged 20 months
TTC since: ummm this month

Hi everyone, lovely to see familiar faces and new ones too.

I've been putting off TTC no2 since Christmas. MH hasn't been great and anxiety seems to rule my life.
DH has made the whole decision to have another in my hands. He's happy with DS but would be equally happy with another. I have been on and off the idea too but at my age, I don't have the luxury of time

Went on holiday last week, took condoms as we weren't going to try, then got pissed and it seemed like a good idea to go bareback.
Now TWOTTing and bricking it...sensible head says to wait a few months but age is a factor.

We were going to wait as we're starting major building work next week and will have to move in with parents for a while. I thought that toddler+pregnancy+work+builders+living with parents was too much to deal with, especially if I'm knackered for 3 months again.
I'm the queen of overthinking and I'm definitely at it again!

So we'll probably invoke the law of sod and do a kitten but I'd be happy if it happens this year

Christ that was long, well done if you got to the end Grin

purpleporpoise · 30/05/2017 02:09

Oooh and congrats to all the BFPs, there's a few kittens around!

Flashinthepan · 30/05/2017 11:41

Lovely to see a spate of bfps, congrats Em and Nova. I'm 4dpo with skittletits, but grateful the spotting seems to have stopped!

Today I want to wee a lot, if I was symptom spotting, this would excite me, but really I know it's because I've had two cups of tea and half a pint of water in two hours.

Refilona · 30/05/2017 12:30

Oooh hello ladies viroids.

I'm Refilona.

TTC #1

Cycle 5

Starting to go crazy with this ttc malarkey. Cheapies BFN 2 days ago. Waiting for missed AF to test again. Think I can feel period pain coming though... Angry

Viletta · 30/05/2017 13:18

@emwithme and @NovaArt3mis congrats! Good luck!

Viletta · 30/05/2017 13:19

@Refilona welcome!

I had bfn today on 10dpo. When is your af due?

Refilona · 30/05/2017 13:36

@Viletta Friday. TTC is one of the most stressful experiences of my life so far. Received results from a smear December 2015 saying I had CIN3 cells. Had them removed and had another smear which came back as inadequate so had to repeat it after 6 months. All clear took a year in total (and I'm very grateful I'm okay) so started trying this January. I know it hasn't been long and I'm probably being unreasonable but it feels like I've been waiting for a year and a half now, and it has been a very stressful year and a half.
Got some frer tests arriving tomorrow, will try and use them monthly and not more often!

Viletta · 30/05/2017 14:38

@Refilona it is indeed a very stressful experience... I do understand you! they say stress decreases the chances, so need to stay calm.. but how can we?
I got abnormal Pap test in 2015 as well.. I had p16/ki67 onco proteins and HPV16.. some doctors recommended to remove abnormal cells, others to retest. This was in a private medical center abroad where I was at the moment. I retested with nhs last year, test came back normal.. they suggested to re-check in a year.. however now they said it's not a priority as they started fertility tests.

I find doing yoga and having another project going is helpful. 5 months is not a long time, it will all be alright one way or another and you will have a bfp! Need to be patient! Feel free to write your thoughts here, it might help as well! Good luck!

Elbi · 30/05/2017 15:41

Hi newbies and congrats bfps!

Refilona that does sound like a stressful process, I'm glad you're ok. I haven't had abnormal cells but have been through the mill to get my endometriosis at a stage where we can start trying so I can relate to it feeling like waiting a long time even though we've officially only just started!

I'm 4dpo (I think) now, so fully twotting.

Refilona · 30/05/2017 16:03

Thank you so much for your words, I really appreciate it.

@Viletta I'm glad the bad cells have gone and you had a normal smear - sometimes i think things just solve themselves. I'm sure the changes were very minor if they told you to retest only and didn't do a colposcopy. Fingers crossed for you!

@Elbi I hope that you get your BFP soon. Don't become POASaholic like me, it's torture!

My goal is to calm down and stop thinking about it constantly, it's half term now so I should be relaxing and having fun, not POAS everyday! Hmm

Viletta · 30/05/2017 16:57

When it's too early to test, I pick tarot cards:)prediction chances are just as accurate 😂 got loads of good pregnancy cards this month 😂

Refilona · 30/05/2017 19:11

@viletta that's hilarious! Grin

TriJo · 31/05/2017 13:11

8dpo... Absolutely exhausted though that could be due to travelling and baby wrangling! I nearly fell asleep during the Imelda May gig last night Shock

Refilona · 31/05/2017 13:23

@trijo good luck!

LilSnooze · 31/05/2017 20:53

Nackered too TriJo. I take anti-depressants and a mood stabiliser that I'll have to be weaned off of before 3 months so doctor has advised me to try and get a + test ASAP for baby's sake... POAS today (7/8dpo) in the fucking evening because I'm a genius and BFN so of course I cried.

I am an idiot. Do we have an idiot award? Or at least some form of headwear?

LilSnooze · 31/05/2017 20:53

Also I have a job interview tomorrow and I'm shitting my pants because I really need this job oh my god why is life so stressful :D :D :D

SofiePendragon · 31/05/2017 21:46

Good luck for tomorrow Snooze!

Refilona · 31/05/2017 21:49

Good luck tomorrow @Lilsnooze and hopefully we'll get our BFPs soon! Flowers

Viletta · 31/05/2017 22:00

Hi ladies,

Have you heard/tried pre seed lubricants? Amazon has great reviews..

pretzelpieces · 31/05/2017 23:04

I used conceive plus viletta and thought it was good.

Elbi · 31/05/2017 23:49

Oh good luck Snooze - will take your mind off TTC at least!

I'm having a fret because my pilates class was fairly full on tonight and I'm worrying I might have 'dislodged' (is that even a thing?) or troubled whatever tiny bean may or may not be present at 5/6dpo...

NovaArt3mis · 01/06/2017 05:06

Good luck tomorrow snooze

I bought conceive plus at the beginning of ttc viletta. Funnily enough the two cycles I actually fell pg I didn't use any, but as I lubricant in general I liked it.

NovaArt3mis · 01/06/2017 05:08

Today! snooze Grin

TriJo · 01/06/2017 08:14

Best of luck snooze :)

viletta We used Conceive Plus when we were TTC DS but haven't tried it yet this time. It's not bad but I have vague recollections of it drying up quite quickly.
