Cycle -- hard to put a number on, been trying a year but have had two losses, 5w and 12w so not sure where to count from.

Sorry ovaries hope you get answers soon.

I am about to hit peak fertility according to ovia. Had loads of ewcm yesterday (sorry tmi) so dtd again last night. Hope im not gonna miss it as have family here tonight 😕 best i can hope for is dtd early hours of new year now. Gutted.

LucyLugosi · 30/12/2016 11:18

Do it quietly rather than miss it Jellybabie!

Jellybabie3 · 30/12/2016 11:23

Thought about it but thin walls.....Confused been doing opks but nothing positive at all despite the ewcm. Feel like they are doing nothing but make me anxious so although i will continue the rest of this month (i have a tonne) i wont bother next (obv hoping for the BFP anyway!!) ewcm seems to have cleared up abit today so maybe i peaked yesterday? Although last month i had AF like cramps which i havent had yet....AARGH this aint easy is it?? Gonna be pushing people out the door after midnight tomorrow for sure. Can you say happy new year now get lost?! Hahaha Wink

LucyLugosi · 30/12/2016 11:34

Oh gosh I'm so confused. I have felt rough for days, period like cramps, bad back ache (which I put down to the uncomfortable bed we stayed in when away one night this week) and so confused. Some of you may know my cycle stories but to recap (and sorry for the tmi)
Stopped bc on 16th October.
Had usual bc withdrawal bleed 21-24 oct
22.11-02.12 had super light but long AF
On 10.12 had really heavy bleed, so bad that I went to urgent care but it stopped as quick as it started as I was told not to worry if I hadn't had a positive test. I had a faint positive FRER a couple of days later and have done a few cheap tests which have shown nothing since.

Then, 20th December until now (ongoing, thought it had stopped yesterday but it hasn't) I've had brown spotting and kind of brown cm when wiping. Not enough for a pad or anything.
Have been reading too much online I'm sure and got it into my head that the spotting could be that I'm pg as this seems to be a common thing.
Decided this morning to stop myself going stir crazy and do another FRER ....

See attached. I can see a line. But wouldn't it be darker by now over a two weeks after the last faint FRER? Does anyone know of anybody who's had faint frers until quite a few weeks in or am I really clutching at straws?

Sorry for the long post..... feeling confused and trying not to get my hopes up.

January bus anyone?
Littlemisssugarplum88 · 30/12/2016 11:53

Could it have been a chemical pregnancy?! Looks as though the hormones are present, but if they haven't developed within 2 weeks I wouldn't have thought that was a good sign.
I could be totally wrong though. Wishing you the best of luck xxx

bluebell17 · 30/12/2016 11:59

Thanks for responding sugarplum. I thought that when I had the big bleed on 10th but would I still be seeing this faint positive (it looks slightly stronger than the one about two weeks ago) over 20 days later? So confused Blush and struggling with not talking to anyone about it as we haven't told anyone we are TTC and I'm sure my dh is sick of me banging on about it all. Hmm

Anna2006 · 30/12/2016 12:23

bluebell I can defiantly see a line there. But would of thought two weeks after the first one it should be a bold positive by now. But then saying that some women randomly for whatever reason never get bold positive even further on into pregnancy. Is it possible you could get in at doctors? Explain an see if they will test your HCG x

BertieBotts · 30/12/2016 12:26

Ovaries if you only had implantation 2 days ago you won't get a positive yet. Try and wait a few more days! Look at the blog post I linked a few pages back.

bluebell17 · 30/12/2016 12:59

Anna, I can't get to dr today. Will have to be after new year unless I go for an emergency appt. Think I'll try a CB digital in the next few days as I've only been using frers recently. Have ordered more tests on amazon as I'm becoming a POAS addict. ShockBlush if nothing has changed in the next few days then I'll perhaps have to get to a doctor.
Thanks for your reply.

Kskifred · 30/12/2016 15:56

I remember your story from the dec bus Bluebell, if the hormone is still present I would have thought that a chemical would have disappeared on a test by now? I would get to the dr asap and get a blood test done, it would be way more accurate in depicting whether your pregnancy is still sticky x

koalaoala85 · 30/12/2016 16:17

Can I hop on the bus?

AF due in 2 days

Hi everyone, been lurking on here like a giant stalker for a few days now and you're all so lovely I want to join! Have put my stats above but I have no idea if they are correct. Have been on the pill for the last 12 years. Stopped taking it at the beginning of December so I have no idea what my body in it's "natural" state is. Am due to test New Years Day but gonna do a cheeky one tomorrow so I know whether or not I can drink at all. I have no early symptoms or anything so I highly doubt it will be positive, might be a nice little surprise though Smile

BertieBotts · 30/12/2016 16:53

Hiya koala! Nice to have you!

Jelly don't worry about that "peak" - there's no such thing as peak fertility, Ovia is a bit misleading in that way. Do you know when you're likely to ovulate?

bluebell - is there anything on that test which says how sensitive it's meant to be? I was reading something not long ago (but long enough for me to lose it...) about how First Response have been producing even more sensitive tests which are actually SO sensitive that they have the potential for false positives, because they show hCG values of around 6. Everyone has some hCG all of the time but under 5 is considered non pregnant. The problem being if you have a high nonpregnant hCG level it may show up as a faint squinter on the extra sensitive FRERs.

This was not the exact article I found before but it does say some similar things.

bluebell17 · 30/12/2016 17:11

Thanks kskifred, sorry if I sound like a broken record. Weird things keep happening. I will see how the next few days go and then go to the drs if I need to in a few days time! Blush

Fingers crossed for you all for those upcoming tests.

bluebell17 · 30/12/2016 17:14

Bertiebotts it's just the usual FRER from boots. I'm out now without the box so not sure about how sensitive it is. I've read that article too - I feel like I've spent the last few days on google trying to decide what to believe. Perhaps I'll try a different test in the next few days. I did have a faint positive on a clear blue and a Morrisons just after the big bleed too though. But haven't tried any others more recently. I have ordered a stock from amazon as I've become a bit of a self confessed POAS addict Grin.

MrsIz · 30/12/2016 17:19

Hello - can I join too please? Also been stalking as everyone seems due at the beginning of the month but I'm right at the end!

My stats are

Age: 33
TTC#1
CD5
AF due 28th Jan
Cycle number 20 or something (I'm a long termer)

First month on opks (forked out for a super expensive CB advanced fertility monitor whatsit) and temping which both seem to be a speciality here! giving it six months before we start ivf.

Also just started using Ovia which I'm not convinced by yet.

Mummymathsteacher · 30/12/2016 18:47

Joining the bus!

Age: 28
TTC #2
Cycle 1

Came off Cerelle three weeks ago so cycle is still a mess. Already impatient and just want to know where I am!

MissyJones83 · 30/12/2016 19:05

Think I might be on Jan bus the way I feel today ah well...no af yet but guessing she will come visit tomorrow meh Sad

trippingoverrainbows · 30/12/2016 19:13

Welcome mummy and mrs SmileI also lurked for quite a while also!
mrs I'll keep my fingers crossed for you that the opks is the help you're looking for and let you get the bfp before you go down the ivf route.
I wasn't planning on using them just tracking cycles and tying to dtd as often as possible but I suspect I'm being a bit naive hereConfusedConfused perhaps this is something I need to consider too as it seems a lot of ladies on here are taking a more scientific approach

colourmylife · 30/12/2016 19:13

I finally caved and bought a clear blue digital ovulation test. Has anyone had a static smiley face (peak fertility) on the first day they tested? I thought they needed at least a day to detect normal hormone levels as how would they know if i have had a hormone surge otherwise?
The instructions do say if surge is detected on the first day of testing then a static smiley face would show, but how could this be?

trippingoverrainbows · 30/12/2016 19:44

Something curious I've noted...downloaded both ff and ovia and input the exact same info and they are coming up with different predicted ovulation days?!?

Wingingit88 · 30/12/2016 20:03

Massively symptom spotting here at the moment but I have really bad lower back ache I generally feel a bit eugh. I'm working on the 1st so I'll probably end up testing for the fun of it (I'm a nurse..can pinch a test from work) it's stilly really as I know it's too early to show!

MotherofUnicorns · 30/12/2016 20:03

I'm still straddling the 2 buses but i think i am well and truly on the Jan bus now as i got a BFN on a CB digi this morning.
Spent the whle 3 hour drive home form my mums pondering and i was still confued about the sore boobs and cramps so did an opk when i got back and saw a strong positive. I am cd24 (!) so not sure what is going on but i am back with dh tonight so it is his lucky night!!
Good luck everyone testing over next few days xx
