You never know lisa till she rears her ugly face.

Pjs looks good. Im currently facing an interesting fw. We dtd last night but my oh is currently lying on the floor with a sore back. Was kinda hoping to dtd again tonight as you girls gave said work night dtd doesn't really excite you.

Pyjamas81 · 04/12/2016 19:17

It is really annoying Lisa - have been there Sad Really hope you get an answer soon.

Basset- hope DH's back gets better!

Finally managed to tear DH away from the sofa It was an effort as we dtd yesterday but the deed is done Grin

As my peak result was today and I got ovulation bleeding today - do we have to dtd tomorrow as well? Desperately hoping FW is over

HellsBellsK · 04/12/2016 19:39

Lisa Hope you get an answer soon, being in limbo isn't fun. But you never know on till she turns up!

pj good work Grin
I'm going to need to work on DH later, just putting the christmas tree up and having some wine so hopefully after Wink
CM is creamy tonight so think thats what I'm looking for - last 2 cycles I didn't get any. Did a cheap ovulation test but it isn't as dark as the control line - But I have been drinking loads of water today after being sick yesterday.

Might get myself some pineapple Wink

WarwickAlice · 04/12/2016 22:15

Thank you for your messages, ladies. I've been away at the christening I mentioned, which was really hard to bear. I managed most of the service without crying but excused myself from most of the reception because I was so tearful. I then got it back under control to come back in and be cornered by one of dh's tactless relatives who began interrogating me about when we're going to have a baby, 'ooh, the next christening will be your baby's' and 'do you have any plans?' 'Eh, it's fun trying', and all the rest of it. So that set me off again and I'm still feeling like a failure at life. Going to the doc again on Tuesday. I'm going to stay home from work tomorrow. I'm not technically 'sick', but I don't care: I need to be alone. Why are people so awful?? Xxx

LisaSimpsonsbff · 05/12/2016 07:00

Answer received: AF here. Thanks for supportive messages while I was in limbo. Anyway, today is day 1 of a new cycle: onwards and upwards!

I'm sorry you had such an upsetting conversation at the christening, Alice. People can be really insensitive without realising.

Pyjamas81 · 05/12/2016 08:03

Sorry about AF Lisa - it'll be over soon, and yes, onwards and upwards!

And sorry you're having a rough time Alice - I hope you feel better soon.

Just did another opk - still quite a strong line but not quite positive I don't think? Will see what we feel like tonight for dtd - Monday really isn't our best day!

First time ttc - thread four
HellsBellsK · 05/12/2016 09:51

So sorry you had a bad day yesterday Alice . Some people just don't think. At a wedding last weekend I had people ask me and making comments like Oh your drinking I guess your not pregnant.

That looks good pj I would say it nearly matches.

Im still getting flashing smiley faces - day 4 now. CM is creamy so my Ovia changes my Fw week ending tomorrow - It was suppose to go until Thursday.
But google is telling me Creamy CM isn't fertile. Will do a cheap opk around lunch time and see what that looks like! Very Confused.

Blissfulignorance · 05/12/2016 14:05

Hello, woken up from my weekend nights finally.

Sorry AF got you Lisa Chocolate on to the next cycle!

Alice that sounds like an awful experience. I have no idea what possesses people to be so rude and intrusive. Maybe it's coming from a good place but manifested poorly?

Have some oysters pj they say those are aphrodisiacs don't they?

My fw has gone amazingly?! If it is in fact my fw as I've not opened a single app since cd1. But brace yourselves ladies .... we have dtd for 9 days in a row Shock even when I've been on nights. I suspect DH wants a baby soon as he has been initiating most of the time. If it doesn't happen this month I must be baron.

Pyjamas81 · 05/12/2016 14:44

If you know of any vegetarian aphrodisiacs, let me know! I'll buy in bulk ha ha

9 days???? You're a freaking hero - I'm exhausted just thinking about it!

HellsBellsK · 05/12/2016 15:00

Well done Bliss I am also tired thinking of all that.

Im so tired from last night - for some odd reason after DTD I am always wide awake and cant sleep. Just text DH and said we have to DTD before 9 on a school night - of course he has the best sleep after!

LisaSimpsonsbff · 05/12/2016 15:01

Jesus, blissful, that's a seriously good effort: I think we last managed nine days in a row on honeymoon!

We've nearly filled yet another thread!

Blissfulignorance · 05/12/2016 15:26

Hmmm nothing vegetarian Hmmpjs but if I hear of anything I'll tell you first.

9days hasn't actually felt like much of a chore, it's been quite fun. Although I'm so tired today, turning my body clock around to days again. I think the stint will end.

Eva30 · 05/12/2016 16:40

blissful 9 days - WOW, I am seriously impressed! Well done and fx
pjs not as strong as yesterday's line but still strong.
lisa so sorry for AF but at least you're out of limbo and onto a new chance this cycle.
I'm 7dpo and had dull cramps all day. I'm wondering if something I ate isn't agreeing with meBlush

Eva30 · 05/12/2016 16:42

Oh and hells usually creamy CM is after FW, are you sure you haven't missed ov? What cd are you?
I have creamy cm at the moment, cd21. TMI alert: it's actually like hand cream atm!

HellsBellsK · 05/12/2016 16:55

Don't think so Eva I'm only on CD 11.
AF ended around CD5, DTD CD8 & CD10 will try again tonight or definitely tomorrow. Had a terrible nights sleep last night all I want is my bed so don't know if i am up for it, also DH is working late.

Its stretchy between my fingers, Its not a thick cream colour.
God I have never in my life looked at tissue paper and touch it after going to the loo so much Grin

LisaSimpsonsbff · 05/12/2016 17:03

I've started a new thread for us as this one is full! www.mumsnet.com/Talk/conception/2797222-First-time-TTC-thread-five?watched=1

LisaSimpsonsbff · 05/12/2016 17:04

I hope that's ok and not a breech of thread etiquette - I was worried we'd fill it before basset got a chance to make a new one!

LisaSimpsonsbff · 05/12/2016 17:17

Or even a breach of etiquette!

bassetmum · 05/12/2016 19:00

Haha lisa ive been out all day today so only just managed to catch up. Good on you for the new thread.

OP posts:
Kirstyinnorway · 07/12/2016 10:27

Hi everyone! That's me back from my weekend away and just catching up...

Lisa I'm so sorry for AF, rubbish news. Have you been enjoying the wine this week as a crap consolation prize? Good work on setting up a new thread, thanks.

Eva well done on all the DTD (I feel like this was ages ago now but warranted a mention!)

pjs how did AMS go? Your OPKs are looking good and dark now!

warwick I'm sorry you were feeling so low last week followed by a bumbling idiot at the christening (sorry, she's probably lovely really, but that conversation should just never have taken place). How are you doing today? You are absolutely not a failure.

Eva how are you getting on with your warm feet? You've made me rethink my sock choices now, my feet are always like blocks of ice! You've also unwittingly answered a question I've not asked yet about creamy CM; I had some over the weekend and was wondering when I was "supposed" to get it - right after my FW is spot-on. Thanks!

bliss I'm in the same boat! 8 days in a row for me (I felt like I was walking like John Wayne by the time FW was over) and I really do feel like if I'm not up-duffed this month it will be extremely unfair! DH was a trooper. Well done to you guys too!

Hello to any/all newbies I've missed! Smile

Kirstyinnorway · 07/12/2016 10:35

As for me, I'm now 5-6 DPO and sooooooooooo impatient.

Stupid question - when I get my "peak" OPK result, do you ladies take that as the day you ovulated? I never know how many DPO I am as I'm never actually sure when you count it from?

I'm feeling super positive this month - DH and I DTD loads in FW and only missed one possible fertile day (48 hours after my "peak" ov, when I'd already left for my weekend away). I have no symptoms but I know I will be devastated this month if it's not our turn because of the effort we put in.

Ovia says I can test in 7 days at the earliest. I bought a 4-pack of FRER while back in the UK and hoping I won't need more than one. I also bought some cheapy OPKs for next month though, in case we're not lucky.

Mad that you only get a 20% chance each month, isn't it? As someone upthread said: it's a miracle we're all here at all!

Whatever2k17 · 15/12/2016 04:55

FairyAnn · 22/12/2016 09:47

Hi all, I have been off the pill for two months now, and am on my 2nd cycle.

Today I've got a really painful ache in the lower left of my stomach, below the belly button, almost on top of my hip.

Is this something to be concerned about, or is it just a muscle pull?
