Hey Mouse

It's good you had it checked out. Will be good for you to get an accurate diagnosis and hopefully stop you stressing too much. Hope it's easily treatablen what ever it is! Did the Dr not suggest a pg test yet?
X

MouseLove · 18/10/2016 13:08

Nope Heather to be honest he didn't mention it and neither did I. I just hope it's not arthritis if I'm honest. I think my cycle is just going to be a bit longer than usual.

Eva30 · 18/10/2016 13:26

mouse he sounds like a good GP. I've only been at mine 6 months but not impressed so far. It's good he's doing the tests and will give you some answers. Keep us updated with it

MouseLove · 18/10/2016 18:09

Oh Eva that was the very first appointment at a new doctors!! My other one that I've been with since birth was rubbish for getting appointments and just recently stopped the one late evening they were open. As someone who works it was almost impossible to get a simple nurses appointment.

Pyjamas81 · 18/10/2016 18:59

Sounds like a great GP mouse, hope it all clears up soon. It's luck of the draw with my GP practice, I've never seen the same person twice. Last time I went was before we started properly TTC to ask about Zika as we'd just got back from a badly affected area and to talk about my chances of getting a c-section if we did conceive (have severe fear of childbirth, always have for many reasons and it's something I've researched a lot). She was lovely, put the request in my notes for when the time comes and didn't make me feel silly. It's amazing what a difference a considerate gp can make.

7dpo here and not a single symptom - feel totally normal. Which is annoying, as I want to go to the pub but I'm trying to be good during the 2WW for once!

Tried crochet for the first time today - addictive much?! Just one more row...

MouseLove · 18/10/2016 19:06

Oh pjs it's great when you get a great GP. I probably have the opposite fear about childbirth as I'd absolutely hate to have a c-section, it would be my worse nightmare. I'd love a natural unmedicated birth at home but I doubt that's going to be an option.

Pyjamas81 · 18/10/2016 19:40

It's amazing how unique we all are - even reading that mouse made me feel really panicky! You never know, what you want may be possible! I know I'm massively jumping the gun - but it was really a deal breaker before we even decided to TTC.

bassetmum · 18/10/2016 19:41

Haha pjs. Crochet is so much fun!! Been a long day at work today, been in a first aid course. Although i have learnt some more about first aid for babies and children too by accident. Im only 2-3dpo so nothing to declare here

Hey ladies

Can I get some quick advice from the ladies in the ovulation know... I have posted in here a few times that I use an app called my calendar. It said I would ovulate on Tuesday (today).

I tested everyday last week until my positive on Sunday so I could get to know my cycles. That should be in line with the app, so positive Sunday - 24 to 48 hours before ovulation today. However when I input my positive result on Sunday, it changed that to ovulation day and today's chances are now "medium". I don't really understand that, if today is ovulation day (because LH is detected before the egg is released) surely today the egg is available for the taking and therefore a highly fertile day.

I'm just trying to understand this better as it's my first try. I think I managed to cover the window with DTD just in case

MoonlightMojitos · 18/10/2016 20:36

heather I think the egg only survives about 12 hours so today would be medium because you could miss it and it takes a few hours for the sperm to actually swim up there. You're most fertile the 2 days before so the sperm are ready and waiting when it's released. That's what I gather anyway but I'm no expert! It's not right for it to change the peak lh day to ov day though as you say.

Glad you got a good doctor mouse and hopefully you'll get some help soon. It's not nice living with something like that I know. When mine are bad it's makes life so difficult. I don't even want to leave the house incase something happens and I fall over. Fx it's something easily treatable.

pj glad you've got a new hobby, that should hopefully make the 2ww pass faster! When will you test?

I've passed my 'danger point' of mc from last time so that's a good start :). Going to book an early scan for next week and then I might be leaving you girls if everything is going as planned. Equally excited and crapping my pants anxious.

I've just watched the girl on the train and was so disappointed:(! Loved the book but not the film one bit.

Pyjamas81 · 18/10/2016 21:35

I'm supposed to test on the 26th (14dpo) mojitos, but, the end of next week is going to be really high pressure at work and I really can't be distracted (whatever the result) so I'm going to wait until the weekend (17dpo) if I can - can't say I'm not giving AF a fair chance to show up!

So glad to hear you're past the 'danger point' fx for your scan! I've decided not to bother going to see girl on the train, hate it when films ruin books! I felt the same way about gone girl, and I actually threw things at the telly with the kite runner.

That doesn't sound right to me either heather - I can't remember, are you temping as well? Temps would confirm ovulation.

MouseLove · 18/10/2016 22:53

Awww Moonlight glad you are past the danger point. I think this is a sticky one and I'm sure you'll see on the scan. How exciting. Thank you for your comments, it's horrible isn't it, I fall over a lot too, sorry you're in the same boat.

Pyjamas I think it's sensible waiting. That's how I feel now, I've given AF time to show her face. She's not here by Saturday and that's it. I'm giving in and POAS haha. I'll be CD37 with no idea of DPO on Saturday.

I'm thinking if AF isn't here Thursday I might order a FRER from Amazon (do they differ wildly in price to those sold in the shops?? Is that what I should get?) for me to use first wee on Saturday. Knowing my luck AF will show Friday lol.

Pyjamas81 · 18/10/2016 23:16

Yes, FRERs are good mouse and I haven't seen much difference in price on Amazon - and they'll deliver it which means I don't have to worry about people seeing it in my bag at work! I've had AF show up as soon as I've POAS before - what a bitch.

OHMoll · 19/10/2016 07:58

Hi,

I am new here. Looking a bit of advice. This is our first month ttc. Took two hpt one on Sunday and one this morning both negative but been feeling like I could be pregnant. My AF not due till this Sunday. Am I testing too early. Sorry if it's a bit off topic. I am 36 and this is our first time trying. Any advice would be great. Thanks in advance! Smile

LisaSimpsonsbff · 19/10/2016 08:27

Glad to hear you're feeling calm and reassured Mouse. My first cycle post (hormonal) coil was 36 days - it's hard when you don't know what to expect, isn't it? I hadn't had a period at all in three years, so it was a shock all round!

Welcome, Moll! I think you are too early - I think even a First Response is only at all accurate from about four days before period is due. I think I'd wait until this weekend to test - fx that that gives result you want.

On my work trip (home late Saturday) and just got a load of EWCM. A-bloody-gain! I think my body must actively like ovulating in slightly dingy chain hotel rooms 200 miles from DH...

Monkeyandthebear · 19/10/2016 09:18

Hey ladies,

Pj loving the crotchet! After a weekend of scrapping paint off a bannister my hands were too sore to knit, but got back to it last night.

Lisa I can sympathise with the bad timing. Looks like my DH will be in France in our next fw. Although we are planning a weekend away at the end of that week, so maybe timing will work ok. When are you back home?

I am on Cd29 and no sign of AF. My longest cycle was 38 days and last cycle was 36 with spotting from 34. Based on ewcm though I think my cycle could be back to a more normal 30-31. Still holding off on testing though. Mouse I am aiming for this weekend too. Trying not to cave early.

Heatherbaby · 19/10/2016 10:20

Thanks for the advice moonlight and pyjamas

Think I've done ok for dtd timing this morning so about to enter 2ww with baited breath!

Eek good luck to the weekend testers :)

bassetmum · 19/10/2016 11:38

Heather the apps work from an average point of view. I use three different tracking apps who have all said differ things regarding my fw off my symptoms which have been the same for all three.

Mojitos glad you have passed your danger point. It will be sad to see you go but at least its for the best reason ever!! Fx for your scan.

Pjs that sounds a good plan re testing. I think I be should testing on the 30th so will see how I get on.

Moll i think you are possibly testing a little bit early.

Ive woken up today with two horrendously itchy eczema patches on my arm. Not a good look. Risked some hydrocortisone cream this morning think there's a very small to non existent chance implantation could have occurred already.

Good luck to the girls testing at the weekend. Fx for some bfps.

ymmv · 19/10/2016 11:42

I think I'll be another weekend tester. I've ordered some cheap tests off amazon.

I'll be a week overdue on the AF front by friday. I had all the ovulating signs at my usual time so was expecting my usual 31 day cycle. However! looking back at my cycle I've had a a few in the late 30s and less in the 40s but one was 61 days. I've been ill and I'm pretty sure I took an (illegal) drug cocktail that throws my cycle off. Not been temperature charting so it's all knowledgeable guesswork.

I have been crocheting though. Smile Making an advent calendar of stockings.

Eva30 · 19/10/2016 11:48

Welcome moll how many dpo are you? Have you come off birth control pill/implant etc? I was convinced I was pg first month but the symptoms are now just my regular pre-AF symptoms!

Cd4 of cycle 7 and AF is still here - that's longer than any cycles before. I am taking this as a good sign but no idea why.

OHMoll · 19/10/2016 12:15

Thank you for your advice ladies. Trying to not worry. I am 11 Do and AF due in 4 days. Last AF was on 21St September and average CD is 32. I have never taken birth control or had the implant. Have had cramps for over a week now. Also sore back and hips and in bed for 10 most nights recently. I have myself convinced it's something positive but my DH thinks I am imagining symptoms to make me think I am pg. He is trying to be supportive but doesn't want me to get hopes up.

ymmv · 19/10/2016 12:26

Also I've missed a bunch, obvs not mastered MN yet.

pleased for you mojitos sending support vibes still tho innit.

and LisaSimpsonsbff maybe you're developing a thing for slightly dingy hotel rooms? perhaps research ones nearer your DH...

florafoxtrot · 19/10/2016 13:22

Same here OHMoll - I've not been on birth control for about 6/7 years now.

I've found its amazing how more attuned you are to every cramp and feeling in your body when you start TTC - rather than imagining symptoms. I've been convinced every month that I'm pregnant and no luck yet. Fingers crossed you're a lucky one though!!

MouseLove · 19/10/2016 14:28

I've felt like that for a few weeks OHMoll & flora Sad the area around my pelvis is very sore from front to back.

CD34 today for me. No signs of AF.

Eva30 · 19/10/2016 15:40

^hopefully we'll have at least one BFP soon!Smile
