I honestly can't believe it, I did a test this morning because my boobs were hurting and it was positive, I don't want to get my hopes up, I've no idea where I am in my cycle or when ovd was but I think I'm equally excited and worried.
Thanks for all your support over the last few weeks ladies it has meant so much to me.
Congratulations to all those with positive results and keeping everything crossed for those waiting. What a roller coaster!

AnneLovesGilbert · 25/04/2017 09:33

Glad things are settling Miami, and how exciting WLM!

Have you had one blood test Miami or two? You should be able to get the result of each, and they'll be interested in the increase by the second one. My results came through really quickly, same day. FX all is nicely growing and on track x

I know the massive WTF feeling halloumi, gutting. Try not to test tomorrow and aim for every two days?

peachgreen · 25/04/2017 09:49

@ctilbrook Congratulations! Wonderful news. So many BFPs this month! FX it keeps happening for the rest of us too!

@Miami Will be thinking of you, let us know how it goes when you get the results. I got mine same day too I think.

AnneLovesGilbert · 25/04/2017 09:54

Holy mother ctilbrook, what an amazing update! Congratulations! x

hometownunicorn · 25/04/2017 10:01

Congrats @ctilbrook32! So many BFPs this month. I hope there's more to come Smile

halloumisandwich · 25/04/2017 10:13

Glad to hear there's less blood for you Miami, fingers crossed you get some good news tomorrow and they don't keep you waiting!
Congratulations ctilbrook... we seem to be on a bit of a roll at the moment ladies, keep shagging and keep them coming!

Thanks for the sympathy... I'd just like AF to come along now. As I've not had positives on OPKs the past couple of months either and last month's period was more like 5 days of spotting, I'm now starting to get paranoid there's something wrong with me and the mc has stopped me from ovulating ever again. I'm being crazy right? I wish there was some way of knowing what the hell was going on in there!

Doublechocolatetiffin · 25/04/2017 11:06

Wow congrats ctilbrook that's fantastic news. Congratulations.

Miami glad to hear it's settling down, fingers crossed for some good news tomorrow.

Halloumi sorry you're still in limbo, would it be worth a trip to the GP if your cycles are different to pre mc?

I'm trying very hard not to test until at least tomorrow (which would be 2 weeks since I noticed ewcm and 4 weeks since my ERPC). I'm dying to test though, my boobs are sore, I'm sure I don't normally get sore boobs with my period. I feel like both times I've been pregnant before, but then part of me doesn't want to test in case it's negative. I know it's really unlikely I'll be pg so soon after my mc but I can't help but feel a little hopeful.

www.theguardian.com/lifeandstyle/2017/apr/24/is-running-best-exercise-reduce-risk-heart-disease?CMP=fb_gu

You can drink, smoke, be overweight and still reduce your risk of dying early by running – by between 25% and 40%.

If I can manage to restrain my massive sore boobs I'll be out again later Grin

yellowfrontdoor · 25/04/2017 13:41

Woo! Congrats ctilbrooks! X

ctilbrook32 · 25/04/2017 14:13

Thank you all so much, going to go to a mindful yoga class tonight, try to learn how to calm my mind and body as best I can, trying to stay positive and believe all will be ok this time. Keeping everything crossed for everyone xxx

Ekphrasis · 25/04/2017 14:47

Hello, I've been absent for a while.

I'm so sorry to hear of recent losses. That's so tough. I hope you're ok and feel better soon.

I hope you are ok miami and it's not ectopic?

Congratulations on the new bpfs! I do hope they stick.

It's 19 days post miscarriage for me. Spotting seems to have finally stopped but I'm wee-img for England. Is this normal? I was still getting strong lines a couple of days ago, I thought I'd test again at the weekend. Could the weeimg still be the effects of preg hormones?

WLMcI · 25/04/2017 15:00

ctilbrook that's wonderful news, congratulations!

Booking appointment was grand, just BP and urine and planning for the 12 week scan; I have the same midwife as before. yellow I think I was actually more nervous before, simply because as soon as I became pregnant I was confronted with a raft of things I didn't know--don't eat this, don't be exposed to that, don't stress your ligaments, here's all the things that could go wrong, above all REMAIN CALM! Grin Now that I'm more knowledgeable I feel more prepared, and I do actually feel calm, surprisingly more than I thought I would. I guess we are all trying to just take it as it comes!

Miami81 · 25/04/2017 15:22

Just a quick update.
Reflexology is awesome. She was so nice. She went through everything I am taking and said that the only thing she would change was to take folate instead of folic acid. So that's good.
Also she said there is activity in the uterus, she said that as far as she can tell it is there. No guarantees but you know what it made me feel better for the day anyway.
Also she gave me homework to stimulate my ovaries for progesterone so again, great, I feel like I can do something to help.
And also I feel completely blissed out. Which is good too!!

AnneLovesGilbert · 25/04/2017 15:56

Ah Miami, that's awesome! So glad. How did you find her? Is she a women's health specialist?

I'm having a very severe case of outright fucking insane rage this afternoon. I'm so exhausted today, despite a decent sleep, that I slept for an hour in the sick room at lunch and I've been livid ever since. The last time I was this irrationally angry was a day before my last BFP, so there goes the no symptom spotting.

Due my B12 jab this week which may help level me out.

What was the advice on stimulating progesterone, and do you that would be good for ttc or just once pregnant?

Smurf123 · 25/04/2017 16:14

Hi hope everyone is keeping well.
Does everyone who has had bloods taken for rmc had one for rubella?? Mine test for rubella as part of the rmc tests.. I had a phone call today from gp surgery saying "the doctor needs you to come in for an appointment to talk about your rubella test result"
Earliest appointment is next Tuesday but I'm not really sure what to think.. Any ideas? As far as I know I haven't been in contact with anyone who had rubella and I got all vaccinations as a kid. Could it really cause 2 miscarriages both at 6 weeks 7 months apart?
I know I need to wait to find out what the doc says but a week feels like such a long time away and I'd rather have an idea....

AnneLovesGilbert · 25/04/2017 16:48

Can you ask for a phone consultation if it's going to take so long for them to see you? I don't blame you for a bit of a freak out. I haven't seen a GP for years, they do everything by phone!

I didn't have a test for it from RMC but in between my previous pregnancy and my first RMC appointment I had the second part of my MMR (had the first bit years ago, was all v confusing) so I guess he knew I was covered by that.

They tested me for it at the booking apt as I didn't think I'd had the MMR but they must have lost the results as they've never shown up since.

You don't get the MMR as a kid do you, isn't it later?

I've done a quick google of rubella and miscarriage and there is stuff out there but googling never helps much so before you do that I'd call them and say you're really stressed, you understand they're busy but you'd like someone to call you? Most likely you don't have immunity, which would be a bit crap but easily fixable. Can't think it'll be anything worse than that.

Sorry smurf, what a shitter Flowers

BertieBotts · 25/04/2017 16:55

BFN for me, but thought I saw a shadow of something, but it's probably nothing and it's gone now. So Thu/Fri I'll test again if nothing by then.

Smurf, I think if your MC were caused by rubella, you'd have had symptoms of rubella. They will probably just tell you to stay away from primary aged children, but even so, most of them will be vaccinated/immune anyway, so it's just a precaution.

DancingUnicorn · 25/04/2017 18:17

Sorry about the bfn Bertie. Really hope it's still to come this month!

Congratulations ctil. Lovely news! Seems like we're on a run.

Sorry you were left in an unknown state smurf. So annoying that there's such a long wait. Hope you are able to get someone on the phone sooner!

Ekphrasis I noticed the weeing today!! Half an hour between two. I was desperate!! I think it's because I'm drinking more and more tea though. Which is bad!

How's your rage now Anne?! Really hope it is a positive sign and not mind messing. Not that I want to encourage any symptom spotting....

Smurf123 · 25/04/2017 18:17

Thanks Anne i might phone and ask for the doc to ring me. Although I think they only normally do it if it is an emergency.. It's just stressing me out a bit to get a phone call to say doctor wants you to come in and talk but the earliest available is a week away. If the doctor wants to see me my mind immediately goes to the worst possible ideas. :-/
I've talked to my mum who has confirmed that I've definitely had the mmr.. Not sure what age!
I'm in a bit of trouble if they tell me to stay away from primary aged kids bertie... I'm a primary school teacher!! But hopefully as Anne says they will just make me get another mmr jab or something....

DancingUnicorn · 25/04/2017 18:21

Have you had two smurf? I was in an age bracket that missed the second one at high school, but had it first year of uni. Maybe it's just that!

Miami81 · 25/04/2017 18:44

I think I got a rubella top up in 2014 before going to Thailand and Vietnam. I think it is just a booster thing smurf, shouldn't be anything to worry about hopefully.
Anne you find a point on your ankle and circle. I will take a picture of the homework she gave me for you and post it on here.
Well the epu rang me with hcg levels from Monday (4+6) of 5500. The lady was lovely, she said that was really good level for my gestation. She went through all the bleeding with me and put my mind to rest quite a lot. She suggested it sounded like old implantation blood. Anyway between that and the reflexology I am feeling quite calm about today.

Miami81 · 25/04/2017 19:06

Anne here you go. I think ovary stimulation is good any time!

Is it a line? Time for some wine? Yep, it's TTC after miscarriage thread number nine.

Doublechocolatetiffin · 25/04/2017 19:51

Miami that's excellent news! I'm so pleased. Keep up the zen feeling, it must be helping Smile

swimchick1980 · 25/04/2017 20:10

Smurf, it may be that you're not immune so you have to get the jags again. I found out that I wasn't immune after going to the IVF clinic who make you get tested. I had my MMR as a child so it either means I was never immune or it wore off over time. If it's the same for you, the bummer is that you can't TTC while you are getting the jags (I think there are 3, each a month apart) as it is a live vaccine so it puts you back a bit. I got my BFP a few weeks after my last jag and I was/am worried it could be connected but I don't think it was. I haven't been tested again but plan to soon, so week be interesting to see if i am immune now......

Congratulations ctil, such great news.

I am in the full flow of AF just now, the joys! I have lost 5lb in the last week and a half though as I've finally got my ass in gear health wise. Can't wait for AF to be over so we can start DTD again and feeling like we're doing something rather than just waiting and waiting.

AnneLovesGilbert · 25/04/2017 20:18

Such brilliant news miami! Grin Those are bloody lovely levels and makes sense about the bleeding. I've been so worried! Sorry, so attached to you all and your current and future bubs!

Thanks so much for the pic. Going to give my feet a good scrub and then give that a go. Well into this stuff.

On the wane thank you dancing. Feeling frustrated and a bit wonky. So bloody tired. But anger mostly gone!

How are you doing?

Hope you get a phone call smurf.

So glad your appointment went well WLM x
