Swimchick

I know that feeling all too well, my LO is 3 as well- conversations with friends & acquaintances asking if we are going to have baby no.2 or "time for another one!"

They all mean well and are nice people but it's so frustrating!
I feel like screaming- well, we should have a 3 month old right now but mother nature is a cruel bitch!

And, yes we've been trying since last summer with no luck so far!

Our close friends know the story and so don't ask those questions.

TurquoiseDress · 04/04/2017 10:19

DancingUnicorn

So sorry to hear that- I too had a MMC, discovered at my dating scan at 13 weeks.

Went down the medical management route in the end- seemed to take forever but was the right thing for me.

I too felt strangely positive at times during the whole process, the glimmer of sunshine was knowing that we could TTC again soon.
Unfortunately have not been able to become pregnant again, despite a full 9 months TTC.

Hope you get your BFP again soon!

DancingUnicorn · 04/04/2017 10:28

Turquoise I'm so sorry it's such a long journey for you so far. I hope things change for you soon.

Sunshinesaz86 · 04/04/2017 12:10

Hi ladies, I've been following your thread for a while but never posted. I'm sorry you are all here. And sorry to everyone having such tough times.
I had MMC back in Feb found out at 12 week scan had ERPC on Valentine's Day! Romantic.
I wanted to ask how long after an ERPC does it take before you get a negative result.
I've just taken a test (far too early) early response 5 days before AF and I'm sure I can see the faintest of lines. Do you think I could be pg again or HCG left over?

AnneLovesGilbert · 04/04/2017 12:11

Thanks swim. BFN today but no twinges at all so neither do I feel like af is coming.

She is a cruel bitch turquoise. No fucking justice when it comes to making babies. Sorry it's all been so shit. Have a hug x

So sorry for your loss Dancing, you're among friends here. None of what you feel or think is stupid, promise. For me the positivity comes and goes, this bunch of amazing women helps me no end.

Hope your first af comes quickly and is alright. They say it should take at least 20 days to arrive post mc or surgery so you know it's definitely af. Get a bfn (always a complicated day!), then see if you feel like you ovulate and then expect af a couple of weeks later. I drove myself nearly insane waiting for mine. I just needed something normal that I recognised! it was 28 days exactly after my MVA and no worse than a normal one.

Look after yourself.

Sunshinesaz86 · 04/04/2017 12:33

I forgot to say I've had one normal period since MMC? But I'm driving myself crazy thinking I can see a line? Urgh my own fault for testing so soon!

DancingUnicorn · 04/04/2017 12:51

Thanks Anne. I'm sure the positivity will be sporadic, but I'm grateful for it right now. Yeah, I was told to treat surgery as the first day of my period, so to expect AF in a month or so. I'm assuming it can vary wildly.

I'm sorry, don't have any experience to share sunshine but really hope it is a bfp for you!

MegsMog · 04/04/2017 13:02

Hi all - can I join please? Currently miscarrying at 5 and a bit weeks. We'd really like to start trying again ASAP and would love support / advice from those more knowledgeable than me! Xx

Anna2006 · 04/04/2017 13:15

@DancingUnicorn sorry to hear about your loss. It's an incredibly difficult time. Take all the positivity you can get for now. Cos it's one rollercoaster of emotions.

@TurquoiseDress Feel your pain of the months passing by ttc. We've spent 6 months ttc since the miscarriage an I'm beginning to get very patient and fed up. So can't imagine how you feel at 9! None of it logically makes sense!

I like to occasionally look & here & follow you ladies. You all deserve BFPs so let's hope some start appearing very soon!

AnneLovesGilbert · 04/04/2017 13:17

That sucks Megs, so sorry for your loss xxx

Is this your first pregnancy? We're a mixed group here of women with one, more than one or none yet, and one or more loss. Every loss hurts and people here will understand what you're gong through.

Some of the same things come up quite often so have a scan back if there's anything in particular you want to know. Otherwise lob any questions out there and we'll do our best!

Dancing, hope you've had good care and people are looking after you.

sunshine, if you've had a proper period since you can't have any HCG leftover. Did you get a bfn after? They say you should have one by 2 weeks after the surgery/completed mc. If you had HCG left because you were still a bit pregnant you couldn't have had a period.

5 days before af sounds reasonable for a faint positive. Want to post a photo? If you're not sure what's there, I'd wait two days and test again with first wee of the day as HCG is meant to double every 48 hours and if it's there you should be able to get a stronger bfp.

The waiting is the bloody worst but if you're pregnant you'll just be a bit more pregnant on Thursday! Smile

NicolaC17 · 04/04/2017 13:37

Hi to all the new ones and sorry you're here. It's totally rubbish but do ask anything as there's lots of experience on this forum. I've just finished AF and should be ovulation on good Friday (day off) so I hope it does turn out to be a good one. 4th cycle post chemical and the cycle we conceived after MMC so not sure how I feel if we conceive this cycle as it didn't help having that break last time but who knows.

@annelovesgilbert - how many DPO are you and when is AF due?

Doublechocolatetiffin · 04/04/2017 13:45

Hi Dancing I'm so sorry you're going through this too. I remember you from the October thread. I changed my username from Anotherminime after finding out about my miscarriage, seeing as there wasn't going to be another.

I had an ERPC last weds so I'm in a similar position to you. Just waiting for 2 weeks to go by so I can test negative and I think we'll start trying again. My bleeding seems to have pretty much stopped (fingers crossed) so hopefully my body will be getting back to normal soon.

In the mean time I'm eating as much 'pregnancy banned' stuff as I can! It's ok to live off Brie and bacon sandwiches right?

megs I'm sorry to hear about your loss too. It absolutely sucks.

Fingers crossed for you sunshine that you've got a bfp!

Sunshinesaz86 · 04/04/2017 13:51

Sorry for your loss dancing and megs and all you other ladies. It's truly a cruel thing to have to go through. My MMC was a surprise pregnancy as my DS had been diagnosed with leukaemia at the end of September so another baby wasn't at the top of our list but we were happy and excited about it. But it obviously wasn't meant to be, but due to us looking forward to it we decided to try again and just see what happens as we think a sibling for our DS would be lovely.

Thanks anne I did think that due to me having a natural period it couldn't be HCG but wasn't 100% sure. I have got a pic but it so hard to see I don't want you all to think I'm bonkers if you can't see it! I will just maybe wait another couple of days or maybe even to see if AF shows up x

DancingUnicorn · 04/04/2017 13:53

So sorry tiffin. :(

I went to a wedding the day after the scan where we found out. I drank and ate brie. It felt so strange. (It was a very good friend, so desperately didn't want to miss it). I feel a bit strange eating the banned things. I craved steak while I was pregnant, but now don't feel so fussed.

Fingers crossed for you nicolac.

I'm just focusing on feeling ok and staying healthy. I lost half a stone when I was pregnant, from all the nausea, so hoping I can keep that off now and start from a healthier place. Need to start taking my vitamins again too, after a rebellious weekend off!

DancingUnicorn · 04/04/2017 13:55

Oh sunshines, I'm sorry about your ds. Hope he is recovering!

AnneLovesGilbert · 04/04/2017 16:14

Af due today and about 16DPO Nicola so if it was happening surely I'd be getting bfps by now.... Just doesn't feel like she's going to show.

Occasional back ache or little cramp but I usually get that consistently the day I come on and it's been happening for about a week.

I'm torn between sensibly just not wasting any more money by literally peeing on it, and the panic my RMC doctor left me with about finding out asap so I can stab jabbing myself in the belly with the drugs.

We're away for my birthday this weekend and if I'm not pregnant I intend to get roaring drunk and eat a lot of blue cheeses. So all won't be lost! But some fucking clarity about what the hell's going on in there would be pleasant.

Fx for a romantic Easter for you guys! Grin

NicolaC17 · 04/04/2017 16:31

Well I am holding out hope for you @annelovesgilbert..if not hopefully you won't be too far behind me next cycle. Oddly I've been getting what feels like ovulation cramps today on my right side which is worrying me a little that something isn't right. I'm CD 4 and ovulate CD14 so no where near ovulation and I don't normally have this either - any ideas?!

@dancingunicorm - after my missed miscarriage in September it felt bitter seeey drinking and eating things I shouldn't and to be honest other than a few occasions since I can't manage more than about 2 glasses of fizz and I don't want to either. I'm a little worried I'll bet angry drunk or I'll become overly emotional so I don't have to much. It should have been put due date this Saturday so not sure if I'll have a drink this weekend and then I try to stay cleat on the TWW. Wine xx

MegsMog · 04/04/2017 16:35

Thanks for the welcome - sorry we're all on this thread though 😔

I already have a DD who will turn two next week, and this MC was our first cycle trying for #2, so in a sense things could have been much worse.

I'll have a read back through the thread, wishing the best of luck to everyone xx

Wibblewobble100 · 04/04/2017 16:44

Hi folks, hope all is well. Just checking in. Welcome, and sorry for the newbies. I'm awaiting 1st AF after MC 3. We weren't going to TTC before AF but DTD for fun probably at about the right time so of course my hopes are up.... I don't really know when AF would be due but I'm probably about half way through TWW.
I have been gleefully consuming wine and cheese and missing my vits😯 Partly because I think we're not TTC and even if we were, doing everything you're supposed to clear hasn't worked so....

Miami81 · 04/04/2017 17:07

Hi there
Sorry I have been off the radar for the week. We were at home for a family party and also in fw so that was a bit annoying. Trying to get down to business in your childhood bedroom is a bit of a nightmare. I am cd14 and looks like I have ovulated based on bbt. Gonna get a couple more bd in today and tomorrow just in case!!
Anne fingers crossed for you.
Sorry to see so many newbies, welcome but sorry you are here all the same.
Feels like an age since we have had a BFP ladies. We could do with some good news soon!!

Smurf123 · 04/04/2017 18:27

Hi to everyone and welcome to all the newbies..
I've been some of the other posts and have a question..
So if you still have some levels of hcg can you not get af?Confused

Smurf123 · 04/04/2017 18:48

Ignore my last message .. I don't know how to edit or delete it. I had done a test on Sunday that was still showing 1-2 weeks pregnant and af arrived yesterday which is why I was asking.. Been to shop for a new test and it has now come back negative. Although I think that means I didn't ovulate at all this month after the miscarriage 4 weeks ago today but on the positive side at least I can hopefully look to the future and try again...

BertieBotts · 04/04/2017 19:50

I don't know about not getting AF if you have hCG actually. It seems logical, but it's not hCG which stops menstruation, it's oestrogen IIRC.

The only way to know your hCG level for sure is a blood test, which they don't give out easily on the NHS, so who knows. You can keep taking cheapy tests until they come negative.

Hi. Had a mc on the 17th of march was 6 weeks gone. Im so into the idea of a baby that we have already started doing the deed without protection. I have 2 dc already 12 and 14 so a big age gap WHEN it happens. Just so sad to be on this thread I would be 8 weeks and 5 days today Sad

BertieBotts · 04/04/2017 19:59

Lots of new people... sorry you are all here!
