Thread 26. TTC #1 - Calm as a hysterical cucumber

Calling all OPK-ers, Temp-ers, Clomid-ers, Femara-ers, IUI-ers, IVF-ers and anyone else on the TTC #1 Bus.

We've been going a while now so the novelty has somewhat worn off and we're slightly battle scarred and bruised in the cervix area. We don't get a lot of baby dust in these here parts, we just keep it legs spread and fingers crossed (LSFX). We love a baby bomb from a prior bus-mate but if we get told to 'just relax and enjoy it' ONE MORE TIME you will get a punch in the face!

We don't have rules as such but expect to be talked down from the ledge with kind but firm words if you get too hysterical. But most importantly, don't convince yourself that you're pregnant in the tww. That is paramount!

jam very impressive! We're doing c25k and did week 4 last night (although started Jan we had a couple of weeks break) and running for 5 mins solid was bad enough!

I think I'm in the tww now. What is everyone else's ov pain like? I've occasionally noticed a twinge but yesterday I had a really intense stitch like feeling very much where you'd expect along with some referred pain elsewhere in abdomen (including weird shooting pain roughly between vagina and. ..ahem...the other passage, to the extent I had to be sat at my desk leaning forward not sat back properly

I then started googling cyst ruptures in a panic but I think what I felt can't have been bad enough for that?

So sorry af got you skipper your DH is adorable. That message 💜. I hope it's not much longer before you are both celebrating a much deserved BFP

Af has pretty much gone now, so need to muster up some enthusiasm for HS again. DH has done another SA today, I am so so hoping for better morphology 🤞🏼

winging it's weird - I've never really had ov pain before but had it this cycle, and it's continued since I ovulated. I initially had pains both sides and now it's a dull ache on the left and bit of cramping. I thought might be my ovaries getting going again - was about a week out after my mc. How many dpo are you?

harriet i didn't opk this month but it was cd17 and I usually ovulate between 16 and 18 therefore my thought was it was the actual moment of ovulation? It carried on feeling a bit tender into the evening, and was different to normal AF/ate something dodgy cramps

Jam - ha ha! That has made me laugh so much....sorry. if it's any consolation, my OH is NEVER like that normally.

jam we paid for a create one, and whilst adequate it was amazing, density low and morphology of 4%

This is an nhs one, as it's been about 60 days since he's been shoving loads of supplements down and cutting out caffeine so I want to see if it has made a difference and so we can continue to next steps with investigatons with Gp.

Did your gp offer you AMH reserve before you went to clinic?

So I'm out tonight with some friends I only meet up with once in a blue moon. One has a newborn, one is heavily pregnant and seems that the last girl who I though was "safe" is also pregnant. Fuck!

Alexia I had a rotten cold through most of my cycle - particularly around CD11 - 17ish - which is the only thing that I can think of that could have thrown my temps. I did take them religiously at the same time (even at the weekend when I was tempted not to set an alarm!). It's my first month temping so I don't have anything to compare to yet.

What a rollercoaster smitten! Wish it was easier to tell what our bodies are up to!

AF is imminent for me I've been spotting since Monday, bright red since Tuesday. Normal for me to spot a couple of days but normally in full swing by now.. wish it would just hurry up so it's over sooner. Although it is early for me (only 9dpo today) so maybe not a bad thing that it's taking a few days.

FX for those still waiting to test, we're due some more BFPs!

Fx winging for a better result although yours don't sound bad at all. Ovarian reserve is a mystery to me I don't really understand it or how it's measured. I asked the consultant and he looked through the blood results my
GP did and basically said your fine the problem is him. 🤷🏼‍♀️

Hey ladies - hope you're okay! I'm CD30 and no period yet. Bit confused as my cycles have been 28 days consistently since last august, but trying resolutely not to get my hopes up.

The only thing I can think is that the estrogen injections I took back at the end of Jan ahead of my (Called off) IUI might have messed with my cycle a bit. I'm going to call the clinic tomorrow and ask them.

Isn't it just so typical that your body always finds SOME way to make you think there's a possibility this might be the month!

jam 8 miles?! wow, i run but not that far, 2-5k are my regular lengths and they kill my lungs.

harriet also 4dpo here, apart from being in an an almost annoyingly good mood not much to report

out of interest, anyone taking extra b vits (to stop early spotting/lengthen luteal phase/whatever else they are supposed to be magic potion for) have you noticed any metalic taste in mouth when you started on them? have doubled checked my mouth so many times and defo no gingivitis whatsoever and thats the only thing ive changed and its way to early to possibly consider it as an early symptom.

Kerry, I was going to ask the same question as glittery! Are you going to POAS?

Jam, did you have AMH tested as part of your bloods? That gives the indication of ovarian reserve which is important because it shows how much time you have (ie roughly how many eggs you have left) but can also indicate how well you may respond to IVF. A lower AMH isn't in itself a problem but something that should definitely be factored into any treatment plan.

The night was horrendous for me. Lots of baby talk (obviously) but the little man let everyone hold me but him. He absolutely hated me. In my head I'm punishing myself and thinking "well this is because you are not meant to be a mother" but don't worry, I've slapped my hormones in the face and told them to go do one.

Go POAS Kerry! It'll either be a BFP or bring on AF (sod's law had me wasting three perfectly good FRERs when TTCing when I was late - literally the first wipe afterwards welcomed in Madam Bitchfeatures. I'll be hoping for the former result ofc

Hormones can just bugger off. My best friend's baby adores my DH. Couldn't give a shit about me. It's ridiculously and irrationally upsetting. Take care of yourself sk1pper.

I'm in cramp town tonight. Presume AF will appear tomorrow. Only CD32 and it's. It unusual for my cycles to be 35 days long. Just hope it arrives before I get on a plane on Monday :/
