Hi all. Hopping on at this stage of the journey from the December bus where my journey has been on a bit of a windy road to say the least. Some of you will know my story...
TTC #1
Cycle 3
CD3

First period at end of cycle 1 lasted for 11 days(!!) Shock, and then just 5 days later (cd16 of cycle 2) I had a really bad bleed which we now think was possibly a chemical pregnancyHmm. Done faint positives last week and this week, latest at CD26/27 then CD28 saw AF arrive again so I'm on to cycle 3 and can only presume the faint positives were wrong readings or something to do with the bleed a week or so before. Confused
I'm going to do a FRER tomorrow or Saturday just to be sure again before I crack open the wine for Christmas as AF has been so so light so still unconvinced.

Fingers crossed to everyone for some lucky Xmas and new year times, and some good news for January 2917??

Booboomoogooboo · 22/12/2016 22:00

Hi, room for one more? Af arrived today and I'm feeling pretty rubbish, was so hoping for a Christmas miracle! I'm nearly 38, Ttc #2 for well over a year now. Have resolved today to go see the gp in the new year to ask about some tests. Just hoping that 2017 is our year! Fx for all of us on the bus 🚌

krakentoast · 22/12/2016 22:12

Welcome new bus passengers! Sorry that AF is making people feel rubbish but we are starting 2017 with a clean slate and anything is possible Smile

I have been symptom-spotting way too much. Yesterday everything seemed to smell and taste different, which I thought was promising... but today I also have a blocked nose and a cough, so it turns out I've just caught DH's cold. Duh. And only on CD18!

Emz01 · 22/12/2016 22:45

Thank you everyone for such a warm welcome!

Itsjustaphase my DS turned 2 last month, how old is your DS? FX it doesn't take too long to conceive another but we will see.

FW for me starts christmas day so already warned DH there will be plenty of DTD next week. Fingers crossed I ovulate when predicted as my cycles so far have both been 25 days.

Hippychic79 · 23/12/2016 06:19

Welcome newbies :)))
Cd 4 for me today and af has nearly finished visiting me .... yaaaaay. Luckily she'll be gone for Xmas and I'm bidding her good bye .... hoping not to see her much in 2017!!!
Happy baby making to everyone over the Xmas and new year .... cheers to some bfp's in 2017 xxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Jellybabie3 · 23/12/2016 07:19

Morning all. My AF has gone too. She only lasted 4 days as opposed to the usual 8! So plenty of dtd and wine for me!! Fx for everyone xx

Hippychic79 · 23/12/2016 09:17

Nice one Jellybabie, 4 days is long enough for the witch to stay!
Have a shagtastic jolly old xmas ... roll on the next stop
xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Amz26 · 23/12/2016 09:32

Welcome newcomers, always room on the bus for a few more 😀

carmen my stats are very similar to you and I'm still waiting for something to happen after coming off the mini pill at the start of December 😁 The only thing that has happened is, I got an almost positive on a OPK but it wasn't that dark, so I'm also a little confused.. I guess I just missed the positive as I've tested a few time since and it was very faint and today there wasn't even a line! So I'm guess I'm in the 2ww.

Sorry to hear that your AF have arrived ladies.. Here's to a great 2017 for everyone!

Xxxx

Jellybabie3 · 23/12/2016 11:39

Haha thanks hippychic i would like to say we are going for the relaxed approach this month but thats more because i am finishing work today, we stocked up on prosecco after my BFNs last month and we have nowhere to be for the next week so plenty of time to 'snuggle up' i have a good feeling about january Grin

trippingoverrainbows · 23/12/2016 11:55

Hi everyone,
I'm completely new to mumsnet and this is also my first post.
babycarmen I am in a similar position, I had my nexplanlon removed on Monday there and TTC baby 1. CD14 for me today but had an unexpected bleed yesterday so really have no clue what is going on now.
Happy baby making everyone :-)

Hippychic79 · 23/12/2016 12:02

Me too Jellybabie ... I hate wishing time away ... but rock on January and more BFP's xxxxxxxxxxxxxx

welcome rainbows xxxxxxxx
Sorry i don't know what Nexplanlon is, so I have no comment xxxx

trippingoverrainbows · 23/12/2016 12:05

Thanks Hippychic79
Nexplanon is the new name for the implanon, the contraceptive implant placed in your arm for up to 3 years xxx

Bubblegum89 · 23/12/2016 12:25

Hi, can I jump on too??

Age: 27
TTC #2
CD10

Had my implant removed on 2/12, was taking the pill up until 10/12 but decided to stop mid-pack (naughty, I know!) Just trying to figure out my cycles although I've always had very regular bleeding/spotting even on bc but with stopping the pill I'm guessing my cycle will have now changed.

I've been pregnant twice before (complications with 2nd preg led to termination Sad ) and both were conceived within 1-2 cycles after stopping the pill. I was told after a recent ultrasound that I may have scar tissue in my uterus although not confirmed, but was told to be aware that this may hinder my chances of getting pregnant but then again it might not (doctors, eh?!) so I'm not hopeful I will be as lucky to conceive easily a third time.

Wishing lots of baby dust to you all :)

ttcnovice · 23/12/2016 13:57

Well AF left me yesterday... only to be replaced with bloody norovirus! Spent the whole night in the bathroom so no DTD for us! Feeling okay today but really achey and a bit sore from all the vomiting Sad.

I guess the silver lining is that it's out of the way before my FW starts! That's as long as DH doesn't come down with it now 😬.

EachPeachPearPlum83 · 23/12/2016 19:45

Hi! Can I jump on the bus?

Age: 33
TTC #2 (dd1 just turned 3)
Cycle 1
CD 17

AF is really unpredictable since having DD - should be due somewhere between 4th and 11th Jan. Makes pinpointing FW tricky so just been trying to DTD as often as possible! DH thinks Christmas has come early!

OvariesForgotHerPassword · 23/12/2016 20:37

I'm not symptom spotting ridiculously early, no siree.

I totally am

Jellybabie3 · 23/12/2016 20:49

Lol ovaries. I have only been off AF for a couple of days and i am already looking out for ovulation twinges.....makes you go abit funny ttc. Yay for Christmas to act as a distraction.....

Im gonna do an opk everyday til AF this time. My new years resolution....100% effort for ttc Smile

Jellybabie3 · 23/12/2016 20:52

Funnily i think OH will be ok with this.

For all those like me that fell off the december bus, just think... theres still a good chance (fx) that we could all have littluns at home this time next year wearing some riduculus elf/reindeer/fairy outfit Grin we can do it....yay! (My motivational speach post wine is done!)

DuRezidal · 23/12/2016 23:38

I am looking like I am about to disembark the December bus so I thought I would stand at the bus stop and wait for the January one to come GrinGrinGrin

I seem to have quite short cycles of between 21 and 25 days normally, so af is due on 29th so will start using the CBFM again next month. It hasn't been that much help this month as I had 10 'high' readings from CD7 and then gave up testing!

harrypotternerd · 24/12/2016 00:47

Can I hop on?
age 27
cd: 7
cycle 6
going to test on the 16th January.
hoping this month is the month

Hippychic79 · 24/12/2016 08:52

Welcome all new passengers :))))
Bring on the bfp's for January
Love your motivational speech jellybabie ...
Let's keep this thread positive ...
PMA from me.....
Lots of grads from December
You ladies are the best ... so lovely, kind, supportive and funny - keep the tmi coming
We all have a loving dh / oh whom we love
Some of us are luckily enough to already have a baby
We can all drink and eat cheese at Xmas
We will all graduate soon

Merry Xmas you lovely lot xxxxxxxx

Babycarmen · 24/12/2016 10:55

Yay for being able to eat all the cheese 😄
I had a positive OPK when I came off the implant on 8/12 and had another positive yesterday. No bleeding at all yet. No idea what's going on with my body!
Regular BD though so OH is happy

Bubblegum89 · 24/12/2016 11:24

I'm supposed to start my fertile window tomorrow of all days. Going to be a challenge finding time to do two OPK's on Christmas Day!

Bubblegum89 · 24/12/2016 11:57

Also quick question (I'm new to OPK's) I took one of these last night and one just now, it's not just my eyes is it, the test line looks stronger on one of the tests? I know they're both still negative but I'm hoping it means I'm getting closer to my LH surge!
