Really hoping that eggy does well kwick.

pickle162 · 30/08/2016 15:53

Good luck little egg xx

INeedNewShoes · 30/08/2016 17:16

My fingers are so tightly crossed for your egg Kwick Smile I'm pleased you've taken the advice to prioritise the transfer.

I'm ok. I've been researching natural blood thinners as an interim measure until I can get hold of the meds I need. You can actually buy cayenne tablets but I was concerned my colon might not be impressed (medical history of ulcerative colitis). So after a useful trip to a posh pharmacy with knowledgeable staff I've got grapeseed capsules which are an anticoagulant and seem to be safe in pregnancy.

I also bought an FRER in the hope it'll give me a conclusive answer as I've been getting shadowy lines on my test again. Maybe another chemical pregnancy, but this morning's line was a little darker (but still faint) than any of last month's tests. More fingers being crossed over here...

Lovelyholiday · 30/08/2016 17:30

shoes Yey!!!!!!!!!! Keeping my fingers crossed for you Grin
kwick sending lots of good thoughts to your egg, hoping the magic potion does the trick!

Glad you are taking it easy this week, look after yourself.

I'm so bloated it actually hurts, any natural baby friendly solutions you ladies can think of?

INeedNewShoes · 30/08/2016 17:34

Shhh. Smile No yays or congratulations permitted until Thursday (my otd). I need a more convincing line. I've had two chemicals now so I know that until I get a good line and then a step darker the following day I mustn't get my hopes up.

Just trying to be quietly optimistic Smile

Lovelyholiday · 30/08/2016 17:41

OK...mouth zipped... but it's still smiling 😊 (in secret obvs)
I can feel it in my bones..it's a good month!

INeedNewShoes · 30/08/2016 18:11

Hmm... well now I haven't got an effing clue what to think.

I've just got home and was horrified to see that I was bleeding a bit Sad but then did an FRER and got a lovely strong pink line. Anyone get the impression my little egg is trying to cling on for dear life but battling against my inhospitable sticky blood?

Aargh! Why the feck is nothing straightforward.

Lovelyholiday · 30/08/2016 18:18

shoes I don't know too much about the bleeding but everything is have read has said not to worry too much about it, it may well be implantation bleed. The fact that you have a lovely strong positive I'd good news.
Do you have any selinium supplements? If so take those as they are supposed to be good for uterine strength. I have been taking them and will continue to.

Try not to worry, or give the epu a call to see if they can prescribe you the meds you need Flowers

pickle162 · 30/08/2016 18:21

Lovely you can get peppermint cordial from supermarket which drunk hot helps me with my ibs bloating loads! It's quite sweet so if prefer not so sweet, then try peppermint tea bags.

Oh shoes how confusing, bleeding doesn't always mean the end so just keep on holding on to that little bit of faith

Keeping everything crossed for you and kwick xx

Lovelyholiday · 30/08/2016 19:02

Thanks pickle will try that, feel like there's no room for food in there atm!

hopingandwaiting · 30/08/2016 19:43

I have been keeping an eye on you guys and keeping up to date with where you're all at - congratulations lovely, and my fingers are crossed for shoes and kwick.

A bit of implantation bleeding is apparently perfectly normal shoes, as is cramping similar to period pains - some say it can even be a good sign.

lovely, I have no advice re bloating - I suffered with it till about week 13 and actually had a bigger bump in the afternoons then than i do now at 19!

Keep positive everyone - I am watching with interest and positive thoughts for you all xx

kwick · 30/08/2016 19:43

shoes my fingers are firmly crossed for you!!! you should always have a FRER in stock!!!! if I get to transfer I am so gonna stock up

According to my protocol I will be on this from tomorrow:
-Clexane injection daily (yep the ones with the blunt needle
-75mg aspirin
Then from Thursday also:
-Crinone gel twice a day up the fanjo
-Cyclogest pessary twice a day up the jacksie or fanjo

I think I may opk out the HCG from the trigger. shoes what time of day would you recommend?

lovely have you tried syrup of figs? Or just some fresh figs?

shoes could it not be implantation bleeding? Quick contact your clinic! Or what lovely said
PMA coming your way!!!

Plus my extra special sanskrit chant - repeat after me:
Vakra tunda mahaykayya
Koti surya mahprabhab
Nirvingnam kuru me deva
Sarvakareyada sarvada

Feeling a bit peaky...may be off sick tomorrow too.

INeedNewShoes · 30/08/2016 19:53

Thanks everyone.

I've been getting faint positive tests since yesterday morning which should mean that it implanted a few days ago (I think you only start producing HCG once the egg has implanted), so the timing doesn't seem right for implantation bleeding. Oh well. What will be will be.

It's Clexane that I think I need Kwick. I do wonder whether I should try to get a private appointment with a consultant in the UK to get the ball rolling with the Clexane but would I then be stuck paying for private prescriptions for the duration of the pregnancy? I absolutely cannot afford that.

I've got an appointment with my GP on Thursday morning who I am really hoping will try to get me seen by the high-risk pregnancy consultant at the hospital as a priority.

But Lovely that's a very clever idea to phone the EPU to see if I can get in that way. I'll phone them first thing in the morning.

Kwick for testing out your HCG trigger, you need pregnancy tests rather than OPKs I would have thought? (Correct me if I'm wrong!)

Incidentally I have discovered that my FMU is very weak for HCG. For me it seems to be a case of the later in the day for pregnancy tests the better.

kwick · 30/08/2016 20:05

shoes so CRGH charges £50 for a box of 10 Clexane injections - this is 20mg. An initial consultation us £200. I really really hope your GP or the EPU can get this for you with just a prescription charge.
I have some left over from my last cycle... Just saying I promise I am not a drugs mule
BTW UCLH - which near to your work , I think, has a walk in EPU - you could go now?
My cousin spotted all the way through her pregnancy.

I am sure I have read that I have read you can use OPKs for this... Going research this - God my memory is so pants. Also need to ask clinic tomorrow if I need to stop DHEA...

OP posts:
kwick · 30/08/2016 20:06

Scratch that - it is only open in the mornings Angry

OP posts:
INeedNewShoes · 30/08/2016 20:10

Thanks Kwick. I've just been looking up obstetric haematology consultants and will make some calls tomorrow to enquire as to whether I could pay for a private appointment but then somehow get further prescriptions on the NHS.

I'm at home now (Buckinghamshire) so not in London. I think that the UCLH EPU is no longer walk in. I looked into it when I was bleeding during my pregnancy in March.

I hope you feel better soon Kwick and don't come down with a nasty lurgy.

INeedNewShoes · 30/08/2016 20:10

Oh, but it is still walk in in the mornings?

pickle162 · 30/08/2016 20:10

Wow waiting how did 19 weeks come around so quick?! How is everything going, must be your 20 week scab coming up soon? Are you going to find out the sex? When ru due. Sorry so many questions just excited :)

kwick · 30/08/2016 20:14

When I went to UCLH EPU in April it was still walk in.

I like you plan for initial private prescription.

pickle you are so good at remembering Grin

shoes I meant to say: I was born in a little village in Bucks, Brill, where my grandparents used to live (both have now passed). No doctor present, mum just did the focused breathing thing, I rather think that and the fact that my mum ate ground up eggshells to up her calcium intake when she was preggers with me (unbeknownst to her they had been dipped in arsenic) expains a lot about me 😜
We went back recently to tidy the grave - I used to love spending half terms and summer holidays there.

kwick · 30/08/2016 20:50

Also still concerned about caution I hope she is well wherever she might be. Come back caution we miss you!

pickle162 · 30/08/2016 21:07

Yeh it's been ages since we heard from her, hopefully once she is back from her holiday she will re join us :)
I'm very envious of all ur journeys at the mo, which I could be trying,my ovaries are bursting!!! Hopefully when the 2 new babies in my life arrive I can get some broodiness out

INeedNewShoes · 30/08/2016 21:10

I'm further East in Bucks (dangerously close to the border with Beds Wink)

I know Brill though. It is lovely over that way. Maybe we should all be having egg shells a la arsenic!?

I'm worried about Caution too. We're powerless without her contact details. Hopefully she'll return looking slightly sheepish for worrying us all when it was just that she was busy busy busy and not keeping up with the thread.
