Does anyone else use there heart rate monitor on there Fitbit to monitor when they have ovulated? Saw a post on here recently where someone was but can't find it now. Been reading up on it thought it would be interesting to see how many of you guys did?

I was in the original chat! Am sitting here with my little girl sleeping on my lap! She was born in January!

Congratulations @SpongeBobGrannyPants & @CRZ1988 for your bfps!

twincessesmummy · 15/04/2018 22:07

I started this thread, crazy! I'm laid in bed looking at my 3.5 month old twin girls sleeping! Being obsessed with my HR Chart feels like a lifetime ago. Good luck to you all still trying, and congrats to the rest :) x

SpongeBobGrannyPants · 16/04/2018 22:37

Oh wow, you had twins!! Congratulations on your Fitbit babies! @twincessesmummy and @ndo4000

Sorry to hear that Juney! Hope it happens for you soon x

Tentativesteps133 · 19/04/2018 02:07

I was also in the original chat. Awake feeding my 4 month old at the moment. Don’t wear my Fitbit anymore as don’t want to see how little sleep I’m clocking lol!

dulwichdays · 19/04/2018 06:50

Congratulations everyone! I’ve been trying to read back through the thread to see what the general theme was with the resting heart rate chart but struggling to get a clear answer. Mine seems to be lowest at AF, rising through to ovulation with a slight dip afterwards and then rising prior to expected AF again?! Does that sound about right?

ndo4000 · 19/04/2018 08:06

@dulwichdays yes, I think that was the general trend. HR would rise after ovulation until just before AF and then plummet. If pg, then it would go on rising b4 staying high during pregnancy.

Interestingly, after my LO arrived the next day my HR bottomed out at about 45bpm! It took a couple of weeks for it to get back to normal. Weird!

twincessesmummy · 19/04/2018 20:02

That's what I remember ndo! Although it's all a bit fuzzy now!
Mine has also dropped right down again, used to get so high when I was pregnant with the twins! I still wear my Fitbit I like seeing how much sleep I get lol! The girls are sleeping well at the moment (touch Wood) I got 9 hours last night hooray!!

ndo4000 · 19/04/2018 21:38

Omg @twincessesmummy !!! 9 hours?!?!? I get about 5 hours!!!

Tonight was a breakthrough - I actually put her to bed at bedtime! I've spent every evening before this carrying her around in a sling!!! Grin

twincessesmummy · 20/04/2018 21:24

Yeah since about 13 weeks old they've been great at night, I pray it lasts because a good night sleep is the only thing that get me through the days 😂 xx

SpongeBobGrannyPants · 22/04/2018 13:13

@dulwichdays Mine rose slightly before ovulation too, then continued to rise for a couple of days after, dipped a little and then climbed and climbed (the odd up/down fluctuation but the general trend was up). I'm still not sure it's that accurate as a way of telling you're pregnant if you're in the tww as I think a lot of woman have their heartrate stay up until the day of AF anyway, but certainly if you had no idea and then thought, "hey I've missed my period" and then looked at your heart-rate data, you'd possibly know then something was up before taking a test. What I didn't get was a sharp implantation spike like some get, it was a more gradual drop of around 2bpm and then a rise again over a few days.

I'm 3 weeks past ovulation now and my heartrate has increased a lot in the past week (as has my time spent in the fat burning zone which is another clue!).

SpongeBobGrannyPants · 22/04/2018 13:16

Sorry meant to add that the below was in the cycle I got my Bfp. The cycle before my RHR started to drop day 1 of AF and then hit its lowest point a few days into AF. That seems to be a common trend. Then it gradually works it's way back up in the second half of your cycle.

SunshineAndRainbows6 · 24/04/2018 14:01

Hey all,

CONGRATULATIONS to all the original posters who have had there babies and sending lots of bubba dust to those still waiting to get there 🌈 ! 👶🏻

I know this is quite an old post but I have been reading it with interest! Have only recently been tracking my cycle using my Fitbit but I have approximately 30ish day cycles. And my chart seems all over the place compared to last months 😩 can anyone make sense of it please? I have 3 apps which each tell me I ovulated at different times which isn't very helpful 🤦🏻‍♀️🙈😂

Still rising but still a BFN!!! Think I'm 12DPO.... AF due yesterday/Today! I have cramps but still no signs.... TMI but lots of creamy discharge!

Any thoughts ladies? I'm going insane 😭🤦🏻‍♀️😂 xx

Chart still looks good! Maybe retest in a couple of days if AF hasn't appeared? Are you definitely sure when ovulation happened?

SunshineAndRainbows6 · 04/05/2018 12:59

Thank you for the reply @ndo4000!

And if I'm honest I don't know! Had such bad cramps like a week ago but thought AF might come early but it never showed! Can you make out when I did on the chart? Still super new to this 😂🤦🏻‍♀️ X

ndo4000 · 04/05/2018 13:13

Would ov have been at the lowest bpm on your chart?

SunshineAndRainbows6 · 04/05/2018 13:24

Ok so looking back at the days and my cycle apps.... I finished AF on the 6th which is the first drop.... then my 3 apps said I either ovulated on the 19th, 20th or 22nd.... the next dip is the 19th... then the final dip is the 24th.... before rose until now? 🤔🤦🏻‍♀️😂

I'm sorry it's all sooooo bloody confusing! Haha!

HidCat · 04/05/2018 19:31

Hi everyone, I'm just coming off the back of a miscarriage and can confirm that my Fitbit registered my resting heart rate higher through the pregnancy. It was the reason I tested! RHR went up about 8 bpm and stayed there until the miscarriage. Came back down to normal levels quickly afterwards. It's definitely not a myth.

@SunshineAndRainbows6 your chart looks promising!

SunshineAndRainbows6 · 04/05/2018 20:09

I'm so sorry for you loss Hun @Hidcat 😘 sending air ((((Hugs))))

And thank you I'll keep you all posted just so confusing all of it 😂🤦🏻‍♀️
