Can't believe we've filled that thread, hope you all find this one!

Ali - so uncomfortable isn't it?! But I like that I can feel it happening, gives me a bit of warning at least. Yeah, I'm expecting I'll ov Thursday/Friday now which would work out much better than Saturday so fingers crossed.

Good news Blossom!

Can't wait to find out what you're all having!!! x

thatsnotmybear · 15/09/2016 16:32

Great news Blossom!

For those who have had or are having early scans, can you remind me how you initiated the process? Will I automatically get an early scan (at 8 weeks say) because of the mc, or will I just have to wait until 12 or 13 weeks like any normal pg? Did you see your GP, or book in with a midwife?

I'm only 4 weeks today. My plan was to watch & wait for the next 2 weeks then tentatively make a booking in appointment after that?

Bee1234 · 15/09/2016 16:39

Ali sorry AF reared its ugly head! Urgh! But like one of the others said, new cycle, new chance! I'm convinced you're super close! October has to be your month! I'd say take the aspirin for about 5 days after ov to boost implantation!

Great news about the scan Blossom :)

Mel I would say 7 weeks is a gd time to have a dating scan, just to check you're on track and bean is where it should be!

I had my 12w scan yday and all went well! HUGE relief. Everything came back as low risk AND... We're having a boy! Yay! I de el like me and OH can finally start getting excited! Well at least a little bit 😊

How's everyone else? Bear?

Bee1234 · 15/09/2016 16:47

Oh bear I think we posted same time haha! For me I'm doing my antenatal private so I was able to go and see my ob/gyn at 8 weeks. I requested for 8w as first little one didn't make it past 7 1/2w. NHS won't see u for an extra scan due to MC but if you went to gp and asked for a referral to the EPU to calm nerves I'm sure they would do it for you! Otherwise it's just the routine 12w scan! Hope this helps x

Alibaba2 · 15/09/2016 17:12

Yay Bee, an ickle baby boy bee!!! What's your due date? Glad everything came back low risk.

Thanks for the advice re aspirin! Keep everything crossed! x

That's great news Bee, so glad it all went well!

Bee1234 · 15/09/2016 20:08

Thanks all. I was so shocked when they said boy just wasn't expecting it! Very happy to have a boy as my first though 😊 Due date is March 24th!

Yes I get what you mean about nice experience blossom.. And would feel the same about going back to the bad news one!

thatsnotmybear · 16/09/2016 12:41

I've done another test today and the line is barely visible. I've made a doctor's appointment for this afternoon but I think it's a CP. I'm on CD30/17dpo and AF is 4 days late, so no point being cross with myself for testing early as I would've tested as soon as AF was due/a day late anyway. I feel broken.

McBaby · 16/09/2016 13:07

Bear what tests are you using? I don't trust the darkness of tests anymore. after bleeding after my positive I was doing ics and they didn't get darker and I convinced myself it was over but my hgc jumped from 67 to 670 still with a very feint line!

My early scan is a follow up appointment for my mc with a lovely consultant and a very good scanning machine so I am hoping it will cofirm everything is ok.

thatsnotmybear · 16/09/2016 13:21

Thanks Mcbaby. A small part of me is still hoping for the best. Unfortunately it's the same (FRER & digi) that I did a week ago. The line on the FRER is almost non-existent and the digi said Not Pregnant, so it's not looking good. I have no bleeding or spotting so I'm not sure what to expect next, or when. Hopefully a blood test can confirm things either way, because the not knowing is torture isn't it? Sad

McBaby · 16/09/2016 13:41

The not knowing is awful. I still stressed after the bleeding a couple of weeks ago that the scan will show something is wrong.

Sorry your going through it bear.

Alibaba2 · 16/09/2016 14:28

Bear, hoping everything is ok and your GP can help this afternoon. Keep us posted, thinking of you.

jinglebellmel · 16/09/2016 18:06

Sorry to hear that bear, I'm hoping you've just got a dodgy test. I did an Internet cheapie today which was a total negative and has got me a bit worried, still getting 1-2 on a digi but as I first got a line on Monday I'd have thought Hgc should have been strong enough to to get something on a cheapie by now?? Will try and get hold of a first response tomorrow to compare properly.

OP posts:
Bee1234 · 16/09/2016 18:17

Oh Bear I'm so sorry to hear that.. How stressful that must be for you. Hopefully it's just slow rising HCG and your doc can confirm everything with a blood test.

Mel I really wouldn't trust ic.. Especially if bought from Amazon! I read up reviews on a batch I'd purchased after getting false negatives and the reviews were awful! These were meant to be sensitive ones too! I'd stick with the main brands for peace of mind!

Thanks bee, I hope so. Finding it so hard to stay positive this time around, but will try and do a decent test tomorrow. These are supposed to be 10iui, hopefully they're just really shit!

Bear was the dr able to shed any light or is it a case of waiting for the blood results? Hope your okay x

Thanks blossom.

Ali how are you feeling? Are you taking the aspirin still?

OP posts:
Alibaba2 · 16/09/2016 19:35

Yes still on the aspirin. Still only cd3. Time is dragging! Not feeling very positive, I must say.

Hard to keep on with the juices, pills, exercise etc. I guess you just have to get on with life as much as possible.

Trying to get into the next Robert Galbraith book.

Those ICs really are crap aren't they?!

McBaby · 16/09/2016 19:44

Blossom I saw a consultant privately who diagnosed the retained products, she says to see her again after next period which I haven't had as I'm pregnant and she still wants to see me! She had said it was v small and it was ok to ttc but not sure she expected it to be first month!

McBaby · 16/09/2016 19:48

Jinglebell the ics are absolute rubbish they gave me a faint line when my hgc bloods were 670!! Just throw them away. If a digital says it believe today you are pregnant (I can only take it one day at a time)!

jinglebellmel · 16/09/2016 20:39

Hubby just went and got me a first response, line is much lighter than Tuesday, barely there at all :( I feel so numb. Digital was still saying 1-2 earlier this afternoon but I guess hcg is on its way down

OP posts:
Alibaba2 · 16/09/2016 20:49

Mel, the line is there. Don't worry too much about the colour.

Maybe it's normal for lines to be dark or light dependent on how diluted your urine is rather than how much hcg you have.

And the one earlier today was fine.

Try not to worry.

Castleonacloud · 16/09/2016 21:03

Hi, sorry to gatecrash....

I had 2mc. Lost the baby early both times, but didn't know the first time. I felt 'ill', just knew something was wrong. Had an internal scan, and was advised I'd lost the baby. Had a D&C. Few months later the same thing happened, but on my 3rd pregnancy, was told to go straight to the early pregnancy unit and be scanned, they also gave me a high dose folic acid and aspirin. It stuck this time...

I bled often through the pregnancy, to the point I was losing clots and thought I had lost the baby, I was induced 3 weeks early cos of unexplained bleeding, but my DS is fine...

Don't give up xx
