Thread 26. TTC #1 - Calm as a hysterical cucumber

Calling all OPK-ers, Temp-ers, Clomid-ers, Femara-ers, IUI-ers, IVF-ers and anyone else on the TTC #1 Bus.

We've been going a while now so the novelty has somewhat worn off and we're slightly battle scarred and bruised in the cervix area. We don't get a lot of baby dust in these here parts, we just keep it legs spread and fingers crossed (LSFX). We love a baby bomb from a prior bus-mate but if we get told to 'just relax and enjoy it' ONE MORE TIME you will get a punch in the face!

Here's our Grad's Thread. May 2017 lead us all to upduffed heaven and the Grad's thread, amen.

We don't have rules as such but expect to be talked down from the ledge with kind but firm words if you get too hysterical. But most importantly, don't convince yourself that you're pregnant in the tww. That is paramount!

Hop on board, post your stats and prepare to be dazzled by the wealth of TTC knowledge we long-timeys have to share...

I wondered if it could be when I had some pinkish stuff yesterday. It could be I suppose. It was just properly red, albeit watery, and (gross) but I had a poke around and its sortof brownish red mixed with CM, so fairly sure it's not cervical.

Pyjamas81 · 17/02/2017 17:27

I think that all sounds really positive kathrino!

I checked my work phone and it appears systems were down at my work as well - good thing am off sick or would be in the pub as well and am not drinking for rest of cycle! Would be funny if we worked at same place - wouldn't surprise me, many do!

Londonjam · 17/02/2017 18:12

I think some women do bleed a bit when they ovulate. Has it happened around ovulation time before flash?

Hope you're feeling a bit better pyjamas

Happy Friday everyone, hope you've got lovely weekends planned Wine

Binkybunny13 · 17/02/2017 18:58

Sorry you're still feeling poorly pyjamas 💐I agree that DTD is quicker and not so sickly as baby dust/dance (🤢) but HS or GOS sound like good options!

Glad today was ok kathrino, and interesting that they seem to agree with those that london has seen. I'm keeping my fx for you both!

That's weird flash, have you ever had anything like that before? Any pains? How heavy? I'm worried about you- take care 💐

DH is mia at present so getting a shot in before we go out is looking unlikely Hmm grr!

Happy Friday all! 😊

Kathrino · 17/02/2017 18:59

I wonder if we do pyjamas. Does your company's name have three letters in it?

Thanks for the positive story of your friends gee, I'm guessing lots of people probably conceive with dodgy morphology but because they don't have any problems, they never have a SA. Wishing you lots of luck as you head into your ICSI cycle. DH went to the pub at 5 so not sure the advice has really sunk in!

Pyjamas81 · 17/02/2017 19:09

It most certainly does kathrino! Ha ha small world (or not so small considering the size of the company we work for!) Must have been chaos in the office today with no email!

Am feeling a bit better thanks binky and jam - well better enough to try and convince DH into a GOS later ha ha. Reminds me of this scene from friends m.youtube.com/watch?sns=em&v=0RNrvtqTaE4 😂

Kathrino · 17/02/2017 19:38

Haha, that's too funny pyjamas. Can't believe we work for the same place. We do get everywhere!

Luckily nobody in my team was particularly busy today so we mainly sat around and bitched about how crap IT are for two hours and occasionally had to go to talk to someone instead of just emailing them. Then most people decided just to go home early! Not a bad way to spend a Friday.

Londonjam · 17/02/2017 20:13

Maybe a late night slightly drunk GOS binky?

I can't believe you two work for the same company! How funny.

glitteryvibes · 17/02/2017 20:17

Glad your tests came back ok kath, do you think your dh will go with the drinking advice? Not even really sure how much my oh drinks but I would say he's definitely more of a binge drinking like me.

Glad your feeling better pyjamas hope you can muster up the energy for your fw.

I'm 8/9 dpo and have some brown spotting today since around lunchtime, hasn't stopped but not getting any more apparent. Hoping like mad this is a good sign and not a sign of impending af that's hopefully not due for 5 days....had some mild cramps/twinges yesterday evening but not today.

Flashinthepan · 17/02/2017 20:24

Ooo glittery, could be IB! Since im trying not to symptom.spot I'm doing it for other people instead!

Thanks ladies. Don't worry about me binky, I've had weird bleeding since last summer and am seeing a gynae in 2 months..just annoyed as don't see how I can really get a bfp with erratic bleeding like this. Jam yes last cycle. Seem to have had really strong ovulations last cycle and this. Not sure if that's a thing but lots.of ewcm, then really sore boobs straight after. So maybe the bleeding is a sign of a good strong egg? (Clutching at straws!)

glitteryvibes · 17/02/2017 21:01

flash I know but trying not to get hopes up at the same as googling everything last thing out of implantation bleeding. I had like a tiny amount of spotting 1 day before my positive opk this month and that has never happened and I was like wtf is by body trying to do now!!! But ovulation spotting I think is surprisingly common so hopefully that was what you had.

Pyjamas81 · 18/02/2017 00:00

I spend a significant amount of my life moaning about IT kathrino and the damn lifts ha ha

GOS achieved - I can go back to feeling ill now and stop pretending I'm "totally fine!" DH feels so used 😂

macsworth · 18/02/2017 08:15

Anyone else trying to work out which 3 letter company pyjamas and kathrino work at?! (Don't expect you to say ladies)

Did your GP give you any ideas about the bleeding flash? Or just refer you on?

Really hope it's IB glittery 🤞🏼

pyjamas that friend clip made me laugh! Did you get the sexy vix rub out?

So glad we've vetoed baby dancing and baby dust on here. Way too sickly sweet for me.

Still no idea when AF is due so taken to the ritualistic knicker checking!
Also since the parking thread was talked about I've become completely obsessed with the mumsnet AIBU threads, such a great distraction from checking if my uterus has expelled it's lining.

Pyjamas81 · 18/02/2017 08:28

Hahahaha mac - our company is big, so I did wonder on occasion if there would be someone from the same place here!

DH didn't take too much convincing - I'm glad I get a break today though!

I'm also addicted to lurking on the AIBU threads - too scared to post there though 😳

Meeting friend's baby for first time today (I have warned her about my cold) - can't wait! Mainly because I haven't left the house for two days and am climbing the walls...

glitteryvibes · 18/02/2017 09:01

Well the spotting is still there just about, think it might be stopping. Still just one painful boob and not much else to report. Seeing my friends baby today as well pyjamas I never quite know what to do holding other people's babies.

Pyjamas81 · 18/02/2017 09:36

Oh me too glitter - am world's most awkward baby holder!! Am definitely not a natural and generally give the baby back after about 30 seconds ha ha

Londonjam · 18/02/2017 10:23

Morning girls Brew DH got back from work at 5am and refused to HS as "too tired". Any tips on how to wake him up?!! I have a confession Blush I did an OPK yesterday and was proper positive so we really need to get on it. I have made quite a loud cup of tea already...

That sounds really promising glitter fingers crossed!!

Pyjamas good work shagging with flu you are a trooper

Macs that parking thread has got me branching out - I am too loving the AIBU board and was brave enough to post one about a 'friend' who is upsetting me. Got mostly really helpful and supportive replies.

I'm jealous of baby cuddles today! I'm quite good with babies, worked in an orphanage in my gap year and got used to nappies and bathing and feeding them. I must say though since TTC I've been less bothered about other people's babies. When I hold them I just think "I want my own now"

Kathrino · 18/02/2017 10:27

Ugh, the lifts. I can't even begins to imagine how many hours I week a waste* waiting for them pyjamas*! Glad you managed to fit in a GOS last night and have a lovely time with your friend's baby.

I hope the bleeding is a good sign glittery!

macs, I have also become a bit obsessed with the other parts of mumsnet. I can easily lose an hour of my life reading some of the threads in fascination/horror.

We're planning EOD from tonight although DH had a really weird experience in the middle of the night. I could tell he was quite restless and he finally got up to go to the loo about 4. When he came back he was shaking uncontrollably and his breathing was really shallow. It took about an hour to calm him down and get it to stop. I'm sure he'll deny it but I think it was some kind of anxiety/panic attack. Not sure if it's a reaction to the appointment yesterday or not but hoping he feels better today.

KerryLeanne84 · 18/02/2017 11:08

How is everyone doing today? Smile

ViSovari · 18/02/2017 11:49

Morning all.
Hope everyone is having a nice relaxing Saturday morning or in your case london a GOS!

Had my doctors appointment yesterday, and I'm actually being referred to someone (don't know who she ever said but I'm
Assuming gynae) to see if we can regulate my cycles (day 67 here Confused) as it's impossible trying to find a fertile window at the minute. Anyone any experience of this and what they might do about this??

Also having a panel of blood tests, thyroid, testosterone, diabetes, hormones etc etc so fingers crossed something comes from that!

Kaydee2017 · 18/02/2017 12:23

Afternoon ladies Brew just catching up!!

Binky hope you managed to get a GOS (loving the new abbreviations) in!!

Hope you're feeling better today pyjamas - illness always seems to come at the worst time! And your poor DH, but needs must 😂

Kathrino Glad the doctor was unfazed by your DHs SA results, and hope he didn't have too many at the pub last night?!

Flash hope it was ovulation related & a good sign? Fx for you!!

Fx for you too glittery that it's a sign of an imminent BFP!

Sorry, no advice Vi but good they have referred you on to try & regulate your cycles, hope you get an appointment soon Smile

Hope AF leaves you alone macs!

Hope the baby cuddles are all good today!

Sorry to anyone I've missed too! CD10 here & a GOS this morning too, feeling hopeful as long as we can keep at it! LSFX all Grin

Londonjam · 18/02/2017 13:01

Kath your poor DH, I hope he's feeling better today. It must be a shock for them. My DH has been very quiet about it.

That's good you've been referred vi hopefully they can help get you more regular. We did get a GOS in too 😉

CarleyColie · 18/02/2017 13:41

Sorry about AF EJ Flowers completely understandable that you need a break, take care of yourself and hope you feel better soon.

Love the new acronyms ladies (especially SWI !). I don't mind DTD but baby dust and baby dance.. bleurgh.

Oh Flash how annoying. FX it was something O related!

Mac I often browse the AIBU threads.. some good reads on there!

Jam hope you managed to seduce DH? I find that prancing about barely clothed tends to work Blush or if desperate measures are required then just get naked and initiate - it's yet to fail Blush Grin

Aw Kathrino your poor DH! Hope he is feeling better today

Glad you got referred Vi, hope they manage to regulate your cycles!

Urgh my OPK's are not as clear as last cycle. Last time I had positives CD12 evening and CD13 afternoon. I had faint lines from CD11 getting progressively darker up to the positive.
This time they are keep getting darker and lighter, no positive yet but last one wasn't far off (CD14 afternoon), so praying it's on the way! I am also temping this cycle so hopefully will see a temp shift soon.

On the plus side I've been shagging like a trooper Grin CD 7, 8, 10, 11, 12, 13 and going again tonight Shock think we will go back to EOD if no BFP this cycle!

ZEB91 · 18/02/2017 14:08
