Can't believe we've filled that thread, hope you all find this one!

Ali - so uncomfortable isn't it?! But I like that I can feel it happening, gives me a bit of warning at least. Yeah, I'm expecting I'll ov Thursday/Friday now which would work out much better than Saturday so fingers crossed.

Hopefully you can get one in in the next 24 hours. At least he'll be off work tomorrow so you'll have some time tomorrow.

Get well soon Mr Mel!

jinglebellmel · 30/09/2016 08:04

Thanks Ali. He struggled on in the end, never been more proud haha! Was expecting to ov today or tomorrow but temp has shot up this morning, not sure if that was an early ov or tummy bug on its way for me too. How are you? How many dpo now?

Well done him! Have you had a pos opk yet?

I'm 5dpo today. It's going so slowly!

Alibaba2 · 30/09/2016 09:08

Off for acu this morning. Not sure whether to change practitioners or not as the guy I see is quite holistic but doesn't focus on where I am in my cycle. I tell him what cd I'm on as he doesn't always ask. I definitely feel calmer since seeing him though.

jinglebellmel · 30/09/2016 09:46

Yes got a positive today so hoping he's up for it tonight too, poor man! Hope it speeds up for you 2ww is definitely the slowest and most depressing part of my cycle.

I don't know much about acu, but did think they did different thing depending on where you are in your cycle? I'm sure even the calming aspect must be positive though if nothing else.

Alibaba2 · 30/09/2016 10:23

Oh that's good that you got the pos today (and I presume neg yesterday) so the temp rise can't be ov related.

Bear (and anyone else who's had acu) - does your treatment vary on where you are in cycle?

He does vary the treatment but I think it's based on my tongue and pulse.

I always get needles around belly button and below, inside of ankle and inside of foot, sometimes forearm, sometimes in between thumb and finger, sometimes elbow. And nearly always crown of head.

And a heat lamp on the tummy.

My PMS is definitely better. I used to get the rage!

thatsnotmybear · 30/09/2016 10:40

Morning all, it's a good thing we decided to take a relaxed approach this month as ov is delayed & DS has a vomiting bug!

I'm on CD14 but no positive opk yet. It is looking darker this morning so I'm still hopeful that I will ov this cycle, just not on CD13/14 as usual. I was half expecting delayed or absent ov after the cp, as it's how my body reacted to the first mc.

My acu'ist had a chart showing different placement of needles dependent on where I was in my cycle & worked off that. She took my pulse & checked my tongue too though. And did a lot of abdominal massage (similar principle to the lamp, encouraging heat & blood flow). I'm taking a break this cycle but will probably go back next month. It helped massively with my PMS too.

Alibaba2 · 30/09/2016 13:05

Thanks Bear, that's really helpful.

Loads of tummy bugs going around. Get well soon DS and good luck for fertile weekend!!!

jinglebellmel · 30/09/2016 14:18

Oh no, hope your dh is better in time for ov bear. Sounds like there's a lot going around!

OP posts:
thatsnotmybear · 30/09/2016 20:04

DS is ill, DH is fine but has taken my lack of a positive opk as a green light to go out drinking!

I was prepared for the possibility of not ov'ing this month but am still feeling a bit glum about it. Off to console myself with a glass of wine. Hope everyone else is doing ok.

Bee1234 · 30/09/2016 20:15

Mel what a trooper your DH is! Mine wasn't having any of it when he fell ill haha.

Bear hopefully DS is ok and DH doesn't catch it! I suppose these poor blokes need a night off once in a while! Make sure u enjoy that glass or 2! Im certainly missing my wine!

Ali I don't know much about Acu but I do like the idea of hollistic approach and seems like yours is doing a good job! Love the idea of a belly lamp!

Have a good Wkend all and I hope everyone recovers swiftly!

jinglebellmel · 30/09/2016 20:20

Sorry bear misread that as your dh! Hopefully ov is just delayed a little.

thatsnotmybear · 01/10/2016 07:30

Phew! Peak on the monitor this morning. That's a relief!

Alibaba2 · 01/10/2016 07:38

Phew Bear, have you managed any dtd this cycle yet?

thatsnotmybear · 01/10/2016 07:54

Only on CD12, I'm on CD15 today but made plans to go out tonight as thought I would be post-ov by now! Will attempt to DTD when I get home but I think we're out for this month; DS being ill & the delayed ov has really thrown us off! Never mind, will be back on it next month.

How is your 2ww going?

Alibaba2 · 01/10/2016 07:59

Cool. There is no rush for you to conceive this month so just follow your instincts. There is always the cheeky daytime dtd like we had to resort to (with inlaws in the house)!

I think I'm 6dpo. I was reminded of the second oestrogen surge yesterday when I got some ewcm. I remembered getting a second opk positive during that first month a week after the first.

jinglebellmel · 01/10/2016 08:45

Yay, that's reassuring bear :) shame about the timing, but you never know, could get lucky if you can get one in today or tomorrow. I just did an opk and got another positive but quite a bit darker than yesterday's. Maybe that means I won't ov until tomorrow? Not sure I can convince dh to dtd again tonight let alone tomorrow as well! He managed again last night but could tell he just wanted to go to sleep, poor man!

OP posts:
thatsnotmybear · 01/10/2016 09:59

Thanks ladies, I worry that we can't miss a single opportunity but I need to take the pressure off myself...

Well done Ali for managing to DTD while the in-laws were there! Annoyingly because my DS has had a tummy bug I can't really ask someone else to look after him this weekend (at least not without explaining why!)

Is ov slightly delayed for you as well then Mel? Your poor DH is being a real trooper!

jinglebellmel · 01/10/2016 13:06

I'm not sure bear, I though it was on track when I got the positive opk yesterday, but today's is so much darker I'm thinking maybe yesterday want a positive after all- in which case it's a day later than normal. Makes sense it'd take your body a day or two to readjust I guess. He is being a real trooper! I feel so bad though as I know he's only doing it as he knows how much it means to me.

Ali, dtd with your in laws around is super dedicated!

OP posts:
jinglebellmel · 01/10/2016 13:12

What do you think? The bottom one was yesterday which I thought was positive until I saw today's (top) I never normally get them darker than the control, normally as dark or a tiny bit lighter

Ooo Mel id say Ov is imminent with that second one! First one you must have caught the beginning of the surge and second one is the end! Most likely you will ovulate today / tonight! Good that you got one in yday and if you could just get one more tonight or tomorrow morning you have a very high chance of catching the egg 😊

Alibaba2 · 01/10/2016 14:05

It's weird as I thought I was getting positives and then when I compared with the following day, it looked fainter. I wonder if the lines fade when they dry.

Anyway, it's definitely a pos today Mel. It depends how soon after the surge you ov. I ov about 12 hours after the surge.

So tonight if you can, if not tomorrow morning.

Not only did we dtd with inlaws there. It was a daytime dtd!!!

jinglebellmel · 01/10/2016 14:39

Haha good going Ali!

Well I've sent dh to bed for a rest, so fingers crossed he'll have the energy for tonight!
