I'm well thanks Peach, massive really painful boobs and quite shattered. But has so often been af I'm not getting excited.

That's so interesting and thank you for sharing. Orange is the colour of the sacral chakra in reiki, which is orange, and the centre for fertility, reproduction, sexuality, creation etc, based as it is in the lower belly/groinal area, so makes sense. What do you do along the sides of the wrists? Massage in small circles, or just hold them? I'd love to know more. I wish my lady was a bit more hippy but she's very no nonsense!

Absolutely can't do any harm. Did you enjoy the session?

AnneLovesGilbert · 24/04/2017 13:34

*repetition of orange there, sorry

AnneLovesGilbert · 24/04/2017 13:35

I'm 8DPO so it's not immediately pre-AF. But, you know, no to symptom spotting....

DancingUnicorn · 24/04/2017 13:40

Anne fx you can avoid the symptom spotting. You're so right, I think my lingering anger is to do with the fact that pregnancy will no longer be the experience I imagined. Mixed in with the fact that now I know I hate the first trimester. Desperately want to be pregnant again, but dreading it at the same time.

Miami really hope it's nothing for you. So unfair that there's no way of knowing. Hope you're getting through the day ok.

AnneLovesGilbert · 24/04/2017 13:43

Thanks Dancing.

I never got pact 12 weeks and it was okay, not amazing but not too bad either. I want to get to the middle bit people are meant to enjoy, all swishy hair and good skin, and the end bit with the baby Smile

Forgot to add this pic of the orange chakra!

peachgreen · 24/04/2017 14:07

@Anne Yes that makes sense! I have to say, she was also very no-nonsense and at great pains to say that reflexology wasn't a magic fix - and in fact afterwards she said that she couldn't feel any blockages in any of the areas corresponding to ovaries, uterus etc so essentially it probably won't help me. But I found it very relaxing so may well go back anyway! She said just to apply gentle pressure and rotate in small circles on the sides of the wrist and then just press gently in three or four spots across the top of the wrist. It's quite calming if nothing else!

Yes I did enjoy it, she was lovely and it was extremely relaxing. I'm going to try acupuncture next so watch this space!

AnneLovesGilbert · 24/04/2017 15:00

That sounds excellent, thanks Peach x

yellowfrontdoor · 24/04/2017 16:44

Miami thinking of you & sending positive thoughts xx

Miami81 · 24/04/2017 17:20

Thanks ladies.
You are all so lovely. Still a bit of bleeding when I wipe and still cramping (I think I would feel much calmer if I wasn't cramping). Will just have to wait and see what happens.

NicolaC17 · 24/04/2017 17:20

Hi Ladies,

Just checking in and catching up. I'm 9dpo for very close to you @annelovesgilbert, however, I have no symptoms whatsoever.

@miami - I am crossing my fingers that everything is ok for you.

Hope everyone else is ok and nice to see some BFP news too. Hopefully lots more to come. I am feeling strangely positive this cycle and if it's not this month then hopefully it's next. I had some negative energy cleared at my last reflexology session and I feel so much better for it. I've gone as far as to book a healing crystal blow dry in a new salon - they say just relax don't they?! Grin xx

conkerchops · 24/04/2017 18:25

Good evening everyone!
On no @miami how absolutely rubbish - keeping absolutely everything crossed for
You and willing those hcg numbers to do a brilliant increase for
You - the pain could be wind or the slowed down bowel that one so glamourously gets in early pregnancy ?
It is so unfair - you deserve a dreamy first few weeks of pregnancy not this:-(
So sorry to hear about your losses @lulu and @turquoise - sending you love - please feel free to come
Here for venting and support - it is a v supportive community of fab ladies!
I have my reflexology scheduled for Thursday - my lady is v no nonsense as well but will try to think about orange while she is doing it -
More than anything I hope it is relaxing!
I am think 10dpo - my booobs are sore in the way that they were before last bfp and have been needing to wee lots - but after last missed miscarriage got loads of symptoms the first month after and was just af so am not at all
Hopefull! Have downloaded my training plan for my 10k so will focus
On that instead I think!

hometownunicorn · 24/04/2017 19:17

@Miami81 so sorry it's being rubbish for you. I hope it is ok. This is just such a horrible experience.

@AnneLovesGilbert and @conkerchops I think I'm at about the same point as you (CD24 of 29 day cycle - I don't do ov sticks or anything so can't pinpoint it exactly). I am finding it SO hard not to symptom spot, although I think I'm probably just having period cramps rather than anything more exciting. I wish I could remember whether it was any different to usual when I did get my BFP. I don't think it really was which is a bit annoying. Any good suggestions for distractions anyone?!?

conkerchops · 24/04/2017 19:20

@hometownunicorn - I hadn't taken ovia off my phone from
Last time ttc so can look back and see my symptoms from
When we conceived last time -
nOT a good thing as it is making me over analyse things and not ignore them as I planned!!!!

AnneLovesGilbert · 24/04/2017 19:26

Sending you love and strength Miami.

So many of us having reflexology! Need to book my next session in. It's my little bit of luxury.

What does the healing blow dry include?! How exciting.

I've just eaten a ton of pizza, nursing a small glass of incredibly good shiraz and I've finally cut my fringe. Keeping' busy!

A few of us in the same boat dates wise. I'm CD 20 and about 8DPO. Under orders from my Doc to test asap so I can get on the injections at bfp but after last month I'm not poas too soon, just can't bloody handle it. I'm on the aspirin so that'll have to do for now!

I feel optimistic about the recent rash of bfps. Send us your fertile vibes you pregnant lot Grin. Makes me so happy to think go wee versions of you incredible people growing away. Also, please don'y leave us even if you join the lucky pregnant boards. The good news stories help SO much x

AnneLovesGilbert · 24/04/2017 19:27

I've been ignoring my Ovia for most of the last couple of cycles but really wish I'd done 2ww symptoms so I can discount stuff that was misleading so started up again for a bit.

hometownunicorn · 24/04/2017 20:10

@conkerchops ack, that's probably even harder to ignore than google (which I'm sort of doing ok at...). Although, like you say @AnneLovesGilbert, it's helpful to look at. It's so hard to strike a balance isn't it?

I'm definitely not testing till I'm at least a day or two late, which would be next Monday at the earliest. So I'm going to try to be really disciplined now and just be glad that something's going on, whether it's my cycles getting back to normal or a pregnancy. Easier said than done though!

halloumisandwich · 24/04/2017 20:39

Evening all. Thinking of you Miami and sending positive vibes your way.
Still no sign of AF for me so planning to test again in the morning... trying not to think about it! In good news, DH just passed his driving test today (he grew up in North London so never bothered learning until we moved to sussex last year) so we've just ordered a Dominos to celebrate!

DancingUnicorn · 24/04/2017 20:43

Woop, good news halloumi! Enjoy the Dominoes! :)

Having an Argh!!!! moment. People, even when they know everything, just do not think. It's SO annoying! Proud of myself for not being upset just mildly bemused. (Sorry, mostly unintelligible, but can't tell full story on here!)

NicolaC17 · 24/04/2017 21:03

@annelovesgilbert - it's a crystal healing blow dry using crystals and massage with essential oils using the incredibly healing frankincense oil, this has amazing benefit, relieves anxiety, stress, helps promote hair growth, anti inflammatory, reduces pain and has been used in aid of fighting cancer and different crystals used throughout Smile I'm getting into my crystals and generally zen!! Xx

Smurf123 · 24/04/2017 21:08

Hope everything works out Miami!

Congrats to everyone who has got bfp!! :-D
I'm tempted to try reflexology after reading everything on here!
Im feeling incredibly tired today (first day back to work after easter too). Not sure if it was back to work worries or what it was but I have been having incredibly weird dreams the last 2 nights... My vivofit says I got 55mins of deep sleep last night.. And I reckon that was probably more than I really got.
I've decided I'm not buying pregnancy tests... If I have them in the house I just use them even when I know it would be too early to tell anything.
On an ever so slightly positive note the nurse phoned and said she reckonS on hindsight she got enough blood last week for most of the tests. All except one but it said it is to be carried out on day 2 - 5 of cycle and to just come back for it. I have a docs appointment booked anyway for 2nd may to get results of first lot of blood tests and to ask about gluten allergy test. According to clue I will either be on day 2 or day 5 that day (cycles before miscarriage were 25 days but af came 28 days after erpc so I'm assuming this cycle should be something in and around that) so hoping can just get it done then. Hopefully my two bruised yellow arms will have returned to regular colour by then.
Can i ask is reflexology different from massage or are they similar??

WLMcI · 25/04/2017 07:13

Waiting on tenterhooks here halloumi... Fx!

Smurf that's exactly what I've always done! I don't buy the tests online, only in the shop, and not until at least the day AF is due or after (whenever I have time due to work schedule). Saved me having to exercise any actual willpower lol Grin Hope the blood tests are helpful! The massage therapist I go to often uses reflexology, which is about pressure points and chakras, as part of the overall treatment (massage is strictly speaking for muscles, so it's different). So you may have already had some reflexology, particularly with the feet, if you go for a full body massage with a holistic therapist. Reiki is also about chakras, but that's the one where they don't touch you, just use "energy"--and I swear it's a real thing and it works! Not as popular here as in the US though.

4+5 today and going to the midwife this morning! It's early, but it's my only Tuesday off until June so she's getting me now (the community midwife clinic is only on Tuesdays at my GP). They don't do much at the booking appointment anyway; she didn't even weigh me last time! Although as I don't have a scale at home, I'm going to ask her to so she knows pre-pg weight.

halloumisandwich · 25/04/2017 07:41

Hope all goes well at the booking in appointment WLM.
Still a BFN for me... WTF?! I don't think I've been this late since I was at uni, stressed with exams! I was straight into 27/28 day cycles after coming off the pill 3 months before we conceived, and after the MC last month. I guess I just keep testing every few days for the foreseeable?

Miami81 · 25/04/2017 07:54

Bleeding seems to have calmed down, not gone completely. Thanks again for all your kind words.
Hoping today passes quickly and that I get answers tomorrow. Do they ring you with hcg that day or do you have to wait to the next day?

Miami81 · 25/04/2017 07:54

Poor you halloumi. What a pain in the behind. Fingers crossed for you.

yellowfrontdoor · 25/04/2017 09:00

Glad it's calmed down Miami.
Halloumi how frustrating! Keeping my fingers crossed for you.

Good luck at your booking in WLM!

Do you think it's inevitable that as much as you tell yourself you won't stress you still will?
