Can't believe we've filled that thread, hope you all find this one!

Ali - so uncomfortable isn't it?! But I like that I can feel it happening, gives me a bit of warning at least. Yeah, I'm expecting I'll ov Thursday/Friday now which would work out much better than Saturday so fingers crossed.

(There's me talking about summer babies, which btw are , I have 2)!

jinglebellmel · 12/10/2016 15:06

Haha, it wouldn't be my preference Ali but as you said I'll take whatever I can get! I can't really think about the possible end result of a baby this time though, for my own sanity I'm I going to try and stay a bit detached for now, awful as that sounds.

I totally understand Mel. I may detach myself slightly too as do need to switch off a bit from ttc.

My emoji didn't come up btw. Summer babies are StarStarStar

McBaby · 12/10/2016 15:46

Congratulations for both getting lines :)

jinglebellmel · 12/10/2016 15:50

It's horrible that we have to think that way isn't it?! Was so excited last month but just can't feel the same this time around. Did you make an appointment to see your GP in the end Ali?

Blossom, oh how scary for you. I'm glad it seems to be going well though, chances are really good after you've seen a healthy heartbeat at your stage I think? I think I'm 11dpo today, Af isn't due until Saturday and after last month I'm trying to stay very realistic about this one.

thatsnotmybear · 12/10/2016 15:56

I'm only 10dpo and feeling similarly detached Mel. Nothing to do but wait!

Sorry about your scare Blossom but really glad everything is ok.

jinglebellmel · 12/10/2016 16:24

Good advice thanks blossom

Thank you mcbab, hope everything is good with you :)

Bear, yep that's pretty much what dh said, just a waiting game now.

Sorry about your scare Blossom and hope all goes well from here!

Seeing GP next Mon. This period seemed very short. Mine have been short for years but this seemed a bit shorter. Already starting to get cm
On cd4.

jinglebellmel · 12/10/2016 17:31

Maybe they will pick up something hormonal that they can help with then Ali, could make all the difference.

Happy Birthday Ali FlowersCake I'm sorry you're feeling down about ttc.. totally understandable when it's all we want and think about. Hopefully your gp can help by running the tests etc.

Bear and Mel, wow, congratulations! I was exactly the same with feeling detached.. first of all waiting for my missed period, then waiting for a week after my missed period and then waiting for the early scan, and so on. It isn't easy and you feel like you spend most of your days wishing time to pass! However, conception has happened again for you both and you should allow yourselves a little bit of happiness!

Mel the baby aspirin will do no harm I promise! Still taking mine.

Bear that's annoying the vits were making u constipated?! Usually it's iron that does that!

Blossom I'm glad everything going well, that musta been scary for you! Although bleeding is quite common so I've learned! Nearly out of 1st tri now!

Mcbaby hope all is well!

jinglebellmel · 12/10/2016 19:03

Thanks bee! Hope everything is good with you? I think you said you were taking 2 baby aspirin a day, is that right? I'm very happy and grateful to have conceived again, but really allowed myself to get excited last month and then it was a chemical sadly. Trying to keep my feet on the ground this time around if I can!

McBaby · 12/10/2016 19:08

I am still very detached from this pregnancy. I forced myself to get maternity jeans out at the weekend as my regular ones were hurting and too small (3rd baby I can already feel my uterus) but I am in denial I am pregnant!! I have a scan on Sunday at 10+2 hoping to be able to get excited then and actually think there will be a baby next summer.

McBaby · 12/10/2016 19:14

Also freaking out as my bleeding for the mc started at exactly 10 weeks!! So need to get passed then.

jinglebellmel · 12/10/2016 19:25

Hope you're okay mcbaby, it must be a very stressful time. I think the detachment is self preservation really.

Alibaba2 · 12/10/2016 20:23

Does this sound like a normal period to you (sorry for tmi):

Sun: spotting starts at midday which goes to light flow then medium flow (brown)
Mon: heavy flow (red), changing pad every 3 hours
Tues: medium flow to light flow in pm (red)
Weds: spotting and cm

thatsnotmybear · 12/10/2016 21:29

I think there is a huge variation on normal Ali, but yes it sounds normal enough to me. It could be that your body is being efficient. And you're getting a reasonable amount of red blood flow which I always see as a sign of a 'proper' AF (although I had very very light AF when I got pg with my DS, it would barely cover a pad in a day, far too light a flow to use a tampon. Still got pg though...)

Maybe mention it to your GP when you have your blood tests?

jinglebellmel · 12/10/2016 21:31

Hi Ali. Well, I have similar, normally 1 day light/medium, 1 day medium, 1 day light. I'm not sure it's necessarily normal, but mine have been that way ever since coming off the pill before I had my son. Has it always been that way for you? If it's a new thing then I'd say more likely to be cause for concern.

OP posts:
jinglebellmel · 12/10/2016 21:35

When I looked into it everything seemed to say that as long as it wasn't less than 3 days and there was bright red blood it shouldn't cause a problem when ttc. Def mention to dr though as they're going to be looking into things, it might help them to have all the details.

Alibaba2 · 12/10/2016 21:41

Thanks guys.

I've definitely had short periods before. The reason we started ttc#1 is because my cycles were short and periods were short and I was worried about my fertility.

This cycle seems particularly short - I normally get 4 days - but this one started halfway through cd1 and only spotting on cd4. So that seems like less than 3 days.

In terms of volume, I would think cd2 makes up for it!

Good to know it's not that unusual and you 2 have fallen pg with light/short periods.

I will mention it to GP.

I'm in that worrying stage of cycle!

jinglebellmel · 13/10/2016 09:23

It's the worst stage isn't it Ali, hopefully you'll be into the positive bit soon!

I'm feeling awful this morning, really panicy and full of dread, total contrast from how excited I was last month. Took my temp this morning out of habit and it had dropped a bit. I'm not even sure if that means anything, but my stupid brain is thinking the worst!

OP posts:
thatsnotmybear · 13/10/2016 10:49

The general advice is to stop temping once you have a positive hpt but I'm still temping too Mel. I feel like I'd want a head's up if it's another CP. The thought of a healthy pg after 2 MC's in a row feels like a pipe dream doesn't it?
