That's a faint positive in my book!!!!

ThirdThoughts · 12/12/2016 07:47

Glad your test was good and strong this morning Writer :) its a shame you feel you need to ditch the interview, but you know whats right for your health. Whatever reason you give, try to leave the door open to you applying in future x

CD 35, temp still raised no sign of period yet. I'm aware of my body and imagining pulling sensations but no idea if real and if so, whether an early indication of pregnancy or period. Happy in the uncertainty for now. I'm taking prenatal vitamins anyway and I don't usually have anything I wouldn't in pregnancy anyway. I'll give my period till later in the week to turn up before testing I think.

ThirdThoughts · 12/12/2016 07:48

Oooh Lynsey! :)

StephyJane · 12/12/2016 08:06

I'm out for 2016 Angrythe witch has arrived.

DH is convinced there's something wrong. We really couldn't have done anymore this month, we DTD every day of FW! But I keep telling him it's still early days, for it to happen this early would mean we had a lot of luck on our side.

So onto cycle 3.

Writerwannabe83 · 12/12/2016 08:11

stephy - I'm sure I've read somewhere that DTD every day is actually detrimental because the sperm can't replenish themselves very well at such a quick turnover and so their quality isn't as good. I'm not sure how true that is though but it may be something worth researching?

I think generally DTD every other day is seen as optimal or even just 2-3 times over the 6 days of the fertile period.

Sorry you're out and best of luck next cycle Flowers

ThirdThoughts · 12/12/2016 08:28

Sorry Stephy, Best of luck for 2017

Unfortunately even with DTD at the right time it isn't a sure thing, but it doesn't mean there is anything wrong as such.

BertieBotts · 12/12/2016 08:33

Writer, that was debunked but does apply if your partner has identified sperm issues.

Even if you get it at the right time it's only something like a 20-30% chance you'll conceive each month, Stephy, so don't worry!

Lynsey, yay!

Kski, thinking of you, hope you are okay.

DrRBannerx · 12/12/2016 09:04

Sorry I've been M.I.A from here for two weeks, AF got me down and also step dad died, hoping the stress doesn't rule me out for this month too. AF due 31St x

Kskifred · 12/12/2016 09:26

congrats Lynsey!

I will keep an eye on myself over the next few days and make an appointment with my gp if i get any worse. A small part of me is praying it stops today and is just a hiccup.

writer i'm so pleased for you - all that revising has come to nothing in the most beautiful way possible Grin

I feel quite sick today and ridiculously tired, i think i'm washed out still from everything yesterday. Roll on home time x

Jellybabie3 · 12/12/2016 09:32

Morning all, despite AF cramps all over weekend (again) she still hasnt arrived....im hanging on til 15th....Smile

MrsG280516 · 12/12/2016 09:44

Congrats Lynsey that's a BFP to me!

lynseyc83 · 12/12/2016 09:52

Going to do another test in 2 days to be sure .
Since July when my daughter was still born I've struggled with my cycle and cramps so I'm hopefully

Bows85 · 12/12/2016 12:07

I love all the BFP pics Smile Huge congratulations to you all.

I'm feeling a bit crap today. Got the Monday blues, especially as DH is still away with work. It's only cycle 1 of ttc for me but just feeling like it's not my month. No out of the ordinary symptoms for me, apart from having zero appetite (not feeling sick, just not hungry). Because of the lack of sore boobs/sickness/fatigue etc, I am convinced AF will soon rear her ugly head.

I honestly didn't think I would get like this so early in the process! I thought I'd be really chilled with a "what will be, will be" sort of attitude. But that's not happening right now! No one knows we're trying so I can't speak to anyone about it.

Sorry for the moan Blush

MissMagpie · 12/12/2016 12:27

Just catching up from the weekend...

writer congratulations! So happy for you after a difficult few months on other buses. Look after yourself! Can't wait to hear how your DH reacts to his Christmas present.

So sorry to everyone who has got BFNs or their AFs. Hope you can enjoy some festivities laced with alcohol and soft cheese instead.

I am approaching my fertile week I think. Have EWCM today but have tested not fertile on the Clear Blue ovulation test, which I am using for the first time this month. I think it would be early for me to ovulate on CD18 (for a cycle of 33-37 days) so am wondering if now I have been dtd at the wrong time previous months because I have been guided by EWCM. It will be interesting to see what happens later this week.

88claire · 12/12/2016 12:49

Congratulations to everyone whose got their positive results! I'm getting really annoyed with my long cycle and not knowing when I'm ovulating.. So I have no idea when to test or expect a period.... Anyone else have this problem? Confused

MrsG280516 · 12/12/2016 12:50

Motherhippy16 · 12/12/2016 20:30

Hello all. Congrats for for those with bfps. I went to the Dr's for a blood test 4 days before last af (28/11) and I got a bfn the day I was due. Went to the Dr's for the results today and although I'm Def not pg I am Def ovulating which is good news so soo after finishing the pill. So hubby and I are dtd all this week as ov between the 13/15....Lots of baby dust to all x x. X x

Lovechild2016 · 12/12/2016 20:50

DrRBannerx so sorry to hear you've had a difficult time. Thinking of you and hoping you will be bringing the new year in with some happier news xxx

Kskifred · 13/12/2016 10:36

Whilst I'm a little in limbo atm, I'm trying to rule myself out now mentally and concentrate on next cycle - I wondered if anyone had any suggestions on safe progesterone increase? I have a feeling I implanted late this month and I do have a fairly short luteal phase which might be why I have had issues this cycle.

Any suggestions/successes welcome!

bluesdetoi · 19/12/2016 16:10

Hi guys,

Ive been kinda quiet for the past few weeks cause I thought this bus had passed for me. We barely managed to BD all month and Ive been feeling like AF is coming for days. I just did a strip test because I'm a lunatic. I'm not due AF until Wednesday.

And here's what I got. Is this a squinter ladies? Ive gone blind from looking at it. Husband isnt home yet so i haven't wanted to bother him with it. Usually all I see is the starkest white, and this is looking different...

Do you see anything?

December Bus (all I want for Christmas is... a baby!)
Kskifred · 19/12/2016 18:51

yes that's a squinter i would say. Try fmu with another strip, or better still frer?

BertieBotts · 19/12/2016 19:05

Blues, you need to join us on the new thread, this one will stop accepting new posts soon.

Sorry I can't load the picture, on mobile

Tibbycat · 31/12/2016 08:58

Hello! Over joyed to shared I got a BFP... so much to say... was told I wasn't ovulating and had a hormone imbalance by a gyno consultant on the 20/12. That I was 35 and old in terms of fertility. Referred me to the Wessex Fertility Clinic which was a shocker. HE WAS SO WRONG!! So I had my copper coil removed 2nd Dec and was beyond shocked to see a BFP on the 21/12... it was faint and only the FR tests showed a faint pink line. The cheap tests showed nothing a week on. Coincidentally I had a scan booked in to check for cysts on the 23/12... explained the BFP and the ultrasound found nothing --- cysts or pregnancy. Just a thin lining which she said 'may not be enough for a baby for imbedding and she can't see anything anyway' ... wrong again! So enjoyed Christmas with all the trimmings, considered the line an evap line and phoned Wessex Fertility yesterday, no answer and they were close...must have been a good omen (p.s. Stopped drinking now!!) ANYWAY... I booked in a GP appointment for 29/12. Explained all and he wanted to do a blood HCG test (just to be sure) and check out my thyroid. So yesterday, we're with friends, champagne in hand having fun when the GP calls to say the HCG are at an established pregnancy level, congratulations!! Champagne down the drain and total shock. I even said, could it be a chemist pregnancy after everything that's gone on.. no, too high. Nothing on the scan because it was so early. Test getting darker now... couldn't help but do some as soon as I got in and this morning, just pinching myself. Cheap test still faint, just like my first son was ... faint until so far on. Everyone is so different. Only fail safe is the GP and a blood test. He wants to run another HCG test week just to check its rising after all I've been through this month but I'm still in total shock, lots of twinges and twanging pain downstairs at the moment, just like my son!

Moral of the story... CONSULTANTS CAN EVEN GET IT WRONG!

So I'm considered 4 weeks and 1 day pregnant. Bean is the size of a poppy seed and the gestational sack is just starting to grow. What a crazy Christmas and an emotional rollercoaster!

Hang in there ladies.
