Ooh yes def stay around lovely we want to know how you are getting on too!
kwick I don't like milk anyway so it's not biggie :)
Our service went through a tender and our company lost, I applied for a job that was still within my current company but was a lower grade but hopefully less stressful and less long hours but also less pay.hopefully at some point I can get my grading back up and more money but we'll see. May be able to do some private work to bump it up if needed, just dont want to do that because of the tax forms etc but who knows

kwick · 28/08/2016 23:46

Oh God pickle you just reminded me I need to sort out my tax return... I have paid someone to do it that last two years but I hope I can go solo this year to save some money.
Fx you get boosted right back up the pay scale!

FTLOG (for the love of God) just did my trigger injection and managed to cut my finger when breaking open the liquid glass bottle.... Never done this before, blood went everywhere! Anyway injection of Pregnyl all done and have a Star Wars plaster on my finger...

Going to watch a bit of "My Dream Home" season 1 on YouTube and then sleep. Night night everyone!

How exciting kwick! Bring on Tuesday! How much milk do you consume in a day? I think I should increase how much I eat/drink.

Yay pickle! Good for you for saving so much.

shoes I'm still hoping you get your bfp. Thinking about you.

Nothing much to report....its been really hot today, so I've focused on getting some stuff done inside. Appt with naturopath this Tuesday, hope to get on a very positive path in gearing up for the next cycle. One good thing is I seem to finally be pain free from everything that happened with my cysts. Hope everyone enjoyed their weekend.

Lovelyholiday · 29/08/2016 00:15

Oh God kwick sounds painful! Although at least you didn't stab yourself right through your finger and into your thumb with the mixing needle like someone I know!! And yes it still hurts now Confused

I'm going good! Bit tired occasionally but apart from that very few symptoms.

karen pleased you are feeling more pain free, that must be a relief

2Bobs · 29/08/2016 11:45

Hi ladies, I was sooo excited to find this thread! I looked for ages to find something like this but somehow overlooked it (typical!)

I have, of course, read all of the posts in this and the earlier threads - although I kind of felt a little cheeky reading them, like maybe I should have asked permission? I just wanted to say wow you've obviously been through so much and it's lovely to see the support that you've been able to offer each other. I'd love to join in if that's ok? I'm willing to do an initiation test which I assume will involve huge amounts of milk, pineapple, and cooking programmes?

My partner and I (sounds very formal!) are preparing for our first attempt at IUI and it all feels a little surreal at the moment in a balancing act of daring to dream and impossibly trying not over invest.

pickle162 · 29/08/2016 12:13

Welcome 2bobs haha no initiation needed :)
Ooh exciting, have you had all your tests etc ( just trying to gather lots of info for when I start)

Karendvm · 29/08/2016 12:29

Welcome 2bobs. Smile. When will you be doing your iui?

2Bobs · 29/08/2016 12:42

Hi Pickle and Karen, thanks for the warm welcome.

We've had the counselling, blood tests, and scan. When I say 'we' I'm referring to myself in more of a supportive role ;) as its my partner who will hopefully carry (I'm getting her up to date with this thread as we speak) Having said that the clinic we've been using has been really inclusive of me as a same sex partner which has been positive.

We considered trying this month but we were waiting on smear test results so rather than dealing with anxiety about whether they'd arrive on time we decided to just hold off another month so hopefully 5 weeks time. We've been tracking ovulation to practice for a few months and hopefully have a good idea of dates (obviously just jinxed it though)

kwick · 29/08/2016 14:53

karen I guess I am averaging about 2 pints a day at the moment!!!
Glad the pain has gone.

Oh God that sounds painful lovely

Welcome 2bobs!!! Best of luck with your IUI!

Tes01 · 29/08/2016 20:35

Hello Ladies,

I'm looking into London IVF clinics as I want to have a baby with donor sperm. How did you find your donor sperm? Looking to go to IVF Hammersmith if it all works.

Any advice

Tes x

kwick · 29/08/2016 20:47

Thanks pickle my mum is coming with me - need to have someone there otherwise they will not discharge you. I am coming home but if up to it will do some work in the afternoon.
Supposed to be in Paris on wednesday - friday. Big dillema as I have to consider egg transfer. Shall I just go for Wednesday? Guess I will ask clinic for their take.

Welcome tes!
I am with CRGH using donor sperm - which I got from Xytex in USA. Prior to that I was using magic potion from Cryos in Denmark.
Your clinic normally advises on sources and may have a preference, they may even have their own donors but if like ne you have very specific criteria then you may need to look around.

pickle I normally fast forward through the breaks but I cannot trust that I will get a good recording. I finally contacted Sky on Friday and my box is so old (2007) they cannot provide technical support! New box is on its way!

OP posts:
kwick · 29/08/2016 20:49

BTW as I will lose all my recordings with the new box I have been rewatching the things I had on "keep" and one is this amazeballs way to understand baby cries which was on the Oprah Winfrey show - I have added to my wish list for when the time comes Grin

You'll be fine kwick just remember that needle is one step closer to your baby!

Love that study, it's on the most part true, but once you have your baby they will have their own unique cues, it really is amazing to watch how effective they are at communicating.

shoes any news?

Welcome tes good luck with your search!

INeedNewShoes · 29/08/2016 20:59

Hi and welcome to Tes and 2Bobs

Tes I'm using Stork klinik in Copenhagen, so the sperm is easily organised through the clinic as they're within minutes of Cryos Denmark. So I'm afraid I'm not much help re the process with the London clinics.

Kwick - good luck for tomorrow Smile You'll be fine. It's mind over matter which I reckon is within your skill-set given your PMA! I recommend some slow breaths with long exhales if you're stressed out or in pain (it does make a difference, honest!).

pickle162 · 29/08/2016 21:31

kwick difficult dilemma,Def speak to your clinic as they will know roughly when you need to be around for egg transfer. Paris isn't a gazillions miles away if you needed to come back but would it be easier for work for you not to go- is it something you can do with a conference call so they still get ur input :/ presuming not but your eggs are more important

Hi tes welcome, some of the clinics will use certain cryo banks and some have their own. I've been looking for over a year (have had a long wait of paying things off and starting to save now) but I really want my child to look like me-so always attracted to donors with similar features-dark hair and eyes and medium skin tone so we will all likely have our own wish list for the donor

INeedNewShoes · 29/08/2016 21:52

Kwick - to echo Pickle's advice, you need to put yourself first here. You'll be putting extra pressure on yourself if you are banking on transfer being on a certain day because of your work commitments.

Easier said than done, I know. The logistics around working really do not make this easy!

pickle162 · 29/08/2016 21:53

taydex if your reading....when are you due? Is it November time, can't remember if it was Feb time when you got preg. Please let us know what you had when the little one arrives. Hope you are keeping well X

Karendvm · 29/08/2016 23:43

Hi tesSmile
I used xytex. I used their 24 hour free account, sat down and downloaded every profile that I liked. Then I could review them as I wanted to without time pressure. If you have multiple email addresses you can do this once for each one. This was my second time trying to pick a donor (first time pick I can't get anymore) and I always thought it would be hard but each time it was always the first guy that I looked at that I kept coming back too. Good luck!

Karendvm · 29/08/2016 23:44

kwick you have been waiting so long for this. Put yourself first. Take care of yourself and relax. I'll be thinking about you.

kwick · 30/08/2016 05:30

Thanks for all the advice lovely ladies - where would I be without you Smile
