Kirsty haha! It is an amalgamation of 'character' & 'tarantula'. I was trying to be clever but it's a bit of a mouthful!!!

Kirstyinnorway · 29/11/2016 18:13

Yes it is Lisa, don't worry - you're not going mad! SMEP. New to me, but only because I hadn't looked!

Pyjamas81 · 29/11/2016 20:11

We've given up on SMEP - way too much for us!!

Dtd last night - totally negative opk today so we're going to DTD again on Thurs, then Saturday and Monday. That's more than enough for us!

Blissfulignorance · 29/11/2016 20:23

Good luck Lisa, I've never heard of SMEP either but it makes sense now, heard of the routine just not what it's called.

Welcome tarantula join the madness.

Eva30 · 29/11/2016 20:44

Yeah lisa I know of SMEP but that just wouldn't happen for us, so we just focus on as much as we can (tiredness dependent) from cd9-cd16 as ov is regular on cd15 or cd16. SMEP has high success rates apparently so fx AF doesn't show!

Welcome tarantula

Eva30 · 30/11/2016 07:38

wanting any news?

Kirstyinnorway · 30/11/2016 07:38

Negative OPK today (the most basic digital CB one, so no gradient, just a 'nope' or a 'go for it like rabbits for the next 48 hours'). Humph. Peeved as it was really due today and DH and I are in separate countries this weekend, so if we'd got a positive today it would have really boosted our chances!

FX I get a positive tomorrow, then we still have a decent chance before I fly on Friday morning.

We've DTD every day since Sunday (we are determined this month... Haha)... Just three more days to get busy before we go on our respective weekends away!

Hopefully there will be lots of swimmers lurking around up there(!) for when/if one of my eggs decides to go on a wander!

Kirstyinnorway · 30/11/2016 07:41

Blimey that was a bit long, sorry.

I'm really glad I have you girls to 'speak' to about this, it feels naice nice to have a group that understands the maths of testing/day counting Smile

And yes - wanting, what's happening with you this morning?

LisaSimpsonsbff · 30/11/2016 09:05

Familiar with the frustration of inconveniently timed ovulation, Kirsty - fx it comes soon. How long are you away for? My boss wants me to go with her on a brief research trip in Jan - we had a meeting on Monday and as she gave me the list of possible dates I was obviously looking at my work diary, but also trying to calculate FW dates in my head...!

WantingBaby1 · 30/11/2016 09:06

BFP! I tested twice I can barely believe it!

LisaSimpsonsbff · 30/11/2016 09:07

Ps. Trying so hard to ignore my body at the moment - I have decided (to preserve sanity) that I don't believe in v early pregnancy symptoms, but I can't stop trying to work out if I can feel AF on her way. Keep telling myself she'll either come or she won't and I can't help it either way, but the necessary zen is eluding me!

LisaSimpsonsbff · 30/11/2016 09:09

Oh my goodness wanting - congratulations! Lovely news!

(Sorry for the cross post!)

Eva30 · 30/11/2016 09:30

Amazing wanting!!! Many congratulations!!! Grin it was about time we got one here!!

Lisa I know what you mean, I'm not going to temp in this tww because my temps are always high up to 2 days before AF and it really gets my hopes up!

HellsBellsK · 30/11/2016 09:34

WANTING I am so so happy for you!! Congratulations I knew it was your month!

MrsG280516 · 30/11/2016 09:57

BFP for me today at 12dpo Grin AF would be due Saturday so hoping she stays away!

bassetmum · 30/11/2016 10:20

Wow fantastic wanting and mrsg. It was about time this thread had some more bfps!!Grin.

Does anybody else have a fitbit that measures their heart rate?

Eva30 · 30/11/2016 11:50

mrsG congratulations!!! Turns out BFP's are like buses!!! How bloody fantastic!

Blissfulignorance · 30/11/2016 11:52

Congratulations wanting and mrsg! Fantastic news!! What a lovely early xmas present.

Kirstyinnorway · 30/11/2016 12:09

Lisa I'm away for 4 days, so it the window will be well and truly over by the time I get back. Will just have to DTD lots beforehand and keep everything crossed. I'm smiling at you doing frantic mental maths about your work trips... Perhaps a pink highlighter for all your future FW's in the diary will help!

Massive congratulations to MrsG and wanting, happy news on a drizzly day! Star

Kirstyinnorway · 30/11/2016 12:10

basset I'm really wanting a Fitbit but don't have one yet. Are you looking to get one?

Kirstyinnorway · 30/11/2016 12:14

MrsG we started trying around the same time! You commented on my first post here when I'd just got AF and was really disappointed. You were just on your first cycle - I guess this is cycle 3 for you now? Third time's the charm Smile

MrsG280516 · 30/11/2016 12:25

Only cycle 2 Kirsty Shock I'm more surprised than anything, I had it in my head that it would take at least 3 months then I ov'd early this month so was adamant that it wouldn't stick. Just want it to be Saturday now so I can have proper confirmation of a missed period!

bassetmum · 30/11/2016 12:26

Kirsty i already have a charge 2. Love it. I had a look at my heart rate chart today and for some unknown reason my heart rate seems to have increased this last month. Very odd.
