Thread 22. TTC #1 - The one where the BFPs rolled in & long may it continue

Calling all Clomid-ers, Femara-ers, OPK-ers, temp-ers, IUI-ers and anyone else on the TTC Bus.

We are long past cervix prodding (in fact we know where it is at any given time just by closing our eyes) and we have ditched the Gregorian calendar in favour of the TTC Cycle Day calendar. We don't do baby dust, or baby-dancing, we just keep legs spread and fingers crossed (LSFX). We love a baby bomb from a prior bus-mate, but if we get told to 'just relax and enjoy it' ONE MORE TIME you will get a punch in the face. You get kwick-cake if you behave, and talked down from the ledge when you need it.

Hop on board, post your stats and prepare to be dazzled by the wealth of TTC knowledge we long-timeys have to share....

mouse my digital HPT looked exactly the same this morning it was a bit embarassing at the clinic when they asked me what day I tested and I fessed up to repeated testing from 29th...

So I had Beta test done - am defo preggers - although have to retest on Friday as HCG on the lowside but the good news is that progesterone is at correct level - so no up the jacksie pessaries or intramuscular injections - just up the fanjo gel twice a day...

PS I hope the HCG result is nothing to worry about kwick and it does what it's supposed to do by Friday. Could you just have quite a low level to start with so it's taking time to get going?

kwick great news about your progesterone! Don't stress over the beta, it has to start somewhere, right? It's the doubling time over 48 hours that's important so fx your beta on Friday is huge

I turned 30 yesterday so enjoyed seeing it in with a glass (or 5...) of champers! Now to detox January and first month TTC!!! Just waiting for AF to arrive - for once looking forward to it!

I haven't been temping or using OPKs so I quite frankly have no clue if I have ovulated or not. I did experience definite ovulation pains when I was predicted to ovulate, however.
Is it worth temping & doing OPKs? I was going to this cycle but have been recommended not to obsess over TTC and let nature take its course? Not sure I agree!
Oh and hope you had a good bday harriet.

kathrino yes it was i was going tp add some to the Ella's energy balls which i usually roll in coconut as that might hide the taste!! Besides healthy "chocolate" is always a win win event.

it's been a busy few days we were staying with friends when it happened , then went to my gran's house and yesterday drove up to the inlaws. We're finally on our way home now. I need some time to absorb it and think about my grandma. All I can see at the moment is her as she was at the end. I need to remember the vivacious attractive fun and mischievous woman she was.

I wish TTC was a positive distraction from all this but it just makes me sadder. Can't shake the underlying feeling that I'm never going to get pregnant 😔
