Thanks all, caution it was ivf I was extremely lucky as it worked first try.
I will keep my fingers crossed for more positives by the end of the year Grin

pickle162 · 26/10/2016 19:30

Good luck karen we are here for all the way through x

INeedNewShoes · 26/10/2016 19:47

Karen - great to see you on the thread again Smile. Fab that you're approaching your next IUI cycle.

Lovely - sorry that your 1st trimester wasn't straightforward, but lovely to see your scan news. Fingers crossed for you that things settle down now so that there are fewer worries along the way.

Stork - you must be really excited Smile Fab that a few of our thread dwellers are about to embark on a treatment cycle. Lots going on at the moment!

Kwick - sorry that you're still itching. When are you having your blood tests? Good that the GP is investigating properly. I think it was today you were hoping for AF to make an appearance. I hope things are going to plan! Try not to stress if not.

I feel horrible this evening. Scan tomorrow and I'm just so scared Sad

kwick · 26/10/2016 19:58

Arthur/Martha/Pickle hope things get better very soon. So excited you are getting nearer to really starting.

Thinking of Taydex too. Hope she is still lurking Grin

Oh wow lovely! Someone is looking after you! I'm pleased it worked on first attempt for you. I was debating on IVF rather than IUI, but decided to stick with IUI.

Shoes you'll be fine. Deep breaths. Let us know how you get on? Try and keep yourself busy tonight. Maybe have a nice bath and get an early night? What time is your appointment tomorrow? Will be thinking of you.

karen it's nice to see you back on the thread. How are you feeling now? Are you feeling a bit more positive?

I emailed the clinic early last week regarding my weight & initial consultation and they still haven't got back to me. Driving myself mad because I just wanna know whether I can book an appointment or not but don't wanna bug them by emailing yet again...

pickle162 · 26/10/2016 21:44

Hehe kwick you make me laugh :)
We are lucky to have such a lovely group on here :)

shoes I'm keeping everything crossed for you sweetheart, hope its a nice early appointment so your tummy can stop swimming with nervousness.

caution just ring and ask the question, they will have a certain amount of days that they reply in but if you want to know now (well not obviously this second as they won't be at workGrin) then just call in the morning

CautionHormone · 26/10/2016 22:02

That's true pickle. Just don't wanna feel like I'm bombarding them with silly questions Hmm Confused.. even though I have only send one email Grin
And I agree - we are lucky to have a lovely bunch. ❤️

Karendvm · 26/10/2016 23:07

caution absolutely call them. Sometimes it takes a little gentle pushing from our side to get things rolling.

shoes I can't wait to hear how it goes. I think everything will be just fine!

I'm making myself think positive. Going to write out a list of positive affirmations to keep on my always. This can work. I will get pregnant. My baby will be ok and I'll have a healthy child at the end of this road.

CautionHormone · 26/10/2016 23:35

karen I think that's a great idea. What you should do is write out one positive affirmation on a sticky note, but write loads out, and stick them all over your house so you see them all the time - on your bathroom wall when you're brushing your teeth, on your fridge, where you eat your dinner... That way you'll constantly be reminded Smile

Karendvm · 27/10/2016 01:24

Yup caution I like that idea. I'm going to do that.

kwick · 27/10/2016 08:20

I am loving thd PMA karen Grin

Itchiness still here - new place every day... looks like I have to extend my trip - so no blood tests this week...

Still no sign of AF.... not surprised I am so stressed with this work situation my body is most likely shutting down.

Happy Thursday everyone!

caution give them a call, maybe they forgot, just don't stress about it.

kwick have you tried Epsom salts or oats in the bath? Great for calming ichy skin

pickle it'll be your turn before you now it!!

INeedNewShoes · 27/10/2016 12:03

Scan was good! I feel absolutely exhausted now after all the worrying, which now seems daft!

Karendvm · 27/10/2016 12:06

Oh shoes!!!!!!! I'm so happy for you! What fantastic news. Get some rest and enjoy knowing everything is going well.

CautionHormone · 27/10/2016 12:55

karen it's what I used to do when I revised for my exams. I still swear that it's the only thing that helped me pass!

lovely you're right. No harm in a phone call!

Oh shoes I am SO pleased for you. That's amazing!! Get some rest now and enjoy the rest of your pregnancy xo

pickle162 · 27/10/2016 14:46

Yay shoes don't know how I missed ur post but totally yay sweetie!!!! So happy for you xx

CautionHormone · 27/10/2016 17:52

pickle hope your AF isn't going to be too bad for you.

So today, girls, I rang the clinic.. I'm booked in for my first consultation on 9th December! Grin I've decided to stick local so that I can have my mum with me for moral support after a conversation with her. I'm pleased with my choice, though. I have approx. 6 weeks to lose 8-10lb... totally doable, right??! Confused

Karendvm · 27/10/2016 18:16

Caution absolutely doable. Best of luck with the weight loss. I have no advice, other than make sure to include a nice walk every day. I think it helps to relax you, plus it helps with the weight. Very exciting to have you consultation book.

pickle hope af isn't too rough, but great to know your body is doing what it is supposed too.

I'm really liking my positive affirmations. I think it's really helping me

pickle162 · 27/10/2016 18:16

Ooh yay well done you!!! Totally achievable if u put ur mind to it...I use my fitness pal which is fab (when ur head is in the game)

Lovelyholiday · 27/10/2016 18:17

shoes you're not daft for worrying, it's exactly what I've been doing for the last 3 months too! How exciting for you, it really is amazing to see.

pickle put your feet up with a bar of chocolate and a glass of red 😊

caution excellent news! And yes you can do it!! Where there's a will there's a way

HopingForALittleOne · 27/10/2016 23:17

Good luck caution I'm trying to lose weight at the moment too - it's so hard but I'm determined - we can do it xx

CautionHormone · 27/10/2016 23:25

Thanks girls! Nice to know that you believe in me more than I believe in myself Grin such a weight off my shoulders now that my appointment is finally booked and my journey is finally starting.

karen, a nice walk is definitely on top of my to do list. I take my dog out every day anyway but usually it's only for a twenty min walk cos she's only a small dog, so I'll be taking her on a longer walk now. Plus I think my gym membership may as well get used..!! 😂 Have you done what I suggested? :)

pickle thanks for the app suggestion - I'll download it now & have a look. Anything to keep me on track!

I agree lovely... I'm determined, and I usually get what I want Wink

CautionHormone · 27/10/2016 23:27

hoping - sorry - we posted at the same time near enough!
If you don't mind me asking (and don't feel obliged to answer) how much are you planning to lose? Is it for treatment, or just generally to feel better?

We can do it, I believe in us!! X

CautionHormone · 28/10/2016 13:21

So I weighed myself this morn, and I weigh 4lb less than what I thought I did anyway Grin still going to lose 8-10lb though if I can so I'm "well" under the 35 mark :)
