Thought I'd kick of the Feb bus.
I'm ttc #3 and it isn't easy this time.......
I'm planning on giving Feb all I've got - who's with me??!

Yes def important for both to be on board with it. Think all too often it's the mums who get a hard time about it and that's quite unfair. Not just for health reasons but to support each other too. Tell DH it reduces his sperm count

Right bedtime for me. This 2WW is def feeling like my longest yet! Fingers crossed for everyone!!

Hi everyone, this has urned out to be a great amusing and helpfull thread!
I got a positive opk yesterday on Cd15, smiley face on pink clear blue opk and strong test line on cheap. Kind of came out of nowhere so we rushed to dtd last night but dh couldnt 'perform under pressure' so frustrating but I guess it can be hard on them. (Although seriously - I just wanted to shout 'You have one job. ONE JOB'!!!)
Anyway we set the alarm and dtd at 6am to make up for it so feel ok. Not sure we'll get another go in tonight as he isn't back from work yet so looks like a pretty poor effort from us this month. I had such good intentions as well......
How long have I got before my egg shrivel up do you think? Positive opk Tues eve, dtd weds morn. Will it last until Thurs eve do you think? ?

Mother it's a day or two after the OPK for the egg to release and then it's there up to 24 hours. They say it's best to dtd before as the sperm can take a while to get there, but I would definitely try again tomorrow too.

I've done mon, tue and tonight. Will go again I the morning but then I'm away until Sunday morning. Was hoping my OPK would be positive tomorrow as due, however it's still very negative today so I'm not feeling very optimistic as wouldn't be able to do any more BD until Sunday.

I did chuckle at the 'one job' 😂 that's partly the reason I don't say anything to hubs when it's FW, but then it makes it difficult when I'm doing the nudgey bum at night when he's knackered after a long day and he's like "really? Again today?" 😂😂 and I want to scream "yes again ffs, we've only got 48hrs!!!"
On that note, everything I've read says egg survives for 12-48 hours. So you could defo get another bit of fun in 👌🏼
I'm in the 2ww and I've got everything crossed, but having mid-read my opk, I've either dtd 6 days before ov, the actual day of ov, or the day before ov and the day after...
Lol. All over the shop.

Ooooh Charley can you help, I know the positive opk signals the LH surge but does the egg pop out the same day you get that?
I mean, are you ovulating when you see the LH positive, or are you only ovulating on the day the egg comes out?
And are these 2 different days?

Misty the positive OPK means egg is ready, so you technically don't ovulate until the egg travels and gets in place. The time ranges between 12-48 hours generally. If you temp then you can track exactly whaling day but I find it too fiddly. Then once you ovulate the eggs there for 24 hours to let the swimmers at it haha

So it is 12-48hours from the moment you get a pos opk... and at some point in those hours, the egg will make its move and either meet swimmers who have been just Netflix and chillin in the tubes for a couple of days, or get swamped by new swimmers if you happen to dtd on the day... is that about right?
So as soon as pos opk you've got 48 hours max.. I think I get it.
So that's why it's good to do it beforehand, I see!x

Yeh I think that's about it misty. I normally try to dtd up to the day after I get the positive. Although I'm cycle 4 with not a hint yet so I might not be the best to advise

First day of using CB digital opk this morning ...negative!!

The line on the strip is darker than it was two days ago though and Ovia predicts fertile window begins tomorrow ...so fingers crossed that positive peak is on its way !!

Yes this is all right about ovulation and DTD before if possible.

I've got a cold :( Should really muster up effort to DTD some more because I'm definitely in FW but it's only happened once so far.

Another question... maybe a stupid one ...can you get pre seed/ conception plus etc at boots???

4dpo here..... Nothing to report

I don't mean you've got double chins LOL I mean all of your respective chins!
So today I'm either 4dpo, 6dpo or 7dpo!
Whatever it is, I have nothing to report.
I did have a bit of crampy bubbly tum today but I think it was just wind 😂
And my boobies are ever so slightly tender but I'm still recovering from circuits on Tuesday and butt, thighs and arms are tender too!
So refusing to symptom spot this month 👊🏼

One more thing... I'm starving 😩 today I have been hungry all day but didn't get to eat much during the day coz I was busy in work then had a big fat McDonald's this eve (so unhealthy I know) but I literally can't stop thinking about food! I was eating my chicken legend, on my last bite and a McDonalds advert came on and I went "mmmm I could eat those nuggets now" Hubs looked at me stupid. Now I'm sitting here really grumpy coz I want more food 😔 but at the same time, don't want to be a piggy haha.xx

Hey guys, I got the digital cb dual hormone opk. I finally got a high reading today so a few questions lol. How long after the high reading will it normally go to peak? Also when you get a peak reading is that the day you ov?

So feeling very deflated today. Cd20 but had excrutiating pains last night which I think must have been ovulation. If so, I've missed my window this month.

I've never experienced anything like it - it was like early labour pains!!

Misty I'm a secret junk food addict, but with a healthy eating DH and a toddler, I often end up eating chocolate in the loo!

I'm starting to get AF symptoms today. I haven't had one since stopping the pill, so hopefully this is it and I can start tracking my cycles a bit better. I told my DH last night and he seemed disappointed that we didn't get a BFP in the first month. Think he liked the idea of having super sperm, but I had to let him down gently and explain how it works

mummy that's weird about the ovulation pain, could it have been implantation? I'm still figuring out how this all works. Stock up on wine and chocolate for tonight

See some of you from the Jan bus are here! Here we go again!

Anyways, I will update myself quickly... Got a bfp Sunday gone (22nd?) and then sadly 3 days later my symptoms diminished and within hours I got what looks like af chemical pregnancy I believe they call it?!

Anyway I was sad that it's was all short lived but also understand that these things happen and I tested farrr too early! Like 11dpo so wasn't even a missed period.

My plan now it's to use opks and look for signs with cm. Then when I'm officially in the tww I will jump off the bus and wait t out until I am seriously late (like a week or two maybe) and test if af hasn't come by then. I want to be 6 weeks with the nausea etc before I test! I'm v fortunate to have two lovely children already to keep me busy and if no.3 is ment to be then it will happen but not getting worked up about it!

Hi harry I used the Clearblue digital OPKs for the first time this cycle too. I had two days of high before getting a peak - I think it can differ a lot but that's the average from what I can tell. Hope that helps, good luck!

Thanks, yes that helps. Im due for af on the 8th so hoping the luteal phase is long enough. Just worrying really.
