I started to think I had morning sickness the day after we first started trying. Turned out it was the prenatal vitamins! 😂

MistyBxx · 24/01/2017 23:07

Literally I was so sure I was pg last month that yesterday i swore I wasn't going to symptom spot again this month. 24 hours later I'm freaking out over a coldsore 😂 in my defence I've literally never had one before! Been with hubby 10 years and my mum obv all my life lol how can it suddenly appear! Annoying little blob 😡
Maaaan this is gonna be a long 2ww lol xx

passmethewine123 · 25/01/2017 06:33

Hi,

Just jumped off the January bus...can I get a ticket for Feb please?! Grin

Age 27
Cycle 2
CD 1
TTC 1

First day of second cycle for me, last month was a bit of a flop as wasn't sure when ovulation happened, didn't DTD on the right days and used KY lube which I didn't realise isn't good for sperm! This month I'm more prepared, I have started temping, got my OPKS at the ready and also bought some PreSeed.
FX for everybody on the bus Smile

Charley2016 · 25/01/2017 07:19

Haha thanks for all the facts! Here was me thinking it was only me who felt like I'd died after Wink haha! Well managed another dtd last night about midnight! Bloody shattered haha! But I think we did everything right for once, conceive plus, right positive, legs up, me "dying" after haha! Envying those lucky ones who just accidentally fall pregnant with no planning or peeing on sticks!

We're both working really late again tonight but I'm away tomorrow lunch time do determined to get in another try tonight and tomorrow morning!

Motherhippy16 · 25/01/2017 07:34

Good morning all. I'm crawling over from the Jan bus...I would say hop but after got me like a ton of bricks last night on cd 31 which is my longest ever. Took a hpt yesterday am which was of course a bfn even though I had nausea, painful and veiny boobs, horrendous bloating, runny nose and massive craving for lemonade.

Age 31
Ttc #1
Cycle 4
Cd 2
Average cycle length 28-31 days.
This is my 4th month off noriday which I was on for 5 months and 11 years on cerezzete before that. I am suffering so much on non pill regulated cycles buy it will be worth it! Dh said to me last night we are going to go for it this month Smile as last month I ov late and didn't dtd enough around that point (I think) glad to know he's really on board and supportive (he puts up with so much!) Lots of love to all and fx the Feb bus is a lucky one! X

EMHW123 · 25/01/2017 07:59

Jeeze good work charley! I'm impressed! Im in the week Pre ovulation so decided to dress up last night and have sex for fun 😂 think my OH was suspicious of my motives 😂

Misty you are hilarious! Cold sores are the new first sign of pg!

I'm determined this is the cycle of no symptom spotting. I'm not doing it. My sanity depends on it. Annoyingly this month I've had a 5 day very light period. I'm normally 3 days tops! Now on count down to peeing on cb ov sticks..... the ttc saga continues..... good luck to everyone in the 2 ww x

MissMagpie · 25/01/2017 08:00

Just confirming my seat in the Feb bus after AF arrived ultra promptly this morning, complete with awful cramps running down into my legs.

My stats:
Age 34
Ttc #2
Cycle 8
AF due last week of Feb (varying length of cycle).

Charley2016 · 25/01/2017 08:08

EMHW good job oh the sex front! Can't wait to do it with no requirements again haha!! I'm definitely all for no symptom spotting but every time I get to the week before I get determined I'm pregnant! My period also went from 3 to 5 months too this month, although I wasn't bothered as was less time to wait for fw and was more ready to dtd as hadn't for nearly a week!

Mother sorry to see you on this bus, had my fingers firmly crossed for you in Jan bus!

I got a very negative OPK this morning. Hoping it comes tomorrow so that this week hasn't been for nothing!

Motherhippy16 · 25/01/2017 08:35

Thanks charley....thanks for the fx...hopefully this bus will be more lucky for us both! X just need to get af out the way and get back to feeling human again! X

MistyBxx · 25/01/2017 08:36

Morning all! Hi to the Jan passengers!
Well the cold sore saga is over.... it's disappeared lol 🙈 so I'm not sure it was even a cold sore to begin with! Maybe I just caught my lip in my drink bottle... or just an irritation! Oh well lol glad it's not one!
And I swear I'm not going to symptom spot any more!! I am aching this morning and feeling shattered but that's coz I went back to the gym last night after about 3 weeks off... it was hard!
Asked the trainer about exercising during pg/trying to get pg, and he said it's good to exercise and even beneficial during pg, does everyone agree?
I do a circuits class once a week so I'm not flat out by any means lol but it's quite high intensity and I lift weights etc (not heavy ones lol I'm a weakling haha!)
But as I don't lead the healthiest lifestyle (bad diet, smoke, occasionally drink) I like to keep up at least one day a week of fitness!
I'm not overweight and my general health is very good and I of course will quit the fags when I get a bfp (I'm told I should quit before but I've got quite a stressy job and I neeeed something in my life, sorry if that sounds selfish!)

MrsC2017 · 25/01/2017 16:55

Hi everyone, 3dpo and not a fake symptom to spot very boring this tww business!! Having a weekend away though so that will kill time before either AF or BFP next week.... It should be called the ttw as in the twiddling thumbs wait....!

BluePheasant · 25/01/2017 17:32

Wow this thread moves fast!

6dpo for me today. Failing miserably at trying not think too much about everything. No more brown mucus today so I think it was old blood from ovulation bleed. Have had low back ache all afternoon which I usually get a day or too before my period, but it's only CD23 though and I usually get at least 30 days, prob nothing! No more weird boob pain today.

Re. Husbands. My DH has the pleasure of knowing every detail whether he wants to or not! Grin he doesn't mind though, and he was much more decisive about ttc #2 so this is all his fault anyway! Wink he's very laid back, I'm the one who worries about every single possibility!

Misty I work in obstetrics as part of my job and exercise is most definitely a good thing in pregnancy provided you don't over do it. High intensity classes should be fine while ttc but I would prob ease it back a little once pregnant but tbh honest just follow what your body is telling you. If you start finding it a lot harder than you used to then go for something less strenuous.

BluePheasant · 25/01/2017 17:36

(Smoking is the number one thing you need to cut out but I don't need to tell you that Wink we are now putting a lot more emphasis on reducing smoking in pregnancy as well as afterwards at my trust. I would really encourage trying to quit before you get a bfp, as your body needs to get rid of all the toxins. Sorry nag over, I can't help it Wink)

EMHW123 · 25/01/2017 18:06

Evening all! I've just realised I've bought the old cb ovulation kit online! Jeeze! I'm guessing they are still fine?! No flashy peak ov face on these ones 😒 and the others that go in the monitor (which I don't have) also arrived 😂 do I spend cash on a monitor?! The weird part of my brain says yeah do it as I bet if you do you'll get pg before ever using it, the other part says get the refund and spend the £30 in the pub! 😂 thoughts?!

BluePheasant · 25/01/2017 18:14

I put off getting a CB digital OPK for about 3 months but it was good getting confirmation this cycle and showed that we weren't trying at the right time previously. I hate how expensive they are but will prob carry on with it until I get preg now.

user1471496670 · 25/01/2017 18:23

I'm jumping on!
Had a huge meltdown last month when AF arrived, and have settled at 26 day cycles. So nervously going to use OPKs this month to see whether I'm actually ovulating early enough to allow a pregnancy to implant and bought some Preseed too for good measure!

Stats are: TTC number 1 at age 38+9mths.
Cycle 4
CD 5
AF due on 16th February

EMHW123 · 25/01/2017 18:23

Thanks blue! Yeah I think I'll keep both and consider getting the monitor.... you can pick up one on eBay so may do that! Fx it works for both of us!!

MistyBxx · 25/01/2017 18:35

Thanks blue, that's fab info 👌🏼
As for the smoking, I know it's sooooo bad and even now every time I have one I'm like omg what if 🙈 but I've told myself from a young age, even before I was ever ttc that I will defo quit as soon as I find out I'm pg. I know every single one is bad, especially while I'm actually ttc, but I've sworn to myself when it happens, I will quit and never go back! But until it actually does... I can't bear the pain of trying to quit, I know how awful that sounds 😭 I'm such a goodie, I've never done anything naughty in my life, I do drink but only socially, nothing in the house, or very rarely, but my vice is I do love a puff 🙈 but bear with me coz as soon as I have any obvious symptoms or am able to do a test, it will be like a lightbulb and I will put my selfishness away for good! You're not being a nag at all, it's correct and very appreciated what you say :) xx

EMHW123 · 25/01/2017 18:41

Misty I chucked it 18 months ago and I still think about it most days! I gave up as I realised I'd smoked for more than half my life and it freaked me out a bit.

I didn't give up because I actually wanted to I loved a wee fag!

My friend did the same as you and stopped as soon as she was pregnant.

I don't envy you! It's hard!!!!

EMHW123 · 25/01/2017 18:42

Hello User! Welcome and good luck with the opks!

MistyBxx · 25/01/2017 19:21

lol I don't envy myself either 😂🙈 I'm on about 10 a day, a mix between pack-bought and role-ups. Going cold turkey terrifies me, I once went on holiday with my parents (who don't know I smoke... despite being 32 haha!) and I had a complete meltdown in the airport coz I hadn't had a fag for about 2 hours, couldn't of course join my dad in the smoking area lol and had a 3 hour flight ahead. I cried, dozed off on the plane, woke up and cried again lol my parents just thought I was tired and grumpy!
But with being pg, the soon that line is there, my life isn't about me or how I feel any more ❤️

BertieBotts · 25/01/2017 19:27

I was able to give up smoking easily when pregnant with DS but I did start again when he was about 18mo. But cut down to being occasional as was worried about health risks. I have smoked once I think since starting TTC but it can reduce your egg quality which is what puts me off the most now. DH vapes now and says he wouldn't ever go back, he's hoping to wean off nicotine by the time we have a baby. It wasn't the same for me and I'm not interested in vaping, but it does fill a craving when you're desperate.

MistyBxx · 25/01/2017 19:49

Thanks Bertie. I've got a vape and used it for a while as well as fags, so did cut down to about 5 a day for a couple of months but it didn't last long.
Thanks for the advice all, I'm defo taking it all on board xx

BluePheasant · 25/01/2017 21:22

So glad to hear you say that Misty, you definitely sound like you have the right outlook! I meet lots of ladies who have managed to stop as soon as they got pregnant, not even with any help, they just stopped so it can be done! That's not to say others don't find it really hard, everyone is different. Just ask for help if you need it, lots of advice available and you can get patches etc on prescription, it might even be free for pregnant women but I'm not 100% sure on that one. Vaping definitely much better option than cigs and if that's what works for you then great. The important thing as well is to stay off them for good as we know there are links with cotdeath, asthma etc

We are now classing ladies who smoke 10 a day or more as high risk pregnancies because of the association with higher incidence of still births and prematurity, and it is currently sounding like pretty soon women who smoke any at all will be in the high risk category. Hopefully this all adds to your drive to stop Wink
Don't beat yourself up over it that you haven't stopped yet, I think most ppl need a big reason to stop and a baby is a v good one Grin you sound v positive and determined, you will be fine Smile

Right I am going to take off my professional hat and shut up now! Grin

MistyBxx · 25/01/2017 21:40

I am defo positive and determined blue, it's sad the fact that my own life and that of hubby (who also smokes) hasn't been enough to make me stop so far but having a baby is a blessing and I certainly won't allow myself to put a future life in danger for my own habit! And I know that hubs will be the same too, I've already warned him.
Plus, we are not gonna be able to afford it! Another scary stat is the amount we spend a month on fags 😳 obvs not as scary as health stats but scary all the same 😂
I will defo be asking for help, I can only imagine how hard it's gonna be so will be taking as much advice and support as I can get, feel free to dish it because when the time comes, I will always be grateful to receive it!xx
