MissMagpie · 24/12/2016 20:54

I am also tentatively booking myself onto this bus as I think AF is going to arrive any moment. Feeling quote down actually. Especially as I have to spend tmrw with my pregnant sister-in-law who just moans about how awful pregnancy is all the time. It hasn't stopped her getting pregnant with her 2nd before me though!

Morning!
TTC#3.
I have pcos and my cycles are 5-6 weeks long. I think I'm due to ovulate. Had a bit of spotting and my last period was 3 weeks ago. I was very lucky and conceived first month with both kids so I'm keeping everything crossed than January is our month

Wingingit88 · 26/12/2016 09:20

I forgot to add this is our first cycle

MrsC1982 · 26/12/2016 16:44

I have a great seat for you Ohb0llocks but it's beside me and forgive my alcohol breath... take full advantage of Boxing Day now Grin

MissyJones83 · 26/12/2016 16:56

Due to test on NYE or maybe NYD but want to test earlier...going to wait though!

Supper16 · 26/12/2016 17:15

Hello all I am hopping on the bus. This is also my first forum post after lots of lurking.

Age: 29 (nearly 30)
Ttc: #1

Had planned to start ttc in Spring but had chat with DH on Xmas Eve and he said well there's never going to be a 'perfect time' is there, so we agreed to just get cracking instead Smile So I've stopped combined pill mid pack (because I am impatient) and anticipate withdrawl bleed in a few days. Been on pill best part of 8 years so not sure how long cycles will take to settle. Been long time since I had a smear test too so gonna get a nurse appt in the next week or so to make sure all down below is peachy.

Feels wierd to be about to actively try to get preggers after so many years preventing. I still feel 16 years old!

ns1348 · 26/12/2016 17:46

Merry Christmas everyone!

Welcome to all the Christmas newbies Smile

Supper special welcome as you're new to this: hope your cycle settles asap, and yey for ttc, stressful as it can be.

DuRezidal unless AF has come full flow spotting need not be a bad thing? It's something I personally am hoping to avoid as last cycle spotted for 7 days before AF came (from 3dpo), but could indicate implantation bleed depending on how many dpo you are?

My Christmas/cycle achievement is therefore simply making it to 5dpo without spotting: next hope is to have a slightly longer cycle/luteal phase than the 24/10 days last time: telling myself it's alright to not be preggers at this point as I've already made progress on last cycle.

MissyJones I'm due to test NYD too, assuming AF hasn't put in an appearance by then. So it'd be cool to check in with each other.

I've managed to symptom-spot less constantly over last couple of days, having DH home (and Xmas) to distract helpful for that, but can't help but wonder about occasional cramps and nausea this evening, whilst trying to stay vaguely realistic.

Hope everyone else who's due to be testing fairly soon is doing ok!

Kirsty8333 · 26/12/2016 18:46

I'm due to test the 3rd Jan. I'm so impatient and wish it would hurry up. I've got mixed feelings this month as we managed to dtd 2 days prior and on the day of positive ovulation test but not the next day. We then dtd a further two days after that. I'm so disappointed we missed that one crucial day. I've been having a few glasses of wine over the xmas period to cheer myself up. Also don't want to get my hopes up.
