Hope she hold off Bertie. I'm now 3 days late, bfns all week and no sign of af. I could only be at most 14/15 dpo. I don't know what's going on Confused

BertieBotts · 25/03/2017 07:20

Oh fingers crossed minime! Is there a chance you were mistaken about your ovulation date, or do you think you're really late?

FX for you both.

Was trying for just over 3 years before got BFP just before Christmas. Was just about to start IVF then got it. Also took about 3 years for my DC1. DH had low sperm count. I don't have another 3 years of trying in me and time is against us.

keeponrunning85 · 25/03/2017 08:23

Thanks for all your kind words of support and encouragement yesterday ladies.

Did another test this morning. A definite BFP confirmed by DH. Still quite faint but I did stupidly buy a different brand of test that needs hcg levels of 25 to he positive as opposed to yesterday's which needed 15. Here's hoping it is 4th time lucky. I think DH is already preparing for another MC. I'm going to try and be zen and accepting of the fact that there's nothing really that I can do to change the outcome.

I'm going to lurk in the background if that's ok? Don't feel ready to go to the pregnancy after miscarriage thread yet. And I'll be keeping my fingers crossed for you all!

NicolaC17 · 25/03/2017 08:30

Ahhh I really have my fingers crossed for you @keeponrunning85. Will you be able to get an early scan? How many DPO are you? I'm 8 and pretty much think I'm out. I've decided it doesn't benefit me finding out early though and it's an extra few days of worrying I can do without so won't test until I'm late. Luckily AF is like clockwork for me and usually comes to the hour (she won't know will she)

Anyone else due this week and holidinh out?

Miami81 · 25/03/2017 09:19

Congratulations keepon that's great news. Fingers and toes and everything crossed for you.

keeponrunning85 · 25/03/2017 09:36

Thanks ladies. Absolutely crapping my pants!

Nicola I can get reassurance scans every 2 weeks from 6 weeks at my EPU. Think I'm going to try and hold out until 7 weeks for the first though because I don't want to risk having an inconclusive one if I got at 6. Presuming I even make it that far. No idea how many DPO I am. I don't opk or temp.

Morning all
At my counselling session yesterday we were talking about how I would have felt if I had gotten pregnant this cycle. We basically decided that it would have been very difficult. My head still keeps referring to the previous pregnancies and their timings etc. So counsellors suggestion is to acknowledge both those babies, make them real, give them names (or nicknames or whatever) and record our loss of those babies. She suggested the bluebell meadow on the MA website. Think we might do that on Sunday given that it is Mother's Day. I am their mommy, they may never have become my living children but they are my children none the less. Anyway I didn't know about the meadow, thought some of you may find it helpful.
The sun is shining, I am getting up for a run soon. Have a great day.

AnneLovesGilbert · 25/03/2017 10:15

That's such brilliant news keepon, made my day Smile

Look after yourself, find a reassuring mantra or thing to say to yourself if it helps and please do stick around. Really happy for you x

AnneLovesGilbert · 25/03/2017 10:22

That's made me a bit weepy miami, Flowers its a really good idea. You've got a good counsellor there and it's lovely of you to share these things with us. Is she through the hospital and does she have expertise in pregnancy loss?

Sounds like a really healing thing to do together.

I have a name for one of mine and my infinity ring but I haven't pictured the others as babies/people. Do you think it will help? Please share them here if you want to x

Fresh start next cycle and I admire you dealing with all this, think what a good position you'll be in when your next baby comes to you Smile

swimchick1980 · 25/03/2017 10:41

Congratulations keeponrunning. Fantastic news this beautiful sunny morning. FX for a smooth ride for you this time Smile

peachgreen · 25/03/2017 11:06

Oh Keep, I'm so delighted for you! Wonderful news. Please stay here as long as you like. Fx everything goes well for you. I agree about not having a scan too early - I had three inconclusive ones with my last pregnancy (though we saw a heartbeat before the miscarriage) and it was absolutely awful, so painful being in limbo.

swimchick1980 · 25/03/2017 11:46

Just cried at the Love Actually skit from Comic Relief last night while eating a full good of Matchmakers. Think AF is on her way Hmm

Chlo22 · 25/03/2017 12:22

Great news for you keep, fx everything goes well for you.

I have a bit of a technical q. Had a letter following our consultant appt with list of tests we had done. Does it sound like we've had all of them done? Killer cell, chromosome, thyroid and thrombopholia I've read about but others I'm not so familiar with- Sle antibodies, anti cardiolipin antibodies and anti nuclear antibodies.

After feeling positive and like we had a plan after having all of that done, I've started to feel crappy as the weeks gone on as this isn't a road I want to go down and really don't want to have to worry about this shit anymore.

halloumisandwich · 25/03/2017 14:00

Congratulations keepon that's so exciting! Fingers crossed for you, just take it a day at a time.
Just had a little cry at the love actually skit too swim!

TurquoiseDress · 25/03/2017 16:19

Hello all, hope that everyone is doing ok!

So we are on cycle 9 now- have been trying since July with not a sniff of a BFP.

The recent sunny weather is making me feel down- I remember it was a beautiful spring day last April when I got my very unexpected BFP- and it just reminds of how much time has gone by, nothing has changed and I should have a 3 month old with us now Sad

Cannot believe it's almost a year since my last BFP!

Also, I know that to have any hope of a 2017 due date/baby, we need to conceive this cycle...no pressure then! Also, I will be turning 40 next year, so once I get into the 2018 due dates it all starts feeling like things are never going to happen.

Am on CD13, have got 4 CB ovulation sticks left, but only started testing yesterday as last month it took 9 sticks until I got a peak on CD16!

So CD 12 &13 are negative so far, but last month they showed as high fertility. I thought the sticks were like the cheap OPKs which detect the LH.

Anyhow, I am definitely NOT buying anymore as they make bugger all difference (for me anyway!)

Hope everyone has a bit of sunshine wherever they are!

See pic for list of tests from another thread. Hope this helps.

Congrats Keep on. FC it's 4 th time lucky.
Thanks for the list Miami, that's useful.

Miami81 · 25/03/2017 21:00

Tirquoise
I think my first bfp last year was around the same time as you. I can't believe that it is a year since and we still are no further forward. It is very difficult. Anniversaries of various things along the way have been really hard, I hope you are ok.
My SIL had both of her dc after turning 40. As did bosses wife (45). Don't lose hope. Mind yourself over the next while as I say the anniversaries are a real kick in the teeth.

minime2017 · 25/03/2017 23:29

And I'm out this month as af has made her presence felt. Have had the week from hell at work so I'm guessing stress has delayed her arrival. Countdown to another FW and another go in April

fluffiny31 · 26/03/2017 07:44

I just want to say happy mothers day to all you angel mummy's. (hope that doesn't upset anyone) FlowersCake xx

AnneLovesGilbert · 26/03/2017 09:37

Thank you fluff Flowers

I had a card from my DSC which was nice.

Hope everyone's okay today. Big love x

knorrig · 26/03/2017 09:43

Hope you don't mind me coming back on here (I was previously jbee on here when TTC) but I just wanted to say thinking of you all today as I know Mother's Day can feel so tough, I struggled last year as it was close to what would have been my due date and I felt so sad that it wasn't me. I'm very lucky now to be 27+1 after two consecutive mc's in 2015 & 2016 but thinking of you all as I know how tough this journey can be. Try and stay positive and I hope it happens for you very soon xx

AnneLovesGilbert · 26/03/2017 10:18

Thank you knorrig and I'm so happy your pregnancy is going well. I'm sorry for your losses.

Wishing you a healthy peaceful pregnancy and thank you for giving some of us hope.
