Thought I'd start the January bus, anyone else hoping for their BFP to welcome in the new year?
My stats are -
Age 23
TTC #2
CD 10
Cycle -- hard to put a number on, been trying a year but have had two losses, 5w and 12w so not sure where to count from.

Thanks ladies! So glad I found this forum, it's lovely having people to talk about the madness with. I've decided I'm going out and enjoying myself and we will see what tomorrow brings.

Motherhippy16 · 13/01/2017 16:10

Charley I'm debating this as well. Have had the most stressful week and could really do with a glass of red but don't know. All my stomach cramps bloating and sore nipples have gone today. Am not due on till 22nd must have ov early this week however dh and I haven't dtd since sunday and am worried that I've missed a crucial day. Grrrrrrrr.... good luck and much love to all x

dannikins · 13/01/2017 16:26

Hello everyone (this is my first post and first bus!). Nice to meet you all! Flowers

I would like to jump on this bus in the hope that it's my last Grin

I took my last combined pill on the 30th of July and my AF was really irregular at first but has become more and more regular each cycle but I have been at a solid 28 days for the last two so fingers crossed that's it settled.

We have only been actively trying for 2 cycles now - I've spent most of the rest of the time trying to figure everything out with cycles and ovulation etc. This cycle is my first one where I have been taking an opks every day and I am yet to see a positive one which is worrying. I tried temping but it's taking me a while to get into the swing of it. We are also using conceive plus for the first time this cycle so fingers crossed.

This baby making business is difficult! Who knew? Hmm

My stats are:
Age: 27 (DH is 29)
TTC: #1
Cycle: 28 days
Current CD: 14
AF due: 27th January (if cycles stay at 28 days)

Addtothechaos · 13/01/2017 16:27

Hey all!

And thanks for the much needed boost and advise *motherhippy! I will keep dosed up on paracetamol to keep this temperature at bay. I keep imagining my little eggs getting heated up a little too much than they appreciate due to this awful fever!

Trying not to think too much into this cycle now as I'm so drained! At 4 DPO and thinking testing from 10dpo with the IC (for the hell of it really!)

Hope all are keeping well and more Bfps to come!! X

powerpuffer · 13/01/2017 18:01

I've been at the back of the bus gazing out the window recently but I'm still here. I found out recently that I'm at risk of redundancy and its made us ponder our baby making plans as I don't have any job security, however I think we are going to carry on and if I get redundancy the payment will cover me for a while. All a bit of a shock and not what I was expecting!

CD12 now and lots of wet CM but I don't usually ovulate until CD18 ish. DH is away next week so we will DTD this weekend and see what happens.

Charley2016 · 13/01/2017 19:05

Mother I wouldn't worry, you probably wouldn't even have implanted yet and it takes a few weeks for the egg to even develop the placenta and feed off you so I would definitely have a wine and relax. You never know, it could be your last for a while. I'm currently drinking champagne and celebrating not having a period for now at least!

Bows85 · 13/01/2017 19:24

Charley - I don't know if this will help, but speaking to your friend about your feelings and ttc on your night out might be the remedy you need!

I had sort of decided to keep the fact that DH and I were actively ttc just between us (although my friends knew it was bound to be on the cards soon). But after feeling really stressed and worried about things a couple of weeks ago, I opened up to two of my closest friends who could not have been more supportive. One has been through it all so knew exactly what I was talking about!

It just made me feel like I had taken a load off my shoulders. My DH is great, but sometimes think it takes someone who's been through it or understands the pressure we put on ourselves to truly understand. My DH is really laid back about it all which is lovely at times, but sometimes you want someone to say "oh my god! I know exactly what you mean". It just helps to make you feel a little bit less insane!

Flowers to ttc, sorry af came. Fx for next month.

I think I am 1dpo today of a very long cycle (hoping my bbt chart confirms this at the weekend). We've DTD at exactly the right times this cycle so let's just hope it's worked Confused

BertieBotts · 13/01/2017 19:41

Think we need a new thread ladies, this one is about to fill up! :)

I have no idea where I am now. Spotting and light cramps so could be AF, could be anything.

Charley2016 · 13/01/2017 19:57

Bows, it's actually my auntie, but there's only 5 years between us and we're like sisters. I've just spilled everything, she kind of knew I was trying as she was bridesmaid and it had been discussed that we would want to try soon. Her and her partner were both told they couldn't and did after 4 months of meeting so sympathetic but doesn't understand. Still no AF or brown CM though...

minime2016 · 13/01/2017 20:10

Evening ladies. Have eventually got a positive opk this afternoon. Was worried it wouldn't turn positive after my chemical last month. I totally relate to the ttc stress-why can't it be straightforward! 😩

Charley2016 · 14/01/2017 00:50

And AF is here! Feel like giving up!

Addtothechaos · 14/01/2017 06:10

Oh no Charley, sorry to hear af turned up. Don't give up though, it will happen! Just grab a seat on the Feb bus I may be joining you next week!

Well I've had no sleep at all. My head feels like lead and everything aches, my throat is on fire and my sinus are about to explode! I had to cancel going a big bday bash Sad

Sorry for the pathetic rant, it's just one hell of a cold lol

Anyway 5dpo now and if I get pregnant this month in the state my body is in I will be very surprised!

Love to all X

Hippychic79 · 14/01/2017 07:16

Morning ladies :)))

TTC - you're welcome, you're so right the support on here is amazing. It's so nice to know that we all understand what each other is going through :)) xxx

MotherH - you're not out yet my friend ... fx xxx

Dann - welcome :)) I did the exact same as you, monitored my cycles for a good few months before 'actively' ish trying to conceive. I say ish because oh doesn't want to properly start trying till later on this year, but I'm 38 on Wednesday and that tick tock clock is getting louder now so I need to crack on! I don't think I was ovulating the first few cycles (was using cheapies with the lines) anyway I started having acupuncture weekly and reflexology every 6 weeks and then started using clear blue digital opks and now I am ovulating - I prefer the definite smiley face for yes as oppose to wondering whether the line is dark enough... I remove the test strips after the result and the line is quite strong just before the smiley face so easy to misjudge if your just viewing the tests with lines. I also take a pregnancy bit with folic acid in it and zinc. You definitely need to take folic acid and not a cheap supermarket one as they don't have enough in (so my nutritionist tells me).

Chaos - hang in there Hun! I've been drained as hell for the last two weeks it's been horrendous but I appear to be coming out the other side now. Paracetamol every 4 hours and lots of rest should do it. Feeling drained has stopped me stressing this month and I'm fully expecting af on Monday which although is irritating as obviously I want to be upduffed, at the same time I have been less stressed as I've kind of accepted it this month already so no symptom spotting and no pissing on £5 notes (unless I'm late of course) :). It's a bad cold this one ... it's a cold with flu symptoms and loads of people have had it. Hope you feel better soon... although I don't think it will prevent you getting upduffed if you've dtd at the right time xxx
Power - don't stress about redundancy Hun - it happened to me a few years ago and in hindsight (which is a glorious thing as we all know) .. it was the best thing that ever happened to me... I have a much nicer job now and am so much happier .... I was in my old job for 10+ years so shitting myself about interviews etc but I only had 3 and then got another job... you'll be fine I'm sure xxx
Bows - fx for you Hun xxx

Hippychic79 · 14/01/2017 07:16

Minime - enjoy lots of baby dancing xxx

Hippychic79 · 14/01/2017 07:17

Charley - sorry af got you FlowersCake xxx

Hippychic79 · 14/01/2017 07:19

Dann - sorry meant vit as in vitamin not bit... should read my message before posting sorry xx

MissMagpie · 14/01/2017 09:40

So sorry AF has arrived for some of you.

I know exactly how you feel. It took me 12 months to conceive my son and I am now on cycle 7 or 8 trying to conceive #2 (not sure that we really tried very hard the first month for several reasons ).

The 2ww and every time AF arrives are do hard emotionally. You just have to keep the faith.

Practically everyone I know who wants to be is pregnant at the moment which is hard. Especially as I know some have been trying a lot less time than me. But it's not a race nor a competition. It will happen - just try not to obsess as stress is the best contraception ever!

MissMagpie · 14/01/2017 09:46

In other news, I ov'd early this cycle compared to last month but luckily was observing with the Clear Blue opks so caught it in time. I think I had a fertile window of no more than 5 days, possibly fewer and dtd 3 times including the day I got peak fertility so we will see what happens. I am on a hen weekend next week so can't not drink but going to drink a lot less than I usually would! Might have to confide in a friend for moral support though and to help me hide it if there are drinking games.

Hippychic79 · 14/01/2017 10:03

Awww missy - I know how you feel about others being pregnant around you, I have a few friends like this at the moment and lots of friends with kids ... it is hard staying happy for them ... at least you already have a ds already to keep you busy and smiling :))
Love your PMA - you're right it's not a race ... we will all get there :)) fx you caught at the right time this cycle - sounds promising :))
I would definitely confide in a friend at the hen wk end ... it's like we can't win ... when you going to be pregnant vs why aren't you getting drunk? So frustrating:))
Xxxx

Calmisthemantra · 14/01/2017 10:22

Hi all. I was on a lot of the earlier busses but haven't posted for a while as was fixating on it too much. But I got my bfp this morning! We've been trying since July and I was starting to worry that I wasn't ovulating as never got a positive opk. But clearly not the case. It was a big surprise as I'd stopped getting excited so when I saw a shadow on a cheapy I broke out the frer and got the bfp. Bit anxious as due on Wednesday so will feel better once I pass that date. I ovulated on 4th Jan but could only dtd a few days before as my dh works away. The only thing I did different this cycle was make sure I drank my 2L a day. Good luck to you all

Hippychic79 · 14/01/2017 16:28

Wow congratulations calm ... that's a lovely story... I've only been on a couple of buses and have only been half trying since September - I say half cuz my oh doesn't want to start trying till later on this year :) but I totally get the fixating thing .... it's hard not to let this tTC lark consume your every thought :))) anyway ramble ramble .... thank you for sharing your story and big congrats again ... here's to a peaceful stress free 9 months for you xxx

minime2016 · 14/01/2017 17:02

Congratulations Calm. Always good to hear of another bfp coming after a spell of trying. We've be trying since getting married in May but properly-properly since sept/oct as I got more tuned into the whole ttc thing. hippy we've given it our best shot lol! Debating whether to squeeze another try in tomorrow just to be sure (poor DH Grin). The tww begins...again!

ttcnovice · 14/01/2017 18:49

Really sorry AF arrived charley SadFlowers don't give up, you'll get there soon xx

Hippychic79 · 15/01/2017 07:24

Well ladies as anticipated af has arrived one day early .... yaaaaay!!!
PMA because I was fully expecting it as we didn't dtd in fw due to colds and as a result I didn't symptom spot or waste my frer's :))
I'm already on the Feb bus but will pop back over as I do love to see bfp's. Good luck to all those in with a chance this month and hoping not to see too many of you on Feb bus (no offence)
Xxx
