Thanks miami that helps. Did you have them done by gp? I don't even know when rmc appointment will be I got a letter a few weeks ago saying they had received the referral and would write to me again 6 weeks before appointment so I'm thinking it will be a while..
Has anyone been tested for gluten allergy as a result of miscarriage? I've heard that it can have an impact but I'm not sure if that is true or not.

MulderitsmeX · 16/04/2017 17:49

conker- miami recommended the fertility friend app to out your temps into.

LisaSimpsonsbff · 16/04/2017 18:40

I've also been temping using fertility friend for the past few cycles, and would recommend it - it's been a lot less of a hassle than I thought it would be, and I like having the extra information.

conkerchops · 16/04/2017 19:12

Thanks @mulder - I will look that up - I currently use ovia which was c intuitive last time ! Although how does one feels Ines cervix??

Wibblewobble100 · 16/04/2017 20:50

Hi all, gosh this has been fast moving the last few days. We've been away I've Easter and I only post from home hence catching up now. Toddler had first proper bout of Sickness bug so not very restful at all.

Congrats Miami, I'll keep everything quietly crossed for you.

Sorry for all the newbies.

I'm now CD 3, first af after MC 3. I had a consultant obstetric appointment, not RMC but a kind of precursor to it as i'd been under her care before. I had all my bloods done and an ultrasound has been requested. She was pretty straightforward though that in this centre they won't do anything other than baby aspirin and if you have a clotting problem heparin injections. No steroids or progesterone as it's simply not backed up by evidence from trials. She did however offer private referral to either Prof Reagan in London or Prof quenby in Warwick. It felt quite positive although the fact that there is so little that can be done scare me. I think I'm just feeling low as first due date has just passed and I only have 2 chances to conceive before the due date of my MMC when I got to 11+5. At that time I still really hoped to have a baby by the end of 2017 or at least be heavily pregnant but now that's looking really unlikely and it makes me so sad. Even if I do get pregnant I'm afraid that I have no confidence that it will proceed.... I'm sure I'll just miscarry again. Sorry for being so miserable.

Princessk29 · 16/04/2017 21:04

Thanks for the support all. It's really hard and I often blame myself due to the medication I'm on (PtSD, anxiety and depression)... it's a vicious circle as now I know I want something but not sure I'm mentally strong enough to deal with a MC again...
as sad as it is I'm glad I found this forum. Sometimes just to know you aren't the only one suffering is easier x

conkerchops · 16/04/2017 22:01

@wibblewobble and @princess - I totally get what you mean - knowing you want to be pregnant so so very much but totally terrified that you could not survive another loss :-( that terrifies me - but we have to keep hope that it doesn't always have to end that way and we WILL get our rainbow babies and v soon !
V sad that this forum has to exist but like you say so good to have somewhere to
Come where people really understand and we feel a little less alone :-(

ctilbrook32 · 17/04/2017 13:49

Hi, I'm new to the chat forum world, still trying to get used to all the acronyms. I had a mc just over 2 wks ago, was 5 weeks, so very early days but still devastated, first conception after 7 months ttc. I'm now unsure when the new cycle starts, I've been using the ovulation sticks, I had one faint positive a couple of days ago then back to nothing, maybe I'm not ovulating this month or not yet but hard to know when to count as first day of cycle. Only had one day of proper bleeding after neg result after about 10 days of v light spotting. All v odd as usually AF is heavy and about 7-9 days! Aaah it's all so tiring and stressful, I just want a baby.

miwelaisjacydo · 17/04/2017 15:12

Hi please can I join this thread please.

Have been TTC for 12 months then in January got a BFP I then had an early m a week later.

Am finding TTC really hard

LisaSimpsonsbff · 17/04/2017 17:28

Hi ctilbrook and miwela - so sorry that you both have to be here. I've just had a second loss at five weeks (though in both cases I suspected it would go a bit earlier than that), and this is now month eight of trying, so I know that feeling of frustration that you're already a bit sick of TTC and then this happens - it feels somehow unfair. For what it's worth (I know everyone's different) I ovulated about five days later than 'normal' after losing at five weeks, ctilbrook, counting the first day of bleeding as cd1.

ctilbrook32 · 18/04/2017 07:07

Hi lisa, thanks for being so welcoming and supportive, really appreciate it. So sorry to hear of your recent loss too. It is so difficult but I try and hold onto 'it WILL happen when it's meant to' but it doesn't always make the losses easier I know. Thanks I will keep using the ovulation sticks, nothing today but hopefully it's just going to be late.

Doublechocolatetiffin · 18/04/2017 09:02

Just catching up after a busy bank holiday weekend. I'm sorry to see so many new faces here and that everyone is going through this.

I can't get the ovulation sticks to work for me. I was testing in the morning and then in the afternoon and was getting very mixed results. I got a line in the morning, although it wasn't as dark as the control line, then nothing in the afternoon! I thought you were supposed to test later with them as the hormone builds during the day? This is proving to be way more difficult than I'd imagined!! Any tips?

AnneLovesGilbert · 18/04/2017 10:12

Morning everyone Smile

Massive hugs Wibble, sorry you're having such a hard time, it's shit. My due date for MMC is in a month and I was SO sure I'd be happily healthily pregnant again which might take the sting out of it. But seems not to be. Well, one chance! But not too attached to the idea tbh. Just going to try and maintain some zen.

Welcome to the new ladies, so sorry for your losses Flowers, so much strength and bravery here.

I'm doing alright, busy weekend but managed to make DTD a priority around epic hosting and sure I ovd Sunday - really intense lower cramps feeling, ewcm, cervix soft and open, really bloated. So weird, woke up yesterday and all the symptoms were gone so 99.9% that's what it was. Only difference to normal ov stuff is the discomfort was very low down and on and off all day, whereas I usually get a strong stabbing/twingeing on my right or left side for about an hour.

conkerchops · 18/04/2017 11:07

Welcome to the new ladiesFlowers
I finally got back to running after my mmc yesterday and I cannot tell you how amazing it felt to be taking back control of my body again and doing something I love - I turned up my music v loud and enjoyed the headspace and sun and fresh air!
It gave me confidence back that I can cope with whatever comes next - just need to employ more strategies like running and me time!
I'm also looking into reflexology - has anyone else tried it and found it helped with ttc and recovery from miscarriage?

yellowfrontdoor · 18/04/2017 11:19

Tiffin I was using opks once a day at 12-ish & had success that way.

Feeling more positive as the days go on. Think we're going to try a visit to BIL & SIL at the weekend.

I'm also feeling envious of all the ladies on this thread who enjoy running. For actual fun. Grin

AnneLovesGilbert · 18/04/2017 11:23

Ha ha! And me yellow. Keep meaning to give it a go....

conker, I had it while pregnant and I've started again. Feels like a nurturing thing to do for myself and I was lucky enough to find someone who comes to the house which makes it even more relaxing. Really recommend it.

AnneLovesGilbert · 18/04/2017 11:24

To the runners, do you just stick a pair of trainers and a decent bra on, walk outside and run? I'm massively unfit....

DancingUnicorn · 18/04/2017 11:52

Anne there is a thing called couch 2 5k on the NHS website somewhere which I used. A beginners running schedule that alternates running and walking and builds you up. I would need to start again from scratch though. I think I need to figure out some other form of exercise!! Hate running!

Bleeding post smm seems to have stopped. Just waiting for af to show up. Really hoping I get my lovely short, regular cycles back. Feel like I deserve that at least!

conkerchops · 18/04/2017 11:54

I did couch to 5k about 4 years ago and have never looked back! I am
By no means fast
Or a
Marathon runner but I love it
More than I ever thought I would! I would encourage anyone who is keen to get out there and give running a go :-)

AnneLovesGilbert · 18/04/2017 12:27

Thanks both. I need to do something! I'll have a look now.

Dancing, I got first af post MVA 28 days after surgery. Can't remember sorry, have you had a bfn?

You might find your cycle changes a bit, I've always had short ones when not on the pill, down to 22 days or so and really heavy so had chronic anaemia. Amazingly, the last two cycles have been 28 days, so finally normal! Not sure how long it'll last but enjoying it for now. Praying for a bfp asap, obviously, but for now I'll take not being on every 2 and a half weeks Grin

AnneLovesGilbert · 18/04/2017 12:31

The app reviews are shocking, do you recommend giving the NHS one a go anyway or is there something better?

DancingUnicorn · 18/04/2017 12:32

Still getting bfp Anne. 15 days post surgery. A bit annoying, but now the bleeding has stopped I'm feeling a bit more reassured. I wasn't told by the surgeon or EPU to take a test, so I don't want to ring them in a panic about it just yet!

DancingUnicorn · 18/04/2017 12:33

Oh, I never used the app. There's a schedule online and I used that combined with the Runkeeper app!

LisaSimpsonsbff · 18/04/2017 12:34

Anne I used C25k a couple of years ago and thought it was really good - unfortunately I (unrelatedly) hurt my ankle and so had to stop and never went back. I keep thinking I'll start again. Anyway, I tried the app and it was awful, but just downloading the podcasts and playing them worked well - you have to be ok with the music, but it's pretty inoffensive mainstream stuff.

AnneLovesGilbert · 18/04/2017 12:39

That's a bit shit Dancing, sorry. If it's still positive in a few days I'd call the EPU and just let them know. Can't be too careful x

I'm sure it'll sort itself out soon but keep an eye. My discharge paperwork from the ward said to hope for a bfn within 2 weeks.

Thank you Lisa, that's helpful. Sorry about your ankle! The most I've ever injured myself was tearing something in my back in a yoga class. Oh the awful awful shame of the whole thing Blush

Also can't say I've ever downloaded a podcast so this will be an exciting week!
