Hi ladies. Haven't posted much but still hanging around. Have taken B50 this cycle which has stopped spotting until 12 dpo, was really hoping this was my month, tested like a crazy person but 13 dpo today and spotting has amped up along with lots of cramps so expecting full on af in the next few days. On to cycle 4 and a full year after my last bfp. Sorry for everyone with bfns today.

halloumisandwich · 21/03/2017 18:38

I think i'm out this month too.. had a small amount of spotting and getting cramps now that make me think af is on her way... Oh well, fresh start and at least it draws a line under the MC in a way.
I was also hoping to avoid a christmas baby mulder but I'll take what i'm given if it pans out next month!

WLMcI · 21/03/2017 20:25

Mulder and halloumi and any others worrying, I'm (nearly) a Christmas baby and it's not a problem! I mean, it sucks when you're a kid because none of your friends can come to your birthday party, but we never had birthday parties with friends anyway (we couldn't afford it--and that's something I understood from very young). My relatives were always good about giving me separate gifts, coming over for the cake and presents on my actual birthday even though they would see us 3 days later on Christmas morning, etc. I think my parents may have intimidated them about this lol! Grin

One funny story though; my great grandma's birthday was Christmas Eve. She was a lovely, quiet-mannered lady with a good head on her shoulders and a good sense of humour. Then she got dementia and started using a wee bit of, er, off-colour language. The Christmas decorations went up in the dementia ward of the fold, and when we went to visit her she was like "Everyone keeps talking about Christmas! It's NOT Christmas, it's my GOD-DAMN BIRTHDAY!" Grin

halloumisandwich · 22/03/2017 07:01

Thanks WLM I know you'ryou're right, my step dad, sister and niece are all late December babies and it's nice having everyone in a good mood and decorations up for their birthdays! Sweet story about your gran though! How are you getting on, has af turned up yet?
DH has just left for his driving test... this is his fifth stab at it so fingers crossed... although it took me six goes so he's still got a good chance of beating me!

Miami81 · 22/03/2017 07:16

So af is definitely here. Massive cramps, stabby pains in my back and now literally flooding. Does anyone else have this now?? I used to have a day of buildup if that makes sense, small bit of bleeding. But since mc's it goes from 0-60 in a matter of minutes. It is very heavy. Think I may have to work from home today. I find myself maybe a little traumatised when it comes to periods now. Don't trust my body anymore and get very paranoid about being out and about.........

WLMcI · 22/03/2017 07:27

halloumi I'm still waiting; despite some mild cramping on and off there's no sign of the dreaded mega period post-mc. Sigh, I have to stand all day at work and my next day off is Tuesday, so I hope it's not as bad as all that when it does eventually arrive!

Miami81 · 22/03/2017 07:33

Sorry wlm. Hope the day goes as well as it can for you. My first period post mc wasn't that heavy. I think it just all depends.
Make sure you have painkillers just in case. Cake and cake.

AnneLovesGilbert · 22/03/2017 09:16

Sorry about af Miami Flowers

My first day is always the worst and then it gradually gets lighter and less painful. Have you got decent pills?

I take mefanamic acid for the pain which is a literal life changer. Before I was on it I'd spend hours crying walking up and down the stairs or rocking backwards and forwards in the bath. I don't need it now but when they were super heavy I took tranexamic acid which helped. There was a thread the other day about someone on that and a few people had had success with it.

Work from home and try and have a cosy day. Frasier is on Channel 4 if that helps! I'm working from home waiting for the NPower man.

I think I ovulated 2 days ago, loads of ewcm and the usual stabbing. But was much earlier than normal, hmmm.

I've stuck to my resolution to avoid the app. Not sure why it's made a difference to my general state of mind not using but it has.

Also booked a holiday last night so something nice to look forward to whether I catch before then or not.

AnneLovesGilbert · 22/03/2017 09:18

My first one post mc wasn't worse than normal either WLM so I hope you'll be okay. It's such a blessed relief when it comes, in a weird way. After the shitty awful weeks of my MMC, at least when af arrived I felt like things were getting back to normal. Second the Cake It's a fresh start when it's over.

We have to look after ourselves x

keeponrunning85 · 22/03/2017 16:59

Sorry about AF Miami. CakeWine

Can someone please make it be Saturday so I can pee on a bloody stick? Is it me or does time literally seem to stand still sometimes in the TWW? No sign of my usual pre-AF spotting yet but I'm desperately trying (and failing) to let myself get hopeful.

keeponrunning85 · 22/03/2017 16:59

NOT let myself get hopeful that should say.

BertieBotts · 22/03/2017 21:58

I want to peeee! I think it's too early though :( I might have to have an operation tomorrow so I want to know.

I've had a temp dip at 7dpo and some interesting looking spotting today at 9dpo which could be implantation. I think 10dpo will be too early to see anything. Gahh!

Thanks for the reassurances re christmas babies guys- another positive would be that they will be old in their year so here's to lots of winter babies!!

I came on my 2nd period post mc this evening. It is all brown stringy stuff, i have filled one pad then had a bath/bed so it's stopped now. Has anyone else had this? First period after mc was lovely and red so am now stressing about why it's brown and clots!!!

BertieBotts · 23/03/2017 08:41

Symptom spotting like crazy here, I've got stretching feelings in the abdomen and really sensitive boobs. Tired too but can't tell if that's from the pain/bad sleep from my injured finger or not.

I will wait until Monday. I will!

keeponrunning85 · 23/03/2017 08:51

Me too Bertie. Have you managed to hold off testing? I have so far. Hope your op goes ok today.

BertieBotts · 23/03/2017 08:59

Yes, I don't have any tests at home and I'm trying not to go to any shops until I've been paid.

AnneLovesGilbert · 23/03/2017 09:15

Be strong bertie! If you're pregnant, you'll be even more pregnant by Monday Smile It's awful getting a bfn and then 2 days later a bfp! Happened to me twice and I always chastise myself!

Sorry Mulder, sucks. I think for the first couple of cycles post mc anything goes. I did read something about the first af being fresher blood because whether natural or surgical a mc sort of clears everything out. So it may be that the brown blood is just older as it's been there since last af. Could that make sense?

How's everyone?

LisaSimpsonsbff · 23/03/2017 11:35

Sorry about AF, Mulder.

Still waiting for ovulation here. I'm away for a couple of nights from Tuesday, so would really like if it could happen before then...

BertieBotts · 23/03/2017 11:47

Yep, thinking I might just avoid the bad stuff just in case... though already failed this morning with two double strength coffees, oops! I'll be good starting tomorrow Shock

Hello ladies, have been off for a few days as AF arrived and I just needed to go and have a sulk! Catching up with all your posts though and crossing fingers for those of you waiting to test, sending commiserations to those of you grimacing your way through AF. I'm now hoping that I'm not getting pregnant because God / fate / chance / Sod's law / whatever you wish to insert here has decided that it won't happen until we're in our new house. It's funny the things you convince yourself of for comfort!

BertieBotts · 23/03/2017 12:43

Defo!! I think ours has been waiting for DH's promotion.

OP posts:
AnneLovesGilbert · 23/03/2017 12:44

Hey peach, sorry you've been having a tough time Flowers

I think what you say makes sense, and hell, anything that helps! I'm telling myself that I don't want to be pregnant when we go away on holiday...

keeponrunning85 · 23/03/2017 12:57

Sorry to all of those who've been got by AF. Flowers

Ha ha Bertie! Get yourself some decaf! I'm only going to test on Saturday because we're going to a housewarming and I want to know if I'm safe to have a drink. Otherwise I think I'd try and wait until Monday. Although I'm already driving myself bonkers! Boobs feel 100% normal, although they often feel tingly before AF. Keep getting stretchy sensations in my uterus region. Can't decide if it is potentially the start of AF cramps of because I'm so blooming obsessed with my nether regions right now that I'm just imagining things. Still none of my pre-AF spotting.

DH keeps asking if I'm alright. Don't want to say anything to get his hopes up in case the witch makes her inevitable appearance.

ARGH! You'd think I'd be a bit better at the TWW considering how much experience I've got.

MulderitsmeX · 23/03/2017 13:09

Thanks all, it's more red today so feeling positive.

Flowers for everyone else who AF got, at least our next fertile periods are close.

Btw if anyone is interested I went to Adrian Lower last week (convinced myself I had ashermans!!) He will do the ashermans scan during the appointment so would recommend if anyone else is needing peace off mind. He was very quick with me but that could be as I came to him with no symptoms except my intuition - doh!

keep stretching is good, sending baby energy your way.

anne where are you going? Book something like water skiing and sod's law you'll be preggers! Always happens that way, I'm going to NYC in June AND LOVE the nightclubs put there so am thinking sod's law will get me too!!

Some good news - a friend has just had DS1 after multiple miscarriages and serious physical / chromosomal problems so there will be light at the end of the tunnel for us all!

halloumisandwich · 23/03/2017 13:22

Sorry to all suffering through AF, bring on the Christmas babies for us all! Mine has come properly now after 3 days of odd spotting here and there so I'm just grateful to get it out the way now! Our new carpets have been fitted today so I'm working at home and walking up and down the stairs every half hour or so to admire them Smile. So at least that's taking my mind off things for now. Fingers crossed for you keep and bertie...I feel like we're due some good news here.
