Can't believe we've filled that thread, hope you all find this one!

Ali - so uncomfortable isn't it?! But I like that I can feel it happening, gives me a bit of warning at least. Yeah, I'm expecting I'll ov Thursday/Friday now which would work out much better than Saturday so fingers crossed.

Bear, I felt like that for the first 4 days of the cycle. Then the fertile hormones start kicking in and I started feeling like "I can do this" again. Before I was like "what's the point, it's not going to happen". Once that cm starts flowing, the positivity kicks in. Trust me.

I have no idea what happened yesterday with the ewcm. Either I get it every month but don't notice or I got a lot more due to the water/epo/grapefruit juice.

Hope you feel better soon!

jinglebellmel · 21/09/2016 07:43

Hi Ali, a bit up and down, trying to stay positive and believe it will be third time lucky (but failing a bit!). Not long until fertile week for you now!

Glad you're feeling positive bean, I'm also back on the healthy eating, have also added no sugar to the list now which is fun!

Bear, hope you're okay. See how you feel, a month off wouldnt hurt if your hearts not in it right now. But you are obviously pretty fertile so there's something to be positive about at least x

Hi bear....I know how you're feeling wanting a month off. Exactly how I felt this last month. The fact that we moved house and had a lot of other stuff going on was a good "excuse" but I suppose deep down I just wanted a month where I didn't have to analyse every symptom and get stressed that we hadn't dtd enough or at the right time, and then endure the dreaded two week wait etc. I must say it has been a relief. And I'm also not going to lie and say my mind has completely shut off from ttc this month but it has been a welcome lack of pressure. Even though I do want to "try properly" this month I think the month off that I had has put me in a much better mind set and hopefully I can continue to have a more relaxed ttc month. (You can all show me this message and laugh at me when I'm stressed in 3 weeks ha ha)

Hope you're feeling more up than down today Mel :)

Ali you still bathing in ewcm today?!

jinglebellmel · 21/09/2016 09:52

Haha, I'm sure you'll still be totally relaxed in 3 weeks bean!

Had a positive appointment with the GP, he agreed that 2 in a row is very bad luck at 31 and said it wouldn't hurt to get the ball rolling and do some tests. im booked in next week for bloods for some hormonal things (including testosterone) and clotting. I'm not sure if there's much they can do for the hormonal things anyway but I feel better knowing that he took it seriously at least.

That's great Mel. I did think your GP would be more supportive than you expected. I still need to get my blood test results, obviously the hCG result is irrelevant now but I'm interested to know the thyroid result.

I've just been given access to my older medical records online & was looking at some blood test results from Aug 2015. The tests wasn't related to ttc, but oddly enough I found that one of the results was highlighted as being above the normal range. I googled it and it turns out it's a vitamin B12/folate/folic acid deficiency, of all things...

I've been taking a supplement since the mc but I'm wondering if being naturally deficient in B12 might've played a part? Will definitely discuss with the GP though as Dr Google isn't to be trusted!

Bee, what you've said is spot on for me this month. I just don't think emotionally I'm strong enough to really go for it. But Ali's also right in saying that my mood will hopefully improve closer to FW anyway. I tend to think of AF as the Boring Bleeding Phase!

thatsnotmybear · 21/09/2016 10:31

Sorry, Bean, not Bee!

jinglebellmel · 21/09/2016 12:13

Bear, yes he was great actually, I've not been at this surgery long and previous one was dire! I did read something about being deficient in folate, and how some people can't metabolise the synthetic form (folic acid) so they need to take a more natural form. Would be great if you could find a nice, easy to fix cause.

jinglebellmel · 21/09/2016 12:14

Bear how did you get access to your records out of interest?

OP posts:
Alibaba2 · 21/09/2016 14:11

Bean, no more ewcm since Tues. I'd say it's more watery. Interesting as I normally only get AF, creamy cm, 1 day of ewcm, creamy cm then AF again.

I did get a line on the opk today but not positive so I hope I'm not ov'ing just yet. Cd8 is way too early!!!

Glad GP was helpful Mel!

McBaby · 21/09/2016 15:13

Bell and bear it sounds like you both have helpful gps and sometimes doing something helps you feel better and more positive than just worrying about things!

It's my scan tomorrow at 6+5 so hoping there is a baby in there this time! I am very nervous. I have awful morning sickness up to 8 times a day with neusea 24/7! I didn't have any with the mc so hoping this is all positive !

thatsnotmybear · 21/09/2016 15:22

I usually get a few days of watery before ewcm Ali. The watery stuff is reasonably fertile, next best thing to ewcm!

Mel my GP surgery offers something called Patient Access. Annoyingly I've moved around a lot over the last few years so have been registered with different practices, so my records aren't very comprehensive. But there is some info there, like the blood test results from last year (no explanation or analysis though, just the figures).

I spoke to a GP today about my recent results. Beta hCG on Friday afternoon was 8, far from viable. Thyroid came back normal - yay! Also he told me not to worry about the B12 stuff - I hadn't quite interpreted the data correctly, the result doesn't indicate a problem & I wouldn't need to take anything more than the pre-conception multivitamins I'm already taking.

He also said, in the nicest possible way, that I should try not to consider the very very early mc of last week as a continuing pattern of the mc in May. He wasn't being dismissive, but he could tell that I was making connections & medically speaking, there's no reason to.

jinglebellmel · 21/09/2016 16:54

Tha sounds positive bear. It's hard not to make the connections but he's probably right. Third time lucky for us I hope!

Mcbaby- good luck with the scan, I'm sure you must be feeling very nervous but it all sounds positive so far. Will be thinking of you.

Sorry Mcbaby I missed your post, good luck for tomorrow.

Alibaba2 · 21/09/2016 18:18

McBaby, good luck for tomorrow! Definitely a good sign you have so many symptoms. Let us know how it goes.

The copious ewcm is back! Opk still negative - PLEASE stay that way for a few more days! The eggs are not ready to hatch yet!

Bear, glad GP visit went ok.

Bee1234 · 21/09/2016 20:04

Hey Bear just to carry on with what you said about Vitamins.. I decided to switch mine to solgar folate ( rather than taking folic acid ) and also take solgar B12 Sublingual Methylcobalamin (b12 in a purer form) When I looked into MC I read that taking these forms could help ( my bloods also showed a b12 deficiency ) and one can't function without the other! Could be totally irrelevant but I decided to go for it anyway as it must be helpful taking things that don't have to convert in the body!

Mel I'm glad you got an appointment and hopefully it's eased your mind a little!

Mcbaby, best of luck tomorrow! I'm sure everything will be great and nausea is def one of the healthiest signs of a pregnancy going in the right direction!

Ali good luck with Fertile week 😊

Bean I'm loving your laid back approach!

jinglebellmel · 21/09/2016 20:24

How much do you take of each bee?

OP posts:
Bee1234 · 21/09/2016 20:35

The folate is 800mcg and B12 is 1000mcg

thatsnotmybear · 21/09/2016 21:05

That's really interesting, thanks Bee. Where do you buy yours from?

Bee1234 · 21/09/2016 21:11

I get them from Amazon 😊 It could be doing absolutely nothing, and like ur GP said, it may have no relation what so ever! I just figured small changes could make a difference!

thatsnotmybear · 22/09/2016 06:31

Morning all, does anyone have their menfolk on a supplements regimen? My DH takes the Centrum Men Multivitamin but am wondering if there is anything else that would help (while I'm stocking up my Amazon basket for myself!)?

Alibaba2 · 22/09/2016 06:47

My OH takes zinc and vit c. I hear folic acid is good for them too.

jinglebellmel · 22/09/2016 09:16

Hi bear dh is on the well man conception vits, vit c, zinc and folic acid.

What are you buying for you bear?? I'm taking all these vits, no alcohol, now trying to cut out carbs and sugar and I'm just wondering if I'm going a bit mad?! Fell pregnant with my son taking no vits, drinking, eating crap, maybe I'm trying too hard this time.

OP posts:
thatsnotmybear · 22/09/2016 13:05

I'm going to go for the folate & B12 that Bee recommended, and stop taking the Seven Seas Trying For a Baby multivitamins (I also don't like the fact that they're called that?!)

I've found a multivitamin for DH that contains a lot more zinc than he's currently taking too.

jinglebellmel · 22/09/2016 13:23

Sounds good bear, fingers crossed for you. Did you decide to have a month off in the end or are you going for it this cycle?

Mcbaby, hope scan was okay, let us know!
