WantingBaby1 · 28/11/2016 17:23

Sorry basset , could well be too early though, and not first thing in the morning. Try on Wednesday?

Seahawk80 · 28/11/2016 17:49

Sorry basset hope you're ok. It still seems promising though. Maybe see what happens over the next couple of days, if you still feel odd I'd test again Flowers

gemmarey85 · 28/11/2016 18:00

Hello everyone.

I am new to this site and new to TTC.

I came off the mini pill two weeks ago and the I am feeling like the TTC craziness has begun. When we decided to TTC, I thought I would be easy going with it. I said "we will just stop not trying and when it happens, it happens". Then day 3 I bought ovulation tests which now at day 14 are all gone...... :)

I am now worried that I am broken, I have even sat thinking have I peed on the sticks wrong and I am google imaging Cervical Mucus.... I am yet to bleed or ovulate and I just want to find someone whom is at the very beginning of this journey!!

HELP!! :)

Eva30 · 28/11/2016 18:33

Aw basset I'm sorry FlowersFlowers
Haha gemma that's how I started off, back in April! You'll soon get in to the swing of things. It's hard to get going before having AF and starting counting cycle days. Have you got an app? Fertility friend and Ovia seem to be favourites.

I think I can say this is definitely a positive opk now.

Pyjamas81 · 28/11/2016 18:38

Sorry about bfn basset - FlowersChocolate

That looks positive to me Eva! Get shaving those legs! My opk was snowy white today - quite fancy slobbing about in my pyjamas all evening, but will kick off FW anyway. Mondays do not bring out the sexy time in us! Actually any weekday is bad, but needs must.

Yep - we've all been there Gemma! Welcome! I use fertility friend, couldn't get on with ovia in the end.

Blissfulignorance · 28/11/2016 18:47

Sorry basset maybe try again in a couple of days? Or if that was AF I'd be pretty happy it was so short! Have some treats tonight CakeBrewBiscuit

WantingBaby1 · 28/11/2016 18:53

eva that's a positive!

gem welcome to the slightly bonkers world of ttc.

Came home and dh told me my boobs had grown. Yet another "symptom" that could be either af on her way (was due today) or a baby on her way Hmm

Would love to think it could be the latter but we only dtd twice during my "surge" - the day I got a positive opk and then 4 days later so I think the chances are slim.

gemmarey85 · 28/11/2016 19:14

Awww thank you for the welcomes!

It's so nice to know that what I am feeling is normal! I will download fertility friend now!!

Thank youSmile

MouseLove · 28/11/2016 22:52

Hi gem, totally normal. I thought I was completely broken my first cycle. It was a long one too. 50 days. Well take good care of you here.

AF got me early. CD24/8DPO. On to cycle 3.

LisaSimpsonsbff · 28/11/2016 23:26

Really sorry about the BFN, basset, and for AF mouse. Flowers for you both.

Welcome gemma. I'm an Ovia girl, but none of them are that helpful in the first cycle, unfortunately, because it takes some time for you to get regular enough and them to have enough info on you to be predicting accurately. I'm sure it's frustrating waiting but hang on in there!

Kirstyinnorway · 29/11/2016 07:50

Hey everyone. Been away for a whole week, so just been catching up! Loads has happened :)

pjs how are you getting on period pal?! Grin GREAT news that you're ovulating! Soon time for your next tests, good that you get your results on the same day!

pie I missed all your medical stuff, you poor thing. How are you feeling now?

Sorry about AF hells

Hey bliss, you sounded a bit down upthread - hope you're Ok? Sorry that your DH is struggling with work.

seahawk you're having a bit of a time of it with this pregnancy, you're doing really well keeping calm with extra scans and bleeding. Brilliant that you have a photo now! Very cute little bean :)

baguette I'm just a day ahead of you in my cycle. Fingers crossed for us this month!

Well done for going for the job eva! FX that you get it!

basset I'm sorry about the ups and down there - I don't think you're out yet either. Another test with fmu I guess - then even if it's negative, you're at least not starting back on CD1, you're already ahead a bit and can get going with DTD again and trying for this cycle. Flowers

Hi gemma, try to relax (hah - easier said than done) Grin There is probably nothing wrong at all, and you will end up relaxing into it - I'm on cycle 3 now and was frantic on cycle 1. Now I have a much more realistic view of what to expect. Your body will probably need time after the pill too! Lots of fresh fruit and veggies, water, less caffeine (if you want to).

Come on a BFP wanting!!

So for me - I'm CD10 now, expecting peak ov tomorrow. Just DTD as often as poss. Downloaded Ovia and put the last 3 cycles' worth of data in it (I've just been using code in my work diary! Haha)... Took an OPK this morning but it was negative, I'm expecting a positive tomorrow/Thurs. This cycle would have me testing right before my birthday. Wouldn't that be a wonderful present?

Baby dust and happy Tuesdays all round.

Eva30 · 29/11/2016 08:27

Thanks kirsty and yes that would be the best birthday present!

Well I'm definitely ov today, it's very very painful. The egg is coming from my left ovary this month, it hurts just to sit down - does anyone else get this? I asked Dr Google and a lot of people said nothing to worry about but a couple said it's due to endometriosis (and of course I focused on the couple that have endo instead of all those who said it was normal). I expect to see the temp rise tomorrow.

wanting any news?
blissful hope you're doing ok. Is DH feeling better after quitting the job? Less stress?
mouse sorry for AF Flowers but not bad at all for 2nd cycle right?
lisa How are you, where are you up to in your cycle? Is this one where you won't be away with work for FW?

First time ttc - thread four
WantingBaby1 · 29/11/2016 08:42

Hi all,

No news here, other than the fact I woke up late with no time to poas! But I also work up spotty and with a back ache, so I think a is going to make an arrival today.

MouseLove · 29/11/2016 09:30

Yes it's still early days yes. Cycle 1 was 50 days. Cycle 2 was 23 days. Just hoping they settle soon.

Blissfulignorance · 29/11/2016 09:31

Sorry for AF mouse CakeCakeWine
*
Wanting* you never know, although they do sound like pre AF signs for me. Still have fingers and toes crossed.

Get BDing Kirsty and Eva!

I'm doing better thanks girls. DH has certainly improved his mood since leaving, he's sleeping better and looks brighter. However what the fuck are we going to do about xmas now?! I already spent £200 on his present that I can't return. I make enough that we can get by from each month and he said he'll get a job quickly he's still sat in his pjs at 9:30 on a Tuesday.

Kirstyinnorway · 29/11/2016 12:30

Ah bliss I'm glad he's feeling better but it may be that you've taken on a bit of his worry now! He probably needs a bit of time to get his head in job-hunting gear... I was made redundant last August and it took me a good month to get myself on track! As it happens, the job situation where I am now is beyond awful and 16 months on, I'm still unable to find something (this won't happen to your DH, I work in the crashing oil and gas industry and am not yet fully fluent in Norwegian so I'm basically doomed). I've ended up starting a business instead and we essentially get by on only DH's salary as its a start-up. We've found that no matter what you earn, at the end of the month it's gone, so we've just adjusted! His Christmas present might be an expensive one this year, but it just means a tighter January!

You probably know all this and I'm not being very helpful but we have been through it and it will only get better from this point forward Smile

Blissfulignorance · 29/11/2016 13:14

Ah Kirsty I appreciate your message, and I sincerely hope that your job situation improves soon too! I think I have taken on some of his worry, I'm so pleased he's happier now and I believe it was the right decision for him. But unfortunately my grown up head keeps nagging me to think about finances and thus conceiving! He's absolutely said that this career change should in no way stop us trying because who knows what might happen next or how long it will take.
January will be so tight for us anyway as for some reason my work pay us a week early in December which means I'll be waiting and extra week in January Confused. Stupid NHS.

In other news fw is going well, with all his time off we've managed to dtd 4 days in a row so far! (Despite looking like an acne ridden teenager!)

LisaSimpsonsbff · 29/11/2016 16:55

I'm fine, thanks Eva - sorry that you're in pain. Yes, this is my 'actual shot' cycle - we did the sperm meets egg thing which felt like a lot of DTD. Expecting AF on Fri or Sat and trying really hard to not get my hopes up. I think DH is a bit worried that I'm too optimistic and will be upset, which is a bit of a turn up for the books - normally I'm the avowed pessimist and he's the over optimist!

Charactarantula · 29/11/2016 17:23

I've had enough of lurking now so I'm just going to join in Grin.

TTC #1
Age 26
Cycle #2
CD 16

I am trying so hard not to symptom spot despite it being 2DPO!

Kirstyinnorway · 29/11/2016 17:40

Oh good bliss, I'm glad it was vaguely helpful. We're the same - just going for TTC anyway and life will sort itself out. Always seems to!

Lisa you just made me google "sperm meets egg" and I got a truly awful video hit that totally put me off my Kinder Bueno.

Hello tarantula utterly gives up on proper name I'll keep my fingers crossed for you!

LisaSimpsonsbff · 29/11/2016 17:45

Sperm meets egg is a thing, isn't it?! Every other day then three days in a row after pos OPK then day off then one more for luck - I'm sure this is a thing?! Maybe I've made it up... (No one tell DH, day three nearly killed him)
