Can't believe we've filled that thread, hope you all find this one!

Ali - so uncomfortable isn't it?! But I like that I can feel it happening, gives me a bit of warning at least. Yeah, I'm expecting I'll ov Thursday/Friday now which would work out much better than Saturday so fingers crossed.

Why does it think you've not ovulated? Can you post your chart?

I think the Spotting Factor is a bit silly as if I get spotting tomorrow, I will see it as a bad thing. People that normally spot, don't get spotting when they get a BFP, is that right?

thatsnotmybear · 04/10/2016 18:05

For the previous two cycles I've had an ovulation dip, but not this cycle. I think that's what FF is looking for. I think I may have ov'd on CD16. It didn't like my temp this morning either as I woke later than usual after waking in the night (I've got a cold, not sure if that affects temps?)

I don't think FF has explained the spotting factor properly. As I understand it, if you were to spot for one day or even on one occasion right in the middle of the 2ww it would suggest implantation. But if you were to spot continuously in the days immediately prior to AF, it's unlikely to be implantation at that point.

I had a tiny implantation bleed with my DS - it was pink-tinged cm once when I wiped, right around 7dpo, then nothing more until AF was due a week later.

Ali, I think it gives you points for pregnancy symptoms, I found it really annoying actually as it just got my hopes up. Not why they have the spotting factor on there as the one time I did get spotting it swayed my score to not pregnant! When I googled it some people did still get their usual spotting the month of bfp, if it's not early enough for preg hormones to have built up yet then I guess your body will continue on its normal course until they are high enough. Last month I still got that yellow ewcm that I associate with Af coming, it didn't change to creamy until after I'd got the bfp.

Bear fertility friend is an arse I think. I have to fake my temps all the time as it blatantly ignores all my other signs (this month it wanted to out ov 2 days before I got a positive opk!). Can you post your chart?

Bear I'd say cd16 too, have you tried putting it into research mode? I find that sometimes works better.

thatsnotmybear · 04/10/2016 18:28

Just tried that Mel and it has me ov'ing on CD14 before I even had a +ive opk Hmm

Alibaba2 · 04/10/2016 18:37

Yes I would say 15/16 for ov.

Perhaps your temps were higher than average for the beginning of cycle because of leftover pg hormones which maybe has skewed your cover line.

I have got fairly strong cramps which feel too strong to be implantation so I sense AF is coming this weekend.

jinglebellmel · 04/10/2016 19:01

Haha okay that doesn't sound right then bear! Def looks like 16 to me.

:( sorry Ali, how many dpo are you? Last month I'd say my cramps around 9-11dpo were worse than period pains and I think that must have been implantation.

OP posts:
Alibaba2 · 04/10/2016 19:14

I'm 9dpo - I've had them since 7dpo. I get them every month though. Expecting spotting tomorrow.

jinglebellmel · 04/10/2016 20:20

If you think about though at 9dpo it's quite possible implantation still wouldn't have happened (almost definitely wouldn't have happened at 7dpo) so maybe it's not really indicative either way? It's so bloody frustrating trying to second guess everything.

OP posts:
Alibaba2 · 04/10/2016 20:26

I think implantation takes around 3 days and normally happens at 10dpo - is that right? I'm not sure whether the whole process causes cramps - I presume so.

Anyway, these cramps (whatever they are) are definitely the norm for me now...

jinglebellmel · 04/10/2016 20:44

I'm not sure how long it lasts, a couple of days maybe. I guess until it had happened though you'd just get your usual cramps or whatever as your body wouldn't have had any signals that something different was going on, if that makes sense? So maybe they aren't a sign that you're out - I hope not anyway.

thatsnotmybear · 04/10/2016 20:49

I think implantation dates must vary. I got a positive FRER at 9dpo without FMU. Is hcg produced prior to implantation?

Alibaba2 · 04/10/2016 21:46

I thought implantation cramps were caused by the blastocyst burying into the womb lining. Then once it's attached, hcg is produced.

There is no proof that ICs actually exist. They're just anecdotal.

Anyway, I think what's variable is the amount of time it takes for the blastocyst to reach the uterus and for it to implant. If both are quick then you can get an early bfp.

I read up on this once but can't remember the details now.

TheRadiantAerynSun · 05/10/2016 11:43

Hi, Mind if I barge in an ask for an opinion?

I recently had an MMC. Looks like pregnancy halted at 6wks and MC started at 9wks... last Tuesday to be precise. Bleeding has virtually stopped now.

Woke up this morning with a sharp pain in my side, which felt exactly like OV pain so on a whim decided to test. It looks possitve to me... I don't know as I've never done one before. Maybe it's hormones.

My scan to check everything is OK isn't till Friday, but I have really long cycle and don't want to miss an opportunity.

Hi Radiant,

Have you had a negative hpt yet?

jinglebellmel · 05/10/2016 11:58

Hi radiant, sorry about your miscarriage, I hope you're doing okay. I got positive opks for a couple of weeks after my miscarriage, so for me I think it was just messed up hormones. The pain in your side sounds promising though, do you normally get that or any other signs of ov? If you want to try this month then I'd start as soon as the bleeding stops.

TheRadiantAerynSun · 05/10/2016 12:50

Alibaba - good question! I just checked and yes.

Jingle - I normally get pain and the raging horn Grin It's probably hormones though.

DH will tell me to be sensible and look after myself and wait until the scan on Friday. I expect he'll be right.

Alibaba2 · 05/10/2016 13:25

It could well be ov then...

jinglebellmel · 05/10/2016 14:10

If you've got a negative hpt then that's a good sign that all is well. What is the scan for, to check for retained products? It would probably be sensible to wait until after the scan, but if it was me I'd just go for it I think!

Sorry for tmi question but does discharge on white knickers normally have a yellow tinge? I normally wear black knickers and discharge looks white. Today I'm wearing white and it looks slightly yellow.

jinglebellmel · 05/10/2016 17:38

Ali, yes mine does.

OP posts:
thatsnotmybear · 05/10/2016 17:40

Sometimes Ali. It could be that the discharge is a bit more yellowy today. Both are normal. I'm sure I've read somewhere women reporting yellowish discharge as an early pg symptom.

I definitely have it in the build up to AF. Just wondered if normal creamy cm was always yellow on white knickers.

I remember having loads of discharge in early pg.
