January bus anyone?

Thought I'd start the January bus, anyone else hoping for their BFP to welcome in the new year?
My stats are -
Age 23
TTC #2
CD 10
Cycle -- hard to put a number on, been trying a year but have had two losses, 5w and 12w so not sure where to count from.

First 2 DC with a previous partner so this is the first between me and DH. Making me nervous as caught on with #1 & #2 straight away.

Usually have spot on 28 day cycles but last month af arrived on day 29th.

Had a chemical pregnancy in August (I think). Generally feeling pretty disheartened and feeling more and more tearful with every BFN!

Sorry to hear you're struggling Sayen, I hope this might be your cycle.

Novice I like the Clear Blue OPK because it is easy and "clear", but I haven't tried others. From what I can tell others don't detect estrogen rise before LH surge? Maybe they do and I've misunderstood: please someone correct me if I'm wrong, as I'd like a cheaper easy option! Anyway, I like it clearly highlighting the fertile window a few (in my case 3-4) days before LH surge, for timing. I got my LH peak last night and think I felt ovulation pang this am. Hope that helps!

Update - I'm in my fw now. Got a smiley face on my ovulation test this morning. Dtd Monday, tues, tonight and hopefully tomorrow. Fingers crossed it works this time!

Just out of interest, I have been reading through, but what's the earliest and latest in your cycle you have ovulated?? I'm not yet opk tracking and relying on apps but I vary from 26-31 day cycles. I'll just Dtd from earliest to latest possible

Hi Phase - i was just using glow app until last month but then decided to buy c/blue opk 10 pack pink handle (don't buy 20 pack they've been discontinued so may be out of date) ... anyway - I got a smiley face on my opk on cd 15 (but sadly couldn't dtd after which pissed me off massively) and when I put this info in the app it changed the fertile window a little .... so I'd say get some opks xxxxxx

I've just bought some cheapies of Amazon but may consider them nx month. I'd be pissed off too-ive been there!!

I'm sure the cheaper ones are just as good.
Mate - getting my o/h in the sack at the right time is my biggest challenge, he works so much and doesn't want to properly try until May.

I love talking with you guys but I'm determined I will get a BFP before then!!!!

Hippy- My OH is the same as yours he wants to take the first 6 months easy! He did buy me the OPK but he is so much more chilled than I am 🙈 Next month I might try without the OPK as like you said I get pissed off if i can't DTD when I think I'm ovulating 😁 If I'm right this month we DTD a few times around FW but haven't been able to DTD since last Friday as my OH has man flu.. so if I ovulated any later than what I think then I'm definitely out 😩

How's everyone else doing? Who's the next to do a hcg test? X

Amz - thank you for empathizing with me on this. I hate the fact that my oh is being so casual... he wants to go on a luxury holiday first and thinks we've got all the time in the world.... he's thinks he's Peter fucking Pan... he's 41 and I'm 38 next month ... I'm cracking on regardless and i know he'll be made up when it happens even if it does mean no expensive holiday! I know what you mean about not using the OPK's though - it is so frustrating kissing that egg good bye having not dtd enough! I've got 6 left from last cycle so fack it .... i'm using them and am already trying to schedule the best time. the last 2 months i've had a 29 day cycle and ovulated on day 15 last month, but AF arrived on CD 29 (Tuesday 20th Dec) which makes that cycle day 1 and means last cycle was only 28 days.... so I need to keep tracking the ovulation day and i need to time the tackle.... I am determined to do this soon.

I don't blame you wanting to keep going with it, I would do the same as you.. Like you said he would be made up if you get a BFP so why wait!!

You always have us on here to talk 2..so whenever you need to let of some steam just go for it.. Have you told any of your friends or family you are TTC? So is this your 3rd cycle? X X

Thank you for not judging me for cracking on regardless, whilst i see his point, I also think he's being slightly selfish as it's my body that has to carry the baby and it could take a few months even with both of us on board.

I've been trying since September cycle but we were on holiday and i used OPK's but didn't get a line. Only DTD once in FW. October - binned off the OPK's, only dtd once, have no idea if i ovulated but clearly didn't dtd at the right time. November - didn't use OPK's, only dtd day 12 and 17 which was clearly too early and too late. plus we had a bit of an argument in between because i wanted to dtd and he was poorly, i was very unsympathetic! December - dtd day 13 used opk's and ovulated day 15... so i guess you could say we're on cycle 5 but its massively skewed as its just me wholly on board and we're not dtd enough.... I'm not making excuses but I don't want people to be disheartened by my stats.

I've told my closest friends but they've all got kids already, so don't understand how i feel really. I've told my mum and at first she was a bit rude (oh i conceived straight away... she forgets she was 23, I'm 37!!!), but I chatted to her about it on monday - she could see i was upset and now she's being a lot more supportive which is good... telling me to relax and not worry.... to be fair, mum's are always right.... so I'm trying to chill

It would be different hippy if your OH said he didn't want to have a baby at all and you was going ahead with it regardless! but that's not the case!!! It just seems he's super chilled about the whole situation. I think you're right they don't understand that it's our body and we have a time limit to conceive.

Ok that makes sense, so it's not really 5 cycles as things have come in the way a little bit... Well I could say I'm on cycle 1 but i haven't even had the withdrawal bleed from coming off the pill.. (Think I'm a little bit to enthusiastic) but think I may have ovulated last week! But I should really just wait for a have to turn up before I start counting.

Yeah thats true, I guess they can't understand if they already have children! I'm sure when you talk to your mum on Monday she'll give you lots of good advice.. But I think sometimes people say things without thinking and it may come across rude! But I'm sure your mum wouldn't say something to intentionally hurt you xx xxx

I wouldn't be trying if he didn't want kids, that would be out of order. He really does want them, he's just super chilled, wants a holiday, and knows he'll have to give up his much loved designer clothes!

To be honest, I'm not counting cycles properly until he's fully on board - its only when we're dtd throughout the fertile window that it really can count as a concerted effort.

Nothing wrong with enthusiasm ... I love positivity and enthusiasm... that's what this mission calls for :)

You seem very kind and chilled Amz ..... I like your attitude.... you're right, people do not think about what they're saying or the impact it can have on others. Yeah - my mum's advice is usually spot on :)

hippy Think that's a very good idea not to start counting yet as it will only make you upset and like you said you can only count the cycles you DTD in your FW!!

It's mad how crazy TTC gets you, I spent so long trying not to get pregnant and now that's all I want 😃

Thanks Amz - you're right, its bad enough tracking days each cycle, but tracking the number of cycles is a bit too depressing as it reminds you how long you've been thinking (obsessing about TTC). To be fair, i was fairly relaxed until this last visit from AF, this visit hit me hard, not going to lie.

I'm the same as you mate - spent years praying not to get pregnant and now its all i want too... you're right its crazy.

Happy to keep the positive vibe going and keep you lovely ladies company....

I got Nexplanon removed on 08/12. Had no bleeding on it whatsoever so I've no idea what's going on with my cycle. I'm 26 :)
Had no withdrawal bleed or anything yet, just a lot of bad cramping! Had a positive OPK on the 10th.
Doing my own head in already. Fingers crossed for a place on the Jan bus!
