Karen you need a good reason not to do this month and I think you should definitely push for the clinic to discuss it with you. I understand the need to feel as though you're doing something. If they give you a decent rationale though it might feel ok to let next month go. Flowers this is tough, but we're all here and we all understand so make the most of us to vent and console.

I've wondered whether my clinic will start being less happy to see me after a certain number of attempts - after all it doesn't do their stats any good! But so far my clinic have been great so I'm going to assume everything will be ok for the time being.

Kwick I'm intrigued by your slightly weird sounding yoghurt cake. I'll have to give it a go next time I do some baking Smile

INeedNewShoes · 14/08/2016 15:49

Kwick you probably don't expect your Rabbits to swear quite as much as I do when I'm doing DIY Grin

kwick · 14/08/2016 16:30

I assure you shoes the recipe is well used in Spain Grin now I just need to get the recipe off my mum for the absolutely delicious "Coca Maria" and I will be away I think the reason why she will not give to me is she knows I will bake and consume it immediately, this way she has me on rations

We legged it back from the allotment to watch Murray play - but he is not on until 7pm! Never mind - nice to be watching a bit more if the Olympics. But why is no one there?

karen hope you get some answers tomorrow

Still no sign of caution Hmm

Ha ha ha ha shoes you should have heard me swearing in the attic. It was epic! Diy always sounds so good in the beginning......

Karendvm · 14/08/2016 17:04

kwick as always your words gave me the boost I needed today. And shoes thank you too. It is most definitely the in action that drives me nuts. Six months and I've tried once. Gah. Not cool.

kwick · 14/08/2016 17:49

shoes fanks for tip on Boots - I will investigate further Grin

karen you're welcome ma'am! We all have low times just remember: the sun will come out tomorrow, bet your bottom dollar there'll be sun! (It does not matter if that sun is not in the UK, SOMEWHERE in the world there will be sun!)

Have a great week ladies xx

kwick · 15/08/2016 09:40

My consultant has left CRGH to be a lady of leisure! What a w!nkstain! She was the expert in natural IVF Angry

I was tempted to follow her to new clinic but one of my fav nurses just told me she has not gone anywhere new just taking some time out with her family. Cannot argue with that!

Anyway just waiting to see a nurse but had scan and all good to continue. Lining below 5mm and 4.2 and no cysts on ovary (I only have the one).

lovely is it d day?
kwick that totally sucks that she has left :( so what happens next after this scan?do you have to have anymore scans or tablets or can egg collection be arranged?

Well fri looking after my friends little boy was lovely and thankfully I only needed the loo when we were at home not out. His youngest bro has been throwing up all morning, not sure whether I feel sick or not but would quite like to be home away from the sick worrying that I'm going to get it as I really need to be well this week.

Karendvm · 15/08/2016 12:08

Ah kwick that sucks! Do you know who you will have as a consultant now? I'm glad the scan went well. :)

INeedNewShoes · 15/08/2016 12:42

I need help! This test isn't quite positive is it? I've been caught off guard. I was sure I wouldn't get LH surge today so didn't bring Clear blue tests to work. I don't want it to be positive. It's a bit early (CD 11) and I haven't had any ewcm.

What do you think?

Kwick that's so frustrating that your trusted doctor has left but good news about your scan.

taydex · 15/08/2016 12:58

Oh, I always find (found) those ones really hard to tell. Looks negative to me but sometimes I didn't get much stronger than that. Can you pop out and get Clear Blues?

Karendvm · 15/08/2016 13:02

So close! Can you go buy a CB? Looks like you are almost there! But it's hard, isn't it-like taydex said sometimes that can be as dark as it will get. Does your dr do bloodwork for the surge as well?

INeedNewShoes · 15/08/2016 13:55

Phew. Went out and bought a box of Clearblues and it's negative. I'll test again in a few hours to be sure but hoping it won't go positive today as the lack of ewcm suggests things aren't in prime condition yet.

Thank you Karen and Taydex for responding so quickly! I was pretty sure it was negative but I've seen so many lines of late I can no longer see the wood for the trees, so your back up was much appreciated Smile

Lovelyholiday · 15/08/2016 17:45

kwick what a blow re your consultant, im so sorry! But great news you are good to go and hopefully your new consultant has been fully briefed and is on top of things for you.

shoes nearly there!! how exciting, this month is your month!!

pickle well remembered, yes I had my transfer today, its been an emotional rollercoaster i can tell you, tears keep coming off and on, and im willing this to work with everything I have!
My friend came with me so I wasnt alone, which was great as she certainly took my mind off any anxiety!
I had one blast transferred which I have affectionately named Hewie (after the clinic) He was a top grader and already hatching, the RE said she couldnt have hoped for any better and is feeling quietly positive. Its just down to his Mum now to hold onto him. 3 will def be frozen and the other 2 are being decided tomorrow.
My official test date is the 26th, not sure i can wait that long but will see. (i tested today just to make sure the trigger shot was gone and it has, so if I do get a positive from now on, it will be true)
Am teaching baby massage tomorrow, with some real tinies, not sure ill be able to hold it together, am a wreck....but in a good way......The wait begins....

kwick · 15/08/2016 17:51

pickle next scan next Monday and then likely daily until egg collection. No worries - only need to be in 3 different countries at the same time next week Confused
Glad toilet situation was ok & hope you are now well away from the lurgy!

Apparently my new consultant has long hair and blue eyes... Absolutely no idea who that is but may not even need to see them. Just hoping it is not the cow that "explained" the MC options to me.

shoes I am crap with OPKs... So glad karen and taydex were on hand!

Ceiling fan installed and working. NEVER AGAIN!!! It has definitely given me a distraction, but holy heck it was terrible. Looks pretty awesome though. Wink

lovely glad today went so well. Think happy relaxed thoughts and treat yourself well.

Almost there shoes. Excited for you!

Called my re today. Guess the month off is to allow my ovaries a chance to settle down. It sucks, yes, but it will be nice to not have pain in my ovaries I think. It's been pretty constant since the cysts and today I actually mowed the lawn with no pain. And I want to try and focus on relaxing this month. I feel like I've been putting a lot of pressure on myself. Perhaps I need to learn to sit back and accept that it WILL happen when it happens.

I'm on vacation this week, so just going to relax and read and sleep. And maybe go and buy a new chair for the living room.

kwick · 15/08/2016 18:35

Completely missed update from lovely on et!!! I am an awful threader

lovely best of luck to you and huwie Grin take it easy, lots of PMA & pineapple & cayenne pepper!

karen glad you have decided to take things easy :) it does take it out of you and you can easily underestimate the stress and tension you are holding.

Wow shoes that came around fast!

I just fell over in the street... Tres embarassing. All my own fault - me and my hypermobile ankles... Anyway about to have my bacial Grin

OP posts:
INeedNewShoes · 15/08/2016 18:47

Wow Lovely that's brilliant that it has all gone so smoothly. Smile Try not to test too early - I nearly drove myself potty last cycle. I've resolved to wait until at least 12dpo next time.

Karen that sounds like there's good reason to have your next attempt next cycle. I have to say I am a bit fed up with all the logistics of doing OPKs at the right time, wondering which day I'll need off work etc. The novelty has most definitely worn off! I'll have to give September a miss as I've run out of money really anyway.

Well done on the ceiling fan. I'm hugely impressed that you've done that yourself Smile

I've had such a busy day at work and now I'm on my way home to do freelance work. It's good to have the distraction!

Kwick and to think I'm finding my logistics tricky! So do you know how to apparate?

kwick · 15/08/2016 21:26

shoes not sure what apparating is but if you are wondering how I will be in 3 places at the same time then so am I. But it will all work out - meaning I will prioritise me and extricate myself from everything else....

May I just say that John West sardines are much nicer than any of the other brands I have tried 😁

Other random titbit: I finished "Spectacles" by Sue Perkins this weekend - hilarious, heartfelt, crued my eyes out in parts. I highly recommend it!

OP posts:
INeedNewShoes · 15/08/2016 22:00

Well, now that you have finished Spectacles I would suggest that you read Harry Potter . It will fill in the gaps in your knowledge about apparating Grin
