Thought I'd start the January bus, anyone else hoping for their BFP to welcome in the new year?
My stats are -
Age 23
TTC #2
CD 10
Cycle -- hard to put a number on, been trying a year but have had two losses, 5w and 12w so not sure where to count from.

I'm CD10 today and have had the weirdest lightest AF that has hardly been there but only just gone away today after ten long days. Now I've got cramps, like period pain, and I feel miserable, and emotional. Totally confused. Would FW or the forthcoming ovulation make me feel this way? I feel like I've got PMS symptoms all over again. Hmmmm. Hmm

Bows85 · 29/12/2016 21:25

Hi everyone Smile
Haven't been on here much recently due to Christmas.

Stats are:
TTC1
CD 16
Cycle 2
AF due ? (Have had a range of cycle lengths since stopping the pill at the end of Aug)
AF ended about a week before Xmas and now I'm just waiting for the elusive +ve OPK (came around cd 21 last cycle)

Feeling pretty rubbish at the minute. My SIL is about to drop a baby bomb on us (she thinks we don't know, but I am 99% sure it's coming). I don't think they can have been ttc for very long so I am feeling very envious. I know we've only just started trying but I'm now convinced it's going to take us ages. Why am I thinking like this?! It's awful. I want to feel happy for my SIL but I am feeling down about it. Anyone else been in this position that can offer any advice?

Paperdove87 · 29/12/2016 21:29

Oops I think my phone is stopping me from writing the word pregnant-superstitious? Oregon and prefigured should both have been that! Haha!

Tripping Ovia is an app. Not sure how accurate it is for me so I'm using fertility friend too, but I like the amount of detail it records. The tips are weird though! I've been told to eat ginger.

Babycarmen · 29/12/2016 21:30

Rainbows when did you get Nexplanon removed? I had mine taken out on 08/12 and no withdrawal bleed or anything yet.. but I had a positive OPK on the 23rd..
have you had bleeding or anything? Curious! Blush

trippingoverrainbows · 29/12/2016 21:47

Thanks paper I'll maybe check it out once I see how I get on with ff, although not sure about its ginger tip! baby I got it out on the 19th Dec, had my first period with it on the 10th dec and had a bleed around 3 days after getting it removed. I have no clue what to expect though and whether the bleed once it came out is a good thing or not?!? Have you had nothing yet?

Supper16 · 29/12/2016 22:14

Hi Rainbows it's a funny feeling ttc isn't it? In my teenage years - before I was sexually active, so pre pill - I remember being concerned about discharge in my knickers (sorry tmi). On reflection I think that was just my cycle - 'school glue' and 'egg white' CM. It's only since learning about conception 15 years later I've realised what I was so worried about!

Hi birthday twin babycarmen! Yes wouldn't that be just the best gift?! I have so many family birthdays in Jan (cousin 10th, Grandma 18th, Mum 19th, Dad 20th, myself 25th) I'd prefer to avoid a baby arriving in Jan. I think that would mean conception in April - I'll see how I feel about that if we're still trying by then!

bluebell17 · 29/12/2016 22:48

Supper - I know totally what you mean. I used to freak out about everything. Now at least I understand it all properly. Well, I'm trying.

GamLJ · 29/12/2016 22:51

Hi all,
CD30
11DPO
I've been having AF type pains for the last two days. I'm due AF 2nd Jan.
Today I've noticed my undies are wet with CM. it's like creamy lotion type CM.
I did a PG test this AM and it was BFN.
The cramps are still there as is the CM.
I don't usually get CM before AF I'm usually dry down there.
Any thoughts here ? I know I probably tested too early too :/

krakentoast · 29/12/2016 22:57

I know we've only just started trying but I'm now convinced it's going to take us ages. Why am I thinking like this?! It's awful.

This is exactly how I feel too Bows. Just anxiety/pessimism? I wish there was an easy way to chill out and put it out of mind.

Supper I remember thinking that when I was a teenager too, about discharge and thinking there must be something wrong - doesn't say much for sex education in this country does it (but there's no such thing as tmi on this thread!)

Isthisusernamefree · 29/12/2016 23:20

Hi all, can I jump on? I was on the December bus but after a good week of messing with my head, AF turned up 7 days late.

TTC1
CD23
Cycle 2 after last MC
AF possibly due 14th Jan

I could do with some advice about this cycle though! So usually (pre-miscarriage #2) my cycle was consistently 32 or 34 days long with, I think, fairly late ovulation, definitely in the CD20's, but can't be too accurate as I haven't started temping yet.

But this month, 6 days after AF had ended, I had a lot of EWCM for 3 days so on day 8 after AF stopped I took an ov test cheapie and the line was as dark as the control line - is it possible to ov that soon after your period ends? If so it would be very very unusual for me. Ovia says I should be right in the middle of my fertile week today, but my CM is creamy and my ov test was a barely there line...

I think i'm just going to have to start temping to be sure of these things, but any help or experiences with weirdly timed EWCM and ov testing would be greatly received!!

hmyh23 · 29/12/2016 23:41

@krakentoast @Bows85 I'm in the same position, this is 2nd/3rd cycle for us soon reason to worry but I just have a nagging uneasy feeling about it. Doesn't help that my two best mates at work got lucky in their first cycles.

Paperdove87 · 30/12/2016 00:15

Hi Gams! Maybe wait a few days and then test again if no AF? Fingers crossed!

User sorry to hear about your MC. I know that cycles can be a bit weird post MC. Not sure about ov that early though. Maybe temping would be a good idea to try to pinpoint ov...

I really wish I'd been given a bit more useful info about my cycles in school. Feel like I don't know any of this stuff-it's quite a learning curve. They made it seem so easy to get preggers it was easy to get paranoid!

Bubblegum89 · 30/12/2016 01:03

Question: if I got a positive opk on Monday and Tuesday along with a lot of cramping and ovary pain and small amounts of wet, watery cm, yesterday got negative opks and less cramping and today light cramping but no cm (vajayjay seems very dry!) does that mean I possibly ovulated yesterday or today? I'm only using Ovia and opks at the minute, no bbt so I'm trying to figure out when I might have actually ovulated

Kskifred · 30/12/2016 01:24

Jan bus!

I'm secretly hoping for a Dec ny bfp though, may do a cheeky test on Saturday. Af due 5th x

EnteredRest · 30/12/2016 02:30

Hi everyone!

I would love to come onboard the January bus too...
Trying for number 2 after successfully convincing dh '4 years' was more than enough gap between children. He probably just hasn't fully recovered from #1 yet. Grin
I'm 30 and this is my first cycle.

Fingers crossed for us all!

EnteredRest · 30/12/2016 02:32

Oh, and I am due af between the 1st and 5th of Jan (fluctuating cycles between 28-33 days)

OvariesForgotHerPassword · 30/12/2016 04:52

BFN and gutted :( I've had all the symptoms and textbook implantation bleeding 2 days ago. I don't get it :(

36plusandtrying · 30/12/2016 06:25

Hi all !

I'd like to join, but apologies as don't know all the shorthand - but will try !
36 - been off implant one year, but only trying since sep. period due on Christmas Day - thought I'd had implantation bleeding and cramps 10 days after ovulation. But period came 3 days late - and was agony ! Bled heavily over night - but then nothing. Had cramp for about 1 week and feeling generally shit ! Any advice ? Fingers crossed this is my month coming up Smile

Hippychic79 · 30/12/2016 06:57

Hi 36 - I'm also 36+ and tTC number one since sept. My main issue is that my oh(other half) doesn't want to start properly trying until May, grrrr! Plus he works loads and so dtd a lot is out the question, which leaves me having to time the tackle. My personal advice is track your cycles (I have made my own spreadsheet but have also been using glow and more recently Ovia which are apps). I have been taking supplements since September (a pregnancy multi essential vitamin which contains folic acid and zinc recommended by my naturopath) also giving me other half a multi vitamin for men and zinc. I eat healthy (organic) 85% of the time, drink lots of water and am also having weekly acupuncture. I've recently started using opks, clear blue digital which although are pricey, they give a definite yes or no (smiley face of just a blank circle, obviously smiley equals ovulating). Tips I've learnt from the lovely ladies on here - started eating pineapple and wearing bed socks - very sexy! The reason it's taking me a while is because I'm not dtd (doing the deed) enough and I haven't done it at quite the right time yet.
The main advice i would give though - is stay positive and remember we are all on different journeys and with the same destination and it's not a race... everyone on here has very different circumstances. That said - we're all here to support each other which is great if like me, all your friends have already had kids and according to them conceived easily :))))))
Good luck - hope this helps xxx

bluebell17 · 30/12/2016 08:36

36plus is it possible that wasn't AF? But another type of bleed? Or are your periods like that usually? I had a mid cycle bleed, lots of bright red blood and some clots (tmi sorry) but didn't last long. Have had to put it down to something 'not sticking' as it was at cd16 and then I had af at cd28. Very strange.

Kskifred · 30/12/2016 08:44

I have the mother of all stinking colds and cough today. According to FF i'm 8dpo but think i'm more likely 7dpo. Started testing this am, think there is something squintey but it's not got colour to it (pink dye test) so not getting excited yet as it's really more a trick of the eye/evap. Too early if suspect only 7dpo anyway but turns out ttc likes me to literally pee on my money unnecessarily...at least it's payday!

Kskifred · 30/12/2016 08:45

Speaking of which, anyone know any good Post xmas bogofs and deals for hpts?

LucyLugosi · 30/12/2016 09:17

Hi Supper and TrippingOverRainbows!

So nice there are people like me.
I've started my bleed! Finally! Just spotting so far but it's what I'm used to on my 7 day break!
So excited to be able to get going soon.

We're going to DTD every other day this month anyway even though BFP unlikely.

I've been on the pill since I was 15 but at least I have my zinc tablets to take now so my routine doesn't feel too bizarre!

AFireInside · 30/12/2016 09:58

Officially entered the 2ww now. 'Tis going to be a loooong 2 weeks. symptom spotting like crazy

Hippychic79 · 30/12/2016 10:21
