Lovely scan pic Johno! I also pop in here every so often to see how everyone is doing. Looking fw to seeing some bfp's in 2017!

LucyLugosi · 31/12/2016 13:29

Can anyone recommend a fertility/cycle tracking app? Are there any genuinely good ones? I've seen people talking about a few but not sure which to go with!

LuciBee231015 · 31/12/2016 13:47

Lucy I went with Ovia when I was tracking.

MouseLove · 31/12/2016 17:57

Happy New Year everyone.

I unexpectedly got my BFP this morning. I'm still in utter shock as we thought we weren't trying this cycle. I tested to make sure I wasn't pregnant so I could have an MRI scan today. Well, didn't have the scan!!

I wish for many more BFP from you all in 2017. X

LucyLugosi · 31/12/2016 18:09

Thanks Luci I've downloaded it!

Congratulations Chapman she is lovely! What a Christmas present!!

Mouse omg that's brilliant news! Congratulations!!

How are you doing Luci - have you got past your morning sickness yet?

I tried to have a few beers last night but clearly wasn't ready for alcohol after last week's bug and couldn't drink any more past 11.30 then was sick at 4.30am. My sister was laughing at me thinking I couldn't handle my ale 😭 so not the best new years but at home now on the couch with the fire on while DH sleeps off his hangover! 🙄

Hope you all had a lovely new years xx

LuciBee231015 · 01/01/2017 14:28

Chapman she is absolutely adorable!! You must be so in love!! Congratulations to you both!

Seven, I am finally past the sickness, as of about a week ago. Feeling so much better, now I realise how I bosh I actually felt! I'm 15+2 now. Heartburn has kicked in now and a few headaches. When I went for my 12 week scan they brought me forward 6 days so now I'm due on 23rd June!

Piehunter · 01/01/2017 15:18

Congrats Chapman I was lurking when you got your bfp! Can't believe it's been 9 months already! Smile

Lovechild2016 · 01/01/2017 15:26

Amazing news mouselove did you have any symptoms? How many dpo are you? So lovely to hear the resident preggos news too! I am feeling very frustrated as cd31 after a 26 day cycle last month and 28 month before after my last pill withdrawal bleed. I've had lots of BFN, crampy pains on tue and wed now nothing except feeling emotional (this could also be tiredness). I'm not convinced I am ovulating. Is there anything I can do to kick start this cycle? I just want AF to arrive then I can start afresh as currently in limbo!

cnchapmanxx · 01/01/2017 15:52

Thankyou mouselove sevenofnine lucibee & piehunter very appreciated Flowers

She was a day late, but the best Christmas present we could ever wish for. November went really slow for me purely because I was dying to finish for maternity leave. We are so besotted with her she is perfect and worth all the waiting.

Sunnydays another resident preggo aswell also had her baby too. And we were long time posters on this thread. Hope 2017 is so good to all of you and I wish you a year of happiness, lots of sex and baby scans, bfps, kicks & hiccups! Xxxx

MouseLove · 01/01/2017 16:38

Stick in there love child. Totally normal cycles those so try to be patient. I have no idea when I ovulated since I stopped tracking. Didn't get a positive OPK and we actually stopped DTD as I got a letter for my MRI scan. So we completely and utterly invoked Sod's law. I tested CD32 with a IC and it was as white as snow. Tested CD34 yesterday to double check before my scan and wham!!!! Didn't have my scan btw lol. And no real symptoms at all. Maybe a little twitchy belly and thirsty. But nothing at all I'd say "ah haaaa"

Awwwww she is lovely chapman, congratulations xx

Lovechild2016 · 01/01/2017 17:49

Wow mouse check out your digital, no doubt there then! Thank fors for sharing your cycle info it's really helpful and encouraging, love a bit of Sod's law! xx

LuciBee231015 · 01/01/2017 18:01

I would recommend agnus castus for those struggling with long cycles and wondering if they are ovulating. It's herbal and promotes ovulation. I got my bfp the first month of using it.

You take 2 every morning until you get a positive opk and then stop. Got mine from Amazon.

Lovechild2016 · 01/01/2017 18:16

Thanks luci I will have a look at getting some. Do you think I can start it straight away or do I have to wait until AF arrives? I honestly thought I had beaten the system when my first period arrived bang on time after stopping pill, oh well! X

LuciBee231015 · 01/01/2017 20:10

Oh I took mine when af arrived... Mysteriously arrived a few days after ordering it!

Purpleviola14 · 02/01/2017 10:03

Congratulations mouse! And happy new year to you all xx

ememem84 · 03/01/2017 12:55

Taking ttc seriously now. Have just bought some pre pregnancy vitamins. I have a trip I don't want to go on booked for march (family obligation more so than a holiday. And dh has said that because I get super stressed flying (super long haul flight) my only out is to get pg) so we're doing this. Hopefully. In the next 2 months...

Nothing like trying to cut things fine....!!

purplek1tty · 03/01/2017 15:54

Hi there,

I have been a longtime lurker of various chat-rooms, but have struggled to find one that I feel I really fit into. However, it seems that at least some of you are in a similar boat to me! I came of Microgynon in April 2016 intending to TTC. I am 33 and have been married for nearly four years.

I had been on the pill on and off for about 15 years.

I did my fair chunk of research into what to expect coming of the pill and was prepared for things to take a little while to settle down.

Fast forward 160+ days with still no AF!

Early October I noticed some EWCM and randomly took and OPK, which was positive. 10 days later had my first post pill AF. (I'd been OPKing previously but had given up after weeks/months of negatives).

Similar thing happened start of December and had my second post pill AF just before Xmas (60+ days second cycle).

I am now (in)patiently waiting to ovulate during my third cycle.

I have seen my GP, been referred to a Gyno (for my absent periods, rather than fertility) who wants me to continue with the wait and see approach. Have had bloods and ultrasound which are all fine.

Even though my cycles seem to be very slowly coming back, two periods in 9 months is incredibly frustrating. Angry I feel like I am not even in the TTC game yet. Just wondered if anyone on here had had such erratic periods after coming off the pill and found they eventually settled down without further medical help?

Huge thanks in advance!

Lovechild2016 · 03/01/2017 17:11

Hi purplek1tty yes you fit right in! sounds like a rather frustrating 8 months, I feel for you. Good signs though that you are maybe starting to ovulate and things are happening.

I stopped my combined pill (also microgynon!) at the end of September and had a normal withdrawal bleed, then a 'period' 30 days later (counting from 1st bleeding day) then a 26 day cycle and now onto cd 33 with no hint of anything. I've had no EWCM and no positive ovulation tests so I'm pretty convinced I'm not ovulating.

I have spoken to some gyne dr friends who said that it's not the pill that necessarily causes the problem as things tend to settle down after a coupl of months but often the pill prevents you from realising that there was a problem (I.e not ovulating/pcos). Although I'm not sure a lot of the women on here would agree and I think lots of us have had weird cycles post pill. Either way the waiting game is really a lot less fun than I anticipated so can imagine you are feeling frustrated. It's really reassuring that you have normal investigations and maybe it is just post pill weirdness. I know some people have recommended Agnus castus to help with ovulation and reduce cycle length. I'm going to give it a go when AF finally arrives! Good luck! Xxx
