I caved and used the frer which was negative.

Have just made breakfast and started dry heaving so I'll probably stick to one wine for appearances and cross everything possible.

Thanks Lisa! I had in my head this cycle that if I'm not pregnant this cycle the baby will be a September child and so oldest in their year and so have a head start at school. Little things help sometimes

bluebell17 · 03/12/2016 10:35

Thank you mouse, pyjamas and charactarantula for the reassurance. It's still going! Feels rubbish! Confused will be happy when back to normal.

WarwickAlice · 03/12/2016 12:07

Af is a day late so did a test. Negative, of course. I'm feeling so resigned that it's never going to be positive that I don't even feel that upset- just numb. I'm still in bed, can't face getting up. I have to go to a family christening this weekend and I honestly can't face the world any more.

Eva30 · 03/12/2016 12:27

lisa sorry for the BFNs and feeling down - I know the feeling well, especially when you think about where you thought you'd be by this time. I thought my baby would be due in Jan when I first started and that I'd be 8 months pregnant by Xmas - how naive I was haha!! But like you say remember it's only cycle 4, and I always try to remind myself of the statistic that 80-90% of people will be pregnant after a year of TTC. That means you've got to be an unlucky one to not be! I also think that I see a lot more people getting BFPs on threads who are on cycles 7-12 than I do in the earlier ones, and I've put it down to our bodies adjusting after various birth controls and also perfecting the pattern of TTC! Chin up and keep going, it will happenFlowers

pjs Fort Knox really made me laugh!! I'm totally the same, me and DH are happy with once/twice a week so it really is a conscious effort TTC!

bluebell and shaz definitely sounds like nothing to worry about and like the others said cycles go a bit crazy when first coming off birth control.

hellsbells I stocked up on cheapie opks as well as CB so that I could POAS til my hearts contentGrin

kelly sounds like too early to test and lisas comment about sharing blood is good advice. I really somewhere that ovulation bleeding does happen sometimes

warwick sorry for BFN, did you go and see the GP after last time?

Also welcomes to kelly shaz and bluebellSmile

Charactarantula · 03/12/2016 13:36

Has anyone experienced ovulation pain/ cramps? Before I went on the pill, they were usually mild but today I am having really obvious pain on my left hand side - CD20. Ive never experienced them on this level before - any words of wisdom?

LisaSimpsonsbff · 03/12/2016 16:39

I don't get ovulation pain, tarantula, but I do get (horrible) period pain and I think the same sorts of things are supposed to work: hot baths/hot water bottles, a bit of gentle stretching (I find either going on all fours and arching my back or lying on my back and stretching full out can ease it a bit), painkillers if necessary. Hope you feel better soon!

Thanks so much for that message, Eva - you're always so kind and so upbeat.

I'm sorry, warwick, I know how hard this has been hitting you Flowers

Pyjamas81 · 03/12/2016 16:43

Ha ha Eva - glad I'm not the only one! Saying that, I'm actually feeling quite frisky today - v unusual for me! Going to dtd tonight before I head out with sister in law.

Just did a cheapie - but I've had too much water today and waaaaaay too diluted. Going to hold off the water and try again later. It's hard when I always make sure I drink 2L a day!

Eva30 · 03/12/2016 18:30

Anytime lisa, I do find the days when AF hits hard and almost talk to myself with all the stats!
have a great night out pjs
tarantula I get ovulation pain, had it bad earlier this week. I got my +OPK on Monday night and then when I woke up on Tuesday it was so sore, my whole left hip ached and it hurt to sit down. It was gone by Wednesday. See the photo, it's a great explanation of why it hurts. I've been assured it's completely normal.

First time ttc - thread four
Charactarantula · 03/12/2016 19:55

Thanks Eva & lisa. I am symptom spotting like a crazy woman and wondered if this was a sign!

bassetmum · 03/12/2016 20:17

I get ovulation pain most months. I keep forgetting Ive got opks but I noticed today some wet cm not quite ewcm but I think its the start of my fw.

Lets hope you get your static smiley soon pjs. I'm in the same boat as some of you ladies dtd once a week at best so this ttc 3-4 times a fw is loads for us.

So sorry warwick. Look after yourself.

Pyjamas81 · 04/12/2016 08:49

Static smiley today! CD 14 - looks like my cycles are finally normal again now Smile this does mean that we'll have to dtd again today (dtd yesterday) - we were trying to avoid consecutive days, but oh well!

I get ovulation pain tarantula - not very painful though, just a pang here and there.

Eva30 · 04/12/2016 09:33

Yay pjs! Sunday bonking!Grin
I'm 6dpo and not much to report. Have been keeping my feet lovely & toasty warm and eating pineapple everyday but don't feel any different to normal. I'm testing on Friday before my night out (will be 11dpo).

Pyjamas81 · 04/12/2016 09:36

Just did a cheapie Eva (pic below) - no arguing with that result! DH is out but has been warned I'm jumping on him later Grin

I'm intrigued! What do pineapples and warm feet do?

First time ttc - thread four
Eva30 · 04/12/2016 10:16

pjs definitely no arguing with that, I do love a good strong line! Apparently pineapples have some chemical in them which helps implantation, and pineapple juice (but not from concentrate). And your feet are a direct reflection of your uterus conditions so keeping them warm means a nice cosy environment for the fertilised egg to implant into. Could all be myths of course but I'm giving it a whirl, I'm always one to try something new out!

HellsBellsK · 04/12/2016 10:22

Morning Girls,

warwick hope you are feeling better this morning - look after yourself. This TCC is hard work. Its always on your mind, its exhausting.

Lisa hope you are feeling better today also Flowers

Eva im peeing on opks around the clock Smile

Ah thats great pj hop on DH later Grin
How many days till you got the static smiley? I tested this morning and it was still flashing thats the 3rd day.
I am sick at the moment high temp and achy all over spent all day in bed yesterday. Hopefully it will clear off soon or else I will be out this month only DTD on friday first day of flashing smiley .

DH and myself are the same with DTD usually once or twice a week. DTD on a monday / tuesday doesn't excite me at all. Bet I will get the static smiley in the morning now Hmm

Pyjamas81 · 04/12/2016 10:27

I had four days of flashing smileys hells - I'm like you, dtd on Monday/Tuesday really doesn't do it for me!

Interesting Eva - will be having some pineapple with my breakfast for the next couple of weeks then!

Pyjamas81 · 04/12/2016 10:30

Ps hells - hope you feel better soon!

Saw on FB today that my ex's wife (he cheated on me with her) is pregnant and judging by the size of the bump, they probably started TTC around the same time me and DH did! I'm fine about it, was just weird seeing it!

Pyjamas81 · 04/12/2016 14:29

For the first time ever, I've got ovulation spotting!! Hurry home quick DH!!!

LisaSimpsonsbff · 04/12/2016 15:03

Ooh, you're having a bit of an up and down day, pjs. Glad you're feeling ok about an ex, but those things can feel so strange even if most of the emotion has soaked out of it over time, can't they? I remember a couple of years ago seeing pictures that a teenage boyfriend put up of his gf visiting his parents - it felt like being winded seeing photos of such familiar spaces and people, even though a) we were kids, really b) it had been the best part of a decade and c) I don't even think I was that fussed about him at the time! It's like going back to your old school - just weird to see it all going on without you!

Pyjamas81 · 04/12/2016 16:19

That's so true Lisa! It really didn't upset me - I just thought "hm, well that's weird"

DH currently watching football as tired after his run today - we need to dtd dammit!

Watched the great sperm race today - it really is a wonder any of us are here!!

Eva30 · 04/12/2016 16:48

Oh god pjs - I'd find that really weird too. You're friends with your ex's gf? You're a bigger person than me haha
You got some DTD in last night and if you do tonight that might actually time perfectly as the dark line means it's "coming up" - I hope we all get December BFPs!!

Pyjamas81 · 04/12/2016 17:00

Oh god no - definitely not friends with her on FB Eva haha. My ex and I were part of the same group of uni friends - the group split when we split but am still friends with a couple of them on FB and one of them posted a picture.

Yes - hoping we're timing it right this month! Although DH currently asleep on the sofa... Appt at fertility clinic on Thurs - would be the very definition of law of sod if we spunk a load of money on tests (pun intended) and I'm unknowingly pregnant!

Really hope we get some December BFPs! I'll be with my mum and I only get to see her once a year and would be amazing to get a BFP while I'm there!

LisaSimpsonsbff · 04/12/2016 17:14

Argh, AF still not here and just took another flipping negative test. I am very clearly not pregnant - why do I keep torturing myself like this?! I have now PO every S in this house, so at least temptation is now less at hand!

Pyjamas81 · 04/12/2016 17:24

Argh sorry to hear about test Lisa - what cd are you on?

LisaSimpsonsbff · 04/12/2016 17:33

13dpo. I really don't think I'm pregnant, but just wish AF would hurry up so I can stop having that 'what if?' feeling. I assumed she'd be here on Fri (I think I have quite a short luteal phase), but thinking about it that's putting a lot of faith in not much data - my last two cycles have both been 31 days, but I don't know why I was then taking that as a pattern set in stone.
