Can't believe we've filled that thread, hope you all find this one!

Ali - so uncomfortable isn't it?! But I like that I can feel it happening, gives me a bit of warning at least. Yeah, I'm expecting I'll ov Thursday/Friday now which would work out much better than Saturday so fingers crossed.

Hello. Glad you are all going well with your pregnancies and getting tests done etc in preparation for ttc again.

17 weeks today and time seems to be going much quicker now the morning sickness has disappeared. 20 week scan in 3 weeks and we won't find out the sex.

I still get paranoid from time to time that something is wrong hoping to start feeling this baby moving soon as that will reassure me that all is well.

Alibaba2 · 28/11/2016 20:56

I know what you mean, in a way I was hoping they would find something wrong so they could fix it. What did they look for in your scan - follicles and lining? Or just a general look at everything?

It has been a shit year - I feel like I'm in limbo and just waiting.

I am feeling particularly negative tonight as AF due Weds. And it's a hard time thinking what might have been next month. I even came up with a name recently and of course now I see it everywhere. Sad

Let's hope 2017 is the one for us x

thatsnotmybear · 28/11/2016 22:20

Hi Mcbaby, glad all is well & you're feeling better. Good luck for your 20 wk scan, I imagine it's an anxious time.

Ali, my scan was part of the investigations into recurrent MC, so they're looking for structural or physical anomalies that could explain why it keeps happening. I don't think they really expected to find anything because I've had a previous healthy pregnancy, but at least they can rule out scarring or adhesions from previous surgeries (apart from my c-section scar which looks normal). My lining also looked normal & she could see plenty of eggs, with a leading follicle showing that I will ov from my left ovary this month. But it's not possible to determine the quality of the eggs, which is what I'm most worried about.

My DH won't be subjected to any tests at this point as his swimmers are doing their job & getting me pg. So the focus is on me & my sudden inability to keep them Sad

Good to hear from you Ali, can totally understand wanting to find something wrong so that you can fix it. It's a difficult time as due dates approach :(

Bear hope your tests throw up some explanation (which is easy to treat) so that you can move on with confidence in the new year. It really has been a shit year, hope 2017 is better.

Can't believe you're 18 weeks blossom! The scans are nervous wracking but I feel I need to know as soon as possible if there's a problem. 12 week scan in 2 weeks and if all is well then I'm hoping I'll relax a little

Alibaba2 · 29/11/2016 09:55

Bear, would you have a AMH test? I think I'll go for that next but not sure you can get it on the NHS. Great that you have plenty of follicles. Did they tell you how many they saw? Did you have the other bloods: LH, FSH and prog?

Blossom, I don't think I would go down the IVF road as I already have 2 kids.

Good luck all of you with upcoming scans.

thatsnotmybear · 30/11/2016 10:35

Hi Ali, they're following the standard NHS protocol for recurrent miscarriage investigations which starts with the tests for blood-clotting disorders and the scan. I don't actually know what comes next as it depends on the test results that I'm currently waiting for. To be honest it's a relief to be able to let the consultant take the wheel on this; I don't feel the need at the moment to push for additional tests as she seems very competent, so will put my faith in her for now (plus I'm too emotionally exhausted to do otherwise!) x

Alibaba2 · 30/11/2016 14:34

That's good Bear. And a good attitude to have so you can switch off as much as possible.

OH had his test today - he was practically running to get it there within the hour and was then made to wait for quite a while. No-one seemed very bothered about the time issue.

He'll be mortified if there's a problem his end! But it would actually make sense as the time we conceived it was a one-hit-wonder as oppose to a every-other-day job, if you know what I mean...

thatsnotmybear · 30/11/2016 16:25

We had fertility investigations back in 2011 and my DH had to take his sample to the hospital by bus, which obviously wasn't the quickest journey. He practically threw the sample at the nurse when he got there Grin

Alibaba2 · 30/11/2016 18:50

I'm picturing all the husbands in a Chariots of Fire style slo-mo, desperately trying to get their samples there on time... OH is actually traumatised by the whole thing.

Hello ladies,
It's been a while since I popped in but I saw some familiar names and just wanted to put my head around the door and send you all best wishes and luck in ttc and good health to those who are expecting.
I fell off the wagon in ttc and am just living a life now without the rollercoaster of great hopes. The main rollercoaster if anything is with a now irregular cycle - 28 years of being a 28 day girl - nothing got back to normal after the last MC.

So lots of luck and hope 2017 is the year.
Love, Claire

Hi everyone,

I've finally had the results from my blood tests taken at the Recurrent Miscarriage Clinic. The tests were for various blood clotting disorders and they've all come back normal. The consultant has simply advised me to get in touch as soon as I get a positive hpt. I'm currently on CD7 and I think we might start ttc again this month. Bit apprehensive but I'm having acupuncture again and it's really helping (Rider I can't remember whether you've had acupuncture but would you consider it? It might help to regulate your cycles again.) Also taking a break has helped too.

I hope everyone else is doing ok x

Bee1234 · 23/12/2016 00:08

I second what blossom said.. you ladies helped me through my storm and for that I will always be thankful! I wish everyone the best for 2017 Flowers

Bear, that's really good news that everything came back as it should. Good luck for the rest of the year and glad to hear you're okay.

Merry Christmas everyone, hope everyone is well Xmas Smile

Alibaba2 · 23/12/2016 07:57

Good news Bear and glad you're feeling positive again. Is the acu helping physically, mentally or both? I do miss it, but am taking a break from it. Lack of time and not financially sustainable.

Merry Christmas everyone. Wish you all luck and happiness in 2017! x

Thebean123 · 23/12/2016 10:12

Well it's a very merry Christmas from the bean household. Had my 12 week scan last week and saw a healthy baby that was flipping around like crazy! Am a week further than I thought Too which is great seeing as I feel bloody terrible ha!

Glad to hear your results are back normal bear :)

I hope everyone has a happy and peaceful Christmas and a positive New Year xx

thatsnotmybear · 24/12/2016 10:01

That's great news Bean, it must be a huge relief!

Obviously I'm relieved that my results were normal, but I'm more than a bit scared about trying again. Am just going to have to be brave I think.

Ali the acupuncture is helping in all ways. I took a break for a few months, and while it is expensive & time-consuming, it's the only thing that actually makes me feel positive.

Alibaba2 · 24/12/2016 10:43

Acu is amazing. I stopped in October and have been feeling a lot worse since then.

It really helps with positivity, moods, depression, PMS etc. Amazing.

Good luck Bear. And congrats Bean!

jinglebellmel · 30/12/2016 09:04

Hope everyone had a lovely Christmas. Bear, good news in a way that tests were all okay although I can imagine it's frustrating to be told it's 'bad luck'. Good luck for the new year, hopefully with some support as soon as you get your bfp things will go better next time x

Ali hope you're okay and have managed to enjoy Christmas, good luck for the new year.

Great news bean :) we must be about the same then 15 weeks? Still expecting something to go wrong at every turn and have horrible nightmares about the miscarriage, hope 20 week scan will finally put my mind at rest.

Hello to you all nearly 22 weeks and all looking good I feel like I can relax a bit after the 20 week scan and the constant movement.

Glad everyone else is doing well and tests haven't shown anything is wrong (although that can its self be difficult as there is no quick fix).

Great to hear from you Mel, mcbaby and blossom :) very pleased everyone's little beans are coming on nicely!

I'm 14w4 so a teeny bit behind you Mel. I've started to relax a little bit now....had to have a scan 2 days ago due to a nasty fall on my way home from work, but the baby really is very well covered in there and cosy and all was well so just me who is aching and bruised!!

How lovely, a little girl blossom :) am holding strong on the fact I don't want to find out (but secretly getting a little bit persuaded to take the plunge and know ha!)

Hope the acupuncture etc continues to do well for mind body and soul Ali and bear.

Happy new year to you all x

Bee1234 · 31/12/2016 17:38

lovely to hear you're all doing well, bean, blossom, mcbaby and Mel! Isn't time going quickly? I'm in my final trimester now and things have become very real! Looking forward to a new beginning in 2017!

Warm wishes for all of you in 2017.. 2016 has definitely been a weird one.
