No worries pickle. Due 22nd Jan, scan next Tuesday and yes to finding out the sex.

INeedNewShoes · 31/08/2016 07:36

Hoping - it's so lovely to hear that you're doing well Smile Thanks for coming back and checking up on us!

Things are looking ok here this morning. The bleeding yesterday was only a tiny bit and very short-lived so I will assume it was just a little bit of old implantation blood making an appearance.

Thinking of you today Kwick and that you get a good progress report on your egg.

Lovelyholiday · 31/08/2016 07:51

shoes I'm so pleased! Take it easy today. Have you tested again this morning?

kwick I hope your little egg has been busy overnight, and you are feeling a bit better today

Thanks all for bloating tips, think part of me is just going to have to suck it up, but I will be using your tips too.

INeedNewShoes · 31/08/2016 08:33

I did a test with my FMU using one of the Cassanovum tests. It is darker than yesterday's FMU but still quite faint. I'll test again later in the day probably with the other FRER from the pack I bought yesterday, then that will leave me with one ClearBlue Digi for tomorrow.

I wish pregnancy tests grew on trees Grin

I've been in touch with the EPU. The receptionist is going to ask the nurse from the unit to call me back.

Lovelyholiday · 31/08/2016 08:52

I know right??? I've ordered more Internet cheapies so I can keep checking on the little one, not sure I'll rest until the scan tbh.

shoes that line is getting darker!! That's fantastic new, remember everyone doubles in hcg at different rates.

Pleased you have called the unit, they will help you.

kwick · 31/08/2016 10:33

How exciting hoping!!! Best of luck with the scan.

pickle you will be a mummy before you know it.

shoes what a relief! Cannot wait for you do to the FRER!!!
I am telling you all we all need to buy shares!!!!
So glad you have been in touch with EPU. Keep us posted - we are rooting for you Smile

I had a terrible night - still awake at 1am and have decided to stay at home again. I was just so worried and I felt so empty.
However the clinic has just rung - my very good quality egg has fertilised!!!!! Embryo transfer likely Friday afternoon!!!!
They are going to do assisted hatching again to give it the best chance at implantation.
So happy!!!

Also new Sky box is due to be delivered today - can things get any better Grin

Brilliant news Kwick! I'm so pleased for you Smile

I don't think the EPU are going to be able to help me. The nurse spoke to a doctor who said heparin isn't necessary Confused I've said that my GP and my internet research both say that heparin needs to be started as soon as possible once a pregnancy starts. She's going to double check and get back to me, but it doesn't sound hopeful, does it?

Trying not to stress. Apparently drinking plenty of water helps to thin the blood a little, so that's easy and obviously no risks attached so I'll be drinking like a fish from now on. (Do fish actually drink?)

Tomorrow I'm going to make a big batch of curry with lots of turmeric, cayenne, ginger and garlic – all natural blood thinners.

kwick · 31/08/2016 12:41

shoes what a bugger!
Your natural alternatives sound great! I will be on cayenne from Friday (yuck!)

I am not sure if fish drink... But the poor things certainly swallow microbeads Sad

Wow! The things I have missed because mumsnet randomly stops sending me notifications.

Shoes I am so pleased for you! Fingers crossed that things progress well. I hope you get some answers from your doctor.

Kwick cant wait to hear how the transfer goes. I'm happy your eggy is doing well.

Hi hoping! Good luck with your scan, hope the baby is doing well.

I went to a naturopath yesterday. She is switching my prenatals, and adding in more magnesium and Vit D3. Also going to be drinking nettle tea every day. Starting acupuncture next week and already have my reflexology session booked for next Wednesday. Has anyone heard of Circle and Bloom meditations? I started the free one last night. I think it was good, but I fell asleep soon after I started it, which is amazing because I haven't been able to sleep for weeks now. So maybe it worked well, or else I am just so exhausted that I finally konked out. They have a series that matches with your cycle, and I'm think about buying that one.

Lots of great news on this thread lately, I hope I get to join you next month!!

Lovelyholiday · 31/08/2016 16:16

kwick Fantastic news!!!! Im so excited for you! Now rest up and take it easy, get yourself in tip top condition for fridays transfer.

Shoes What a pain, i always think it very much depends on who you talk to on the day, keep pushing for what you need, guilt trip if needs be, they are so reluctant to prescribe anything these days, and most people will just walk away and accept it. How did the FRER work out this afternoon?

Karen Its only a matter of time for you! But those meditations sound amazing! Do they do ones for pregnancy too?

I feel less bloated today which is great, as I was fit to burst yesterday!! officially 5 weeks today :)

Karendvm · 31/08/2016 16:31

lovely they have different meditations for all stages. They have ones if you are doing a natural cycle, iui/ivf, pregnancy, preparing for birth, etc. And I'm going to check out the miscarriage one too because I think I'm still having some days where I struggle.

pickle162 · 31/08/2016 17:52

Go kwicks super egg!!!! Keep going little one!!! Good luck for Friday Hun

INeedNewShoes · 31/08/2016 19:02

Evening Smile

Karen which prenatals are you using now? I'd just done a very expensive order of Wild Nutrition fertility supplements (all absolutely natural and no soya which I'm allergic to). But they've said they're ok to take in pregnancy so I'll finish the bottle whether my pregnancy continues or not.

I've decided to keep my last FRER until tomorrow (my OTD). But I've just done my remaining ClearBlue digital to convince myself and it came up with 'Pregnant 1-2' so that's rather pleasing Smile

The hospital have now agreed that I should be started on heparin and they're going to see me within the next week or so, which seems ok really.
I've started taking Aspirin. If it starts having a bad effect colitis wise I'll just have to stop taking it, but there's no way I'm waiting a whole week for blood thinning meds without starting the Aspirin. I was thinking about when I miscarried and when I was scanned at 6 weeks they had said I only measured five weeks, so it seems to me that even at that early stage the embryo wasn't getting what it needed so I feel the need to take some sort of action ASAP.

INeedNewShoes · 31/08/2016 19:04

I've just realised I started not just one, but two sentences with 'But' in that post. Must try harder Grin

kwick · 31/08/2016 19:24

karen not heard of circle and bloom but sounds cery interesting - will give a go. Thanks for the tip!

shoes great news!!! So glad you were finally heard. Also great news about bfp - I will not say I told you so.... Wink

Just had a bit of a blow out at Superdrug... note to self: stop buying beauty products - you have no where to put them!!!! One in one out policy must start!!!!

Shoes Im so happy for you!! Im going to keep my fingers crossed its a sticky one. Sounds like you are doing everything you possibly can, so try to stay positive :)

Kwick I like your style...your little egg is a lucky one!!

pickle162 · 31/08/2016 20:13

Ooh shoes that's fab that they've agreed to start you in heparin :)

Haha kwick I like how you have brought out the whole of superdrug test kits :) and the pineapple lol

Karendvm · 31/08/2016 20:57

Hahaha I didn't even notice the pineapple, all the tests distracted me!

I'm blowing the bank account and throwing caution to the wind and doing everything I can to relax. Bought the meditation series for iui/ivf and will let you know what I think. It goes with your cycle so I'll be starting it next week.

Karendvm · 31/08/2016 22:14

Hey shoes. I'm just switching to a new brand. Not sure what they are, my naturopath is getting them in. I guess they have a different form of folic acid that is easier to absorb.

kwick · 31/08/2016 22:21

Wow karen that Circle & Bloom stuff is expensive! Think I will stick with my CD from Helen Mcpherson.

OP posts:
INeedNewShoes · 31/08/2016 22:36

Sounds good Karen. It'll be folate which is the natural form of folic acid so a good move if you were suspicious of folic acid.

Apart from anything else my stomach didn't like folic acid at all where as folate has no side effects for me.

kwick · 01/09/2016 08:05

shoes did you POAS? Any pictures?

Also where can I get Folate from - I need 5mg?

I have started up with the crinone gel and cyclogest - oh the joy!!!

On bus on way to work... Feels like ages since I last did that Hmm

Good news here. I've got an appointment with a doctor at the hospital next Thursday. This is the best I could have hoped for really, so I just need to cross my fingers between now and then that Aspirin and drinking lots of water do enough to thin my blood in the meantime.

Latenightreader · 01/09/2016 10:17

Everyone seems to be so much more organised than me regarding vitamins and supplements - I'm just taking folic acid and vitamin D!

Smiley face this morning, IUI tomorrow. The nice doctor is performing it, so please keep your fingers crossed that my uterus behaves itself and they can actually complete the procedure this time. Then cayenne pepper and pineapple all the way!

Lots of news from everyone since I last checked - am keeping my fingers crossed for you all.
