Get to it shoney. Wink

Hi Mrs C welcome to the ttc jungle. I'm also 30 and ttc #1. There's no judging here just poas addicts lovely people to reassure you or in bobo's case, egg you on (excuse the pun!).

LuciBee231015 · 18/08/2016 21:38

Well done shoney!!! Get going girl!

MoonlightMojitos · 18/08/2016 22:00

This thread is moving so fast at the moment!

marmite hope you get through to someone more helpful and get booked in. How are you feeling now? Many symptoms kicking in?

Looking good shoney! Hope you get some bd in!

Fx for you in 2ww johno 😊

Cd8 for me so suppose I better start getting on with dtd... Dp on nights tonight so having a nice chill out before it starts again lol.

MrsCW86 · 19/08/2016 07:53

Thanks everyone Smile Luci my obsession started pre coming off the pill too! I'm CD2 of cycle 3 but my cycles are a bit all over the place.

Desperately resisting the urge to buy opks as DH starting a course soon which means he'll be away during the week for a few months... And can totally see myself getting stressed out dropping everything and driving out to see him just to DTD every time it was positive so for now don't think it would do my head any good!

marmitecheesetoast · 19/08/2016 08:18

That's a good strong positive opk shoney!

Thanks moonlight, I just rang up now (their office hours are 7-4) no one answered but their was a voicemail saying either leave a message and they will ring you back or to email your details. So I've just emailed them - hopefully I will get a response!! Think I need to feel like something is actually happening in order to process that this is real!

Good luck to the tww-ers! Try to hold out testing as long as possible I say as this next stage if you get BFP is soooooo sllloooowwww

marmitecheesetoast · 19/08/2016 11:02

A really lovely lady from the hospital just rang me back - said they would want to get me booked in as soon as possible, especially with it being my first. So not really sure why the woman on Monday said it was too early to be ringing them! Envy she asked me a few questions and have got booking-in appointment on 6th September, which isn't too far away really! I'll get my first scan appointment booked in following that apparently. Now I just need to figure out what to tell work!

I feel better now i've spoken to someone and 'on the system'. Although it's also made it even more terrifying as more real!!

marmitecheesetoast · 19/08/2016 11:04

And in terms of how I'm feeling moonlight mainly exhausted, really thirsty, needing to pee constantly (like 3x in the night Confused) slightly nauseous some days but starving others, and sore boobs and lower back! I'm about 6 weeks now which means the real sickness could start any moment which I'm quite scared about!

sarahhh1984 · 19/08/2016 11:20

I'm dreading full blown sickness, marmite!

I'm similar to you at the moment, drinking a lot, peeing a lot and then alternating between nausea and hunger. I'm also quite bloated, a bit like AF bloating but a bit more and my boobs are going massive. Will need to go bra shopping next week if they keep this up! x

sarahhh1984 · 19/08/2016 11:48

Oh, just saw your message about getting booked in too, marmite, that's great news. That other woman clearly doesn't know how to do her job properly. Your appointment's the day after mine so we can compare notes, haha! Smile

I work freelance so luckily I don't have to explain myself to anyone, but I want DH to come to the appointment with me so we've just agreed that he should just tell work what's happening and ask them to be discrete for now. His bosses are super supportive, though, so it should all be good. He'll just need to show them a copy of my appointment letter when I get it to prove there's a real appointment. There seems to be a huge difference between how men and women get treated when they deliver this news at work! Angry

MoonlightMojitos · 19/08/2016 12:30

That's good marmite glad you're all booked in. Fx for both of you that the sickness doesn't get too bad, hopefully you'll just have that bit of nausea and no worse :). When will you tell work? Is there no one you feel you could tell and trust them to keep it to themselves?

LuciBee231015 · 19/08/2016 14:16

Sarah and marmite, how nice that your appointments are close together, you can compare notes! ...and let the rest of us read them of course! Exciting times!

I'm excited for people to test, who's next?! X

tatatetelle · 19/08/2016 15:15

Hi everyone, so much going on around here!

I'm very happy for all, with a little bit a waiting for some, it looks like it's going into the right direction Smile

I don't think this is the best thread for me though, as I am nowhere near ov and poas tests sadly.. I found another one with ladies closer to my situation (referrals, fertility treatment, IVF...) so will be moving there.

Best of luck everyone! xx

Seven0fNine · 19/08/2016 16:04

Good luck Tata xx

So excited for you Sarah and Marmite - glad you had a better 2nd phone call Marmite! Please keep us posted you two, it's so lovely hearing about the next bit.

I have been totally obsessed for ages too Luci and MrsC - the babys room is already planned in my head... doesn't help having a 9 month old niece and two pregnant friends!

I took a test this morning Luci and it was another bfn so I've decided I'm imagining symptoms and if I was preggers I should deffo know about it by now and my body must just be getting used to not taking the pill...I just wish AF would turn up(!!!!!!!??????????)
In the meantime I'm just carrying on DTD as often as possible.

Anyway since deciding all this my taste for wine has come back which completely resolves my dilemma of not drinking tonight and tomorrow. Steak and red wine tonight with DH and taking my best friend out for her birthday tomorrow. She will be delighted there are no bfp's yet because when I told her we were ttc she got upset because she was going to loose her wine drinking buddy (oh and because she doesn't reallllly like babies! lol!)

LuciBee231015 · 19/08/2016 16:37

Seven, Every tiny thing that happens to me I immediately think PREGGERS! ha! Wishful thinking. Still haven't had my first af yet so I highly doubt that I am. Still will dtd as often as I can though just in case. Not going to do any more ov tests tho, just going to wait it out.

Day 19 off the pill today. Latest symptom severe constipation (sorry for tmi!!) I've never known anything like it!! 🙈

My pink cm has gone now that only lasted 2 days. Nothing else to report on really!! How are you feeling?x

marmitecheesetoast · 19/08/2016 16:52

Ooh that's exciting sarah great to have someone to compare notes with and to be going through the same stage as me! I don't know if you feel it's a bit early yet but there's a thread for people due in April 2017 on the antenatal boards section. I've been tentatively sticking my head in but still feel more at home on the ttc side of things!!

Glad to hear the updates from the other side of BFP are interesting and not boring/annoying anyone yet

luci and seven I know how frustrating it is waiting for AF to come after stopping pill! Mine took 38 days to arrive first cycle. I then had a 36 days followed by 38 days again before BFP. So it would seem my cycles hadn't sorted themselves out at all yet still being so long but didn't stop sperm meeting egg! Just go to wait and see if it sticks now...

sarahhh1984 · 19/08/2016 16:58

If it helps any symptom spotters, my early, pre-BFP symptoms were:

  • Tender, expanding boobs
  • Cramps (like AF cramps)
  • Odd cramps, more like sharp pinches and twinges
  • Stuffy nose, feeling like I was getting a cold (apparently this is really common)
  • Dry mouth/perpetually thirsty
-Frequent peeing

Obviously some of these are just the same as AF symptoms while others are pg symptoms but only looking back now can I see it was pg symptoms. Before I got my BFP I thought I was just getting a cold and AF at the same time. The cold symptoms are apparently a big giveaway that you're pg, but almost everyone assumes it's just a cold! xx

sarahhh1984 · 19/08/2016 16:59

I've introduced myself on that thread, marmite, but I'm like you. I feel like I still belong here right now! I think I won't 100% feel pg until I've seen a midwife... Or puked! Xx

Shoney85 · 19/08/2016 17:06

Hope the sickness isn't too bad, had a couple of friends who have had it really bad.

I came off the pill in mid January and didn't have a proper period till June so I know how frustrating it is waiting for it to come back.

Another day another positive, on it again tonight, had day of various symptoms Inc feeling sick. Glad it's the weekend to chill out. I'm usually a big exercise fan but going I will just go for walks and chill out. This weeks workouts have been a struggle

LuciBee231015 · 19/08/2016 17:23

Another positive!! Wehey! On it again tonight Shoney! Fx for a bfp for you in a couple of weeks!x

BoBo90 · 19/08/2016 17:56

Good luck Tata! Wishing all the best and hope you aren't waiting much longer for a bfp xx

Glad to hear you are all booked in now Matmite and the second convo with the hospital was a much more positive experience 😊

I have been having ov style pains or the last week and it's pissing me off big time 😡 Just did an Opk and seems I'm a day or two away from ov... I was hoping I was already in the tww but no luck! So I can't test with you Johno 😭 You best get a bfp to cheer me up 😉 And loved your egg pun earlier btw 😁

Cookie my sweet how are you doing? Did you get your ultrasound because you suspected pcos or because you'd been trying for -a year- 16 months?? 😆 I'm thinking of making a dr appointment about this pain but I want a scan this time not just told its lower back pain 😒

Anyone due to test? Claire? Lou?

MoonlightMojitos · 19/08/2016 18:14

Best of luck tata

seven my first cycle off the pill I convinced myself I was pregnant! Nausea, funny twinges, tingly boobs and everything. 2nd cycle when I actually got a BFP I had no symptoms at all until a week or so after getting the result! It's surprising how much the pill effects us and you don't realise at the time.

Johno85 · 19/08/2016 18:47

Hey bobo. Maybe it's just your body fucking messing with you. I'm assuming I'm in the tww. I will save my very best fmu and hope my cub has made it to the cave.

DH is going to the GP next week to see how he can get his swimmers checked. Thought we'd try that first before me going in and asking about a scan just yet.

I've been having some really odd symptoms which i went to the GP about yesterday (non pg related). Every time I bed over really far (I.e. Putting my bike boots on) my head feels like it fills with bloody and my face goes purple, feel like my eyes will pop out.

Sounds dramatic hey. I've had sinusitis a fair few times and it's different. Gp was lovely but not too concerned. Did the normal checks. The only thing odd was that she picked up a heart murmur so I'm going back soon for an ecg. She says it's probably benign so I'm staying calm until then.

I did Google heart murmur and lo and behold...."heart murmur can be an early pregnancy symptom due to the increase blood volume in the body". You literally can type in any symptom and someone somewhere has asked if its related to pregnancy lol.

So that's my ramble. 2ww (I hope) continues.

Anyone else poas this weekend? X

marmitecheesetoast · 19/08/2016 20:25

Oh I must have missed you on that thread sarah. It's got so many people on it and moves so fast! A lot of the people on there have done this all before too!

I know how frustrating it is waiting for first AF off the pill luci and seven. It took me 38 days for AF to arrive. MY next two cycles were 36 days and then 38 before bfp so they never really settled down into 'normal' length cycles before bfp. And that didn't stop sperm meeting egg for me! Although now I've just go to see if it sticks...

My early pg symptoms were mainly bloating and wind Grin plus, in hindsight, weeing more and just generally feeling a bit knackered/under the weather. Boobs actually felt totally normal and only just starting to hurt now. However, Do.No.Symptom.Spot!!

I've had sinusitis beofre johno and its horrible, poor you! Hope you feel better soon!

Good luck to all those testing soon!!

sarahhh1984 · 19/08/2016 20:32

Yes, meant to say that in my post actually! Do not symptom spot. You'll just drive yourself mad! x

Cookie22 · 19/08/2016 22:46

Hi everyone, how we all doing? I'm finding it to hard to keep up! I hope yous don't think I'm being anti social but I've been actively trying to 'not think' yea rightabout ttc this month. I have zero OPKs in the house and I'm going to try hard not to order any!! My best friend (who started trying at the same time as me) just found out yesterday that she's pregnant. I feel overwhelmed with happiness for her as I know how much it means to her. Months ago at the start of this journey we'd spoke about how amazing it would be to share the whole experience together & it just makes me more determined than ever to get my bfp now!!

How's all the tww'ers doing?? Who's waiting to test?? Bobo hun hopefully ov won't be too far away! I got my ultrasound because I've been experiencing pelvic pain during ov, particularly in the right hand side. The ultrasound didn't give me any answers though so we're going to be referred to the fertility clinic as soon as my next blood test is done and hubby gets his sperm analysis (booked in for Aug 30th). I'd definitely recommend going to the gp if you have concerns as the whole process just seems soooo long! CD13 for me and going to start dtd more often but prob won't ov for another 10 days or so. 100% doing the cold turkey this month!! Xx
