Can't believe we've filled that thread, hope you all find this one!

Ali - so uncomfortable isn't it?! But I like that I can feel it happening, gives me a bit of warning at least. Yeah, I'm expecting I'll ov Thursday/Friday now which would work out much better than Saturday so fingers crossed.

Hi bean, totally up to you. If it was me I'd want to know, as despite the massive disappointment and upset this month I'm glad that I have it on my medical records and can push for further testing if it happens again. I can completely understand why you might feel differently though. Sounds like waiting might be the best thing for you, especially if your husband feels the same. Hope you can find some fun things to do over the weekend to take your mind of it and that you have some nice news to share with us next week.

Well I was looking for a new throw for my sofa in B&M bargains and picked up a cheapie £1.49 box of two tests. Did one and there's not even a hint of a squinter! Thought as much :) ah well....at least I enjoyed the merlot ;)

jinglebellmel · 24/09/2016 18:28

How sensetive are they bean?

OP posts:
Thebean123 · 24/09/2016 19:28

Um......no idea! They were an impulse buy as I figured it's only £1.49 im wasting ha! Would check on the box but I'm not home right now. Can't imagine they would be ultra sensitive for that price.....they were called midstream early kit or something like that x

jinglebellmel · 24/09/2016 19:54

Well you never know then! Think you definitely have the right, laid back attitude this month though :)

Strange Bean, keep us posted.

So, I had copious amounts of ewcm on cd6 and cd8 but none since then. And I'm ov'ing tonight.

Should I be worried?

thatsnotmybear · 24/09/2016 22:29

Sorry Bean. Maybe it's worth doing the other test tomorrow morning with FMU?

I wouldn't worry Ali. I only get a day of ewcm & not very much of it, & it's not been an issue (part of the reason I like to use the gels though). It's usually already started to change by the time I actually ov as well.

jinglebellmel · 25/09/2016 09:06

Ali I didn't have any of ov last month, not sure if that was due to the thrush or something else but was pretty dry on actual ov day. Good luck

Thebean123 · 25/09/2016 09:51

Still no AF. Haven't done the other test as like I said before I'm almost positive I'm not pregnant. Just wish AF would hurry up and do her thing as me and DP are raring to go this month!! After taking a little break last month we feel happy and settled and I just want to get on with it!

I wouldn't worry too much either Ali. Ewcm is very hit and miss for me too....was thinking about trying some of the gels this month. Have heard good things about the pre seed?

Alibaba2 · 25/09/2016 11:04

It didn't feel dry. I just didn't notice loads in my knickers like on cd6 and cd8.

I feel like we haven't done enough this month as I ov'd cd11/12 and dtd cd6,8,10,11 but 10 and 11 were not in a good position and loads fell out. Plus I had a bath straight after one of them.

We couldn't manage it this morning.

Strange you're late Bean eh?

thatsnotmybear · 25/09/2016 12:09

Good for you Bean! You're being very rational. POAS can be horribly addictive!

On Tues I will finally be having the smear test that I was supposed to have in March. I'm dreading it to be honest. I'm not normally bothered by examinations but I know I'm going to find it really triggering & will probably cry.

Thebean123 · 25/09/2016 12:55

It doesn't look to me like u haven't done enough Ali.....and I honestly wouldn't worry about loads "falling out" trust me.....what needs to be in there stays in there! Keep the faith and try not to stress out.....easier said than done I know.

Ew everyone hates smears Bear. Try not to overthink it.....I do feel for you though.

Yeah it is strange. Had a warning stomach cramp earlier so expected AF but still nothing. It's more annoying than anything as like I said before I just want to get going with trying again!

jinglebellmel · 25/09/2016 14:10

Bear, I had mine the other week, which was also due in March. Thought it would be awful but I got a lovely nurse who asked me about the mc - not in a medical way but just how far along was I, how was I doing etc and it was actually fine. Hope yours isn't too bad.

Ali, I think it's normal to feel you've not done enough, it's that panic stage setting in once you know it's out of your hands. It sounds like you have though, you've got most of the key days. I think what falls out is just the semen (tmi sorry) the actual sperm head for the cervix straight away I think?!

OP posts:
jinglebellmel · 25/09/2016 14:11

Bean, I'm still secretly hoping you won't need it, but re the pre seed - I got so,e of the one you can buy in boots last month, not used it yet though as it was after ov. I did a bit of googling and is supposedly performed to better than all of the expensive ones in tests.

OP posts:
thatsnotmybear · 25/09/2016 15:59

Thanks ladies. I know I'm going to get upset, but I'm also hoping I can ask the nurse to tell me if my cervix looks OK after the surgery as it can cause scarring.

Bean I'd recommend the Fertility Check Gel you can get in Boots (I think this is the one Mel is referring to) over Pre-Seed. I find the Pre-Seed applicators uncomfortable to use (like sticking a long Calpol syringe up there!)

Alibaba2 · 25/09/2016 18:43

Hope your smear goes ok Bear, they are not pleasant... Good to get them out of the way.

Thanks for the pep talk guys. Wish we'd dtd this morning but just couldn't manage it and have had such a busy weekend.

jinglebellmel · 25/09/2016 19:03

Yes I mean the fertility check that bear is talking about, I read this online -

The latest brand to hit the market - a £12.49 gel available in Boots called FertileCheck - says it can back up its claims with clinical trials.
The product's Sperm Motility Index (SMI) was measured - that is, how much it aided sperm's movement. An SMI of 0.75 or lower is classed as toxic to sperm, while any higher figure may help boost sperm activity. FertileCheck had an SMI of 0.99, higher than all other commercially available products. Pre-Seed, a popular fertility gel only available online, has an SMI score of 0.93.

Not sure if I'll use it or not though as managed last month without and am wary of meddling too much if I don't need to.

Thebean123 · 25/09/2016 19:54

Will definitely look at that in Boots then.....willing to give something else a try this month rather than relying on luck and the laid back approach. AF turned up a few hours ago and she is kicking the shit out of my womb!!!! I'm cuddled on the sofa with a throw, hot water bottle and some caramel waffles ha ha ha

jinglebellmel · 25/09/2016 20:21

:( sorry to hear that bean, how late were you in the end? Caramel waffles sound amazing though! Hopefully now all the moving stress is over it'll happen for you very soon.

OP posts:
Thebean123 · 25/09/2016 20:37

4 days late. Well 3 and a half really I suppose ha! And the caramel waffles are an absolute delight! My DP is a star in the kitchen :)

Alibaba2 · 25/09/2016 20:57

Glad you're feeling ok Bean and staying positive. And onto the next cycle...

jinglebellmel · 27/09/2016 14:29

How's everyone getting on? I'm on day 9 and ewcm is making an appearance. Toddler has a sickness bug so I'm praying he doesn't infect us over fertile week!

OP posts:
Alibaba2 · 27/09/2016 14:32

Ho hum, I feel like I should be doing something...

When should I stop the baby aspirin - 5dpo?

And what should I be doing to help implantation? I'm eating pineapple, Brazil nuts and Pom juice.

When should I start the exercise/brisk walking? It's now isn't it? I'm feeling very lazy...

Blossom I hope you're okay, must be an anxious time for you. Once this scan is done hopefully you can enjoy things and relax. I'm feeling okay at the moment, have my blood tests tomorrow so I feel positive that I'm doing something to try and stop it happening again.

Ali, 2ww is definitely the worst part of the cycle. I think i took asprin until about 7 dpo, someone (maybe blossom?) Was told to take it in pregnancy though so probably no harm in taking it as long as you want.
