Calling all OPK-ers, Temp-ers, Clomid-ers, Femara-ers, IUI-ers, IVF-ers and anyone else on the TTC #1 Bus.

We've been going a while now so the novelty has somewhat worn off and we're slightly battle scarred and bruised in the cervix area. We don't get a lot of baby dust in these here parts, we just keep it legs spread and fingers crossed (LSFX). We love a baby bomb from a prior bus-mate but if we get told to 'just relax and enjoy it' ONE MORE TIME you will get a punch in the face!

Here's our Grad's Thread. May 2017 lead us all to upduffed heaven and the Grad's thread, amen.

We don't have rules as such but expect to be talked down from the ledge with kind but firm words if you get too hysterical. But most importantly, don't convince yourself that you're pregnant in the tww. That is paramount!

Hop on board, post your stats and prepare to be dazzled by the wealth of TTC knowledge we long-timeys have to share...

Hey skipper it can be at any point in my cycle (Fanjo-cam), my appt just happens to fall when I'll probably have AF. I have so many stupid immune conditions that have been found incidentally that I'm worried there will be another thing on Friday that's stopping us getting pregnant 😫 I know worrying is pointless but my mind won't let it drop

Sorry pyjamas 💐

Miranda234 · 07/03/2017 07:30

Sorry for AF sk1pper and pyjamas Flowers hope you're both ok

Flowers binky, I hope the week goes quickly for you, waiting is always the worst bit

Hope you have a better day today kwick

Congratulations on the house jam, really exciting!!

Fx for you smitten

I think your scan might be today peaches? Will be thinking of you, really hope all is ok

Flowers to anyone else who needs them through this tough time

sk1pper · 07/03/2017 07:30

Hope I didn't jinx it for you Pyjamas

Well good luck for your scan anyway Binky, don't be a stranger, whether the news be good or bad. I hope you have a beautiful womble. ❤️

Londonjam · 07/03/2017 08:11

Sorry you're feeling rubbish binky I find it almost impossible to stay positive in the TWW when the hormones basically turn me into a sobbing mess. Good luck with your scan and fx for next week

Sorry pyjamas 💐 I hope you'll get yours within the 12 months; they say most will conceive within a year. Hopefully not too much longer

Peaches hope you are getting on well

Londonjam · 07/03/2017 08:47

Smitten are you testing again today? Fx

Hopeful did you have any luck this cycle?

Pyjamas81 · 07/03/2017 09:11

Thanks everyone - still spotting when wiping today. I was a little teary last night, but overall I'm fine and as I said - expectations were low. On the upside it means AF will be right on time, which means I ov'd on time, which means we did what we could on the HS front - it just wasn't our month.

It also means I can carry on not using OPKs or temping thank fuck. I'm thankful for the stress free TWW I've had - would've been a different story if I was monitoring everything and no amount of tracking would've changed the end result. I'm a bit blue today, but I've got some fun nights planned, where by god, I will be having some goddamn proper drinks. DH and I had a chat last night - we'll go for IVF as recommended by dr in May if no luck by then.

Sorry for the downer guys! Just need to lick my wounds and I'll be right as rain again 🙂

harrietm87 · 07/03/2017 09:47

Aw pyjamas sorry you are feeling down. jam is right - most people will
conceive within a year and no reason to think you won't be one of them. Also it is great news that your cycles are regular and you know your body well enough not to have to track - that's brilliant. May is not far away but fingers crossed you won't need it.

Kathrino · 07/03/2017 10:01

I'm sorry about the imminent AF pyjamas, it's never easy but you sound so strong.

Binky, it sounds like you've had a rough few weeks and it's always tough when you're worrying about a scan as well. I hope it all goes well on Friday Flowers

Thinking of you peaches.

SmittenPears · 07/03/2017 13:06

Wow, so BFN this morning on internet cheapie. This makes me think that, what with the positive opks, I'm actually ovulating right now, which is an insane cycle length (O around CD35...!)

Wow, here I thought I was nearing the end of the TWW, and it turns out it's just starting? TTC, you bitch.
At least we HS CD33 and 34 ... !

Londonjam · 07/03/2017 13:10

IC's are rubbish smitten. I hope AF stays well away x

Kathrino · 07/03/2017 15:31

That does sound crazy smitten, have you noticed any EWCM or anything like that recently? I'm sorry but I can't remember if you came of BC before you started? Is that likely to be mucking up your cycles still?

AlexiaB · 07/03/2017 16:02

Congrats on exchanging Jam 🎉 Excellent news! That's great you get 2 FETs. Lots of opportunities there! I'd want to be on a nice high dose of meds to get as many eggs as possible to maximise those 2 free FETs (if needed).

Sorry for the spotting pyjamas. Definitely let your hair down and enjoy your birthday Wine

Sorry you're finding it so tough at the moment Binky Flowers You're dealing with a lot right now but at least you're well on the way to getting the answers and help you need. Hope your scan goes well and you're given positive news!

Sorry Smitten Flowers This is why I think it's worth closely monitoring ovulation in the beginning. I wish I had done it sooner! It does seem most likely that you're ovulating now because of the BFNs. As Kathrino said, have you got and other O signs like EWCM? Keeping my fx for you.

How's the spotting today skipper? Xx

I'm 99% sure I'm out too based on my emotional state today. I've been in floods, had to come home from work early. Was sobbing to DH "why am I not worthy of being a mother? What did I do so wrong to deserve this life?" Very dramatic I knowBlush Just feeling overwhelmed with sadness and disappointment at the moment. Hormones suck! so does long term ttc

That's exciting you're starting your IUI so soon Kerry. Best of luck and please keep us updated!

Welcome back Missy. As others have said you're not there yet with the OPKs but keep at it and you should get your positive soon. Well done for getting on top of your anxiety, long may it continue Flowers

Hi Carley - had a look at your chart. Firstly, amazing amount of GOS'ing and exercise. Go you! 👏 Your chart is quite hard to interpret. I would discard your CD16 temp as it seems unusually high. What time was your opk still positive at on CD23? I think O happened on CD24 but your temp on CD24 is the one causing the issue. Is it 100% reliable? Your chart after this point does show a steady, slow rise which to me indicates ovulation. Have your temps reached their usual post-O range? That's the only reason I can think for you not having CHs already.

Oh Alexia, poor thing - virtual hug going your way...glad you went home early, hope some rest helps

I like your PMA pyjamas, going to try to follow your example...

Yikes smitten, that's quite a cycle

kwick, thinking of you - hope your hectic week isn't getting on top of you Flowers

sk1pper · 07/03/2017 18:05

Pyjamas - sorry that you're feeling so blue, it is horrible when AF arrives (again) with nothing to show for all your hard work. I'm glad you've got a few positives there to focus on though and I hope your BFP come well before May.

Smitten - do you always have longish cycles? (I can't quite remember). As Kath has asked already, any discernible symptoms that could help us work out what's going on? CM is definitely worth checking, can you root around up there and feed back ASAP? Grin

Alexia - I will tell you this right now, YOU ARE ABSOLUTELY, 100% WORTHY OF BEING A MOTHER. Your body knows what it takes to make your perfect baby and its just biding its time and making sure you get the perfect little human you deserve.

I stupidly skipped ahead on my fertility app and noticed that in June, my period starts on my goddam wedding day. Aint nobody got time fo'that! So I've been drinking copious amounts of raspberry leaf tea all day to try and induce my period but fuck my life, it hasn't worked. The last time I drank the tea after ovulation, my period was like "hey mate!" and this time its more like "screw you bitch". Grah, must be the only long time TTCer right now who wants their period here ASAP.

harrietm87 · 07/03/2017 18:29

skipper my period came early and started the day before my wedding day! I thought it might be late from stress if anything! It was fine though. Worst case you can get meds from the doc but I was afraid they'd mess up my hormones. Hopefully though you'll get your bfp by then!

Londonjam · 07/03/2017 18:33

Thanks alexia I'm working up to buying It starts with the egg - you're right I want to give myself the best chance of having successful IVF. Sorry you're feeling so awful, it's hideous when it hits you like that. Cry all you need. Keeping my fx for you.

Skipper are you late? I'm just thinking maybe you should test to rule out BFP before drinking any more raspberry leaf tea. Clearly if you're definitely out then go for it - hopefully you've got time to influence the dates and avoid that on your wedding day.

sk1pper · 07/03/2017 18:46

Jam - I'm not late, period is due tomorrow or Thursday. And I've done an FRER - it was snowy white! Thanks for checking though xx

glitteryvibes · 07/03/2017 19:43

smitten yikes, that is some cycle, but in some ways maybe a second short a the fw isnt such a bad thing?!?! i dont think ive ever in my life had a cycle over 29 days, but if it did and i wasnt pregnant id prefer the second ovulation over af i reckon!

alexia you will get your sticky bfp, and dont beat yourself up for feeling sad, when i was at uni i had almost an entire year where i would feel sad and cry randomly but it always made me feel better, even if i didnt understand why i needed to cry. i just wish my face didnt look like ive been in several rounds with mike tyson after ive been crying.

skipper you wont get af on your wedding day! youll of had your bfp instead and be enjoying all the booze free toasts.

pyjamas yay no more opks and temps, you can just do the fun bit! sorry your feeling down, you will have that bfp by may, maybe with your new relaxed attitude your body just needs another cycle to get used to it and then bam, theirs the bfp you deserve!

Pyjamas81 · 07/03/2017 21:29

Thanks everyone - you're right, no reason why it can't happen by May. More spotting throughout day today and now nothing - same as last month, so expecting AF tomorrow. Just wish my body hadn't decided to spot randomly - wish AF would just appear so I can have a glass of 🍷 in peace! I never used to spot, but this is now the third cycle in a row where it's happened - BAH.

WT actual F smitten! How confusing and infuriating!

How annoying skipper - but hopefully you'll have a BFP instead.

WingingIt83 · 07/03/2017 22:42

Just catching up again, sorry for AF pyjamas

Jam I bought that book after kwick recommended it and there are some quite enlightening areas. The Bpa research really unnerved me as I'm really bad for drinking water repeatedly out of the same plastic water bottle. All plastic bottles have been chucked, as have all old plastic tupperware and replaced with new glass ones instead.
It's all about marginal gains right now!

sk1pper · 07/03/2017 23:05

Winging - I drink out of plastic bottles all the time....shouldn't I be??

WingingIt83 · 08/03/2017 07:00

sk1p bpa is a toxin found in plastics which compromises hormones and can harm egg development. The biggest contributor is hard plastics like tupperware, the Bpa leaks during heating etc microwave, dishwasher, washing in hot water. So I've changed all mine to glass. Single use water bottles are probably ok, but I tended to reuse them, wash them out etc.

WingingIt83 · 08/03/2017 07:03

The egg book says plastic water bottles ok, but I read around on Google which suggested they might not be hence the change.

Pyjamas81 · 08/03/2017 07:19

Right on time - AF is here. Crazy busy day ahead of me at work, so at least will be distracted. And have drinks tomorrow with work - will be having a proper drink! This is a tough one as am 36 next week and I really thought I'd be pregnant by now. Oh well, it is what it is.
